poor customer service.
Employees at this establishment have poor attitudes, never pick up telephone for to go orders, on their cell phones, manager always overlooks employees bad behavior and the wait time for a to go order that is placed 20 mins prior to customer arriving still take 45 mins wait time to receive once customer has arrived to pick up. Even when there is only 2 tables being used in the restrurant. This is not a one time occurrence, it is an every time occurrence.
never got food then cook and waitress walked out while we there
Our boss was back on medical leave two days and on payday 10 of us went to huddle House in Williamsburg ky around 1215 a.m. the waitress played on her phone almost the whole time we were there, didn't write down any orders, only have of us got our food but everyone had something missing from their order. My husband and I ordered our food, he had to request his Pepsi twice before she brought it and never brought our food out. We noticed no food was cooking and a woman came in and told us that both the cook and waitress had walked out and quit. There were other customers besides us as well. We waited for a manager to come so we could pay for our drinks and leave. The manager was mortified and very friendly.

We called and lodged a complaint Thursday, April 13th about our visit on April 12th about 8:30 am. We were promised someone would return our call "in a few days". Here it is Monday the 17th and no response. We called the corporate number and now they have changed the menu so that you can't get a person to speak to.
The complaint was that when we walked in with our service dog, the manager started yelling at us from behind the counter that no dogs were allowed. I yelled back that he was a service dog and he said it didn't matter. Then he said I should have come up and showed him my registration right away, which by law I am not required to do, and when I did show it to him he was still abusive and yelling at me and my wife. He walked outside, I assume to try to cool down, but came back in and stood over my wife at the table as if he expected her to do or say something. She finally stood up and asked him what he wanted, so he starts yelling at her for saying anything. Something like he can stand where he wants. She said we were going to contact corporate, and he said fine, go ahead, he would too and he wasn't going to get fired, just watch! Then he proceeded to KICK US OUT OF THE RESTAURANT, REFUSING US SERVICE for having a service dog. This is not only illegal, but a FEDERAL offense. Somebody needs to respond quickly to us personally By phone or we will indeed sue.
manager/gm
The gm has a her kids working out there. Her daughter is the managers. Let's her wait tables an keeps the tips. Changes the hours on their checks. They are completely rude. This place is a joke. Some thing needs done about them. They are stealing money from the company. They will wait till the customers pay an then void the oder. The place is not cleaned right. They have roche's. They dont make employees wear gloves. All the employees are on drugs including the manager. This place really needs looked into.
customer service
I can't provide a specific date due to every time I call to place an order, they never answer the phone. I have witnessed the waitresses turning the phone volume down so they don't have to hear the ringing. I go up to huddle house and ask for their phone number and I am given the same one i've been calling to no avail. This is very frustrating when you just...

After going to this huddle house I will never eat at another one. The place was disgusting. The waitress melody was rude. She walked away before we even finished ordering I asked for dessert and was told no They advertise things on there menu that most of the time they don't have but now I think it's just because they don't wanna make it. I have problems every time I go. Last time I went I asked for cheesecake but couldn't get it because they had let it sit out all night and this time I was refused any. Melody is a very rude person and should not be in customer service. I will never step a foot back in huddle house. The place is filthy the floors and windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. When we finally got the food everything was cold the eggs weren't done. I was Given 10 at the most 15 fries. I took a picture to show proof. I've never complain about a restaurant before till now I don't understand why huddle house on mike padgett highway Is still open or that melody is an employee
As an employee for Huddle House in Montezuma Ga I first want to apologize to you for such a horrible experience. I also want to ask you to keep in mind that not all Huddle Houses are like the one you experienced well at least not the one in Montezuma Ga. If you are ever in the area please stop in I would love to make it up to you and show you what Huddle House is all about.
bad management
I don't know how to put this in words, but how the manager works her employees is just ridiculous. She has them working shifts almost back to back, she is barely there half the time, and there is this policy that family can't be up there unless they are buying something. I went there and ordered some food and was going to stay there for a while, but my husband told me that wouldn't fly with her; so I had to leave. New employees quit shortly after getting hired and some are threatening to quit because of her bullying. The on the job evaluations do not guarantee employment, despite what the workers are saying and she has a short fuse. Someone needs to get this woman fired and get a manager who can keep employees, set reasonable hours for all workers, and does not "forget" to pay her employee while remembering to pay everyone else.

