manager
My husband went to our near DG store # [protected] Hwy 701 N Elizabethtown, Northcarolina 28337 with my daughter to go see if he can catch the Glitch of the Dog food but it was gone . So he walked out of DG to his car and the manager chases him telling him of where he put the ear buds at, his pocket? To put them back ! He said excuse me ma'am what are you talking about ? (My daughter had grabbed a pair of ear buds to pay if they found the dog food deal ) He said we put them back, you have cameras check, And if i would steal something certainly wouldnt be for $3 ear buds "my daughter said no we put them back and walked inside the store to show her where they put at and the lady was Racial and rude and even said "we dont know with your kind " with a attitude!
As a Former Manager myself i don't think thats a Way to treat a customer, and of course not when there are small children's around. I think there was a better way to address the situation. I don't think that was the way to come at us WITHOUT PROOF OR ATLEAST SHOULD HAVE MADE SURE ABOUT HER ACCUSATIONS and it is unacceptable for RACIAL CALLING.
How did i pull out the racist card? when she was the one that said "YOU NEVER KNOW WITH YOUR KIND" What was that suppose to mean? Isn't that being racial? Or am i wrong?
What you mean i played the race card? Wusnt she the racist when she said " YOUR KIND"? Or am i wrong?
merchandise
i am complaining about the dollar general in toomsuba, ms. it is the most disorganized D.G. I have ever been in. hardly anything gets put out, they have baskets piled with all kinds of goods. the isles are cluttered so you can't walk thru, they have plenty of products, but it doesn't get put on shelves. the staff has a big turnover, it seems whenever they get someone that actually gets things done, they never last. I was there 2 days ago and one of the guys was outside on his ph. the other was standing behind the counter. I live here and was so happy to get this store, but I can never find what I need.
debit card machine/store issues
Your store on Washington Avenue/40th Street In Holland, Michigan ALWAYS has their debit/credit machine inactive.
I fear that with cash only transactions there might be some cash theft by employees going on at that store.
This past weekend I also observed one of your employees kissing their significant other near the entrance while the employee was working behind the counter.
The store at times in the past has also been closed and doors locked during regular business hours with a sign in the window stating that they were closed due to "unforeseen circumstances".
Not sure what's going on at this location but please look into it as you are losing customers each time these incidents occur.
Thank You.
violent and disrespectful worker
On Sat Aug, 4 I went into your store number #01801 around 9:30 p.m. a black female worker followed me and my husband around the store. When I asked why we were being followed because we didnt have anything she became loud violent and disrectpectful she tried to kick us out the store and told the other worker to not check us out all the other customers where staring and looking at her as she went back and forward with me when I told her I was gone report her to corporate and the general manager she went on yelling she will call herself and refused to give me her name I do apologize for the inconvenience but I know that is not a person we want working in our community.
On August 1, 2018 - I visited Dollar General in Grayville IL on Route 1...
I explined the situation that I travel through the area about once a year. In fact, my last purchase was Sept, 2017 for 4 separate items of sports wear. Once arriving home to Indianapolis IN, I noticed the cashier failed to remove one of the "ink security devices" from my shirt. However, all other original DG discriptions/inventory tags were still attched to the garment on Aug 1, 2018.
The manager of the store keep insisting it was against their policy to remove anything without a receipt...
I accepteed this as their policy - however, I explained since I only frequent the area once a year could she please remove the device so I could wear my garment...Immediately, she shoved the garment back to me and said,
"she did not have to remove anything...and she did not have to wait on me" ! ...
By this time, I became so angered I grabbed my shirt and hit the counter and "screemed"...because that clerk refuse to:
1.) treat me as a customer with respect...as the customer is always right
2.) she also talked to me like I was a low life person ...and in front of my grandson
By this time my sister entered th store for her peronsal shopping...
then all of a sudden ... the manager told us (2 adults and 1 minor) to get out of the store...and she was calling the police...
I informed her I would be calling their corporate office to report her for her "nasty attitude toward me as a customer"
...as a matter of fact, I never asked for a refund of any sort ... I only requested her to remove the ink tag...because of their failure/oversight at time of my purchase.
In summary, This is America...and we will no longer tolorate this type of behavior ...
from the public, private citizens or total strangers!
Dollar General please review your Customer Service Policy...and train/sensitivity classes/workshops for your staff on how to treat people ... for we are a diversed society and this attitude will no longer be tolerated !
Thank you,
Angry customer traveling through Grayville Illinois...
waa waa waa stop crying like a little 2 year old just because you didn't get your way. Without a receipt, how did they actually know you bought that shirt.
P.S. Customers aren't always right!
That's part of their job. If you don't like it, shop elsewhere.
cashier named mikyla
Sorriest employee I've ever seen in there. So lazy she wouldn't even put my bleach in a bag. Last time it was a complete put out for her to walk 6 feet and get cigarettes out of the storage container and heaven forbid you ask her to check the top of it for your brand Incase they're out on the storage containers shelf. Yesterday it was her being mad bc she had to check people out. Why in the hell are you working there if you get mad you have to check people out? Customer service from her is awful. Find a new replacement before you lose your customers to Family Dollar across the street.
