You’d expect cabin crew to be helpful and assist with your bags when you board a flight with one arm. I understand this is not mandatory, it’s just human though. For context, I’ve had surgery on my left arm and I’m unable to use it, made it all the way to the airplane no problem, but I just needed someone to help me put my carryon in the overhead compartment. Dear cabin crew Faten checked my boarding pass and informed me to put my bag a few rows in the back as there was no space where I’m sitting, clearly seeing me struggling with one arm. I proceeded to inform her that I’m not able to do so as I have one arm. Faten then says “I also can’t lift it”. The bag is literally less than 5 kilos I’m not sure if she’s taking the piss or being snarky with me, but that kind of attitude is not what I’d expect from a cabin crew who’s supposed to be helpful. A passenger proceeded to assist with the bag while Faten stood there doing absolutely nothing. disappointing. And yes I’m calling her out by name because this is a crappy thing to do.
Desired outcome: Just tell your staff to do better. A training in courtesy is needed.
