We are a small automotive repair shop that recently serviced a 2020 Kia Soul with a malfunctioning transmission. Although South Dade Kia is much closer, we opted to purchase the transmission from Miami Lakes Kia since they had it readily available. After replacing the transmission and reprogramming the vehicle, everything seemed perfect — until it broke...

2012 chevy equinox rear hatch
On 3/31/2017 i took my car to miami lakes automall because the rear hatch was opening by itself, and sometimes not opening at all. This problem has exsisted every since i purchased my car. They say that they had repaired the very same problem on may 30. 2013. The repair total was $112.12, i was not charged for the repair. Although it had become very clear to me from the beginning that the rear hatch mecanism was flawed from the manufactor, i can not understand how the same thing can break down again. It seems the mecanism is only designed to last around 3-4 years. Me only having 22296 miles on the car and yet this time the total repair charged to me was $447.72 and that included a veterans discount. Due to injuries sustained in the war i suffered 3rd burns over 80% of face and body, had all fingers and lower bowels resected. Inturn ensureing that i seldom leave the sanctity of my home. My car not only has 22296 mil:es on it but is kept within a covered carport behind 6 foot fences. I only have two small dents on entire car. I can not understand how i was deemed responsible for the repairs. The difference in prices from one repair to the next. I dont make the car nor the parts. Definately can not make repairs myself. And one more time i do-not understand with only 22296 miles on a obvious recurring problem how they saw fit to charge me for this. Someone please tell me did they have the right. They should have charged whom ever they got the rear latch mecanism from. Because the mecanism itself is faulty to begin with. The people at miami lakes automall took it as a joke that this repair would fail again in about three years and i would be dealing with the same problem again. I asked that if you know the thing will fail again, why keep using it in your cars. I have the paperwork if needed. Michael jones, 1140 ne 145th st miami fla 33161. Tel#[protected].
