am submitting this review to report a misleading sales interaction and to request further investigation.
I was contacted by an individual who identified herself as “Liza” with an accent using the following phone numbers: 204-218-5688, 825-940-9976, 780-541-7362. She advised that I could obtain an iPhone 16 Pro Max by adding $7 for a 15-day trial to my existing $55/month plan, and that I could decide afterward whether to proceed with a 2-year contract.
I stated multiple times that I already have an active Fido account. She repeatedly confirmed that the offer would apply to my existing account and indicated my total would be approximately $62/month. She also involved another person described as “technical” who guided me through the app/account steps to complete the transaction online through Fido.
Because the offer sounded unusual, I asked for confirmation and told her I would verify it in person at the Fido store at Park Place before proceeding. Store staff advised that the information provided to me was not entirely correct, and that I would be required to pay for both my existing plan and the device cost.
I am requesting that Fido investigate whether these phone numbers are linked to any authorized representatives, confirm whether similar offers are valid, and ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect customers from misleading sales communications.
