Credit card was given on the condition that first year no charges will be levied. Inspire of this Rs. bill was issued by bank for Rs. 540 for credit card account opening charges, after received the bill i wrote a letter to HDFC bank. Bank has assured that account opening charges will be reversed and same has been reversed in time. But penalty for non payment of credit card account opening charges have debited in my account and that amount was increased up to Rs. 2800. This is not justified. Bank cannot charged on those amount which is not payable by customer.
I had HDFC Credit Card some 2-3 years back. I cancelled the card as didn't need to pay the yearly charges that they had put on my card and i had another card free of annual charges... but HDFC Credit Card guys keep calling me and keep telling that i have some amount due to pay which is so ridiculous as never made any purchase... They keep adding yearly cards to the card that i cancelled and keep calling me... They are the most unprofessional bank i have ever had the misfortune to interact with...
The atm machines of hdfc bank at vashi railway station premises is not working from last ten days, as this is one of the busiest and prime location in new bombay and major it companies are in these area..
Inspite of complaining on the customer support no one is taking action against this complaint. We are facing lots of problem in withdrawing cash as this is the nearest atm in this area which is not working.

It is a little strange to see that hdfc website address exits. As per their manager, it does not. I had the misfortune to take a personal loan with hdfc, my first encounter and thankfully the last. I, noman syed had taken a personal loan with hdfc on may06 and have been thinking of repaying it from june 06,... Reason no customer service (Cant say bad cant term what was provided in name of customer service as service). On my first opportunity I took another loan from a better bank and called hdfc to close the loan and then life gave me the chance to get in touch with the worst, incompetent, unqualified, rude and in human service agents ever. So I thought maybe I should go to the branch and talk to a hdfc manager. I had more pain in store for me. I told I wanted to close the loan dated 12/02/2007 and had the money to do that and was given a closing amount letter, which was incorrect as it had not calculated my dues correctly... They showed osd (Out standing just in case the one who is reading this mail doesn’t understand banking like all hdfc employees) for a payment that I had made on september 06 which they claimed has mysteriously gone missing, it got credited to a different account, is hdfc still using ledgers and balance books??? Was informed that since it has got credited to a different account (This is after submitting more proof then charles sobhraj did in his murder trial) that it cant be credited to my account as hdfc doesn’t have the provision to credit it to the correct account (Books may have got burnt) and an approval (from may be prime minister of mars) will be needed to do that. Then I got the pleasure to met a specific calling himself human in hdfc called mihir shroff, claiming to a collections manager (If he is a manager I am shahruk khan). The manager shroff took 38 days to tell me nothing can be done, manager shroff informed me that he is giving me a waiver of rs.6689 (This is the emi that I had paid and have proof for) as if he is done a great act of kindness on me and manager shroff then told me that the mistake was all mine because the loan account number on the cheque was incorrect (Strange it was filled by the collections guy, did come to the wrong place or are their more noman syeds, I have heard that there are 7 people with the same face in the world at one given time, may be he got confused) and manager shroff then asked me that I will have to pay rs.4000 (Approx) more, for the 38 days as interest when he was getting to trunk call the prime minister in mars (For the approval) manager shroff also has to audacity to tell me that he cant do anything and to call customer service (if hdfc has ever heard anything that sounds like it) resolve any further issue, when I told him that if a manager cant help what will an agent do, said he cant do anything, not a surprise, then when I asked if there a website address where I can complain he said no it doesn’t exits, cool which training outsource do you guys in hdfc use. Then I (Good customer wrong bank) agreed to pay anything just to get rid of hdfc and manager shroff (Anyways we in islam believe in charity. This time to hdfc) please continue the good work hdfc, get more customers to play with and earn more, anyways hdfc slogan says “personal loans brings you one step closer to your nightmares”.
I recently got a shock 0f my life when the people i trusted for business turned their version, even now i see the discrepancies but they cannot justify the claim. I had taken a quote for a Car loan from HDFC representative who is a part of the showroom. (Dt 17 feb 2007)
I had been put a lot of pressure to log a file so that the interest rates for the loan shall be locked , hence i did it asap. On approval of the loan amount i received a sms of the loan account number and call stating that the loan account has been created. (23 feb 07)
Now comes the pressure for disbursement, I was not fully ready with the down payment hence told them to wait for some days, the reason i was being pressurized was to change in rate of interest and stamp duty & processing fee.
Disbursement instructions where given on 1 march and after 10 days when my car is ready with the registration number, the representatives call me up to say that i need to cough up with a additional Rs. 3400/- due to change in bank interest rate. Stamp duty n processing was promised to 1400 now the new rates are 2100.
When i contacted the bank, the rate of interest applied to me is 11.50% while the representative is demanding 14.75%.
Hope someone can help me with this kind of banking terminologies.
I have taken a personal loan from HDFC and filled an ECS mandate form after loan approval. But the bank representative who took all the forms and completed documents did not tell me about the ECS date.
In the month of repayment of first EMI, I suddenly received an SMS quoting that my first EMI through ECS was due on 7th day of that month. Please note that this date is not convenient for me as all my funds and salary transfer on 7th itself or by 10th day of the month.
Moreover, the ECS transaction is being held on different dates. Once it was held on 8th, once on 9th and other time on 7th day of the month. Due to this discrepancy I could not deposit money in my account and finally I was penalized by my bank (ICICI) with which I had my salary account.
When I contacted HDFC customer care, I was informed that this date could only be decided at the time of form filling when my loan was approved. So, the customer should have right to choose the appropriate date as per his/her convenience. But the banks are not giving that right/ information to the customers and making them fool like HDFC bank did to me.

