So, I was browsing fastweb.com and came across this site called Course Hero (coursehero.com). They were offering a $5000 scholarship for uploading 10 documents. I thought, "Wow, this is my chance to get some financial help for my studies!" I spent an hour editing and uploading my essays and presentations, hoping to get that scholarship money.

But then, on the 9th document, something strange happened. The page just kept loading and loading and loading... I started to get suspicious and decided to read the fine print. That's when I found out that Course Hero was going to sell my work to other people without my permission! I was shocked and angry. I had spent hours and hours working on those documents, and now they were going to profit from my hard work without giving me anything in return.

I should have known better, but I'm a single mom of two and a full-time student. I lost my job and don't qualify for unemployment, so I'm desperate for any kind of financial help. I wasted four hours of my life on this scammy "scholarship" and gave away my best work to an unethical company.

To make matters worse, I tried to delete two of the documents I had uploaded, but Course Hero wouldn't let me. They said, "Sorry, can't be deleted." How is that even possible? I had just uploaded those documents in the past hour, and now I can't take them down?

I decided to do some research and looked up Course Hero on the Better Business Bureau website. I found out that they have a lot of complaints against them for unethical business practices. I also found out that other scholarship websites I had applied to were also scams.

I feel stupid and frustrated for falling for these scams. I wasted so much time and effort on something that was never going to help me. I just hope that other people don't make the same mistake I did. Don't trust these scholarship websites that promise you money for uploading your work. It's not worth it.

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Course Hero. I signed up to be a tutor, but pretty soon I got hit with a violation for no reason at all. And it wasn't just me - lots of other tutors I talked to had the same thing happen to them. The support team was no help either - they just kept giving me warnings and putting me on probation. And if you get too many violations, even if they're not your fault, they'll just kick you off the platform. It's a total scam, if you ask me.

And don't even get me started on the pay. They only give you $1.50 for a whole page of work! That's ridiculous. There are way better platforms out there that pay way more. And if you try to argue with the support team or explain yourself, they just give you even more warnings. They're so unprofessional, it's not even funny.

But the worst part is what they do with your resources. If you upload anything to their site, they basically take ownership of it. They'll use your notes, your sample questions, your exercises, your sample exams - anything they can get their hands on. And they don't even give you credit for it! They just use it to lure in more students and make more money. It's not fair to the tutors or the students.

So yeah, if you're thinking about signing up for Course Hero, don't bother. It's a waste of time and effort. They're just trying to milk people for their money. If I could give them a zero rating, I would.

I used Course Hero for a solid 3 months and boy, was I disappointed. I thought I was getting a good deal when I purchased the 3-month subscription, but little did I know that I would be charged an additional $30 just to download a document! What a rip off! And to make matters worse, I received a notification that they charged me for another 3 months without even notifying me! I was livid and tried to dispute the charge, but they wouldn't budge. Instead, they made me email them ENDLESS times my dispute case (pretending they hadn't received my previous email) and the end result was that a person with a very similar name to the person I was talking before pretty much said in her email: "I wanted to give you some background information as to what happens when a dispute is filed. When a dispute is filed, there is a resolution process that occurs between us and PayPal. During that process, we provide PayPal with a copy of our Terms of use and account usage logs. PayPal then takes both the information you provided when filing the dispute and the information Course Hero provided and decides the outcome of the dispute. The decision made by PayPal is final and we are not able to counteract their decision. "

But the real kicker was the quality of the files they had in their system. It was TOTAL garbage! They weren't helpful at all and it seemed like they were written by a 4-year-old. There was a complete lack of file organization and 90% of the time, I couldn't even find what I was looking for! It kept showing me the first file I downloaded, which was completely useless. Their search on the website was non-existent and there was a complete lack of good, well-written reports. It was just some garbage from some random students and half-finished documents that ended abruptly! In other words, it was a complete waste of money. Do NOT spend your money on this "service".

I recently joined Course Hero as an online tutor and have been working with them for around 2 months now. During this time, I have answered more than 330 questions and provided what I believed to be correct answers. However, to my surprise, only 4 of my answers were marked as helpful by the students who asked the questions. This was quite disappointing for me as I had put in a lot of effort to provide accurate and helpful answers.

To make matters worse, Course Hero has a policy of reviewing unhelpful answers, and they rated 2 of my answers as unhelpful. I received a warning for submitting 'incomplete' and 'incorrect' answers, which I found to be quite unfair as I was confident that my answers were correct. I decided to raise a ticket to re-check the quality of their review, but to my dismay, my account was revoked instead. This meant that I would not be able to withdraw any payments for my written answers, even though I had around $305 in my account that were not paid to me.