management
Debra hudson is a rude, cocky, selfish, low-down hussy with no class whatsoever! She has people working in her establishment who drink on the job, come back to the restaurant under the influence of alcohol/drugs, and steal from the establishment whom she thinks are her friends. She wanted me to help her move for free just so she could stay the boss of me b/c she knew I had a truck (definitely not an appropriate request to make of an employee). Did I do it? Hell no! Not for her! The two people who ended up doing it for her are, as employees, a very big part of what is wrong with her operation. If that is not a walking definition of incompetence, then just you tell me what is. I have taken consideration to the idea of taking the whole thing to a higher level, but the upper management in the company pretty well worships the ground that she walks on (pretty clueless, huh). Huddle house has some good food; that is why it is such a shame that they allow people like this to run their restaurants. I have already quit her once and for all, and I will not even consider crawling back to her. I would rather starve to death than compromise my dignity! Nobody in town likes her, and I have seen firsthand the reflection of it on her sales and her employee statistics. Take it from me, debra hudson cares about nobody but herself, and if you are reading this, than I would strongly advise you to boycott the huddle house in madison, ga. Have a nice day.
I was NOT fired, I kicked THEM to the curb. That was made clear in the article. And trust me, every word spoken is TRUE.

unfairness
Huddle house in dillon is very very nasty with roaches that crawl on customers. Management suck sherry mcroy. Sherry mcroy is a very greedy manager that only cares about her family at huddle house in dillon. I was fired and was not told of my fired dude to I couldn't come in which I informed the manager sherry a day ahead. Not only that sherry is allowing her kids to work there with one I know is making more than any other employees except for assistant after he left and then came back thats not right. She is allowing her kids to take days away from other employees which is not fair. I also have work more than 40 hours but was told that I could not receive over time because they didn't have to pay. She allows her kids to eat whatever they chooses without pay. She also has sent her kids in without training to work when someone couldn't come in. Her kids are allowed to walk behind counter and prepare meals in street clothes along. Sister in law can work as she pleases no weekends. She allows her friend that works there to make her on schedule. Not only that I she has moved the waitress out and working the days and getting the tips among her self and son. Garrulity has been given and I feel I have been cheated. Manager is not allowed to work weekends along with kids not allowed to work any 3rd on weekends. Manager want rotate shifts not unless it benefits her and family. I feel as its not right and along with me the rest of the people at huddle house in dillon. Its not fair and there is nothing being done about the matter. Customers are talking as well and they don't think its right how we are being treated.

Is it any mystery that Huddle House is continually downsizing?
customer service
On feb 10 at around 12:45 am we arrived at restaurant. There was only one other person in there and they ordered take out. The girl takes our order and they were out of ham, butter, tea, and had a small cup of sugar absolutely ridiculous when they are right in front of a kroger grocery store. Anyway we put out order in and wait and wait and wait well about an hour and a half later I asked for my salad.. Lol yeah had to ask for it... This was my order.. Mozzarella sticks and a grilled chicken dinner plate.. With everything in hasbrowns and chilli... Well 2 hours later they bring my plate and the order was wrong.. Really 2 hours pass and its still wrong and they had 2 people on the grill... This is absolutely ridiculous for a huddle house which is considered a fast food place. And everyone else ordered waffles and eggs and bacon and grits and they waited this long as well. Needless to say I will never go back there, worst service I have ever had. Then to top it off they made me pay for the salad lol but thats fine will never go back..

