Goodwill Industries pricing

Employee (thinking her name is Juanita) was extremely rude when a sign said all furniture was $1 and I was on my way up to the register and she was like ‘that's considered furniture but it's not $1'. When I asked her why, she said it's target and targets never $1. When I told her it didn't say that on the sign, she said she was taking all the signs down. A good manager would honor the sign to customers in the store.

Goodwill Industries customer service

Your employee Cherie walked up to me and told me she was not going to check me out. She did this very loud. She would not tell me the reason why. She then tried to tell me I was making a scene. I shop on your stores at least 4 times a week and I spend $300 or more everytime. I am a stylist and I exclusively shop in your stores for my clients. This is not only a total inappropriate situation, it is completely uncalled for. That woman embarrassed me in front of my son and other customers. I left your store in tears. What will be done about this? Perhaps she was having a bad day but guess what... I am too and that does not give her any grounds to treat me so poorly. She was a bit scary as much as she was uncouth. I would like to know what will be done in order for me to go into any of your stores again. I donate to your company almost everyday... now I cannot dupport your business. This is so very upsetting. I style Austin's up and coming and I do not want to share this situation at hand. My husband is a lawyer and I will be speaking to him when he gets home. This is not what my community needs either. My son is confused as well. This was over the top and will damage me for quite some time... I support your company with my Non Profit Organization so this will effect me on many different levels. I hope this can be handled in order for me to ever step foot in one of your stores.

Goodwill Industries employees

Some of the employees are mean and many of them swear and say [censored] a lot. Some of them can get by with doing little of their work and still get bonuses and good reviews. Some people always get the day hours and have lower goals than others. Some people do not have to clean the dressing room while others have to do the dressing room all the time. The managers have favorites and will fire you if you complain about anything. If you do a good job you get punished and bullied.

Goodwill Industries customer service

On monday 11-4-19 customer waited one hour before store opened in freezing weather. Store opens at 9am and employees open the door that their co-worker (who just got there approx. 8:55am) is standing at before opening the door that the customer who waited 1 hour.co worker gets helped with all the expensive jewelry (three trays at time) while the customer who waited 1 hour in the freezing cold never gets helped! Customer gets mad - rightfully so. Then manager tells the customer to leave and calls the police! This co-worker - I believe name is thuy. She buys the expensive jewelry on mondays sales days for $1.79 minus all her employee discounts - for resale! This has happened numerous times over the years. Former district manager, israel juarez promised this employee would not be able to make purchases any more several years ago. I believe this is unethical. Thuy has the opportunity to make her purchases with all her discounts before the sale days. I believe, if she was to be allowed to purchase (she starts her shift one hour late so she can shop on mondays); she should not get preferential treatment over other customers! There should be one line at one door to make it fair to all the customers!

Goodwill Industries I am complaining against goodwill store assistant manager named grace.

To whom it may concern: my name is jasette reddix and I am a customer at the Goodwill store on 8th Street and La Brea Ave. I would like to file my complaint against the Goodwill assistant manager named Grace. It all started on Saturday, August 31, 2019 around 12:00pm. Whenever I come to the Goodwill store. She would always follow me around the store and always harassing me by making me feel uncomfortable in the store by being way too close to me and breathing down my neck and standing too close to me by looking at me in appropriately like I was going to steal something at the store and accuse me of cutting in front of the line too, so I want her to stop harassing me and not follow me in the store anymore and not accuse me of any wrong doing at all and not only that, but I really want to stay away from me by not talking to me, or even look my way. I want her to leave me alone;otherwise, I will file a lawsuit against the Goodwill store and the assistant store manager Grace for harassment and discrimination against her because I am a disabled woman and I will not put up her harassing me inside the store nor stalking me inside the ever again. Otherwise, I will full restraining order against her harassing me and stalking me inside the store.

Goodwill Industries head person about employment

I am disabled. I was a cook at Doogers Seafood and Grill. The Warrenton resturaunt closed. I went to Goodwill to apply for a job.
The women, was rude to me. She said no I can't help you, unless your a citizen, and that I need to learn better english. I showed her paperwork where I am on Asylum in USA.
I also have a passport, and Oregon ID.
I will be filing a formal complaint against Warrenton Goodwill.
Hopefully Warrenton Goodwill could teach english classes to immigrants in the near future.

