Westlake Financial Services Harassment

I am a current Westlake Financial customer and due to extremely hard times I fell behind 1 payment.

Yes, they have every right to call you and try to collect their money. No, they don't have to care about your personal issues. Yes, they can repo your ride, but...

Can they repeatedly harass someone with several phone calls A DAY? No. Can they call you names and insult you whilst trying to collect? No. Can they harass your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers? No. Can they make threats they aren't legally allowed to follow through with (like putting you in jail)? NO.

Just because someone is having a hard time financially doesn't give these jokers the right to treat them like ###. Learn to treat people with respect while being firm and maybe you'll not have people suing you and posting awful things about your company online.

I contacted an attorney in my state and guess what - LAWSUIT WHAT UP.

Westlake almost got me FIRED because they called my job (doctor's office) SEVERAL times a day, almost everyday. My boss told them to stop calling her business and to deal with me by cell phone. I had talked to a Westlake rep SEVERAL times and told them I was sorry I was late, but I was paying double payments my next due date including any fees and if they had to repo, well then, so be it.

Not only did I get YELLED at, insulted, and bothered by phone calls several times a day, but even just calling to MAKE a payment was painful! The rep "Manuel" refused to take my payment if I didn't give him all my contact numbers. Finally he gave in when I asked if he was REFUSING my money.

An example of their AWESOME customer service: I told them yesterday (as I have everyday for the last week or MORE) I was paying double payments today AFTER noon when I got paid...they called me at 10 AM PST and were demanding payment. I said I couldn't til after noon, like I said. The guy, who refused to give his name, said "IT IS NOON NOW"...uhhh no, in my state it's 10 AM so talk to ya in a couple hours. Thirty minutes later they called my JOB (after repeated requests by me and my boss to not call there, they have THREE cell numbers for my husband and I) and hung up on our receptionist.

California has the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Civil Code section [protected].33 that prohibits abusive debt collection practices.

The National Association of Consumer Advocates, naca.net, has a directory of attorneys who sue abusive debt collectors.

Westlake Financial Services Rude and deserve to be shut down

I have been financed with this company since feb of last year. i was doing really good on my payments and was very proud of myself. after june i became a single mother and was having trouble making the full payment on time. so i would call ahead and ask the CSR to help. they allowed me to half my payment when i was having trouble paying. and i paid them whenever the date that i promised to pay. then one day, i called to let them know i would be late and the lady was very rude to me and even hang up on me! i was very shock. then back on march of this year i called because my payment was i think 5 days late already, and i told the lady i have to go to work early today and wont be able to make the payment today but i can the next day. and she told me okay ill call the repo people since you cant pay your car and hang up on me. and everytime i called back they kept hanging on me. i couldnt take it anymore. i tried to trade my car in but sadly the car has no value. and my credit is not that good. they keep bothering me at work and calling my reference number. finally on april i told them to just take the car and they never did. then they calle me on may and i told them the same thing.and i spoke to a "supervisor" and said they would take the car at the end of may. why? after 3 months? so they finally came today at 4 in the morning to take my car. i went outside and ask the guy why he came at this time? why not during the day or the evening? since ive been tellin rhem to pick it up. the guy look really confused and surprised. he said he was told to repo it and just got it last night. he said he would put a complaint as well. please if anyone can help me do soething with this company it would be really great. i am a single mother and my job is more than 1 hour away and now i dont have a car.

Take all complaints to the Corporate Office, BBB, or the FTC. First off, no credit collections or any other
agency is supossed to conatct you at work via phone. If you did not give the consent to this situation you
need to complain to the supervisor or manager. Don't let them walk all over you. Remember you have rights,
too! Unfortunatley, My husband & I are in a situation with Westlake Financial. A guy named ROBERT threatened to
take our vehicle away when we have been making our payments.

Westlake Financial Services Will not take credit cards for final payment!

So I gave them my credit card # to make a payment and they screwed me up by taking to much so I had my bank take the money back thx wells Fargo! Then they not only will not take my payment by anything other than a non paper trail so I can track it but, they have refused my phone calls and put me on hold and in a circle finally hanging up! W T F ! And keep in mind I only have less than a thousand dollars left and I do have the money to pay off my truck AND THEY WILL NOT TAKE IT! So I am going to take to my bank tomorrow and see if I can pull a loan through my bank and let the bank handle these MOTHER ***KERS. If I would have know that this company was like this I would have NEVER! bought or had my loan through them! Think twice!, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ... I guess if push comes to shove I'll improve my credit while this whole *** is going on, tell all my friends on all the networking sites I have and maybe cause this joke of a company to go under!.

