2016 sierra in shop 3 weeks no end in sight
Had my 2016 Sierra 6.2 towed to the shop (Gan Chev in Gananoque, Ont) going on three weeks now. Seized rocker, bent rod... The dealer was able to get all parts except the head gaskets. Truck sits in lot until someone at GM decides to get off their [censored] and do their job. Dealer has tried to get this part, no luck. Found a set of Gaskets at a Dealer in Toronto however, that dealer wouldn't give them up. Just like everyone else, paid alot of money for this truck to use as a truck not some citiot driving around looking pretty and I am now three weeks in and no end in sight. Getting the [censored] story about the strike and no parts... excuses, poor planning. Dealer has done all they can. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. Fix my damn truck!
2014 sierra 5.3 collapsed lifter
My 2014 Sierra 5.3 is in the shop for collapsed lifter. Looking at internet post I have found several examples of my exact experience.
Went to dealership, had oil changed, ran fine for a few miles, started missing real bad, check engine light came on and traction control light came on.
Limped it back to the dealership, they stated collapsed lifter #1 cyl intake. Seems to be a very common story. Has there been no recalls or legal suits made about this?
Seems like a lot of money being made at dealerships over this problem.
My extended warranty ran out about 2000 miles ago, now I'm screwed.
This sceams factory defect to me, and I need GM to help me with the extreme cost of fixing this problem. I still own a lot of money on a product I bought under the belief that this was a good product and would last me the rest of my life (retired and receiving disability). It galls me to know that GM has become so sorry that they will not repair these defects under factory recall.
I'm going back to Dodge.
Update. Collapsed lifter ruined the camshaft. repairs will cost me over $5000.00 out of my pocket.
I still owe almost $20, 000.00 on the truck. I put a lot of faith in GM, but it appears not to be the same GM I remember.
This has happened to 1000's of GM trucks with the 5.3L AFM (DOD) engines and although GM has redesigned the lifters at least two times, they have never admitted a problem or issued a recall. This engine is in Chevrolet pickups, Tahoe's, Avalanche's, GMC pickups, and Yukon's. Some engines failed during warranty and a lot have failed after. The evidence is in the silveradosierra.com forum and the chevyavalanchefanclub.com forum. Most times a lifter fails and caused the cam to fail requiring an engine rebuild or replacement. My 2008 Avalanche failed at 70K miles, requiring an engine replacement at $8, 000. This engine had Mobil-1 oil and filter changes its whole life. Customer service will not escalate to management even though I have repeatedly requested such. I have owned 31 GM vehicles in my life without a single engine failure. I am now retired and had planned to keep this vehicle on the road for the rest of my life and was cared for accordingly. My only request to GM was to share in the expense with me due to the apparent design flaw. They will not escalate nor participate in helping me.
gmc denali commercial. one for me, one for you.
This commercial is so obnoxious let alone annoying and the wife comes off as a spoiled gold digging brat. Its played so much that actions need to be made. On one nfl football game broadcast on fox. Its was played 15 times in 3 hours! Please help get this off the air. It played all last holiday season. Its started already this year. I cannot handle another year of that prissy woman abusing her husbands generosity. This ad is so rude!
I see they have modified it . She used to say I love at least 4 times.
If your smart no one should buy a Denali . I made that mistake ( Sierra Denali 1500 loaded with everything ), what a piece of crap . Looks nice and has allot of nice stuff, but it continues to breaks and fall apart ! I have only 36, 000 on mine and have had to have front differential on AWD replaced already . Stability Traction control senor went bad . Dash Board has also cracked and the very Expensive Chrome specialty wheels are Peeling off chrome like paint on a old house ! GM says this is just normal wear .
gmc yukon
I have bought my gmc yukon on may 2016 and now the problem is with the paint on the front bonnet area.the paint in that engine bonnet area is dull and faded .rest all the area is absolutely fine.
The bonnet area where the engine is licated theere only the paint is faded and it is rough and looks very bad and i have informed the oman gmc agent regarding this and they told it happens with all the vehicles in gcc with datk color.
The engine room is absolutly fine with protective form inside.
Pls look in this matter and pls do the needful

chevrolet malibu 2019
I have purchased a car a week ago and it has a lot of problems that concern me.
1) there was a problem with the brakes and they replaced the disks for me under warranty.
2) the rubber around the panoramic sunroof is ripped at places and unfortunately I only came to realisation is a few days later
3) there is a little area without a paint like it's been somehow scratched.
Honestly I am quite upset about my purchase and the fact that it has all these things.