I hold a salary account at Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Bangalore, India. I am working with Unisys Global Services-India, Purva Premier, 135/1, Residency Road, Bangalore-560 025 since Sep 2006 and my account no. is "[protected]" .
I had applied for a personal loan for Rs. 1,00,000.00 (One Lakh Only) in mid January 2007.It took HDFC more than a month's time to process my application and even on 20th Febraury'07 the status still remains uncleared.The excuse they gave me was that I had not provided them with enough details on my residential address in Bangalore and due this they had not been able to process my application. If the banking professionals are not able to locate a house in a posh locality like Indira Nagar in Bangalore (the address was the same as given on the Rental Agreement) and still they could not locate the house even after my giving them proper guidance to the route to my house. It is certainly not my mistake.
The best part is even after they had visited my house after I had to personally escort their representative on 17th February 2007. Even after their physical verification of my residential address at No.3,Appaiah Reddy Palaya,Double Road, Near ESI Hospital, IndiraNagar, Banagalore-560038 I again get a called 19th Feb'07 from HDFC Bank wherein another executive calls up saying he is from HDFC and is in Indiranagar and would like to visit my house for verification. This made me lose my temper and I replied stating that I am no longer interested in any loan from their Bank and they should stop bothering me, since it was probably their 25th call to me asking for verification.
Its really sad to know that a Bank like HDFC verifies so many details on a loan application for Rs One Lakh that they even went for physical verification at my Permanent address where my parents stay (Delhi: 20/67, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi-110003) and made lot of inquiries about me that they even asked questions like " How many rooms are their in the house". Believe me legally also till my parents sign any documents no company can compel my parents to make payments on my behalf (so the exercise was useless I think) . HDFC considers UNISYS Global Services-India a good company and since I had asked a loan for just One Lakh ( keep in mind that my Gross Pay Package at Unisys is 4.75 Lakhs and the monthly take home salary is around 36,000/- .) I do nopt see any reason why it took them more than one month and even than they had not approved my loan.
The had literally harassed me making calls to me, asking me to fill their application forms again and again. Giving verification calls. They even went to the extent of asking for my MBA certificate. (I have no clue what does a bank has to do with an applicant's educational certificates which only your employer needs).They had my salary slips of Unisys, my experience certificates, my appointment letters of places/companies I had worked at. It was really a painful ordeal for me dealing with HDFC for a small amount that it has made me so irritated that I finally decided to bring this process to an end by asking the Bank that I am no longer interested in their loan ( On 19th Feb'07).
Believe me it was the most painful experience I ever had with any bank.

It was my first mistake. Now I am suffering a lot. I want to complaint regarding the amount debited from my account in respect of credit card payment. which not due to my part. Have they right to debit the amount from the my own saving account of HDFC You pleas suggest and I will show all the documents how they are debiting this amount.
Without my notice how they get debited the amount from account. This is my grievance and the amount they have debited is itself wrong because card is free and they debited the renewal fee amount of the card.

I want to put my views and opinions about HDFC bank and my horrible experiences that one may doesn't want to go through. I have a very pathetic experience with HDFC two wheeler loans and the issue still remains unresolved by them. In November 2004, I had taken a two wheeler loan from HDFC bank which made me a proud owner of my bike. I have been a loyal customer to them and have never defaulted in any of my payments and have never done it in my life. We all know how important our credit history is to us.
My loan account number is 879160 and my name is Mr. Kuchi Venkata Subbarao. I do not stay in India currently and so may not be able to take timely appropriate action against these crooks. I have my parents staying in India who have to go through the harassment made by the bankers. As we know that two wheeler loans are only given if we provide post dated cheques of the amount required to be given to the bank. All my installments have gone through smoothly except for one in the month of May 2005. The reason for the same not going through was due to signature mismatch.
To the best of my knowledge I have only one signature which I make wherever required. However, the very next month there was a phone call made to my place and asking to make an alternate payment with late fees. Since I was not there that time, my parents had to make cash payment to the person appointed by HDFC for collection. Nevertheless, after making payment a receipt was handed over to my parents saying that the payment was then cleared. Till today I was living in complete peace and the loan was closed and the last installment got debited in the month of October 2006.
All of a sudden today my parents receive a letter dated 18 November 2006, using the extreme harsh language and threaten to have the bike confiscated and auctioned to recover the amount due from me at my cost. After having a word with the customer service (harassment) executive, I realized that the letter was in respect of the installment not received by them in May 2005 and I should be really glad to the bank for their early response for which i have already made an alternate payment. Surprisingly the letter also used words like "instead of repeated reminders i failed to make the payment" where as there was no single correspondence sent to me at my address. I was promised a reply within 3 days by the executive but there is no reply till date even after 5 days.
Following is a list of my concerns and will be very grateful if you can take it forward to the person responsible for the blunder.
a) Why don’t they have complete details in their systems if the payment was collected by their own representative?
b) If it was to do with an installment of May 2005, were they sleeping till now?
c) If they had a system saying that the payment was not made for that month, why was there no correspondence sent or phone call made to me till now about this?
d) Why did the letter use words like "instead of repeated reminders" when there was no single letter sent or a phone call made to me.
e) While talking to the customer service rep. I was asked if you have the receipt??? I said I had the receipt but never expected you to come back so late asking me for it. Am I wrong if ask you to produce the receipt of your class tenth examination fees? Can I expect it to be preserved for me?
I do not expect my parents to go through any inconvenience just because i am not there to handle the situation especially when we have cleared all our dues and have no liabilities on us.
