On Tuesday July 14, 2026, at approximately 5 :00 PM. I witnessed an incident inside the Giant Food Store at 2323 Forest Dr, Annapolis, MD. I was in the spaghetti aisle and a lady of Asian descent with a baby approach me and asked for money. I gave her a dollar. Quite clearly the lady violated store policy of no pan handling in the store. Immediately after the assistant manager of African American descent approached the lady and her baby and started yelling at her and did so in her ear all the way to the exit door. This was very severe examples literally of the manager verbally abusing her. Unprofessionally and unacceptable. When I approached the manager, he started yelling at me also. At the front of the store the customer service lady of African descent threatened to call the police on me. I left the store with my paid groceries. Total lack of Professionalism at that store. Solution sends the manager to classes for sensitivity training on how to speak to people. Strong suggestion finds the lady and her baby and donate groceries to her.
Claimed loss: Embarrassment of a unprofessional Assistant Manager with severe anger issues.
Desired outcome: Sensitivity training
