Companies like Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, and all the other used names don't do promotions or lotteries. Use your common sense: You can never win a lottery if you did not buy a ticket. When I get a mail from any unknown person I always first check the email address for online scams. Just go to http://www.scamalert4u.com and enter the email address. Within one minute you see whether it came from a scammer. Also, look at the given phone number. A UK number that starts with "+4470" is a numer which can be redirected anywhere in the world, mostly used by Nigerians to hide their location. Take care.

I have been receiving automatic debits out of my checking account off and on since 2017. The bank has not been able to track the problem down and my daughter pulled up this website and we are now writing to complain about this. So far we have calculated at least $202.37 has been unauthorized and deducted from my account. I demand a refund and should I find further unauthorized deductions prior to 2017, I will expect repayment of those amounts as well. This is called FRAUD as you all well know it to be. I cannot believe these people are getting by with this! I expect a timely response to my letter of great concern. I am 84 years old and cannot afford to pay for something unauthorized and then deducted out of my account with no phone number to respond back to. UNACCEPTABLE!

This is infuriating, someone once again called me from XBOX to "confirm my address and email", it is almost a month that I initiated a repair order which has now turned into 7 different "repair orders" because every time I call a new person answers the phone and tells me the same thing "can I call you by your first name?" and gives me the same directions on what to do which I've heard seven times before. I realize now that XBOX is not willing to honor the warranty on my console and is just delaying the process so that my warranty expires or I give up, well I won't. I have documented and recorded every conversation with "Mike, Angelo, ..." and everyone else and I will initiate a formal complaint with the BBB. I spent a lot of money on this console and I have read online that this situation has happened to many others, Enough is enough!

I totally agree. I looked this up after I was just charged $59.99 for Halo 3 which we bought, on disc, the day it came out! Last month it was $9.99 for live monthly which I had used a 12-month card for... Now they say "well it was purchased, and there are no refunds!" I'm about to trash the Xbox completely. Modern-day thieves...

I was victim just yesterday (2/27). BOA notified me of suspicious charges and put a hold on my card. I will get a new card. I don't use any yahoo stores, so not sure where they got it from. I do a lot of online shopping, but not with anyone new recently and a lot of it with paypal - which is linked to my bank account - so i have some concerns there.

I also called XBOX support at 1-800-4MYXBOX. The person there did some research and found two accounts had been opened in my name. She removed the card from their system, canceled the accounts, and escalated the report to the fraud person(s).

My bank also said to open a police report and notify the credit bureaus.

Both Microsoft and Bank of America credited my account after posting the dispute with BOA. BOA is reversing their reversal since Microsft gave the money back. Maybe it happened this way since I found the charge while it was in process.
My case was ID theft so I'd still like to know from others if there is a commonality to this, e.g a visit to a Yahoo store or strictly Bank of America accounts. Anyone, anyone?

This is my second x box console in the past two months...first the first one was an elite, and it was making clacking noises where the disc was banging into the side and would not stand up, so when laid back down it would still clack, took it back and got the xbox 360 s console...now the games are starting to freeze, which means the hard drive is failing, cleared cache and has 225 gb of 260 gb memory left... Xbox service is really exceptional and will make it right...said to take back to store and will honor it if they wont. it just saves time than sending it back. as for the x box experience, they need to have a place where the trolls kick people or try to get your health removed by throwing you to fire or closing doors, shooting you and playing other tricks.. leaving a bad gamer live on line experience playing with others, they dont have a solution to having a place for the badasses to go to and leave regular players who want to have fun and are still experienced to enjoy the gaming online experience.