Goodwill Industries lack of service and rude manager

I have supported your stores for over 40 years with purchases and donations. On September 3 2019 I Afterwent to your Clovis Calif Store. I have a bad shoulder. I saw Treadmill that I wanted to purchase. I asked employee to help me with it. He said ok but left . And never returned, After 10 minutes. I saw young woman. Which was the manager . I asked her for help. She referred me to the cashier. I purchased some furniture when I saw the cashier. I also asked for help. The cashier directed me back to the furniture so the employees good pull it for me. In which I did . The cashier called for someone. After 15 minutes I asked another employee for help. She got the same manger I talked with before . Who then said I had to back of the store and show them the receipt. I then grabbed the treadmill with my right shoulder in pain towards the front of the For the electrical outlet to see it it works . As I neared the front. And employee asked if I needed help. I told her she was to late and voiced my concerns. By the time I got to the front I was to angry to purchase the treadmill. I then went to
The back of the store to pick up my items I had purchased. By the time I drove back to the store I was livid. And I used profanity as they loaded my merchandise. The same manager came out and proceeded to till me to calm down. I asked for her supervisor phone number she gave me the wrong number. When I called back for the correct number . They placed me on hold . I called another goodwill store. I talked with the managers supervisor, And he said get back to me today in which he did after several attempts he called me @ 5 pm. I did not ask for anything but apology from the manager, Today when the supervisor talked with me he apologized to me for the managers actions. And said get an apology from the manager. And when I said I was going to complain higher up . He told me that he would ban me from your stores. I can not believe after 40 years Doing business with goodwill . That I was treated this way. Maybe I should support Salvation Army.

Goodwill Industries manager ellen

I am a current employee of Goodwill in Stamford, almost an hr into my shift I was told I was learning to sort and once she went home I had to finish sorting merchandise, I spoke to my manager Ellen in the office and just explained to her that I didn't feel comfortable working in sorting because of bedbugs problem, she says ok I can go back in the floor to recover for the rest of the night but she had to tell another manager (Karla) that I didn't want to sort. 5 mins later I get called to the office and was told I had to go home because I didn't want to sort, that was rude, and very unprofessional it's not fair that I got sent home because I'm worried about my safety I am not the only one who complains about bed bugs and it's not fair of the way she treated me and sending me home because of the conditions the store is in.

Goodwill Industries not permitted to return an unwanted item at the time of its purchase.

I purchased a set of King sheets that displayed (I thought) a price ticket of $14.99. After my items were rung up by the cashier, I noted that said sheets were actually $44.99. Close inspection of the ticket revealed that it was smudged leading to my "misjudgment" of the price. I was NOT prepared to pay this much for a set of sheets in Goodwill, or anywhere else! I admitted the error was mine, but that the sticker was deceiving and at $44.99 I did NOT want the sheets. Cashier "Becky" said that since our transaction had completed she couldn't do anything about it, and I was 'stuck' with them. I politely asked her to call forth the Store Manager. The Store Manager refused to come to the register from the stock room, sending yet another clerk in her place to tell me, basically 'tough luck'. I left the store feeling cheated, as the price sticker clearly WAS difficult to read, the first "4", definitely appearing as a "1". I felt I'd been deceived, and treated with the poorest customer service I'd ever encountered, anywhere. No one offered to delete/cancel my purchase and re-ring it (other items) sans the expensive sheets. No one offered an apology for my confusion. No one offered to allow me to return the sheets (purchased at that moment) for even a store credit voucher. Everyone seemed quite insistent that my confusion in the pricing of the sheets was due to my own stupidity, and that was "my problem." I certainly wasn't intending to dispute the price---only that the price ticket on the item was NOT clear to me when I placed the sheets in my cart and on the checkout counter. I feel I was a bit 'duped' (thought NOT intentionally) by the store, but treated very poorly when I asked the store to work with me and rectify what was a purchase error, due to (perhaps) the store's negligence in marking the item. I was as calm and pleasant as possible, but was treated rather rudely, and my complaint and request for a return clearly 'blown off' by the store's personnel. As a regular and satisfied customer of this store, I was surprised at the apparent lack of training provided the cashier, Becky, with regard to customer satisfaction. Her statement was, basically, "I can't do anything about it; if you didn't want the sheets, that's YOUR problem." I was stunned at her attitude, and also that of the Store Manager who even refused to meet with me to discuss the issue, and any possible options toward customer satisfaction. Could this be the 'new' Goodwill I've been hearing about, where I'm always asked to 'Round-up' my change to the nearest $, for an additional donation to your mission, and I gladly do as such? What happened to doing business in 'good faith', folks? $44.99 for a set of sheets in a thrift store? Sheesh! Next time, I'll simply head for Kohl's, where I KNOW I'll be treated as a 'Valued Customer', instead of a PT Barnum 'sucker'.

