Great Clips Hair cut

On Sept 2, 2021 I went to the Great Clips Greenway and Cotton in Surprise AZ.
I brought in a picture of how I wanted my hair to be cut. Alanea said yes she could duplicate the cut. She should be working in a butcher shop not a hair salon. She chopper my hair one side is much shorter than the other the top was left to long. I asked her to put some product in and blow it to make sure it would spike she did for a moment. If I were the manager I would fire her or only let her work on men's hair.
I spoke to the manager Natasha and she advised me to send in this email. I feel great clips owes me another hair cut on the house with a competent hair dresser.

The Coroco Great Clips in Topeka actually deleted my kids names today, while for over two years we are required to behind all that have checked in online. The supervisor with black and teal hair was rude over the top and acted mentally unstable from the time we arrived until we were done. The salon women knew she was unprofessional and not "ok". Great Clips Haircut

My usual great clips was closed so I went to another great clips in the area. The haircut was going so bad I had to tell the hairstylist to stop, stop.the another hairstylist in the next bay look over when I said. I paid and left. I guess not all great clips are the same.

Great Clips Lady at the kendallville great clips skipped people to provide a haircut to somebody else that came after

The lady at the kendallville great clips skipped 4 customers to provide a haircut for a person that came in after those 4 people.. this is unacceptable and further pisses the people off that have waited their turn . If this continues neither me nor anyone I associate with will continue to go to this establishment. It is an embarrassment to loyal customers who have come here for years .

On July 21st or 22nd, I went to Great Clips in Falmourh, Maine to get a trim. I had been there three times prior and the stylist (Dane) had done a fantastic job. Great Clips Billing for a hair cut

This is the second time filing this complaint because I did not receive a response.
At Great Clips in Fort Lauderdale I realized I left my coupon and prepayment card in the car. I told the Great Clip's employee I was running out to my car to get them. I mentioned this to her twice so it was clear what I was doing. I gave her $20 so she knew I was not running off without paying and again told her I would be right back. When I returned a five minutes later, she already cashed me out for $16.00. I asked her to refund the charge and either take the coupon or prepayment card and she refused. I walked out of there in disbelief.

Desired outcome: Refund the difference between $16 and $7.99 (coupon amount). See pictures below. I made an appointment inline.

Great Clips Hair cut

I had hair cut, by Ashly, on 6/9/21. The cut was very uneven, as much as a inch different, longer on right side, including longer on side not just bottom. I have taken hair cuts to illustrate this. In addition I asked that top layer, on right side be cut so it just came over my eyebrow, but this section is at least a inch longer. I inquired as to why my hair was not spritzed with water, as every other salon I have been to for a dry haircut, has done this. The stylist challenged this.

see info above regarding my complaint. Haircut on 6/9/21. One side at least 1 inch shorter than the other. One side seems thinned out, but not the other. Hair was not spritzed with water prior to stylist cutting it. This was highly irregular based on having gotten my hair cut for decades. Also, the top part of my hair was to be cut so it fell just over my right eye brow. It is more than a inch longer than I asked for.

around 9am punta gorda, ask for a hair cut, , , my hair is short, , , , , my dresser did not ask if i needed a wash, , , did not ask me what i wanted done, when she got started i told her in detail, , , she worked 4 min.on my hair, i ask if this is all, , , , no blow dry, , , just water spray, , i said it looks crooked, , , she said, its streight, i couldnt see what she done in back[ i didnt have a mirror] or front til i got home...i ask for a long spike, , , i had told her the last lady used a razor and also cut it in diff.lengths, , she sais, , she uses long scissore, i dont, 4 minutes and 15.00 wasted, i wont leave her name i guess she wasnt trained, but this girl got trained today.im not asking for anything, , , but this girl needs to take her job more serious, , ,

Great Clips covid-shot

Althro we should not shune anyone from getting a covid shot. I feel all stylist at great clips should consider getting their shot.
My stylist told me she is not getting the shot. My question is to the CEO if these stylist do not get the shot, risk their position at great clips.
A notice could be sent to all salons and proof with their card to remained employed. I felt very uneasy getting my hair cut.
Especially her answer to the excuse of why she was not intending on getting a shot. Perhaps she should not belong at great clips.
I had both my shots and now a low risk, but I do not want to even contract covid at a low risk. Please take action soon.

No one should be told they have to get a shot regardless. If you want and got one then hooray for you but don't expect others to get an experimental shot in the arm. I certainly won't be getting one just to make people like you happy.

Great Clips haircut

I received a haircut on 5/20/2021. I could not find my prepaid card in my pursed and realized I left it in my car. I did not want the employee to think I was running out on her and so I gave her $20.00 explaining that I was going to get the Great Clips card and that is how I wanted to pay for the service. When I returned a couple minutes later (after running to my car and back), the employee said she already charged me $16.00 for the hair cut and did not want to wait until I returned. I was upset because I also had the $7.99/$9.99 coupon as back up and she charged me double. Her response was "too late, you can use your card next time." I could not believe she treated a customer like this?

