Family Dollar rude staff

On Sunday, November 3 at 2:58 PM and employee while at the cash register head on headphones singing rap lyrics while proceeding to check me out the story gets worse he goes oh did I bring this up oh that I ring data while the manager was standing next to him as someone can please give me a call back [protected] thank youThey employ Eagles back-and-forth with me and rude disrespectful belligerent me and her not only was he singing rap lyrics while proceeding to check me out at the register he was saying smart I'm want it comments once again while the manager was standing right next to him

Family Dollar store did not open at correct time.

I waited earlier this morning, 8 am to 9:30 am. The store never opened. I must have seen 60 customers come and leave. Finally I gave up, once at home i called the store. No answer. I continued calling until finally a woman answered, I asked what time they opened, she replied we are open now.
During my wait, a police officer looked inside and pulled the doors. He then went sit in his car. He stayed in the parking lot.
I'm 77 yrs. I'm grateful to be able to do my shopping at family dollar. I wasnt able to do that today. I dont know when I will make it there again.

Family Dollar rude employees, poor customer service

This store is notorious for its rude, unprofessional, and often outright obnoxious employees. This morning (10:30 am, 11/3/19), the only employee working in the store was having a personal conversation on her cell phone, complaining about customers and how "sick of" us she was.

This is not the first time something like this has happened, but it is certainly the last time that I will attempt to shop there. I consider the problem to be less with the employee than with the store management, for neither setting nor enforcing policies involving minimum startards of courtesy and professionalism.

I understand that it is a low-income area with a diverse customer base, but manning the store with rude and incompetent employees can be interpreted as a form of discrimination, as it assumes that the customer base is not good enough to deserve better.

I also understand that the employees are not particularly well-paid, making minimum wage- or just barely more than that. But a word to the wise to those employees: if you cannot perform even a low-paying job well, you should prepare yourself for a lifetime of that type of work, as no one will ever hire you for something better.

Family Dollar treatment of young black kids

Went to family dollar with my 2 kids and 1 friend. Age from 14- 16. I gave them $20 to get snacks and I stayed in the car. They went in the store and came back with their snacks. As I pulled up to the house, they told me that the employee asked them " who has the money"
My son said " I do"
So the employee told the other 2 to stay up front and didn't allow them to go shopping.
What kind of policy is that?
Is it just for young black kids?
FD needs to quit treating our young black kids like criminals!
And by the way, my youngest is a Straight A student!
This situation really affected them.
I will no longer shop at aFamily Dollar store

Make noise! Don’t stop! Those children will be affected by the way the world perceives and treats them. Glad you had their back so they know it was wrong. To those who post negatively in response to your complaint- BE PART OF THE SOLUTION OR GET OUT OF THE WAY ✌️

Family Dollar your coupons

I just found your app for couponing. The first time I did it it worked perfect. I tried again me and my aunt both tonight 11/02/2019. Your store in oak hill ohio had a sale so we tried tonight. It wouldn't except the coupons on your app. It over charged me $6.00 for one bic razors. They were suppose to be $4.00 off. I got charged full price on one and only $3.00 on the other. Plus your gain fireworks was on sale for $3.95 the app said buy 2 get $3.00 off. Your store said there was a $2.00 coupon off. I used all digital coupons. I was charged $3.95 for each. They should have been $1.95 each from store . and razors should have been $3.00 each. So I was out of pocket around $10.00. My aunt's price did not come up the right price either. We were both getting about the same thing. So she was out around the same price. Sorry I don't have her reciept. Please fix your app . we can not even scan items in your store even your workers said no one's works. I also coupon At dollar General and I've always gotten great deals. Please make this right.or we will not be shopping there anymore and we had planned on doings this together once a week..Thank you.

Glad to read your comment, I was going to complain about the need for an app to save money, some of us can not afford a smart phone, so we can's use the app. Why not have a card like CVS or walgreens, so All people can get savings, not just people who can afford a fancy phone!

