Giant Food / Giant of Maryland review: Pharmacy

Hello,

Today I went with my mother to the Giant at to find a vaccine for her. She is 59 and has diabetes. She has not been lucky with the appointments. I understand that this is a lottery, so we were trying to see if we were lucky; if we were not, we would try again the next day.

At 3:30 PM, a woman said that we could wait if we wanted to see if someone wouldn't show up for their vaccine and that the pharmacy closes at 5 PM. So, we waited. At 5 PM, I asked again, and a vulgar man told me that they don't give vaccines to people who stay, that what I have been told was to wait if wanted to but that I was never waiting for a vaccine because I would not have gotten one even if they had. So basically, we were randomly waiting in Giant to be 5 PM just to see my watch. The tone and the words he said shocked me so much.

This man's attitude towards their customers, especially customers that are waiting for a vaccine in a pandemic that has killed so many, is sad and repulsive. My father and uncle had COVID-19, and they were very sick, I am glad they made it, but you have no idea how scary that was, after losing their friends and other family members; and to have someone thinking the vaccine is some sort of power, it just angers me. What kind of people are working in Giant in these hard times? That is not the way you should manage this traumatic situation.

I believe you should do something with this man because I am positive this is not the first time he gets a complaint.
