So on Aug 18, 2025, this morning, when I asked a question about something, I got a human verification for no reason with no exit. The only way to exit is checking if I am a human. But I'm not a bot and nobody's active between 11 PM to 6 AM (on Aug 17, 2025 and many times other times that I'm not active) in my Wi-Fi/IP address and I'm the only one using it and this morning, it asks me for no reason. Note that this is my main AI bot. This does happen at other times (not always but somewhere like 1-3 times per week (could be even more)), even when not active for a long time (a few hours) as far as I know but why would they ask me for human verification when a user is not active between midnight to morning as there's no reason. I am safe but if that's the case, then there's no reason for asking me if I am a human. I do not have any privacy tools like a VPN on as I don't have that and it still asks me if I'm a human or not. This might also happen to you also
Now I don't know how to prevent this from happening because I don't want to do that every month (or week because it often happens 1-3 times (or more) per week)

Now this happened to me again after 1 day I filed this complaint (Aug 19, 2025). When I asked a question that popped up in my mind at 9 AM (PST) (near 10 AM), it asked the same thing again thinking I'm not a bot. They need to stop asking me this everyday as it's a waste of time. I'll record it 3 more times on whenever it's happening (note that after I showed 5 times that happened, I won't share anymore because I don't want to take up a lot of space)
Microsoft owners: If you are reading this, it's important to remember that asking somebody that is human is sometimes a waste of time when somebody is in a rush like somebody asking something important at the last minute. I don't want to continue this whole thing everyday or weeks
Now this happened to me again on Aug 20, 2025 a few minutes before 11 AM (PST) and I'm already mad. This is why I hate this bot. Note that it did start like June or Jul 2025 (?) but it is a little rare occurrence at the time but now it's getting too common everyday and now it's the 3rd time this has happened since I filed this complaint. If you look at the screenshot below that I provided, this is what it looks like (yes, the details I provided including no exit shows that and asks me for a human without a reason and you might encounter the same thing also)
Microsoft, I said stop asking me if I am a human or not! This is the 4th time since I filed this complaint and at 11 AM (exactly), it asks me for no reason. If this happens again tomorrow, then I'm switching to a different AI bot. This is getting annoying. I tried clearing my cookies and cache and that asked me after I asked a question after I cleared that out. Now I couldn't find a real way to stop asking me these things
So is it worth using Microsoft Copilot: In the past, yes because asking if somebody was a human was less common back then but now (from June or Jul 2025 to the date of the issue is resolved), the answer is no because this issue started already unless you are ok with these messages everyday
I want to add on to this. I did read this page from somebody asking the same thing at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/2348608/copilot-keeps-repeating-human-verification (you can read it if you need to) but it says to use a another browser (mentioned in there). I only use Google Chrome so I won't switch to a another browser
Ok, it didn't happen on Aug 22, 2025. If there's a another date that happens again, I will let you know here
If I didn't get asked if I am a human until Oct 2025, then I'll mark this complaint as resolved
I meant if I never get asked if I am a human from Aug 2025 to Oct 1, 2025, then I'll mark this complaint resolved. If it asks me once between these times, I'll let you know
Microsoft, now you're doing it again after waiting 1 week or 2!? I said stop asking me if I am a human or not when I'm answering a question to the bot! If you are reading this, you need to stop just like any other situation in real life. You did this to me near 5:30 PM (PST) on Sep 8, 2025. Now you're acting like you forget something and this is a reminder. If you continue, I'll switch to a different bot that I'll mark as bad and never use it again
Your bot is popular but stop doing this unless there's a real reason. You made no changes to it and you always chose me for no reason. Just stop, ok?