 I did a quick investigation and searched this scam/fraud charge " MICROSOFT *XBBILL.XBOX.COMWA" on Google and it revealed that it is a large scale scam/fraud. I gather the account holders of Xbox mostly are being scammed and double charged. The scamer is listing their fraud/scam erroneous charges; as  the same or similar to the real Xbox monthly charges of Microsoft. In this investigation search on Google revealed, more recent complaints for accounts like mine with no xbox or Microsoft charges ever or dealings in the history of the account holder at all. With these facts and ongoing large scale investigations and customer service departments working overtime on this same fraud/scam charges united states wide, you should not be hindered any further to come to a conclusion of the same knowledge. 
Please restore my account funds and your banks honor as soon as possible; as this information should have already been applied into your fraud/scam software and stopped and therefore had prevented me and my account from damage due to your banks negligence, touch and harm. It is public knowledge of this on going fraud/scam. Many investigations and inquires have been on going with this same fraudulent charges in many other personal bank accounts in other banks and states. 
At this knowledge, you must conclude that I am in no way any part of this scam, yet am damaged by your bank not updating your own fraud/scam software to have flagged and stopped this charge before it posted. Take them to small claims court. You may ever get to talk to them face to face but at least they will have to answer for what they have done.

I have this issue below as email ms xbox tech support, the problem started prior to 11/20/2010 and to this day I have not received the controllor. this is one of the worst customer support i ever experiance and today is 1/9/2011 and i had it with this unpresedent behaviour of ms employees and thier lies, I have send my son controller certified and have proof they received it on 11/22/2010 10 am and the claim they didnt get it until mid 12/2010, I am thinking to take them to court not for $50 controller, but to teach them a lesson, hope to find group of people who experiance the same issue to join.
this is what email them and followed by numbers of phone calls, I am really frausturated at this point.
This Xbox I bought for my son and I really was so disappointed with this purchase, due to the fact that both wireless controllers are defective, those 2 controllers came as a backage with elitte console I bought, and it is not even 2 months since i bought this xbox, and I picked the most expensive one available in the store was little over $400, and now I have sent the first controller 11/20/2010 and have not recieved it back yet from service, on top of all this I had to pay for shipping and item still under warranty, the service # for this repair was [protected]...I called about one week ago to complain about the 2nd controller and was told to send this one too to service department, but unfortunatly since I didnt get my first controller yet, I decided to wait until i get the first one and then will send the 2nd one.
I would like to get this matter resolved asap.

I got the free 1 month trial of Xbox live it completely messed up the credit scoring on my copy of Halo Reach it was my favorite game until I got Xbox live, Thanks Alot Xbox live you SUCK!Hope you read this.

stay away form xbox. 4hours on phone. no custoer service. stealing peoples money saying not authorised to process what you request. dont trust dont trust dont trust. purchased prepaid xbox points from bjs and not able to put on account. got shuffled from rep to rep. shame on such a company. a shout out to bill g. I signed up on the XBOX Console for 3 months through my credit card after taking a trial. The service was fun, but I had to move back with family in another city, so I wasn't sure if I'd use the service again. In Sept, I didn't need to call XBOX Live to renew, so I didn't. 6 months later, looking at my statement, not only did XBOX Live charge me for Sept-Dec, they charged me for Dec-Feb, which is really funny, seeing as I had lost my credit card so had to change the number. I asked how they got my number but they wouldn't tell me. It's obvious, they look up your credit card info. and charge your new card WITHOUT EVEN LETTING YOU KNOW. I hope these criminals get charged or at are at least bankrupted after civil suits.

Also, I've spoken with several (at least five) cust. service reps, including two managers, on different days, totaling over 2 1/2 hours (literally), but they all refused to credit me anything, only telling me, "Well, you've already paid for this 3 months, so you have until the 28th [month from then] to use it." They insulted me more by asking if I was interested in renewing. I felt like cursing them out then, but only said, "I might've, but since you've been charging me without me being able to use this, I definitely won't be."

Stay away from XBOX Live. They charge your credit card, steal your number and use it when you don't authorize them to, and don't even do so much as apologize or refund ANY money. They're a terrible service that I hope goes out of business soon. They've stolen only $59.97 from me, but please I caught onto their larceny, so they'll charge me no longer (so they've said). It's up to you, the consumer, to make sure they aren't ever paid in the first place. I hope you heed my warning, or don't complain when they began to steal from you, because it'll do nothing but give you a headache and tarnish your viewpoint of Microsoft, like it did me.

The Xbox Live greed and convolutedness has not changed. Trying to remove my credit card using their software and procedure is BS it is not allowed. I paid up for a year subscription and owed nothing but the greed will not allow for no reason except policy and to tempt you to purchase the crap they sell you.
