Hi,

I have a problem with workout anytime Alpharetta center and I would like share and get some advice.

I was a member of workout anytime Alpharetta center since April 2009.I initially joined as a member then after I was looking for personal training at this club. I was introduced by a trainer and we discussed about the training in detail as $30 each session and 10 per month which means the total 300 a month. We planned to go for monthly as I have given my credit card details to charge me monthly $300.Also discussed, if I would like to discontinue or for some reason, if I wont take every month 10 session, Trainer said which will carry over to next month and if I would like to cancel, then I will get the money back which I don't use.Since the begining, I did not get my full 10 sessions monthly, as he was out and not responded for 2 weeks and he was responding for my calls lately. on Aug27th, He said, he is leaving the club and told me to call another trainer .I already disappointed with slow training and I thought to cancel my membership and personal training.I discussed with front desk agent, he said, I need to send out certified mail, which I already did for membership cancellation.front desk person siad, he is going to send out an email to the owner and I came to know from him that there is no refund which is not true. Regarding, Personal Training sessions, I was charged for 3 times for total $900.I suppose to get 30 sessions but I do remember, I have taken 12 sessions, not sure exact number.I cancelled everything now and looking for my refund money for unused sessions. I sent out the same email to the [protected]@workoutanytime.com and received a response that there wont be any refund moreover they placed a item on my credit report that due for $900 which means they are trying to collect for 6 months total $1800 for 10 sessions which is absoultely cheating and rediculous.

I am not interested in going back to the same gym and I already joined with a different gym.I need my money back which I paid for unused sessions.

Pls help me with your advices where to complain and how do I get my money back.

Thanks,

I am once again frustrated to find that the advertised staffing hours at the Lenox Village, Nashville TN location is not true. There's no one there, and while it doesn't matter to those working out, but I have a membership to tan. I like to do this often, and a great deal of the time, no one is staffing the location or leaves a sign saying why!

My wife was introduced to WOA by our daughters and enjoyed the low monthly cost and flexability to excersize anytime. she was approached by a trainer and pressured to sign up for training sessions. She understood she could get out of the contract at any point with a 30 days notice (she is 61 and this is so out of carater for her). This is not so! 9 days after she signed the contract she told me she made a big mistake. I looked @ contract and saw she had only 3 days to get out and now the want $770 canclation fee ! This is crazy ! Who reads all the fine print on contracts (I will now) when a "trainner" is pressuring you to sign it ? I am disputing the contract with Discover Card, but do not know what else can be done it is now 12 days into this mess and we do not have $120 a month for this (we are retired) Anyone have suggestions?

call your credit card company and file a dispute per "services not provided". your credit card company will be happy to help you about this since you haven't received the services from the provider which is in this case the trainer. visa/mastercard/amex/discover protects the cardholders in such situations and they have regulations for these cases. don't be late and call your credit card company. amex is the best when it comes to credit card disputes