Losing my hard-earned money was a big blow for me, especially since this amount was enough to survive for 3 months in my country. I tried to reach out to Course Hero through emails, but they did not respond to any of my messages. This made me feel cheated and frustrated, especially since I had worked hard on the platform and provided what I believed to be helpful answers to the students.

After connecting with other tutors on social media, I came to know that Course Hero has a practice of revoking accounts of even good tutors after they have worked for 2-4 months and inducting new ones. This was quite alarming for me, as I had put in a lot of effort to establish myself as a reliable tutor on the platform.

As I read more about online tutoring, I realized that not only tutors but also students are scammed either by incorrect answers from tutors who are inducted without any background checking or by not receiving the services they were expecting. This made me realize that it is important to be cautious while relying solely on tutoring platforms like Course Hero for your complete income or building your concepts based on non-interactive tutoring where you do not know about the credibility of the tutor.

In conclusion, my experience with Course Hero has been quite disappointing, and I would advise other tutors and students to be cautious while using such platforms. While they may seem like a convenient option, they can also be quite risky, and it is important to do your research and be aware of the potential risks involved.

As a customer, I gotta say, I've had some serious issues with Course Hero. I mean, their business practices are just plain unethical, and I feel like it's my duty to warn others about the lack of integrity they display.

So, let me give you some context. I've been charged multiple times for a service I never even signed up for or used. And when I tried to get in touch with their customer support team, all I got was a bunch of empty promises and excuses. They didn't do anything to fix the problem or even give me a decent explanation for what was going on.

And when I asked for a refund for all those unauthorized charges, they just gave me the runaround and didn't take my concerns seriously at all. It's like they don't care about their customers' financial well-being or anything.

Honestly, Course Hero is just not a reputable business. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes, and they don't care about their customers. It's just not right. So, if you're thinking about doing business with them, I'd say be careful. Their shady practices and lack of concern for their customers should be a major warning sign.

In my opinion, you're better off looking for other options that actually care about their customers and operate with transparency and ethics. Don't make the same mistake I did. Stay away from Course Hero.

Course Hero is a website that claims to help students and tutors alike. At first, I thought it was a great platform to earn some extra money and help students with their assignments. However, my experience with Course Hero turned out to be a complete nightmare.

Initially, I loved the platform as I was getting paid for my work. I had a high rating on Course Hero, and students were happy with my answers. They even gave me a "Helpful rate" with good reviews. I was confident that I was doing a good job. However, one day, I received my first violation notice. I was shocked as I had no idea what I had done wrong. They accused me of communicating with students who were not related to the answer. I checked the violation, and it said that I had said "thanks" to students. I was confused as to how saying "thanks" could be a violation.

Despite my confusion, I continued to work on the platform. However, after two months, they terminated my account without giving me a proper explanation. They accused me of plagiarism, which I knew was not true. I had checked my answers multiple times using free plagiarism checkers like Duplichecker, SEO small tools, Que-text, plagiarism checker, and downloaded the reports. I had all the evidence to prove that my answers were unique and plagiarism-free.

When I emailed them to inquire about the termination, they did not provide me with a valid answer. They simply said something that was not true. I later found out that this had happened to many other tutors as well. I realized that Course Hero was a scam.

As a former employee of Course Hero, I can say that they do not value tutors. They treat tutors like garbage and terminate them without showing any evidence. They sell our quality answers without our permission, which is a violation of copyright laws. They do not have any right to sell our answers, and it is not even included in their guidelines.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Course Hero to anyone. They are scammers who steal your money, hard work, and personal information. They terminate tutors without any valid reason and sell their answers without their permission. I have included all the evidence below to prove my point. I don't know what's going on in course hero me and my friend try to make an tutor account on course hero after passing all subjects quizzes and upload educational proofs then we click on submit A unknown window get pop-up in which they mentioned " Your application has been received" and my account get stuck there when I opened my email course hero emailed me to complete my application which I already completed and submitted I don't know what is happening form course hero side. If I emailed them they just ignore I don't know what to do.

Till now after 20,30 days they still emailed to complete my application. Course hero haveWorst support services.