By the way, I can't really blame the cashier and clerk; they clearly had no idea what to do; but the Store Manager was a bonehead in not coming forth to greet a dissatisfied customer, no matter WHAT the complaint...whatever happened to human decency in commerce?

Goodwill Industries a glass platter

I was in the wytheville va store I go there alot my mom and I at least once or twice a week never had a rude employee well Friday the 9th of Aug there was three glass platters or large plates wrapped in clear wrap. 3.99 I told the cashier lady I only needed the largest one and could she separate they did not go together anyway I told her I didnt care about price I just didnt need the other two.. Her name was Nancy Hibbs she informed me very hateful and loudly that once an item is wrapped and priced they could not undo it.. I said why not. She said she did not have to explain it and would I just buy it or put it back on shelf.. I went ahead and bought all three. I asked to speck to a manager and she said she was the manager. I said well someone has to be over you . And I would like their name and the store managers name... She prodceeded in ringing up my elderly mom and complaining loudly to all in line about 5 people about it and how I was wasting her time. Excuse me I thought cashiers was being paid to be helpful especially managers.. Well I asked again for her managers name and store managers name She finally gave it to me seeing I wasnt leaving til she did.. All the while as I was standing there one of the guy employees was on a cell phone calling someone and telling them that they had tagged a bed as sold til person on phone could get there to look at it..This is not the first time I have hear and seen people either be on the phone telling someone about an item or taking them to the back to get a just arrived item.. There is alot of wrong doings going on up there. Perhaps this needs to be looked into.. Stuff is gave to Goodwill and changing a price shouldnt matter as long as its a fair price.. This other is wrong because it should be first come first get but up there you have to know an employee in order to get any furniture or good items.. And managers should not be so rude and hateful to customers and should not gossip to other customers about another one This person should be fired immediately she has been rude to others as well.

Goodwill Industries ladies shirt

While checking out I asked if they would discount a shirt that was ripped under the arm and side and I was told no. I asked if they would switch the color tag to yellow to make it 50% off since is was damaged. They still said no. I asked for a manager and I was told the same exact thing. The manager said they aren't allowed to sell ripped clothes and that I either pay full price for it or they would be taking it off the floor and trashing it. I asked if I could have the item since they were throwing it away and he said no. I asked if they would accept 2 bucks and I said they were a donation store and any amount of money would benefit them. The two ladies behind me agreed and we all feel Goodwill was wrong. Thus upsets me as I am a frequent shopper there and also donate a lot. But if that's how this company wants to be please let me know.

Goodwill Industries furniture

Most furniture sold more than a day ago and still will not sell. The sheets states that all furniture must be picked up in 24 hrs. If you cant pick it up you shouldn't be able to buy especially if the store is not going to follpw the 24 hr policy. This is annoying when you find something, you have a way to transport it, and they will not sell it. Maybe the policy should be same day instead if 24 hrs. And the manager that i spoke with was less than pleasant, the other workers were great though.

Goodwill Industries service

7/23/19 at around 6:15. I was waiting to check out. The woman cashier went over to help the other cashier. She had called for assistance prior. A man came and started straightening clothes ha here. The cashier told him I needed to be waited on. The employee immediately goes over to a man standing by glass case and waits on him. I, as a woman, was totally ignored. I waited a few minutes. No one ever said another word to me. I left my cart full of items and the store.

I then called the store to get a number to file a complaint. A man answered and introduced himself as the assistant manager. I explained what had happened. He was the man that ignored me. He said he couldn't run me up on that cash register. He never acknowledged me. He kept talking and talking. I asked for complaint number 5 times. He finally gave me the number as 502-585-5221. He also added that this was crazy. I asked if he was calling me crazy. I explained to him by him blankly ignoring me and serving the man, he discriminated against me.

I'm a RN, I don't have to shop Goodwill. I also know how everyone is to be treated. I have gone into all the local Goodwills frequently. Really, I've never been treated so obviously rudely discriminated against in any Goodwill or any other store for that matter.