Desired outcome: Refund of $8.00 which is the difference between $16 and $7.99. I made the reservation online.

Great Clips Customer service

5.14.21 @ 10am. Store-Better Living Center on Union in Colorado Springs.
I called the Great Clips on 5.13.21 to find out what time my favorite Stylist Pia, would be working on Friday. I was told Pia would be at work from 10-7 on Friday. I checked in on line about 9:55. When I got to the Great Clips. A rude lady came out side and asked if I checked in on line. I told her yes and I will wait for Pia. The lady, who I later found out was Raine, said very rudely. "She won't be in until noon or maybe 11, I can give you a better haircut then Pia. Come on in." I said "I will come back when Pia is in." I hurt my back and wasn't able to take my meds as I shouldn't be driving. I left and stayed at home. I call on Saturday and was told Pia will be at work on Sunday 9-5.
I called on Sunday to make sure Pia was working, she was. When I got to the Salon, I asked Pia what was the name of that lady. She said Raine.
I have been going to Pia for the last 3 years. She does what I ask her to do, even if she gives me other suggestion. My visit on 3.5.21 with Pia, I changed up my hair style.
I was taken back by how rude Raine was to me, in a short 2 mins. I feel she shouldn't be in customer service and at the very least NOT try to take a customer from the person they like. I will give Pia 5 stars (a million if I could) and I give Raine zero stars.

I took my mother to the Great Clips in the Tannasborne center, Hillsboro, Oregon. My mother uses a walker, and I was startled to find there was only one handicapped parking place at this location. Needless to say, this one handicapped parking spot was taken, and I did not see a handicapped placard in the car window. This particular Great Clips is next door to a cookie store, with TWO parking spots for the customers wanting to run in and out to buy cookies. My mother and I parked, and then discovered there was no handicap ramp near the front of the stores. The staff at this Great Clips location was first rate, I have no complaints about the wait time, or the services delivered. I would visit again with my mother, but the parking situation is impossible.

Great Clips hair cut and check in

I have been going there for years. I told the hair cutter that the profile of my haircuts was wrong. It said that I wanted one inch cut off. I have always said that I wanted one half inch or less taken off. I told this hair cutter that the last cutter did the very same thing the last time I had came for a cut. She ignored this and cut it one inch or more then, as well. In this case, after explaining all this, the cutter ignored everthing I had told him, ( the way I wanted it cut). I specifically told him I wanted a light trim, with my hair covering my ears, and my hair on my neck rounded off. My hair is too short to do any of this. Since this company does not seem to care how the customer wants his hair cut, only to do what they want, I will not be going back to this establishment. Also, people who check in online, go ahead of the people who have been waiting for quite awhile. I know that this has been your practice for several years now, but to the people who have been regulars for years, it seems extremely unfair. I am one of those people who think that it is unfair for to the regular customers who have to wait even longer, because of the people who dont mind going in front of the people who have been waiting, and have been regular customers for years, like me.

Great Clips Employee "Greg"

I went to the GC in Redmond, Oregon today and left very unhappy. "Greg" was to trim my layered hair ONE inch. I told him to clean up the ends. He cut at least two inches off and I told him at the time I think he's cutting off way more than an inch. He totally ignored that.

He also ruined my bangs by making them so ridiculously short, that I dread going back to work in two days. They are hard to cut because of the wave in them so he suggested going around my face and I said no. He actually started to do that anyway and I had to say a firm NO again! After he cut my bangs off straight across and I asked him if he was goind to texture them. I couldn't believe he didn't. By then there was nothing left to work with. He response was, "They'll grow!"

He was very rough while he cut my hair and I told him so at the time. He'd grab a large chunk of hair and pull it hard straight up and it hurt! He kept doing this! His response when I mentioned it to him was, "I've never been gentle!" Followed by a chuckle.

All in all, this man needs more experience and a lot better listening skills. Between his super heavy mouth breathing and his being all over the place because he refuses to raise the chair up (and down) he is extremely obnoxious. Ugh!

Great Clips Horrific customer service and management

As a senior citizen, I had the absolute worst customer experience in my life today at the Great Clips in the Tollgate Marketplace, Bel Air MD 21014. I am still in shock at the way I was treated at this business. The management of this business is unprofessional, rude, and has no customer service skills or ability to communicate with the public, especially a Senior Citizen like me .

I have been going to this Great Clips for over five years and have always been treated well by the staff. I have been in many times over the past year with the COVID19 restrictions. Several times I have used the app to check in, but it didn't make any difference as they salon was never full. If I walked in, the staff was courteous and gave me a reasonable wait time (10-15 minutes) and offered to text me when I should come back. I was never told that people that checked in with the app had priority over me when I walked in.