...
As a dollar general employee were trained not to bag bulk items or items with handles. You seem to be the lazy one if you cant even use the handle on the bleach which is better than the bag since they often break. And losing a customer like you seems better for her since you sound like you act like this often to people.
horrible manager
Store # 482 in lawrenceville Illinois is the absolute worse! This is the 2nd time I've came in and been treated like crap by the manager! Today there were signs all over about bottle mtdew on sale so I grabbed 10. Well the sale didn't come off so she checked and said actually it ended yesterday. So I told her that's ok but dang next time the signs should be taken down and she flipped and started yelling at me while my kids were there about how horrible her morning was and how she just do t have time to do that. It was so rude and embarrassing I'm never going back. Judging by the reviews this lady is a big problem at this store. Something should be done about this.
Somebody from corporate signs her paycheck. Not you. So she doesn't have to do what you tell her.
trashy manager/store/ and employees.
The Dollar General store @ 615 W.2nd Ave is stocked to the ceiling with boxes. I almost fall every time I go in there because stock is not put away. I am partially blind, and if I DO FALL, you're going to have a whole new set of problems. The manager Tina does nothing. Nothing but walk around, smack gum, and talk like trash. She's COMPLETELY unprofessional She never says hello or thank you. She seems completely put out by even being there. I can't even walk around the store without her following me with her hands in her hips. THIS IS A TASHY STORE WITH TRASHY EMPLOYYEES. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Let her accuse me of something like stealing, when I know damn good and well I wouldn't. I will sue.
Sounds like you're planning on staging a fall. You won't get anything sadly waa waa
loose cans of alpo dog food.
My husband is a good Christian hearted man that loves to shop at DG. He is 83 years old and we shop @ DG, Where ever we R. In Valdosta, Naylor, Waycross, Homerville, Blackshear & Patterson, Ga. My point is we give DG a lot of our Sr. $$$$. We love to shop at DG. This store that I am complaining about is the Store on 1902 S. Georgia Parkway W. - Waycross, Ga.
My husband ALWAYS BUY OUR PET, BLAKE'S FEED, IN DG in Waycross, Ga. Sometimes in Homerville, Ga.
He went today to buy the reg. 10 cans of Alpo Dog Food with the Gravy. He got up to the register to pay for the dog food & a loaf of Bread and they REFUSED TO SELL HIM THE 10 LOOSE CANS OF DOG FEED! WE HAVE BOUGHT IT loose cause we like the kind that has the gravy and it is easy to mix with a half scoop of dry dog feed for our pet. They refused to sell my husband the cans he has selected and made him go back and buy a "6-pack" that was wrapped all together! My husband was so aggravated when he got in the car..We can afford to buy our own food and we buy for our pet. but, My husband said after today, he was going to Family Dollar and take his business. The 6 pack that he got was more expensive that the loose cans he always buys. He buys 10 at the time because we lives 20 miles away from Waycross and 12 miles away from Homerville. We are so upset about this. We have looked in DG for the DG brand of Rice Krispies and have yet to find them in our local Waycross Store. Finally found some in the Naylor DG store. We R upset with Dollar General!
cleanliness
1360 Route 5 Silver Creek is dirty inside and out. Management/ Supervisors need to go see for themselves, you will be appalled at the state of this store. The outside windows were just gross as the whole store is also. The floors are so dirty and never swept. Only saw 1 employee in the store. went in for a soda and will never go in that store again, disgusting is putting it nicely!
employees
I shop at store on fair ave 78210 in San Antonio This store is fairly new and there are 2 employees that work only a few days a week. Don't know the names but it's an older white lady fat and short has a loud mouth and another older man white with glasses that was stocking at Time always stares at me through every aisle and lady has seen me before I took my puppy in with me Nd has him in my hands He's is a chiweenie and instead of smiling at me and saying no dogs allowed she comments to another employee ina very ugly tone "Is there a sign on door no dogs allowed ?" The other employee says "no" and she says "well we need one. Only service dogs " find I have my service dog card " that's just rude !
Then this morning those Same 2 employees were working did the Same thing. Lady made it so obvious staring at me like I'm going to steal. And when I say that it's because she wakes through every isle I walked and started at me waiting on customers and the customer she was waiting on turned to see what she was looking at. Real embarrassing so I went down a couple more aisle to see if maybe I was just thinking that and was wrong and went to $1 section where the man with glasses just stood staring at like to hurry up and I asked him if there was anything I could help him with and he said very rude "I'm working down this area " ok so I moved to next I Aisle and people in line but she wasn't at register And stop at end of aisle so damn obvious that is why she was staring at me so I got upset and threw my things on the pack of sodas right next to her and said " I don't know what the [censored] u staring at but I not want anything " and very quick she told me not go back anymore ! That is rude and upsetting and to tell me not to come back is ugly Nd if she is manager then u need to take look her closely. She is ugly rude and should get another job if she doesn't like the one she has and same goes for dude with glasses ! He followed me outside to see what I was driving I guess. I looked like I just woke up I was buying coffee and deodorant just got paid yesterday and I drive a BMW I had no intentions of stealing and I live 2 blocks from there and I love this stor cause they have everything fresh but if I can't go to store that is ridiculous. There is one manager a black guy who is the coolest of them all and I see him almost every time I go buy those 2 employees need to learn how to really spot a shoplifter. They had videos on YouTube and just because a person is not dressed right can still have money and drive a BMW and I think they are terrible at their jobs. Send those [censored]es to another store. They are ugly and rude and unprofessional!
