I have had direct TV now for about three months and have had one problem after another. I had initially switched from cable to DirectTV because I thought that their high definition service would be superior. Big mistake. Since the time of install I have been through 4 high definition receivers, each one failing for a different reason. When your service goes out with DirectTV your only option is to wait for a replacement box or for a service tech which in my case has taken close to a week each time. My service has been so spotty that I have had to retain my cable so that I have a backup. Talk about spending too much for T.V. service. Now that my experience with these buffoons has soured to the point it has i decided that i had had enough. Unfortunately their two year contract insulates them from having to provide any level of acceptable service at all. Even though my experience has been a nightmare and I have spent countless valuable hours trying to resolve issues they will not offer to terminate my contract no matter how many times I have requested this. I am currently without any service again and I have decided that I am going to bite the bullet and pay the termination fee. I am not litigious person but have considered taking these bullies to court. I can't imagine that I am the only person that has had these issues. I would avoid doing business with this company at all cost. I wish good luck to all those that are in the same boat as me.

Direct TV is holding my final payment to them for 40 days before they send me the credit I am owed. I cancelled them because of the worst customer service I'd ever experienced and this is the icing on the cake. The payment to them has been out of my checking account for 3 weeks already while sit and collect interest as a huge corporation on money they owe me. Is this insane or not?

My Daughter was living at my house. She had Direct TV while living there, but then moved to to another state. She called Direct TV to move her service, which they did. But they would not remove the satellite dish from my house. They told my Daughter that she needed to remove it. It this right? Has anyone else had this problem?

Direct TV unfairly discriminates against Russian speaking citizens of USA. I am personally offended by Direct TV commercials. What is worse, Direct TV promotes and supports hate against Russian speaking population. There are a lot of posts online where people quote Direct TV commercials. I suggest to boycott DIrect TV until they stop being racist . Your commercials not funny if they target my place of origin. STOP DISCRIMINATION!

I called to cancel services and asked how to send my receivers in. A month later and still no boxes had been sent. DTV drafted $417 from my checking account without warning. Days later I received my shipping boxes to send the equipment back in and I did that. They have had the equipment back for a week and are telling me because the account is closed they can't process a credit for 6-8 weeks!

I cancelled my Direct TV service in January. I paid my final statement and sent my receiver's back, they got them and everything was fine. Out of the blue without my knowledge they charged my bank account $107. When I called they told me that charge was from movies that were downloaded 8 years ago in 2002. They said they scanned my access card and the movies were on it so I am responsible for the charges. Come on, 8 years, really.

Your receiving modum has apparently failed as there in no longer a blue light as in the past. After 5 days of trying to contact you through1-[protected], I have not received a single word of response!

If you no longer provide service for your customers, kindly notify me of such and I shall seek help from other sources! We are both 86 years of age and television is our constant contact with the outside world. Please help us now!

the first year was ok except a little rain knocks out the tv. the first month into the second year, my bill jumped up $29.00 i payed my bill on time every time and the only thing they will do for their loyal customers is to down grade your package. how nice. and when confronted they hang up on you. How mature and professional. NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE

Channel browsing after getting direct tv installed again.. No channel g4 anymore... I mean really? Why would they NOT have such a basic channel? I mean may as well get rid of comedy central or TNT .. After all who would want basic channels in their service anyways ? Really direct tv? Think of your customers and get it back!

Direct TV has managed to cancel the station FOX coverage of the NFL playoffs with the statement 'that they cannot come to terms with the station' yet they keep the station numbers and programs listed - will be most interesting if they come to terms after Feb. 6th The Super Bowl. Meanwhile they continue to phone and mail advertising to subscribe to the NFL stations!

I have never had an account with Direct TV. for the past year they have been calling me at least twice a week, never leaving a message. when I call back they ask for the name on the account. I tell them we have no account, they swear they will change it, all set and then it starts again. registered with the do not call list, made two complaints, and still three calls in two days. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH DIRECT TV EVER!

Half the time I try to change the channel on the DVR it doesn't change. I try and fast forward through commercials on the DVR and it just keeps going and going. I have had it replaced every 3 to 6 months for the last 3 years and always the same story. All the other receivers work just fine, only the DVR seems to do this.

