I went to European Wax Center (EWC) in January for a wax and signed up for their wax pass which is 12 waxes for the price of 9 and your credit card get billed automatically. It was a good deal so I signed up. The first payment they deducted was on 01/16 for $228.75. The second payment was on 02/21 for $***. The third payment was on 03/16 for ***. Every time I went in I saw the same technician. The first time she couldn't get all of my hair out when she waxed me and she said it was because the hair was growing in at different lengths but the next time I came it she would be able to wax me throughly. The second time when I came in she didn't wax all of my hair again and again blamed uneven hair growth even though I hadn't shaved in 3 months and it was just her waxing. She told me to trust her and that the next time it would all come out. So the third time I went in she again did not wax all of my hair. However this time she blamed me and told me that it was my body and I was just going to have to live with it. I was appalled! That is her job and it is what I was paying her to do. I left that day and they Covid hit and everything closed. I tried to call to speak to the owner but the phone just rang and rang. I called every couple of weeks through *** , and June. I finally emailed their corporate office in *** and they got back to me a few weeks later saying someone from that branch would reach out. Eventually someone did, but even after hearing what their technician did, she blamed me for not calling! I told I did and they don't have a machine (she acknowledged that they don't) and the technician doesn't work there anymore but she refused to give me a refund. She gave me back the tip that I paid, but they charge $59 for that wax and I had 3, so at most I should have paid $179 and instead they have charged me $494.25. That's a difference of $315.25! I don't believe that I should be charged a dime since they never did the job to completion!