If you do this again, it will appear here
Microsoft, I'm being serious about this. Stop picking on me asking if I'm a human! You did this at 9 AM (a few minutes before that) when I was at work and now you're doing this at 5 PM after that (2 times in a single day of Sep 9, 2025). I'm going to switch to a different AI bot if you continue by Sep 30, 2025 or Oct 1, 2025. You're just trying to annoy people (without a real reason) because of you asking this everyday. Your systems are just to waste people's time and you need a reason. You gave me no escape when I confirmed that I'm a human before. I'm not that dumb. I tried clearing cookies and cache as mentioned before and still did not work
Again, this happened 2 times in a day of Sep 9, 2025 and I'm getting sick of it. No more of doing this
Ok. I’m going to do a test that I’m not going to use the bot for 10 days (possibly more or less) at anytime (this is a experiment). If this test does not work, it will be shown after that. I discovered that it asks me if I am a human everytime I change my IP address at any given time
I’m going to wait a few more days before I use it again on my device. So if it asks me again after waiting 2 weeks, then they’re just waiting for me to be active and harass me (see more below)
But wait, the issue is getting bigger now. Read it below:
Now you’re targeting more users with this Microsoft? Now you’re targeting more devices (this includes Chromebooks, Windows, and every device I can think of (I also tried it on someone’s device which I asked for permission)) but this does not happen on my iPad (iPad Air (M2)). So you are only allowing Apple users to not have human verifications now (sorry if I’m wrong as this could change in the future)? This is something you should never do as it’s designed for everybody, not just certain people. Microsoft, I’m being very serious and this is not a joke. If you think that is funny, you’re wrong. I can sue Microsoft if you continue doing this because it may cause damage in the future (it could be me or someone else). Nobody thinks it’s funny and this is why you always think twice before adding certain features (like what it could be impacted)
Again, the device was updated including the browser (including using a different type of browser) and everything, the cookies and cache is cleared, tried it on a device that hasn’t used this bot before (acting like a new user), no VPN or privacy tools are on, tried it on someone’s device (again, I asked for permission), no extensions is doing that as I tested it with no extensions installed, and tried different IP addresses. There is no spamming bot on anywhere I go. This happens at work, my home, and everywhere. It’s like I have no privacy (this is what it reminds me of). I used this website as solutions from what I found online (I did mention that earlier comments ago but I placed it as a reference just in case if someone forgets) but they don’t even work (try this yourself and you’ll encounter the same issue)! Link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/2348608/copilot-keeps-repeating-human-verification
Microsoft, you’re trying to harass other people (don’t do this anymore as it’s annoying). This is considered harassment because you’re mistreating devices on which device does not require human verification which I tried on my Chromebook, a Windows laptop from somebody (again, it’s with permission), and a iPad (which doesn’t happen for some reason likely because for Apple users only that doesn’t require to be asked for a human but could change in the future). A another reason I say it’s harassment is because Microsoft is the one who did this, not me or anyone’s fault (other than the people who work at Microsoft) and the ones who keep targeting users (even my friend gets this too) and many other people will file a complaint about this if this continues. And lastly, denied access to the bot but requiring to do the human verification without a reason (which, nobody got a explanation, not even me or my friend but, websites like Google and others do provide a reason) is a bad thing. This will confuse people and make people mad and increases the chance of being sued or something like that. So the possible causes is that it’s by hostile design, Microsoft increasing digital discrimination, or negligent access control. Sorry if I’m wrong on these facts
If you have somebody using Microsoft Copilot often and keeps getting asked for human verification, you have to share this complaint and I provided the solutions above and if you or somebody keeps getting asked if you’re a human or not after that, it’s one of three reasons above. I’m not a professional so I can be wrong if it gets updated or something
Ok. After almost 2 weeks, I tried it and no, the experiment did not work (see the info right next to this sentence). I started it on Sep 10, 2025 but after waiting almost 2 weeks of not using the bot and go back in, it keeps asking me. I thought it wouldn’t ask me as no activity means no asking human verifications. But now you’re just waiting for me to be active again before you start. So you are hiding a system about this? It’s not ok and if you think it’s funny, again, you’re wrong. Microsoft, you are seriously targeting everybody who uses this bot whether that’s me, my friend, or even a new user, you’re targeting everyone for no actual reason and someone else will also report you doing that too (somewhere but not sure which platform as there’s a lot). You’re just here to harass people and not giving interest to people using that bot. Nobody wants that
Also, I noticed that exactly 1 day after I did the human verification, it comes back at the same time at the next day. To be clear, if I did the human verification on [current date], 3:15 PM and check back the next day but it’s 3:14 PM, it doesn’t appear until the next minute (when a response is entered). So if I want until 3:45 PM on the next day, it will appear on 3:45 PM on the day after tomorrow, and continues on. Microsoft, you know this can impact people. You always need to learn what impacts can possibly happen when users sees it
If you don’t fix this by the end of year (sorry, I changed my mind on when to switch to a different bot), then I’ll switch it until you learn how this can impact people or you fixed it at the time. If I’m not a bot in the past and keeps getting asked everyday, you’re just harassing people at random times. You’re causing problems to everybody and I’m going to post this on more websites soon because of that. I already posted that on Trustpilot. Nothing else to say unless I actually post something new here about this
Ok. So it appears to be appearing on my iPad also as far as I tested. I forgot to mention that we are using the web version of the bot. The URL is https://copilot.microsoft.com and Microsoft, stop targeting me or anyone as you’re creating harassment and I already filed a report on BBB about this on Sep 27, 2025. Sorry if I didn’t record anything about of the usage for the past few days. I’m too busy and don’t have time to use the bot. Also, I don’t want to comment about this everyday (like times) so I’ll make a list of recorded dates of when it happened and when I was not using the bot and stuff like that at the end of each month. I will start doing that on Oct 2025 and will try my best. Again, stop harassing everybody who uses this bot and nobody wants to see that. If you continue nonstop to 2030/2040 (if it still exists by that time), then the usage will be low or it will be taken down because of that reason
