I signed up for a membership with Crunch January 30th. I had switched from GoodLife as I was under the impression that Crunch would be better value. Unfortunately since signing up I have gone to the gym twice due to medical reasons and a recent surgery. In March I moved out of the province for school, which is when I initially called to cancel my membership. This was never done. When I went to delete the app I noticed that it stated on my account that I had an outstanding balance of $171 dollars. I called again in April to cancel my membership, it was confirmed that my membership was not cancelled and that it was not possible unless I came in to sign paperwork. I let them know that would not be possible as I moved out of province and switched banks. They explained that the payments for March and April never came out and that there were two fees for the transaction declining on top of an annual fee that I was unaware of. I dont like to owe money as I just moved out of province and am going back to school. despite being unaware of the annual fee I was willing to give my bank information to settle the amount due. I explained my situation and I was assured I would not be charged the additional fees. I double confirmed that I would not be charged for those fees before I gave my banking information. When I checked my bank statement I was in fact charged the FULL amount. I have called twice now. I called on Wednesday at 8:00am, re-explained my situation and was told I would receive a call from the manager around 11:30, but never got a call. Called today at 8:00am and was told the manager was aware of the situation and that I would receive a call, still yet to receive a call. I have attached a screenshot of my bank statement with the $171 charge on April 24th and a screenshot of my Crunch Fitness Statement that shows I was charged $81 on April 24th. This statement is FALSIFIED and does not reflect what I was charged. As a student who just moved out of province I should not have to follow up more than once for your error, let alone 4 times. I would like this to be taken seriously and for my inconvenience, issued an immediate refund as my membership should have been cancelled in March when I initially called.

You should be including the annual fee in the membership plans that you "lay out" on the website, NOT suddenly added at checkout. I regret getting a membership at crunch, my boyfriend, best friend and co workers have all cancelled their memberships and I will not be recommending crunch to anyone going forward.