Family Dollar cashier is rude

November 2, 2019

I went into the store to buy one item that was less than a dollar. I had a $20 bill. The cashier asked if I had something else. I told her no. She looked at me like she didn't want to wait on me because I had $20. I don't know why. I have spent money in their store for years. The manager even knows me and she knows I'm not a trouble maker. I just asked the cashier if I was taking all of her change because I would have went to Dollar General, which is down the street. I told myself I'm not going to this store again.

Family Dollar poor customer service

I attempted to purchase a blow dryer at the store that was wrongly labeled on the shelf and on my bill I attempted to bring it up to two staff members one being the manager she failed to take any responsibility for the store and continuously blamed corporate. I explained that she was the face of corporate and should not being blaming her corporate office. If I could walk to their corporate office I would but unfortunately I could not. She continued to say it was not her fault. I asked for her name and was provided two different names. The second time I asked she was even hesitant to provide her name. Why hire someone within a manager role who fails to take action and only blame corporate. Why accept the pay and not accept the responsibility. The customer service was not friendly but abusive and a total lack of understanding. So I took the advice of the manger and contacted corporate with my concerns. Thank you Jenny

Family Dollar coupons

The cashier at store #02928 I dealt with absolutely the worst customer service I have dealt with. I bought multiple items that totalled 28.00. I typed in my number for digital coupons and my 5/25 did not come off. I also bought two gillette disposable razors. For one I had a digital coupons one was a paper coupon. Before my paper coupon my total was $10 and some change. When she scanned the paper coupon it made my total go up to $12.00 I tried to get my 5/25 and my 4.00 paper coupon credit taken off she said that I could not do both. Your policy states you can use multiple coupons of the same as long as you have products that qualify for those coupons. I want this resolved and I need my money back. I asked for a manager and there was none on duty. I am almost to the point of no longer shopping with you guys. Please contact me so we can get a resolution.

Family Dollar stupid return policy

I bought 2 small heaters ($16.00 each) at the Family dollar store down the road from my office this morning. I brought them to the office and plugged them in and they did not work. I boxed them back up and took them back about 2 hours later and was told that I could not return them that all I could do was exchange them for the same thing. Ok if 2 of them in that box did not work what was the chance of the other ones not working.
The woman working was very rude and basically told me that it was my problem not hers!
This is just crazy!

Family Dollar service complaint

I've been in this store many of times and in many other family dollar stores but this particular time I was told I was not allowed to take my diaper bag around the store with me. It didn't sit well with me because my diaper bag alone is $60 not including everything I have in it. I was planning on getting a lump some of stuff but i ended up only getting wipes because I didn't feel comfortable leaving my bag up front with no supervision sitting in a metal chair right beside the exit door.

Family Dollar payroll family dollar Milwaukee Wisconsin store #8545

Hi I'm writing this because I being having problems with the manager from one of yours stores here in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The store number is #8545 and the name of the manager is Rosa. First of all my husband was working at that store and when he went to fill all the paper work she supposed to put the number of a card that you guys provided and she didn't she just invented a number and put it in the computer I was there, so my husband is having trouble getting paid because of that they already give him that one day check but he still missing the other check since august 4 if I'm not mistaken they own him a 2 weeks check . And I find it unfair for her to do that he worked those day I don't understand why she doesn't want to pay it and this is not the only problem she doesn't like the employees speaking Spanish that racist, and the other thing is that when she leaves the store and walk buy the doors tha alarm always goes up like she stealing something but no body check her. But that not my problem I want the money that belongs to my husband that he works until now because family dollar own him that money we gonna be in contact with my attorney if he doesn't get paid I'm taking this to court call me at [protected] thank you.!