Direct TV offered the service and hooked me into a contract for two years saying if I moved and the service was not able to be transferred I would not have to pay the cancellation fee. That is a scam, they will charge it and do all in their power, lies and lies to rob, steal f rom you. I WILL NEVER EVER USE DIRECT TV IN MY LIFE AND WILL DO ALL I CAN FOR MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO ALSO NOT GET THIS SERVICE! THEY ARE A COMPANY OF SCAM AFTER SCAM.

Direct TV told me they were the top satelite provider. I asked specificly about specific channels and they said they had them. Today the dropped one of my favorite channels G4. DTV is not the best provide, Dish Network is! I had Dish Network for 5 years. I won't ever use Direct TV again. False advertising, misleading sales pitches.

Direct TV is a horrible company - they have consecutively double billed me in addition when I send my monthly amount of 45.00 in for payment they add $100.00 therefore charging me $145.00. They do not cooperate, assist nor do they apologize for this double billing. My bank is assisting me by trying to cancel the checks. Unfortunately, Direct TV is very fast and always gets the money out quick. They rip people off.

Do not sign up for this service. I like many of the others was given a price for monthly service and when the first billing came it was twice what I was quoted. When you call to get this corrected they try to sell you what you didn't want in the first place. Then when you try to cancel the charge you all these additional fees. This is a company you should stay away from.

HAD APPT TODAY BETWEEN 8-12 THEY CALLED IF THEY COME AFTER 1-1.30 I SAID FINE.

THEN THEY CALL TO RESCHEDULE FOR 28TH.

AGAIN THEY CALLED TO RESCHEDULE FOR 29TH.

I CANCELLED THE ORDER.

THEY EXPECT PEOPLE TO SIT AT HOME & THEY HAVE NO VALUE FOR PEOPLES TIME.

WHT CAN YOU EXPECT IN FUTURE.

on oCT. 19, 2010, i had two tech to come to my house to do and upgrade from a standard box to a dvr reciever...the tech put two addtiional holes in my wall. They didn't have the corret equipment that they needed to complete the job, i had to provide them with my materials that my husband and i purchased, with our own money.

We ordered nfl ticket and did not receive pat. and cin. game on 9/12/10. They said it was blacked out but we live in Woodburn, IN! Why would it be blacked out for us? This is a rip off ! We cannot cancel and get a refund if the game we want to watch is canceled. We called and talked to a manager and got no where fast with him.

Loyal 10 year customer is very upset with their decision to change music source from XM to Sonic Crap. Line up in not at all comparable, song selections are not current and the options are just terrible. I've complained several times to their customer service dept. No listening skills just tell me to write the president of the company. Insanity!

They added HD to my bill that we never ordered and refused to take it off. When we signed up for Direct TV they told us one price for the two year contract, now our bill is almost triple. I would NOT order from Direct TV if I were you. The refer a friend is a lie. It's been months and we have never recieved anything. STAY AWAY FROM DIRECT TV!

Direct tv is a company that has absolutely no business ethic. they billed me for a contract i did not sign, over the phone, i was told one year and they will not provide me with documentation that it was two years. they damaged my speakers, and disturbed items in my house and let it that way. when i call there number they state they do not know who came to my house and have no way to find out that information.

Well i am a disabled customer of direct tv and they go in and take $1001 out of my checkin account without my permission and dats da only income i get for the whole month and like i pay the bill of $234 and i still dont get my 759 rebate they talkin bout it will take up yo 30 days i cant wait no 30 days cause i cant wait on my bills for that month cause i have medical bill and buy meds and i cant do anything without my money...

All I can say is that I hate Direct TV. There is so much wrong with them that it would take me years to describe everything. What I an tell you is that I have been a customer since 2004 and I am constantly getting treated so rudely that I cannot stand to call them with any type of problem. I have heard that Dish Network is just as bad so if you want television you have to put up with bull crap.

