Yesterday afternoon I went into goodwill on Hwy 6 at W. Airport.

The cashier was trying to be all slick whispering on her phone with her mask over her face, so she was OBVIOUSLY not giving the customers 100% and I think this is where the failure started. She was too occupied talking to someone else to help me properly

I bought 3 items. 2 long sleeve sweaters 50% off, so $3 each. The third item was a tray that had a tag of $0.99. When she told me my total was $13, I told her it didn't sound right, that the clothes were half off and the tray was a dollar. Well, my card accidentally tapped the machine and the sell went through. I said oh well, I'll just check the prices when I get the receipt and we can fix it after. (long line behind me). Well, she had rung the tray up at $3.99.

Apparently the tray had 2 stickers and I saw the $. 99 sticker.

I hadn't even left the store when I asked BOTH managers to make it right. I didn't want that tray at $3.99..

The manager basically said I was SOL bc they don't give refunds or credit for non CLOTHING Items.

So the manager took my tray, peeled off the $99 sticker and handed me back the $3.99. I assume so that I had no proof there was actually a second tag. Also keep in mind, GW uses sharpie to write Roman numbers above $2 on the bottom of their items. This tray had ZERO writing.

Desired outcome: I want a refund and they can have the try back. I would like your refund policy to have flexibility for cases such as theseI would also like for prices to be displayed as they are being rung up

Goodwill Industries Employee claimed that item I was trying to purchase was supposed to have a different price on it and refused to sell it to me

On 10/23 in Seneca, SC Goodwill store I tried to purchase a garden sprayer. The price tag on it was $2.99. When I took it and tried to pay, the employee claimed it was the incorrect price and that the correct price was $6.99. Why it would have been $6.99 I don't know as the handle on it was broken. I was going to use it to spray bleach so I figured I would throw it away when finished. Brand New one costs 8.99 in Lowe's. So he refused to sell it to me for the price of the sticker. I felt like he had something personal against me because why would he claim the price was double what the sticker said. Unbelievable.

Desired outcome: I don't know what I want. An apology I guess and to speak to the employee about his behavior.

Goodwill Industries Prices

What the is happening with your stores here in Florida, the prices are out of hand, who in their right minds would pay those prices for used clothes and shoes. Come on you guys this is second hand store, is not a new clothes store you can find better prices at Walmart a new clothes store. . Prices used to be great and i was a regular, now i cant shop there any longer way too high.

Goodwill Industries being treated unfairly

so im an imperfect person. Wow, imagine that for a second, that just because of my past im unable to get services. ive been told,bty staff here that im unable tyo get standardhelp when others are getting the help i requested, after ive been told no! trhe people here are selective and play on favortism. thezse ppl at goodwill jobsource on w. 11th NEED to get looked at! they are low down and very unhel[pful if you have issues. i mean, thats why were here right? please kindly look intop this matter and address it accordingly

Goodwill Industries Rude Manager

Oct 17,2022 Today I visited the Goodwill store on 20th street in Houston. Unfortunately I left feeling embarrassed and humiliated. Two cashiers only, one being a manager who would not permit me paying for my purchase in cash. The cash cashier was checking a lady with a full basket of items and deciding if she wanted the item as she placed it on the counter. The manager checked out 4 people who were behind me in line. Security then asked for me to move aside 6 Feet like a piece of trash. The manager did not come to my aid, stood there with a deer in the headlight expression on her face. Left the store humiliated and embarrassed

Goodwill Industries Store manager

A friend and I were near the area where the shopping carts are kept, transferring items that we were going to buy, from a cart with a broken wheel to one that was in working order. The store manager approached us and said " This isn't the place to do whatever you're doing. People need to get to the carts. Move !

For the record: no customers were trying to get a cart and even if there were we were not blocking anyone's access to the carts.

I waited until that manager wasn't near any customers and told him he should be mo

re courteous when talking to people. He then raised his voice and told me to leave and not come back to "his" store.

I am a daily customer of that Quincy,Ma. store and have witnessed that manager speak to customers as well as staff in the same rude manner. Three people, in the past 2 weeks,have quit their jobs there because of the way he spoke to and treated them.

That manager really does need an education in customer relations and if he doesn't change he should no longer be able to retain his job.

Desired outcome: For the Quincy, Ma store manager to be demoted until he completes a course on customer and employee relations as well as overall communication skills.

I applied for a job through the Goodwill website. and was contacted through email by Kam with there recruiting team in regards to my application. upon several email exchanges I was set up to have an interview on Wednesday October 13th 2022 at 6:30 p.m. with Lonnie. I arrived at Broadway and Oxford for my interview to be told that he had left by 3:00 p.m.