You're obviously up to no good with intent of stealing or you wouldn't be acting like that towards those employees. JS.
cockroaches
Dollar general in flatlick kentucky has Cockroaches. I know an employee who works there and every time she goes to work she comes home and wakes up the next morning to find 2-6 cock roaches in the area of her home which her purse is laying. She stopped taking her purse in and now only sees 2-3 in the mornings. She has even told me she sees them in the break room and sometimes in the store it's self. She is scared to report it Bc she's anew employee but she is even more scared of her home being taken over by uninvited guests.
They have a terminix guy that sprays these stores regularly. Sounds like you're trolling to me.
poor store management, constant empty shelves, lazy store manager
Store manager is lazy and takes off whenever he wants. He left store early today when I was in store as a customer 2+ hours early to go play "Fiesta Bingo". While 1/4 of the store shelves remain empty, and STOCK is NOT PUT AWAY and the 1 lone cashier upfront is left to do all of the work while lines backup and customers complain. This is routine for the Tucumcari store. Not only should the store manager be absolutely fired, but the district store manager as well as he knows of the stores constant problems and does nothing. Store has revolving door of BAD MANAGEMENT with the current being the worst likely in the stores history. Corporate needs to act!
assistant manager name john
John an assistant manager at Rochelle Ga DG
Is very unprofessional, he talks down to the employees like they're beneath him. I've been in there numerous times and I can see that's it's him and another employee whom is stocking the shelves because a truck came in! Customers are waiting to be checked out and he calls the employee to the register while he pretends to sweep the curb while smoking !
John isn't the cashier. He's the assistant. It's not his job to run the register if there's a cashier there.
store is so hot. it is miserable to shop.
I love the employees at 9613 dayton pike in Soddy Daisy, Tn. But the store is miserable hot. I've been in there several time and heard other customers complain also. Have to cut shopping trip short due to temperature in store. Employees were beat red and sweating like crazy. It's in human. And the mold and mildew in the store and the back room is really unhealthy. I don't see how they keep the 2 or 3 good people that have been there over 2 years. Health dept. would shut that place down. Please make this store better for your faithful employees at customers. sincerely. very concerned customer
employee
Morgan Nephew was extremely rude and unprofessional to me during a recent visit to this store. She complained my body spray/cologne was stinky and was aggravating her asthma. She told me I stunk, and to grab my bag and get out of the store. I again had another bad experience with this same associate today. Only this time it was in front of other customers.
Sounds like you're the one trying to cause trouble.
Dollar General - Heartland farms dog food/customer service
I went in to purchase a bag of dog food (Heartland farms tender and crunchy beef n bacon bits). There was only one bag and it was open at one of the corners of the bag. This is the only kind of dog food my dog likes. Also this is not the first time this has happened to me. The last time it happened the lady who was checking me out gave me half off the price...

I'M an regular everyday dollar general shopper and usually I never have a complaint but, here lately my experience has been terrible at the end of a check out you get coupons for your next purchase on certain days if you purchase 25 dollars or more you get 5 dollars off your purchase but, every time that I have tried to use the coupons it doesn't take of the 5 dollars. So here lately I feel like dollar general is just taking my five extra five dollars making a profit off me and my family because I haven't yet to receive 5 dollars off anything. I'm am sorry to announce there will be no more dollar general for me nor my family unless this issue is fixed i'm a citizen that buys a lot at dollar general and here lately I feel like there stealing from me.
Try using your $5 off coupon on a Saturday after you spend $25 before tax.
false ads
Your stores don't have to honor circular ads that you put in paper the cashier says they don't honor your circular only digital coupons this is false advertisement very misleading they say they use another ad circular for their store just wasted money that could be used else where the store # is 15962 the cashier was nice and respectful but it did not help the false advertisement
Thanks for listening
service
Let me start by saying that all of the employees except for one are friendly and professional. One girl that works there her name is Jodie is rude everytime I come in there. When I buy cigarettes she bends my id in half and says I'm going to have to get a new id. Well I went through customs twice that day after my cruise and customs didn't have a problem with it. Then today I go there and she is rude and says o ur back again. I avoid this store when I know she is working because honestly I don't want to go to jail. I have met some rude plp in my life but she tops the cake. This is not ok with me and something needs to be done. I have talked to mangers there and nothing so maybe you can help me. Thank u
You apparently didn't know she was working or you would have avoided shopping there. JS.
the store could not accept debit card!
Store 3466 in springdale arkansas has been begging for software update on credit card machines! It is totally to not be able to buy what I want and pay for it debit out of my account. Debit credit anything you should shut your doors for business it is a shame that you have lost the business of me and many others in our neighborhood because of lack of communication with the store in the machine updates I am going to give you a yelp star number one because the satisfactory of your business sucks!
