On November 11th 2025 I arrived at Richmond International Airport in Virginia to pick up a rental car from Dollar Rent a Car located inside the airport. I had prepaid for the reservation. The lady that was working the desk was very rude to me and my significant other. I then pulled out my drivers license and credit card. My drivers license had a small bite mark on the top right corner from my puppy. All information on the card was LEGIBLE. The woman refused to enter my identification manually and proceeded to be rude and inconsiderate. I finally had had enough of her ignorant and nasty demeanor and walked to AVIS car rental. They took my license with no problem and I got a rental car. I have sent a request for a refund to Dollar Car Rental. Due to this employees terrible customer service, inexcusable behavior, and unwillingness to assist in any way possible I will never book a rental through Dollar again. I strongly suggest that all individuals looking for customer service or the willingness from an employee to do their job to not rent from Dollar Rental Car.
Recommendation: DO NOT RENT FROM DOLLAR CAR RENTAL
Excuse me she was extremely rude and had a nasty attitude. I have it on camera. She is an old lady who could care less about customers receiving proper service. Don't tell me that she wasn't rude, I was the one there not you. Thanks for your input but you are out line for accusing me of making false accusations. I am calling corporate anyway so your opinion is not important to me. I just want my money back. AND YES very disrespectful and a disgrace to DOLLAR Rental Car. I can take a lot. But she is an employee and the customers are paying her salary. Get with the times blcye. I live in Houston, TX and we don't put up with trash like that.
Refusal of service is NOT the SAME as RUDE.