Goodwill Industries purchase of an electronic

purchase a gvg vcr combo from goodwill suncoast inc in oxford florida prior to purchasing the unit i ask about if it doesnt work they said 24 hours and store credit. my wife went up there 2 hours after the fact it destroyed a vhs and was told to bring back today or tomorrow so with the recipt she returned item and was told only used donation only not unopen stuff even though it was all donated. so i have spent more in fuel to purchase and return item i have contacted the attorney general in my state and google review and left message for president of goodwill suncoast inc and my credit card company for instructing employees not to honor the return policy i was told and written on reicpt i purchase

Goodwill Industries Employees

I am FURIOUS at my local Goodwill store employees! I was sexually harassed by an assistant manager while shopping on several occasions. The more I refused his advances the worse his attitude got towards me. Yesterday I was checking out at the register and the same man told me he was going to search me and my purse before I left! He's abusing his power!

Desired outcome: I would like to be able to shop without being harassed! He has told employees there under him that I need to be watched! This is all because I wouldn't allow him to touch me when I came in and wouldn't call him.

Goodwill Industries Against the way I was treated by brian asst manager of castle rock goodwill he is a horrible person

I was in the castle rock goodwill today and wasc having such a great time in there today a associate older female helped me and grabbed a guy from the back to help me plug it in to see if it worked and I wanted it the problem is I had to wait at 430 for my boyfriend to get home from work tio ask him if he could pitch in on money for this stero unit for 39.99 the kid said no problem and I gave him my name and he said they close at 8pm I called at 615 pm told the kid that answered his name was jesus that iwas coming down to pick that item up to have it up front for when I get there he said no problem drove 15 minutes to get there for him to tell me that his manager said they dont hold things for people I told the kid get the manager this brian comes up acting like he is the director of the goodwill I told him the story he said even if its back there I cant sell it to you I said I came all the way down here and he very maliciously said thats not my problem I was in that store today for a full hour shopping if they coulndnt of found me to tell me this today I would of just bought then but what I think what is going is somebody new its probably worth money and wanted it for themselves everyone was friendly theroughout the store today and so was associt

Goodwill Industries Goodwill music played in store

I would like to file a formal complaint with Goodwill. I have been a customer with Goodwill for 30 years. I visit multiple stores several times a week. I sent an email last week regarding a song being played over the speaker in your stores. The song is Love Again by Dua Lupa and is VERY offensive with the Lord's Name in Vane. As a Christian I am very upset over this and spoke with the store and was told there have been several complaints and nothing is being done! Please remove this song from your playlist immediately. I would like a response to this email and will continue to reach out until this issue is resolved. I can be reached at [edited]

Goodwill Industries Goodwill needs to adopt honest business practices

Many of the Goodwill Stores on their online shopping site overcharge on shipping. For example, the store located in Pasco, WA has many such items where the shipping is vastly inflated. One item I was interested in was said to weigh just under 4 lbs, but the total shipping weight was said to be 42 lbs, making the shipping cost well over $50.

When I reached out to the store to see if this was a mistake on the listing, they made it clear that it was not. As an eBay seller, I'm well aware of what it costs to ship things, and this is clearly a scam, unless they're using a 38 lb box to ship a 4 lb item, which is doubtful.

It seems this is a very common practice on their website. I would suggest that buyers be cautious of such scams and always check the shipping before bidding.

Desired outcome: and allow customers to leave reviews and ratings of the stores they purchase from on the website.

Goodwill Industries Goodwill bourbonnais IL

I was in the Goodwill Saturday 9-24-22, and I bought one of your pumpkin bags so I would have something to put my merchandise in, the manager in front of everyone in the store yelled at me and accused me of stealing the bag and accused me of going behind the counter & grabbing it behind the register, I did none of these things, I paid for the bag. The bag was over by the books and not behind the counter. Everyone was staring at me and she humilated me in front of the customers like I was a thief over a bag that was 99 cents, and I paid for. The lady at the cashier even told her I paid for the bag.. This manager needs to be demoted or fired. I am a good customer of the goodwill industry, but it makes me not want to ever shop there again. It happened in your Bourbonnais Ill GoodWill. Thank you. Janice Martin

Desired outcome: That manager needs to be inserviced demoted or maybe even fired, I think power has went to head. A few employees said she treats them the same way, always yelling at them.

