HGTV review: What about the kids?!

I watched Crashers episode 7 and the couple needed their unsafe deck replaced, a place to entertain and a safer play structure for their 2-year-old son. The reno basically catered to the parents' wants. It was a nice outdoor kitchen, with seating and a firepit, but for the child, they took down the old play structure which included a slide and swings and replaced it with a 4x4 little playhouse and a small area for him to play. The complaint I have is when redoing outdoor spaces for families that have kids, a lot of times the kids don't get good spaces.
