My daughter ordered a bridesmaid dress for a friends wedding and paid for her purchase with a credit card. The bride then postponed/canceled the wedding. We were given a non-expiring store credit because it was not their policy to give credit back to the credit card. I explained I would prefer credit back to my card because we wouldn’t be using the credit in the near future. I was assured the card could be used at any store with no expiration date.
We recently tried to use the store credit and were told the funds had been depleted and would no longer be honored. They refused to extend the store credit and said there was nothing they could do. I asked if it was their policy to extend non expiring store credit and change their minds without notice. I would not recommend David’s Bridal to anyone. The store staff was rude, including the manager. I received the same response from corporate even though I had the original receipt and the store credit receipt along with the gift card the refund was issued on.
The system required a minimum 1 star rating but I would actually give them a negative rating. I will never shop at their store again.
Recommendation: Shop anywhere but David’s Bridal!
NO is NOT the SAME as RUDE. GROW UP.
They promised you non-expiring store credit, then pulled a vanishing act and pretended like your balance never existed — that’s not a policy shift, that’s theft with a smile. You came with receipts, did everything right, and they still told you “too bad.” You’re not being unreasonable — they’re just being shameless. Forget their dresses — they don’t deserve a dime or a second chance.