Goodwill Industries This company is a joke even a department store tries to make the customer happy

So I picked up a pair of boots with a tag might I say. When I got to the register they tell me wrong tag. So most of their boots on the shelves are 9.99 and I say can't I just pay the reg price like the rest of the boots on the shelves bc the more exspinsive ones they keep up at the front. No instead of making the customer happy and might I say I spend thousands of dollars in the goodwill. They snatch them up and are rude and sat 24 hrs. So me the customer that spends thousands in this store in a year gets punished bc some other idiot changes the tags on them and y'all lost a sale not that y'all care y'all are rich anyways. So I'm gonna go public with this and see why the goodwill a charity store careless about the customer and cares more about getting the right amount of money for their product that was donated to begin with. Even a high end store would have made sure the customer was happy this place is a joke and I will not longer shop here and I will make it my priority to let people know how selfish this place is. People should know that your not worried about the customers only the dollar amount and if you all get shorted and I got the [censored] end of some others fools doings and they prob won't even be here when I come back in 24 hrs this place is a joke foreal and I'm about to make some videos on this and see what others think of being punished bc if someone el

Goodwill Industries Product pricing

With prices going up everywhere, Goodwill should be the last place you would find prices going up. I found a lamp yesterday that was 50.00 ? Really? This is ridiculous and should be stopped. This is people's safe place to go and find things for their families that they need. THIS IS NOT STEINMART!

You people get things donated to you free and you are gouging prices to make more for your top dogs there. I have been shopping at the Southaven store for over 26yrs and now this is happening. And there is also no manager at this store. Get your crap together! Price gouging is not attractive and everyone is talking about this there in Southaven. Do something about it. If you are in the business to help people, then help people. If we wanted to shop at Steinmart, or Amazon, we would!

The manager of the store is very aware that the disinfecting agent dispenser has been empty for 3 weeks, Please for our safety this is such a good service to provide to your customers to refill when it is empty. Especially us elderly.

Goodwill Industries Prices!!

Mason Michigan new Goodwill. Prices are outrageous. More than willing to send pics. So much merchandise, overpriced, that it’s not selling. Prices have tripled since this spring and in some cases more. Faux plants from “new good” 29.99. Clearance at reg stores are cheaper than this Location.

Coats 19.99. If anything is a “brand” named, it is priced triple. Even dollar store products are triple the price: 3.29. This is no longer “Goodwill”. Constant change of Management. Constant change of employees. What’s going on?

Desired outcome: Visit from Corporate. Follow up email about complaint. More cohesive prices through ALL Goodwills. No over prices due to “name brand”.

I am very disapointed in the Goodwill stores in my area. The items in the store is donated free. It has become a greedy business where the top executives are the ones making a killing from this FREE merchandise. The public has always relied on Goodwill to be able to find reasonably priced items for the home and their clothing. They are charging near the same as retail stores for used, FREE items. In the future I will not donate my items to Goodwill. My things will go to non-profits and thrift stores that benifit the community.

Goodwill Industries Online purchasing

Do NOT EVER buy shoes from the www.ShopGoodWill.com website! The shoes they list are falling apart. Soles are separated, coming off or in very very poor condition. Once they get your money & have proof of delivery you will NEVER get a refund. Everything they list is broad and vague. Deceptive pics are taken so that you can't see the TRUE detail on condition of the shoes. Their listing description for the shoes say nothing about the terrible condition the shoes are in. People need to know exactly what it is they are buying! Scammers! Just remember: The LORD sees everything! #NeverAgain

The listing for the shoes purchased was broad and vague. Deceptive pics were taken so that you can't see the true detail on the condition of the shoes. The listing description for the shoes say nothing about the terrible condition the shoes are in. People need to know exactly what it is they're buying! Please do right by me and refund my money. The shoes are unwearable and unrepairable.

Goodwill Industries Janet at Goodwill Venice on Tamiami Trail Jewelry Counter- Hateful and RUDE

Dear Manager:

Good afternoon.

I no longer want to shop in your Goodwill Venice FL store. I do not feel welcome and it is a very negative shopping experience. I dread seeing Janet at the jewelry counter. She complains about having to go to the counter to assist and huffs and puffs and gets upset when I ask for several items. She is hateful and directly rude to you and even goes as far as yelling at customers. I feel sorry for her but I am no longer to tolerate her hatefulness. I drive from Tampa to venice several times a month but I am thinking its no longer worth the trip to be treated this poorly. I never have seen anyone talk to customers like she does. She is the RUDEST person that I have ever met and that says alot because I work with patients with mental health conditions and I can promise you that she has one. This lady needs locked up and away from people. Absolutely no customer service skills. No people skills. Can't be nice if she tries.

Desired outcome: Please provide this employee with some training in customer service skills. She is too overwhelmed dealing with people and too overwhelmed at the jewelry counter.

Goodwill Industries bidding process

i put in a bid of $15.01on a 4 cd set of alice cooper i.d. [protected]. starting bid of $12.99. my bid was put in at 0 bids. i lost this auction because someone was allowed to hide their bid until the end of the auction. what does that mean and how is that fair? please explain to me how that works that someone can hide their bid until the end of the auction! i believe i should be the winner.
