I just rented from Fox at 1776 E Holt Blvd, Ontario, CA 91761 at about 8:20 pm on March 18, 2026. I must say I countered the rudest person in any customer service who obviously does not belong in client facing customer service. Her name sounded like Jocelyn or Yoslin (she refused to spell it out for me when I asked).
I have rented from this location many times before and they were all very polite and helpful. This person was a rude exception.
At first she just sat there doing nothing and without helping me as I was next in the queue while another staff was helping the other customer. When I asked, she said it was the other staff who would help me. Then suddenly she said that she could help me after a good 10 mts.
Her attitude was like a typical Karen rather than a customer service person. While processing she slipped me a paper and asked me to fill in my details like name, number email and address. I told here that all the times I had rented from here I was never asked to fil this info which was all there in the reservation anyway. She said that I HAVE TO. So I told here, that I decline to fill out unnecessary info that she could already see.
She said she needed that to confirm my identity. It was obviously just to harass me. I said I had given her my driver's license which had my photo and my address on there.
So, then she makes me tell her my name, to spell it, my address, the city, the zip code, the email, the emergency contact number. When I objected and told here that I would be complaining about her, she said that I could complain all I wanted and that nothing would happen. And then she became angry and loud and said that I was giving her attitude and that she could cancel my reservation right then as she didn’t need my business.
I could have left, but I needed the car urgently. I want the Fox management tell me is that the kind of persons you hire in client-facing roles? If yes, then I won’t rent from Fox again.
After many years of renting from Hertz, I had since last year starting renting from Fox. I did need this kind of rude behavior and harassment from your staff. I would rather pay more and get professional staff rather than this Jocelyn or Yoslin you have at this location.
Desired outcome: Jocelyn (or Yoslin) should be reprimanded. She certainly does not belong in a client-facing assignment. More appropriately she should join the armed forces where her belligerent attitude would in fact be an asset. She missed her calling.