I tried using the app today at abut 12:00, but it was not working. I had about an hour between 12:45 and 1:45 to get a haircut, so I called the business. I can't refer to it as a "Salon", because that definition means a professional establishment, something this place is not. The person answering the phone told me that they could not do anything for me over the phone, I had to use the app to make an appointment. When I told them the app was not working, they said they could just suggest I reload it. I was driving between appointments and could not stop to play with my phone. I told them I would be in a 1:00 pm, and I knew the stylist I would like to cut my hair would be working then. They told me that unless I checked in with the app, they could not guarantee me that the stylist I wanted could cut my hair. They then hung up on me.

I went in at 1:00 pm., and a stylist came over and asked me my name and was looking at the computer. I told her I did not check in with the app. She told me that they only took appointments and I had to check in with the app. I have a hearing issue, and sometimes I talk loudly because I can't hear my volume and it also encourages others to speak so I can hear. I told the stylist that I felt that was very discriminatory, because I couldn't get a haircut because I didn't use the app? I asked her who was in charge at Great Clips so I could elevate my complaint. She said it was the law that anyone coming in had to have an appointment. She said to talk to the person in charge. I asked who that was, and she didn't know, she just said - you know the guy who is the Governor or whatever. I told her I didn't think that Governor Hogan had control over the Great Clip app and I was just saying it was discriminatory telling me that unless I owned a smart phone and used the Great Clip App that I could not get a hair cut there. I asked her if she could please get the manager and provide me the name of the corporate contacts so I could elevate my frustration.

I waited for over five minutes for the manager to come up. The manager told me that I could get an appointment, but I would have to wait at least 45 minutes to an hour as they were taking the scheduled app appointments first. I have to state that when I went in to the Salon, two stylists had customers and one person was waiting. I again told the manager that I felt this was discriminatory against me for not using the app for the appointment. I understood I would need to wait, but I thought the time was excessive. I asked the manager who her boss was. I told her that I recognized her voice as the person on the phone I spoke with at noon and that had hung up on me.

She then told me that she was the boss and there was no one else above her. That if I didn't like her answer than I didn't belong in that salon and I needed to go somewhere else to get my hair cut. I was not welcome in her business. She said if I wanted to complain to go on the web and look up the information, but that she was throwing me out. I asked her name and she would only tell me it was Stephanie, that I didn't need to know her last name.

I told her that the person that I wanted to cut my hair was in, and that I had been going there for years. She told me that if I been going there, then I should know how they operate and that I had no business upsetting her staff by yelling. She wouldn't let me explain my hearing issues. She was yelling at me and telling me to leave. I told her to call the police.

I sat and waited for almost 45 minutes, during which time she remained outside of the business. I also called the police to make sure that I would be protected. During this time, one stylist had one customer and one stylist sat with no one.

I am a working professional, and had other obligations that day and after waiting 45 minutes for the police I left. As I was leaving, the police pulled up and I stopped to talk with them. I was very cooperative and told them what had happened and my concern about others that did not have access to technology and would be treated like I was. We have wonderful law enforcement and they apologetically explained the manager's rights and that she had insisted on them presenting me with a Banning Letter to that business.

While I'm sure it must have made her feel good to have a Banning Letter from her business, it was a total waste of time because I will never go in there again, nor will any of my family or friends. Having a Banning Letter is a badge of honor for me at my age, something I've never had before!

Is this the type of management training you give to your franchises? I have never been threatened or banned because I raised a concern to a business. My complaint is very real and should be addressed by your company. Just because someone doesn't use your app or a smart phone, they should never be told they can't get an appointment at your franchises. Taking priority of those that do use the app over those that walk in to wait is also discriminatory. Why would I have to wait 45 minutes to an hour to get a hair cut when there was dead time while I was there? Why was my inability to hear and that I speak loudly a cause for this individual to yell at me or refuse my business?

As someone that has taught customer training and been in customer business relations for a career, the manager at this business needs to be removed. I have never seen anyone in a position of management act or talk to a customer the way she talked to me. She did not care to listen to my concerns about the app or even explain how she could justify telling me I would have to wait 45 minutes to an hour when there was no one waiting and a stylist with an empty chair. She was more interested in yelling at me and demanding that I leave because I questioned her about her policies and practices. At no time did she apologize or offer any alternative for me, other than to throw me out.

I look forward to hearing from someone in your corporate office to further discuss this issue and to hear about what measures Great Clips does to manage this type of severe breach of customer satisfaction and relations.

The actual owner of this franchise has contacted me and sincerely apologized for his staff's behavior and actions. The business now posts the 800 number that Great Clips provides for customers without smart phones so they can schedule appointments The staff are all aware of this service as well. All issues have been resolved.

Very happy to report that the actual owner of this Great Clips Franchise contacted me to resolve this issue. He sincerely apologized for the actions of his staff.

To insure that others that do not have access to smart phones are able to make appointments, the 1-800 number that Great Clips manages for on-call appointments is posted in their busines and all personnel are aware of it.