On Nov. 23, 2023 i received on email from course hero saying i need to do ID verification check saying that course hero identified unusual activity on my tutor account that violates their Terms of Use. To ensure the integrity of their platform for students and other tutors, my account has been temporarily disabled. I follow the steps given in veryfying my identity then at the same date, Jude of course hero support team responded that my account was already re enabled. I was able to use it. Then the next day, Nov. 24, 2023 suddenly i can't access again my account. Then an email from course hero was sent saying i need to do ID verification check again. So i did the process again but this time there were no response from the support team.

I have uploaded notes from my university which violates the copyright regulations. All the notes i got from my university requires consent from the owner since it are made for only university students. I have accidentally uploaded few notes from my university into course hero and i really need to remove before the university takes any action. Please assist to resolve this matter. Thank you!

I wanted the monthly subscription and the charge me for a whole year. when I asked to be refunded for the year and just charge the monthly charge, I was told because I use the website they could not do the refund. Of course I use the website I thought I was getting a monthly charge that we could be canceled any time. I’ve use this platform for a very long time, and I am so disappointed that when I decided to get a monthly subscription to it, they screwed me over.

I was tutor on course hero by solving questions answers but one day on 27 october 2023 when i was going to open my accout it was unable to access. I also got mailed that its requir to verify that its me, they have given me link for verification but when i open link it show expired. I have also mailed them but they are not responding. My helpful rate is approximately 93 percentage. There are also more than 200 dollars. Please help as soon as possible.

I complained regarding my account getting permanently disabled even after re-verification done on persona link given by Ms EMILY from Tutor support team but Mr Jess disabled my account without any reason and wrote that they will not state the reason of my account getting disabled. I had $295 pending for withdrawal after solving 148 questions . This is clearly cheating .

Now after Nov 7th they are not responding to my emails on tutor-support@coursehero.com and when contacted on +18886349397 and spoke to Ms ANNA she informed that we are not tutor support team and can't help with it .

I have my most depressing and worst experience of working on this platform.

Complaints Board please into the matter and help me to get my $295. Kindly aware people to not fall for such scam .

Today I've received something on your site. The student marked my submitted answer as UNHELPFUL but he/she is asking for CLARIFICATION.And the thing is the question he is asking for CLARIFICATION is not even in the original question!

Should I answer it or not since it dragged my ratings down?! Should I answer the clarifications, will the Inconsiderate and Notorious Scoring of CourseHero restore my rating from 93% to 96%?

PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE to TUTORS COURSEHERO! AND TELL THE STUDENTS to stop marking UNHELPFUL when they're adding ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS which is not even in the ORIGINAL! I WISH THAT TUTORS CAN REPORT STUDENTS like that!

YOU KNOW what I'm trying to maintain my current Rating 96%. It will take a couple of several answers with Helpful rating to reach that score but a SINGLE Unhelpful Remark will drag that score down to OBLIVION!

I received an email on Nov 3rd that my account is temporarily disabled due to unusual activity which I am completely unaware of & was asked to re-verify my account on given persona link which was already expired on Nov 3rd . I got a new persona link after complaining for 5 days on Nov 7th & I successfully completed the verification process on Nov 7th at 5 am IST .

But I have not received any response or update from support team yet . I am unable to access to my account since Nov 3rd .

When pending amount was going to be available from Nov 4 for withdrawal but they temporarily disabled my account for no reason on Nov 3 stating to re-verify on given link and the provided link was already expired and now it's 5 days but not single response is received. I have not received a single penny for working 11-12 hours daily on this platform. Kindly look into the matter and help me to regain my account and my payment.

On October 28th, my account was temporarily disabled due to an alleged violation of the Terms of Service, which I am certain I did not violate. An email was sent to me to verify, but the link is no longer active. There has been no response in days for any update. I have earnings that need to be withdrawn, but I can't even get my hard-earned money. Could you please assist me with this?

I am feeling so down and frustrated after putting a lot of effort to provide quality answers for students, even sharing my precious notes for them to understand better the topics only to be thrown away just like that. I am aware that I answer a question that has little data, that's why I told the student to provide me further data so I can help answer the question because I have expertise in the topic that the student is trying to ask. However the Course Hero team branded my answer as fake and spam. And just like that they sent me an email that I can no longer answer questions but I can withdraw my remaining earnings. I have 95% overall helpful rates with over 90 questions answered. I am literally crying typing this complaint. It's not all about money I feel like I'm not good enough as a tutor by the way they treat me after all I had done for the students.

I am hoping that they give me a chance and they review all my contributions to their platform.