I purchased a 2019 Malibu, really like the car BUT if you open the drivers side door or the trunk after the car has been sitting a swishing sound comes out of the back of the car. You really hear it best when you open the trunk. I took it back to the dealership Bennett Chevrolet Egg Harbor Twp. NJ left it there 3 times and they said they couldn't hear it . I video the car and the sound is very clear, they repeated they couldn't hear it. The attitude of the service men is terrible. When I first told them about the sound they looked at me like I had 3 heads, their words we'll look at it. DON'T look just listen look at the video yes and listen. Have there been any other customers complaining of this noise? Would really like to know what it is. Thank you for your attention on this matter. shift to park sensor on 2017 gmc acadia
I picked my car up from the dealership on October 8, 19 where I had the harness "fixed" in 2017 Acadia for a shift to park message I was receiving.
October 22, 2019 I was not able to start my car and it display "service battery saver" and "Service parking break" and locked me out. All interior and exterior light remained on for hours, I was also NOT able to access my car by GM app or by key fob and had to have the car towed to the dealership. They simply said it was my battery that had went bad and I had to pay out of pocket for a new battery and diagnostics.
On October 30, 2019, my car is back at the dealership displaying the "shift to park" message.
From what I have read on the shift to park sensors they do not fully shut your car down, this is a direct correlation between my battery dying.
I believe GM should be held liable for the costs that I have incurred due to this, from running the diagnostics, a new battery and the fee to having my car towed. My car has been in the shop three times in the past month and is only two years old all due a faulty sensor that was supposed to fixed the first time on October 8th.
2014 silverado ltz vin 3gcuksec4eg258440 a/c codenser issue.
I was at Kenny Ross Chevrolet in Irwin, Pa., yesterday, 30 Oct 2019 for an A/C Condenser repair/ replacement . This was noticed the week prior because the A/C was blowing not too cool air. To my surprise, this repair costs me over $1400. I am a disabled vet on limited income and that is a huge hit to the budget. I was forced to retire in 2012 and I ordered this truck to be my last new vehicle. I expected it to last 10-15 years as my past 3 Chevrolet and GMC vehicles have. To my second surprise, I find that there have been numerous reports on the web showing this exact issue. There are a multitude of sites out there to sign on for a class action law suit for this issue. I dont want to be apart of that but I do feel this issue should be taken care of by GM. I have been a loyal GM customer for 35 years. I am in search of reimbursement for this repair.
2019 zo6 corvette
Currently my Zo6 is sitting at a dealership in Orlando Florida. 7, 800 highway miles and car has been at dealership for 3 weeks now with 4 bent wheels. Insurance is paying for the wheels but currently no back wheels available. I had to eat my return flight to get my car since it is not fixed. I am currently having to buy plane tickets to get to work and home since I usually drive my vehicle. Currently my Corvette is at Auto Nation Chevrolet 5600 Lee Vista Blvd, Orlando, FL 32812 with 2 Corvettes on the lot. I don't see why they cannot give me a set of wheels off of one of those other Corvettes. I currently have no date on when they might find a set of rear rims. At this point I would like a check cut for all 4 wheels so I can buy a set of aftermarket wheels so I can get my car home to 7700 181st ave nw Ramsey Mn 55303.
gm radio diagnostics check
On Friday, 10/25/19, I took my 2007 GM Yukon in because when my husband changed out my battery, my radio stopped working. I took my vehicle in for diagnostics and I was told that the radio was bad and I needed a new radio for close to $800. I told them I would have to decide on that. I asked if there were any read out codes or anything on the diagnostic...
Read full review of General Motorsfaulty trailer brake system on my chevy truck
My 2014 Chevy truck has had a problem with the trailer brake system since 2015. I have attached the service documents from all of the times this truck has been in the shop to fix this issue, and it never got fixed until 11/13/2014.
This issue should have been fixed under warranty, as there was multiple opportunities to have fixed it during the warranty period, as you can see on the attached service documents, from two different GM shops. I have owned many GM vehicles through the years, as has my family, and I own two of them now.
I am requesting reimbursement of the $113.50 that I had to pay for this repair.
2018 equinox awd
This auto should only be sold and driven south of the Mason - Dixon line. When the temp gets below 15 degrees the transmission will not shift into over-drive. Driving this way in the winter in Minnesota makes poor gas mileage, more wear on the engine, as it has to run 4000 rpm in order to keep up with traffic. This is a leased car and I would like to see a fix to this problem. I find out that I am not alone. Many people that drive this vehicle in the north in winter months have the same problem. The mechanics tell me to install a blanket in the front, That may make the engine run warmer but will not solve the problem. I would need to park it in a heated garage to make the car think that it is above 15 degrees.
gm own words and statement
Under neath gm's own score broad of complaints and resolved (in smaller print under the circle) there is a statement by gm "doing nothing would be this company's favorite pastime if they would have the energy for it."
Unbelievable!