horrible co-workers
A new young waitress was the only waitress there at 10:00 p.m., and the restaurant was swamped. She was still learning how to do everything, and some of the customers were beginning to get angry. The only cook was another young girl, whom had been there for quite some time. When she was finished cooking one meal, she would go outside to smoke and talk to her friends. She could have helped the new waitress out. I feel that this waitress should have picked up an ordering pad and taken some orders. The co-worker support at this restaurant is quite horrible.

they r selfish and only mind their own bussiness
I cant believe the response I got from the manager
I am in total disbelief at this point. Well we had a meeting last week and we were told that if we had second jobs we would have to make a decision on which job was most important to us, but listen to our contradicting manager. Since she has taken over the store we never have everything we need to complete our shifts. So I call her tonight and tell her we are almost out of the following items: bacon, and salads. And I also tell her we were not left any baked potatoes (which we serve alot of on our shift), no cheesecake, and no tomatoes. She replies I pulled a box of bacon this morning and it should have lasted all day (one box of bacon for three shifts... wow) we only had two sheets of bacon left and it wasnt even 7 o'clock yet. We did not have any potatoes and that is one of the main items we serve, we had no cheesecakes in the pie case and had 7 different people that requested cheesecake and we had to tell them we did not have them. just yesterday I had to give one customer back their money because we had no strawberries out to put on his desert. It really ticked me off when she said it was not her fault we did not have these items out because she asked the previous shift to write down what they needed, so she pulled what they wrote down. First of all, as a manager, you are supposed to do a thorough walk through and make sure each shift has enough to hold them till the next shift, and you are supposed to leave other items out so that we can preprep what is needed for the next shift (which is included on our duties list) — how can we do it if there is nothing left for us to do. What really took me over the edge was to here her say she was at her second job (when she just got finished telling us to choose in the meeting — biggest contradiction I have ever seen) and then she says if we run out then we tell them we are out of it until someone can get there to pull it (and no one ever came). how do they expect us to sell, and bring the sales up if we have the items in the store but not on the floor when they are needed. WE CAN'T. We have lost on on some good sales for the past two days because of this and that is not good for business. There is no reason we should have to tell our customers we are out of it if we have the items in the store. The other two waitresses and the cook was blown away just as I was. What's the purpose of having a manager if she can't make sure we have what we need and when she doesn't she blames it on the employees for her not doing her job. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH... WHEN IS SOMEONE GOING TO PUT A STOP TO THIS.. WHEN?
This is a response to a job I applied to please read from bottom to top, very unprofessional
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Christina Collins, and I am writing this email in reference to a response one of your hiring managers sent to me and I believe it to be belittling and unprofessional towards me and my accomplishments. His name is Glen Haisley and I thought you might want to know what type of person you have working for you and I’m pretty sure anyone managed under him would appreciate this email before they can learn what type of person he is. Attacking my character and professional accomplishments, I am appalled at his response in all capital letters as though he is yelling at me and laughing at my history. Please feel free to read the emails he sent to me in reference to a job opening in New Orleans East I will never set foot in a Huddle House or send anyone I know there, and I’ll be sure to inform everyone I know not to go there.
Thanks,
Christina Collins

It was right after Katrina and I had to take what I could get, new city and surroundings. I needed money to eat, and live. Again I am so appalled at you by this response, I made $7.00hr at Jack in The Box, and Hilton offered me $11.50hr which was more than I had ever made in my life, and Bank of America offered me 13.65, and I worked my way to the top eventually earning $17.31hr, and I was stable and planning on retiring at the company but to my surprise I was laid off because my job went to India that’s the country by the way. And so I said hay you love to cook went to school to learn restaurant management and being a chef because that’s what they teach you restaurant management and cooking. I’m pretty sure your managers you are trying to hire should know how to do both. So why don’t you just go back to work doing what is you love to do. So again you are to haste to judge and poor and your response.
Thanks,
Christina Collins FSP (FOOD SAFETY PROFESSIONAL)