Goodwill Industries unethical behaviour business practices fraud with usps

To whom it may concern. Please help!
Ongoing issues with this location since new management took over late 2016. Everything from missing orders, to unlawful use of usps government boxes & then shipping them with fedex. Speaking with management is of no resolution: they lie & are condescending "despite our nearly" $200k in support annually at this specific location.
As of a month ago after 3yrs of combining all our orders they started refusing to combine, making profits funds from shipping by not combining orders making us pay for every item individually for no apparent reason, & have know reason. We have also left numerous messages by phone & email with a deliberate no response. We figure this to be somewhere between $700-$1000 per month just from our business alone. We have also currently tried to contact the customer support on shopgoodwill site and continue to get the runaround from them as well, I have requested them to forward me to someone who can help & address my concerns about this location but they continue to default to giving me they same phone numbers to that location & not directing me to a high up. Please someone help.

Goodwill Industries returns

I purchased a lamp on Saturday took it home got it set up, plugged it in it didn't work, but when I got it set up I took the sticker off knowing that everything I have purchased at Goodwill has worked and found out this one did not work. So on Sunday I returned it showed her my receipt and was told they couldn't accept it because I took the sticker off. What really upset me that they wouldn't take it back the manager was very rude, I'm assuming she was the manager because the cashier had to go ask her permission to see if I could return it, but the cashier was very nice. The mamager could have been nice about it when I ask why and her rude attitude replied because I don't know if it's ours or not. Even though the lamp was inexpensive it was the rudeness of the manager that was upsetting.

Excuse me I do know the difference between no and rude and besides you have nothing to do with me filling a complaint or even judging me, you must not have anything better to do. I had the sticker and the receipt the sticker just wasn't stuck on the product but was stuck on the receipt and she still wouldn't take it back. She was flat out rude, you were not there you did not hear her tone of voice or see the nasty looks she gave me because I wanted to return it. I wasn't the only one who thought she was rude there were others in line who also stated how rude she was.

Goodwill Industries goodwill in austin

I first gets a job through Goodwill staffing agency in Austin and Eric sherman was the man who hired me, who never scheduled me to work, but i have the uniform T-shirt, I entered in the Austin Salvation Army on 6/11/2019 and so shortly after that I applied to work, he claim he was not in charge of the scheduling and that he sent me a list of job positions to choose from to apply but it looked like me to become a employee through the Convention center and their was scheduling to work through the Goodwill staffing at all, and so he inform me to show up at the Convention center in Austin to talk to the manager to set up some kind of scheduling, i spoke with the manager Tigey who said he was not in charge of the scheduling and needed to speak back with Eric Sherman
and said he only needed me to work one night and i work that one night and have not been working now for two months now but meanwhile through the Austin Salvation army my 90 days will be up on July 11, 2019 but in the past moving from shelter to shelter not having anything wrong with me, led me to be kicked out in 90 days without any full-time work just because i do not have anything wrong with me and want to be self sufficient and that is what these shelters claim they are doing but is not doing in reality. I am being faced to being kicked out back into the elements. They only give you 30 days without anything wrong with you and to work a job.

In my past, i applied for the social security through the Cass. shelter in Phoenix arizona which could have trashed everything i did with them after me going along with them, I had someone fill out the paperwork on my behalf and i went through the process of having a learning disability but i was denied due to not doctors i been to take medication in whom the Doctor stated I am bi-polar which it was a lie, because i remember confronting them, and found out they falsify documents to make money off of you and so later I was denied services due to refusing to be watched to take the medication that makes you crazy. That papertrail has followed me through being tracked through the HMIS data base that every agency gets view concerning my situation and everywhere i am denied services once they find out i keep refusing being Mental.

Goodwill Industries nothing was priced!

A friend and I visited the Goodwill store on 4353 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines, Iowa. Nothing was price! The only thing that was price is the wicker baskets and DVDs. It was frustrating shopping not knowing the price of anything. And the items that we did want to purchase they wouldn't sell to us when we finally got to the counter because they didn't have a price on them. So they wouldn't even sell them to us. The store had plenty up close but almost nothing for miscellaneous nick-nacks. Seriously the Shelf 20 ft long we have three items on it or no items. So I don't understand why they can't have anything priced. It's not like the place was pack out with merchandise. I was surprised at how bare it was. Which was why I was super surprised when I found out nothing was priced and then I was super duper surprised when they wouldn't even sell it to us. The items were going to be two or three dollars. It just seems like they could have sold items to us for a fair price. Or just sold them to us period. None of the 9 items read wanted to purchase had a price tag on them. Not a single one. In a situation like that, it's not the regular employees fault, necessarily. It is on the Manager to make sure those things are done whether they do it themselves or they will start the regular employee to do it. It's the manager's responsibility to make sure it gets done. And it's the manager's fault but it wasn't done. Around 80% of the merchandise in the store was not price.