Family Dollar disgusted

I sent my dyslexic cousin to the family dollar in the Bronx with an empty box of pain medicine so that he can find the right box to buy. He was called a thief and removed from the store. When I went to find out why this occurred, the manger was this sloppy ratchet rude person, the store was packed and filthy and the manager wasn't any help. I had expected her to say it was a misunderstanding due to the empty box but nope - once I explained the box she claimed he had stolen from the store during some vague and random prior occurrences. I have made a complaint to corporate and will seek legal action if this is not resolved - but this was a clear example of inexperienced employees racially discriminating against a young African American male wearing a hoodie and not knowing he had a learning disability and not realizing his cousin is a well off, well-educated woman that will not sit by and let this unfair treatment stand.

Complaint to family dollar store # 11822

- i'm a 24 year old average, thick, tattooed, south louisianan, woman, I have 3 kids, and soon to be married!

I recently stopped at this store to get a few items I needed. I shop at this store maybe 1-3 times a month, today as i'm shopping, i'm down the body soap aisle looking for something cheap that I may like since I can't afford dove bar soap - what I usually get... Mind me - I do talk to myself a lot, no matter where i'm at or who i'm with!
Talking to myself sometimes helps me remember things. I know i'm not the only one to do this!
I hear 2 employees throwing slangs towards me, I saw the black woman - (no name) because she did not have a name tag on pointing at me, throwing her hands up so that the other associate standing not even 5 feet from me could catch on I guess? So the white woman whose name I also can't say because I also did not see a name tag on her either standing 5 feet from me (can see everything i'm doing) blurts out "you can hear her before you see her" - which I knew was referred to me bc I realized it was really all eyes on me! Right then and there I just stopped - I didn't know how to feel at all but discriminated / judged for a person that i'm 100% not and have neverrr been! Is it because of the tattoos? Is it because I was speaking to myself trying to figure out what soap I wanted to get? Is it because i'm a thick woman? Discrimination, judgement, embarrassment is all I could feel! But that wasn't all I was also harassed - I got to the register to check out my items in my arm basket & the white woman - no name that made me feel like a child ask me what I had inside my purse! - i'm not the person that knows everyy law - I started taking things out my purse - almost everything out clearly to prove I didn't go in there to steal $1 items... Part of me just wanted to leave everything at the register and walk out, but I needed everything I went in there for and didn't have time to go anywhere else because of the rain and my sick kids at home. The woman rang everything up and I gave her the money - my items - a baby bottle $1, koolaid (6pk) juices $1, faygo cola $1, dial soap $1, gallon of milk $4.35, luvs diapers size 4 $7.25 - all adds up to $15.60 without tax... On my receipt the cashier no name because no name tag - the black woman - rang up the koolaid 6pk twice, my soap, the bottle, the cola, the milk but forgot the diapers!
These family dollar workers at store # 11822 were sooo caught up thinking I was shoplifting and discriminating, judging and harassing me she forgot to ring up the most expensive item in my basket! - I didn't realize until I got home and thought to myself I just got everything super cheap, so I looked at my receipt and sure enough no diapers on there!
As i'm explaining to my soon to be husband what just happened to me at the store i'm thinking to myself none of this was right today! & the corporate office needs to be notified! Because something will be done about this & I will nottt stop bothering y'all until something is done! I was just discriminated, judged, harassed, made embarrassed, in front of other customers that probably started judging me just off of what they saw happen in so little time.. At a store I felt comfortable in that I shop at once or twice every month for different items. I'm not saying these associates need to be fired or whatever, but I believe I deserve better service now and in the future! I'm completely furious at what has happened and how I was looked at for someone I am 100% not! I'm a independent, responsible, grown woman for the age of 24 - 3 kids, soon to be husband who is also the biological father of all 3 of my children, own house, own car, & certainly wouldn't steal items for $1! - to have to pay a $500 fine for a dollarrrr item (one dollar)! I wouldn't steal anything at all! Never did & never have I planned on it!
Something needs to be done at this store & for my favor veryyy soon or it will be taken soooo much further real soon!