Plain and simple they are thieves and awefull service. After they get you to commit to contract they charge for every little thing. It is too long to get into it but TRUST ME I wouldn't ever order DIRECTV again even if I was a millionare. That is why they have to get you to commit for 2 years. PEOPLE BEWARE of DIRECTV

We ordered a hd dvr receiver to be installed with direct tv. We only got the hd receiver not the dvr and we did not realize the mistake until the installer had left. We called Direct and they want 283.00 by credit card to send another receiver even though it was their mistake. They said they would then apply credit to the account for this amount but they would not credit the card for this amount. We think we were ripped off what do you think?

I just switched over form one heaadacahe to another. Happened to sign up with the promo that DirectTV had and everything went haywire after that. TV was installed/no internet. Took me 6-7 hours trying to find somebody that could give me a reasonable answer. Final Answer: "We will have somebody call you in the next 24 hrs.

in june of 2009 i had called and ordered direct tv..i was told on the phone that i would pa 39.99 for a year...i had called them to find out which day in june of 2010 i can cancel because i was not satisfied with them..they informed me that i had a two year contract which i never signed. and that if i was to cancel i would have to pay 20.00 a month for the remainder of the two years..this is false advertising that they did...

Direct TV charged my credit card $238. when I cancelled service after 6 months. I disputed it on my Discover card and was credited the money. Yesterday I got a bill from Direct TV for $238. They reversed the credit card bill. I never signed an 18 month contract and this company is committing fraud. They need to be stopped. I will do what I can to remedy this.

Reckless damage to our house. Even worse is the posturing of the "claims officials" of Direct TV . All we are insisting on is licensed and bonded referrenced contractors to give estimates. What are you hiding Direct TV? Reckless installers!Arrogant Big Lake Manager says that the gouges in our knock down textured cathedral wall that contains surround sound speakers, can just be buffed out!

My Father is 89 years of age and I needed to place him in a 24 hr care facility. He also has dementia and can not stay alone. I called to cancel the service and was told that it was a 18 month contract. I was changed $80 for canceling the service 4 months early.I was told that even if he died I would be responsible for the eary termination fee.

While watching the Seattle Mariner's on FSN (FoxNorthWestNetwok), we experence at least three to four commerical breaks during the middle of an inning and even between pitches while a batter is in the box. This occurs every game, if this is not resolved we will change back to ComCast. It has allready occured during tonights game three times and we are only in the 5th inning.

Just got my dish and had it hooked up and found that they cannot change my billing date . All i asked if they can change from the 7 of the mounth to the 18 of the mounth they said no. So i told them to shut it down. Then they tell me i would be billed for eary release i just had it instaled on the15 to the18 thats worng for them to do that.

I was sold Direct TV at Costco. The sales person said install was free. When the installer ran the cable around the side of the house to the junction box, he said I would either have to pay him $50 to bury it or do it myself. (approx 90 ft) I'm still trying to get my money back but they have already dinged my credit card.

Canceled our service because we moved. Was told to UPS receivers back to Direct TV, which we did. That was OVER A YEAR AGO!
Now my wife and I are getting hounded by a collection agency saying we owe them money for the un-returned receivers. So now we have to dig through all of our stuff that is in storage and find the tracking number for the ups stuff. Why did the not contact us after a month or 2? A year you have to be kidding me!

Service man refussed to tranfer call to higher up and made comment that, "you americans are all alike." I am trying to get my service terminated from suspension sense moving to another area. I had paid my bill in full, or so I was told. He was telling me that I still owed a large amount even though I was getting statements that I had a credit coming to me. I wanted to speak to someone else and he refused.

The installer drilled through a wall and cut house wiring cable. The supervisor came and said he can fix it by splicing it back together. I said "No, that illegile, therefore the whole wire needs to be replaced back to each box. Then she said that their insurance will not cover that. If I wanted to, get an an enstiment and summit to their office. Meantime we have not power in 3 rooms. Not even where the tv is installed. What is my rights?

the sales rep omitted some pertinent facts about the contract.The company and the employees are unethical and believe they can continue their practices because of their size.It was my reponsibility to have done more due diligence prior to the agreement, shame on me.Now its my responsibility to inform each and every person about this criminal organization.