Also. no stability…too many jobs in such a short period of time>>>>>
Glen Haisley,
Okay I except your apology and good luck with finding managers. I know the email included errors and I'm pretty sure you went to school so you should know that a reply in all capital letters means that you are yelling, and I was not concerned with the punctuation or spelling I was too insulted, and surprised at such a response. I have been managing since Jack in the Box up into Bank of America and I will be forwarding this email to your corporate office. And huddle house like I mentioned earlier is no five star restaurant, and the chef is not starting from the bottom that would be a janitor to some people. You should take a class on professionalism, and learn not to try and belittle and insult someone. It shows a lot about your character even if you are working on father’s day you should be able to handle stress in any situation given to you.
Thanks,
Christina Collins FSP (FOOD SAFETY MANAGER)

Well you responded to a manager’s ad. Starting at the bottom, as you said would be a cook….sorry for the caps, but I’m just tired and working on Father’s Day to prepare for our opening in three weeks. I have hired 80 people and if you’re the only one that’s not happy, I’m doing pretty good…please read where you started at “So excuse me” you went entirely too long (actually a paragraph) without any punctuation. That’s like 5 run on sentences…so when you say you went to school…please write as though you have. My managers are required to write reports and this is not acceptable
Glen,
Thanks for the reply so bold all capital letters very inviting I have trained at a culinary institute to become a chef i'm sorry for thinking that I could possibly run a 5 star restaurant after running and being head chef at the restaurant in my school which performed high production of orders, inventor, finances, etc. And hosting major events within the community. So excuse me for wanting to start at the bottom of the bottom to due what I actually went to school for I guess that dosent matter anymore and I would not want to be managed under someone who would reply so rudely to an email maybe thanks for considering Huddle house but we decided to go with some one whos expierence meets more closely with the job description take a lesson.

just plain tired of the way things are going
It is sad when you are just fed up with the ways things are going till you want to get fired. I have been with this business for more than 3 years and things just keep getting worse. It has gotten to the point where I just really dont care about being here because I sit back and see how others are treated different than some. I just feel so overwhelmed with stress till it is not funny. I will not quit though, they will have to fire me. If the store was ran by someone who treated all employess fairly then I would abide by all rules and work to my full potential just as I did 2 years ago. I literally get sick when I know I have to come to work. My time will be ending soon at this place and I cant wait, because the level of stress you get from being here is too much. I love my customers and the mojority of people I work with but I do not approve of the way it is ran so I refuse to bend over backwards when the rulrs are not enforced to everyone. The business itself is a very good business thar sells great food. How can you expect someone to do something that others just get away with, you can't. It is just too much for me at this time. I am just fed up with the nastiness, and when its left that way it is o.k. but with certain people we do not hear the end of it. Why chastise me about my nails but it is o.k. for your favorites to walk around with them. Why critize me about my shirt not being tucked in and others walk around and I dont here a word. just plain FED UP
I am doing just that brenda...believe i am. I am also a full time college student but i am still looking for other employment and i have already put in a few applications
lack of service
On October 2, 2010 at approximately 4:30 pm our family (4) plus (6) other people went to the restuarant for an
early dinner. We arrived at the restaurant all about the same time. There were other people there. however there were
three (3) people working. A grill cook and two (2) waitress, The waitress took a drink order, sort of, she brought part of it
then we were told there was no coffee, we would have to wait, then she came back and attempted to take our order.
Other people in the restuarant starting leaving, they were finished with there dinner. After 30 minutes, we still didn't
have all our drinks, the cook and the waitress were standing at the check out talking with a friend of theirs. Did not
ask the other girl if she needed any help, that we could see. So after 30 minutes there were no tickets handing up
waiting to be prepared... Our party of (10) left, and told the waitress that we would pay for the drinks that she
brought us but to forget the food order. However, if it took over 30 minutes at this time just to get drinks, the ETA on food
preparation was unknown at this time.
I understand what it like to wait on customers, I have been a waitress at Red Lobster and Cracker Barrell, which is
much more fast paced then Huddle House... I also work at Lowes and I know what customer service is all about.. I am
manager over customer service. If we where to treat customers the way your employees treated us and there lack of
concern we would not have a job. I enjoy being able to go to a restuarant and sit down with my family and friend
we don't ask for much, just good service and food. for the prices that are charged. We frequently this restuarant on
a weekly basis and the customer service gets worse instead of better.

