I put down $100 on 12/6 for a 3 month appointment on 3/3. I tried calling the salon at *** on Saturday 2/27 to cancel, but couldn't reach anyone. I left a bunch of messages, but they never called back. I found the assistant's number and texted her to explain that I've been trying to cancel since Saturday. She told me I had to cancel 72 hours before the appointment, but they never told me that before. I told her about the messages I left and how I just found her number that day. She said because of COVID, there's no receptionist and changes or cancellations have to be done the same way as booking. They didn't tell me that either. She said I could reschedule so I don't lose my deposit, so I sent 2 texts on 3/5 and 4/23 to schedule, but got no response.

On January 19th, I had an appointment at Dream Girls Hair Import & Salon to dye the front of my hair (including my bangs) dark blue and touch up my roots. The stylist, ***, who was working on my hair at the time, advised me against the dark blue color. She said I would have to bleach my hair to a platinum blonde shade. I decided to follow her advice because I didn't want to bleach my hair again. It had already been bleached twice during my previous appointment.

To my surprise, what I thought was dye turned out to be bleach when I saw it right before she washed it out. I didn't say anything at the time because I was shocked. I mean, what could she do? Unbleach my hair? So I thought it would be best to just let it go and I left with the red color.

The following week, I noticed a big chunk of my hair had broken off. I called the salon and explained the situation. I told them how my hair was bleached again when I didn't want that, and all I needed was for it to be fixed. They offered to wash my hair without charging me, but whenever I tried to explain the extent of the damage, it seemed like they didn't really listen or understand.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at Dream Girls Hair Import & Salon. The stylist's advice led to my hair being bleached again, which caused significant damage. While they did try to fix it by offering a free wash, it felt like they didn't fully grasp the severity of the situation. I expected better communication and understanding from a professional salon.

The following week, I noticed a significant chunk of my hair had broken off. I called the salon to explain the situation and how my hair had been bleached again against my wishes, causing the breakage. They offered to wash my hair without charging me, but whenever I tried to explain the issue, they blamed me instead of acknowledging that my hair had been bleached without my consent.

Recently, I noticed that the broken chunk of hair was even larger, so I called the salon again to calmly request a refund for the color service only, not the entire weave service, since it was the unwanted bleach that caused the breakage. I called about 20 times and also sent text messages to ***, but I received no response. Frustrated, I decided to drive down to the salon in hopes of speaking to them in person. Finally, they answered my call and acknowledged that they had seen my previous calls but couldn't answer for some reason.

The customer service I experienced during that phone call was absolutely ridiculous. The lead stylist, ***, and her assistant, ***, were incredibly disrespectful and didn't have a proper conversation with me. They eventually had me speak to the salon manager, whose name I believe is ***. I explained the situation to her, but it seemed like she didn't listen to a word I said and continued to blame me.