The louisiana employment discrimination law makes it illegal for an employer to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, age, sickle cell trait, pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions.

I would definitely appreciate hearing something from you soon, so that we can figure out what to do about this!

Family Dollar store

The family Dollar located 9468 Linwood Ave Shreveport LA 71106 is nasty, junky and dangerous! Boxes are everywhere! The items are not on the shelf and on 10/28/19 I almost fell over a box and when I informed the employee all he said was Oh ok! This is real bad customer service! If you would like I can take pictures for you of the store. This store needs attention immediately! Not only you have to wait for someone to come to the register but they have music blasting with profanity playing! I love family dollar and the deals but this location is just pure hell. I can see a lawsuit coming because of the way this store is set up!

My name is Elaine Taylor I worked at Family Dollar in September but. Because of a heart attack I could not return to work. However I have begged and begged my manager to please give me my money that I worked for.
Each time I call it's the same excuse. Iam so fustrated that a manager would allow this to happen. My next step is to contact a Attorney because although the money is a small amount its mine

Family Dollar store is not stocked properly

The store is poorly stocked. There are a lot of empty shelf's especially the water and soda. Most of the time I go there to buy anything I have to go to another store because the shelf is empty. Also, a lot of the packaging is destroyed or dirty. The $1 box of honeybuns were all smashed, the juice jugs were all smashed, the pop cartons were filthy and falling apart.

Family Dollar an employee dayna white

As i entered the store another customer approached me stating that Dayna White was just showing a couple of girls and a man a video of my 13 year old daughter that inappropriate. Then stated that she was laughing and sending it to other adults. I was so disgusted by this that i literally became sick and went to my car. I then seen her come outside and started smoking weed. I didn't say anything because if this is the type of nasty and high people you hire then you'll never get my business again. Something needs to be done or I will be contacting my lawyer in reference to child pornography going on at your store as well as the DEA for drug activity.

Family Dollar everything

The store was a disaster on Saturday the 26th! Starts when me & my son step in the store, not one cart was available for customer use, and I went there to buy heavy bottles of bleach, ect... Then the clearance area is just a pile of crap, and if you take the time to dig you find most things are Not priced at all. I found 2 items I thought were worth buying, both being priced at.50 cents each. I'm walking through the store arms full & seeing where all the carts are, the employees are using them for inventory. With arms full, wanting to shop more, but one of the clearance items was a spray that was leaking down my arm. So off to check out. Watching closley to see I got the clearance prices, sure enough, they rung up full price. One item was a small note book, with a grease stain on the back cardboard, and the cashier tells me the original price was $2.? so no way was it.50 cents & the leaking spray cleaner? Originally $4.? so again no clearance. Needless to say, it was the worst Family Dollar Store experience I've ever encountered, and not sure I will be back anytime soon, at least not the Penn Ave Store. This is not my first complaint of this store, and the way things have been looks like it won't be the last.

Family Dollar caramel m&m's

I purchased a bag of Caramel M &M's and could not believe that they were so badly crushed and broken. I buy at least 6 to 8 bags a week, I love them, I was extremely upset and you should know that it's a reflection on your company that this establishment would sell them like this. I took photos of the candy and the receipt from where I purchased them. I obviously will not eat this bag, I am definitely throwing them in the trash.

Family Dollar cigarettes

I spend at least $100/week if not more in my neighborhood Family Dollar. I have been showing the same 2 women my TDL daily for the past year, and the neesrt employee for the past several months. I went in yesterday and realized I didnt have my wallet. She flat out refused to sell them to me. I asked her to ask the other lady named Wendy. Wendy also would not sell them to me. By now these women should know my DOB by heart. I'm about to be 54. I purchase cigs from them daily. Common sense, if you sold me cigs yesterday and u can see I'm of age, why would you lose a great customer. Dollar General and Foodarama jus gained a wonderful customer. I will not go in Family Dollar anymore. These women could have used more discretion, common sense, and kindness.