I agree with you on that! The customer service does continue to get more horrible! It’s almost like you are imposing or something!? Like you are BOTHERING them by coming in-and don’t even THINK about trying to use or ask about any coupons, current deals, discounts or promotions! You’ll REALLY get the treatment then!
Try working for one. After 9 hrs straight on the grill (with no break) I had a heart attack. I was fired while recovering. I would love to see huddle house fold.
cleanlyness, lack of food, safety
I have been going to the Huddle House on Richland Ave.in Aiken for nine years, twice a day. This store needs to be cleaned up inside and out. The bathrooms are not kept cleaned, commodes are not working, floors are not being kept clean and the manager is never there on a regular basis. He is expecting one of is employees to order the food which is running out every week.in the mornings the resturant is so cold people have to wear coats to keep warm. I respectfully request the corporation check into this situation. This franchise is owned by Mr. Hall.
The parking lot looks like a cigarett dump the side walks are dirty. There is no need for a place to look like this.
PS. I do enjoy the food, service and friendship. Also some safety issues need to be addressed.

My Husband and I went for breakfast in Paragould, Ar, I ordered a waffle, when it got to me, it was cold, hard, the butter woundn't even melt, I asked for a fresh one, didn't think that was asking to much, they charged me for both, the cold waffle and the fresh one.I was very disapaointed. We got great service, and the workers was much cleaner, and the store itself was much cleaner.Since I wanted a freash waffle and didn't want it nuked, they chaged for that one to.Talk about bad bad business, wasn't my fault that the waffle wasn't done right in the first place, or it sat their to long before it was brought to me.I wont ever darken the doors of Huddle house agian, we even told them that, and they didn't seem to even care.Waht's up with that, thats ashame...
I would like to let you know that the Huddle House located on Lucas St. off of I-95 In Florence South Carolina has the most horrible customer service a group of 9 went to lunch there was only one cook & one server and at time other customer were in location but they had already been served and when she took our drink order it took her another 15 mins to take back and take our food order and then it took at least another 30-45 mins to get served and all of us did not even get our food before we had to go and when we tried to call mgr to complain he would not answer his phone if you are going to post it for customers to call why would you not answer and not only that the District Mgr was in the location her frist name is Cathy if you only have two people waiting on customer and a large group comes in why would you not jump in & help most people only have an hour for lunch.I called another Mgr to see you was DM and was told Cathy but she is saying that it was a party on 12 and that we were served in 26 mins that is a damm lie because she was not even in there when our food started coming and she also has told other mgr there was 2 servers that is another lie but some of us people who work at the large business down the street go there at least once a week but after this not anymore .I thinks some kind of action should be taken because this not the first time and it seems that this Cathy person lies and if she lies about the customers want kind of lies does she tell her boss or corp office to cover up problems because she aparentlly can not count since she said 12 and they are only 9 and she also can not tell time either because it diid take 30-45 mins to get start getting food that after we waited 15 mins to get orders taken and all of it still did not get served.
employee abuse
My wife recently quit work at this location due to verbal abuse and accusations of drug use, when an assistant manager singled her out and decided to talk to her like she was a dog, made her do other jobs in the building and not wait tables, while the manager waited the tables and took the tips. When my wife worked at another resturant the managers from...