If you look at 1184 complaints and growing weekly, and they updated their great performance for customer issues from 3 resolved to a whopping ' 4 '
I'd say they truly believe in doing nothing and just so gm understands if you have to find energy to do nothing, you have mastered doing nothing for your customers
But hey gm will offer you 18 to 28 % off a vehicle they won't stand behind. Jmo
Can you say over priced,
Gm you have found another way to insult your customer base again! What a stupid statement " doing nothing would be this company's favorite pastime if they would have the energy for it.
This site proves they found the energy to do nothing!
2014 Chevy Silverado
GM, my name is Jessie Sapien and I want to complain about my 2014 Silverado I bought New, the first of the newer body style with the Rally edition package. I paid alot of money and enjoy it. Early August I was in Dallas TX stopped to put gas to return to Memphis TN and upon arrival my check engine came on. So I took it to Serra chevy in Bartlett TN where i purchased it, got it looked at and the injectors were bad! I was very upset my truck only had 72k miles had injector issues. This cost me $2, 000. I was not prepared to spend that much as I'm still making payments on the truck. To make matters worse since I did not have the $2k, I applied for a Capital one buy power card advertised by the dealer and was not able to use it immediately to pay for service. I regularly service my vehicle, take care of to prevent any issues. My previous trk I had was a 2001 chevy silverado ext cab I had for many years and traded it in with 97k original miles for my new 2014 Silverado as i needed more for my new daughter's. That never gave me any issues. My email is Jessie.[protected]@hotmail.com.
2003 olds alero
Hello, I purchased my alero new in 2003. The car has 76.000 miles on it, and it has turned into a very nice driveway queen. I have spent so far over 2, 000 dollars trying to get this car to be reliable. Way to many times the car will crank, but not start. When it does start we have a great chance of the car just shutting down ( happened 3 times for wife, 4 times for me ). A very dangerous situation. We have already changed the passlock sensor. A very brilliant idea?!? These problems, and the repair cost have all happened in the last 6 months. I am getting real tired of this. It is sad because I have allways liked GM. But now I don't think I would buy another GM car very soon. Do you have any ideas? ...Ronald A. Mac Arthur...Vin # 1G3NK52F73C125062, A real LEMON
2014 chevrolet traverse
We purchased this vehicle used late summer 2018. Almost immediately after purchase, the vehicle had brake issues, vibration on the highway, transmission shifting hard between 1&2 and 2&3, engine making lots of noise when AC is used. We've brought the car to GM dealers for service, two different shops. We usually have had the issues looked at when we take for oil change. Every time we take it, we get a different answer on the shifting. First it was that's how that car shifts. Another said they reset it to factory programming, which corrected the 1&2 shift. But has consistently had a hard shift between 2&3. It's progressively getting worse. Today we were told the tech couldn't replicate the issue. This was after the service manager wouldn't even look at it because the warranty he saw was with the previous owner. After giving him the warranty info for what we have, they completely ignored looking at it. The engine noise has never been figured out. Today we were told it is the power steering pump that needs to be replaced. Never had an issue with the steering. Again, the noise amplifies when the AC is engaged. And for some reason, for the second time, the rotors couldn't be cut so we have to replace pads and rotors on the rear. We keep getting the run around with no results. I feel they are waiting until our warranty is done before they address all these issues. I absolutely hate driving the car. We drive the car every day and know something is wrong with it. But as I said, no answers other then, can't replicate.
service dept
This company is ripping off their customers since the new managers. The tried to rip me repeatedly. When my new impala was brought in for and oil change, I was told that I need a new oil pan gasket replacement, I refused and have drove for eight years without losing a drop of oil. Each time I brought my car in I was told that something needed to be done...
Read full review of General Motorsradio codes for older model cars
I am very disappointed in the removal of the [protected] radio code retrieval line. I have always been a loyal gm owner and when buying used cars this number is not always available to the new owner. The 800 number allowed you to get the code and get your radio back on after maintenance. I have contacted a dealer who told me to call the gm help line, [protected]. I did and gm help line told me to contact a dealer. Obviously, neither the dealer or gm customer support knows, or doesn't want to help, what they are doing. I am requesting the corresponding four digit code for 653 656. Please help
air conditioning with new refrigerant
I have an XTS, VIN 2G61S5S38D9112885. At 60k miles, Pep Boys has diagnosed no cold air is due to compressor failure. At this low a mileage, I can't help but wonder if its not related to the new 1234yf refrigerant. they want $1500 to replace.
GM did help me once before out of warranty when the QUE and dashboard went out, and I was very appreciative. I am wondering if it could be applied to AC issues. I am taking to another AC repair place - cost looks like $1200. Yes, I am wondering about compensation.

Multiple dates ranging from June 2018 - October 2019 I have taken my car back to Stan King Chevrolet over 20 times for different reasons.