Westlake Financial Services Overcharges

My car payment was due December 6, 2009. I made a deposit on December 4, 2009 at Wells Fargo Bank using the provided deposit slip in my monthly statement.

On Monday, December 7th I get a call (at work) from Westlake Financial. They told me that they were calling at work because my home number was no good, and they wanted to know why I was late with my payment. I explained that it was deposited through Wells Fargo and the apologized and told me that sometimes it takes an extra day to post. (NOTE: My home phone was fine, but they didn't wait the 5 rings for the answering machine to pick up).

On Wednesday, December 9th my friends are calling me to tell me that Westlake Financial was calling them to find out if I moved away (skipped town). Note, they still hadn't posted the payment.

I called Westlake — and at their request — faxed over a copy of my deposit receipt. I was informed that I would need to contact Wells Fargo to straighten this out. When I call I was informed that since Westlake is their customer, and not me, they could not do anything. Westlake Financial would need to contact them. Telling this to Westlake was useless, as they wouldn't handle the issue. It wasn't until I told them that we can let this go to court that they decided to contact Wells Fargo Bank, who informed them that the deposit was made on the 4th (2 days early) and this was a bookkeeping error on one of the banks parts... not mine!

It took until December 24th for Westlake to post my payment. They consider my account one month past due and charged a $15 late fee, which they admitted should be removed.

Four days after the payment was posted — on December 28th — they mailed me a letter (Received January 2, 2010) saying my account has been sent to collection. I called them yet again and received the stock reply telling me that my account is fine and this "will be submitted for review".

I am writing this on January 8, 2010 and nothing has changed. Including today I have been submitted for review seven times. The late fee is still there, the account is still considered as late and I have yet to talk to a single person that has enough intelligence to boot up their own computer.

If you are considering using Westlake Financial Services I urge you to think this over. You are opening yourself up for a month of phone calls and hassles each time they make an accounting error, and you will NEVER reach anyone capable of resolving an issue. As of today, I am still “Under Review” and a late charge is still pending. I realize it would have been easier to pay the $15 than make over 20 telephone calls to resolve this — something I am still working at — and I am certain they rely on that for additional income.

January 11, 2010 I received an email saying:

"We apologize for the inconvenience that this incident has caused. However based on the information provided, the conditions necessary have been satisfied to rectify this unfortunate mistake. Your information has been cleared of all liability. If you have any other questions or concerns; please call our customer service department."

Now I need to call and see why I still am responsible for the late fee, as it has not been removed from my account.

Hey Westlake! WHERE IS MY TITLE?! After enduring your (less than professional) business practices you owe me my vehicle title. I paid your B.S. fees and charges just to be done with you. And what's up with all the bogus charges? Are you having trouble making payroll without that money? I have paid you every red cent and you still have not come through. I want what is MINE! You bunch of lowlife dummies.

I don't have an Auto Loan with this company, I was put as a contact person for someone who does have a loan. This person has fallen on hard times and cannot make the payments on her vehicle. I am receiving calls daily twice a day telling me to contact the person. I have done so and advised Westlake of this. I still receive calls from them telling me I better call the person and have her call them. I get these calls still twice a day and I have told them I don't have a loan with them and not to call me again, they still call and say they will call me until the loan is paid. These people are rude and no respect and seem to enjoy it, one's name is Eric the other is Joe, more than likely not thier real names. I guess it's time to contact an attorney.

I would have to agree with you. The fact that they call numerous times from different numbers the day or the day after my payment is due is indicatory of them struggling or going under. I hope so. I hate that piece of ### company. Thugs, wanna be gangsters that are just completely rude, uneducated and stupid. Have fun working the drive through when Westlake Financial goes under you ###!

Westlake Financial Services Unprofessional

I have had a financed vehicle with WestLake for 3 years and have been treated very poorly 90% of the time. This last time I spoke to Jay Rodriguez (probley not a real name)he was upset because I was $60.00 short on a payment and went on about if I wasn't concerned about late fees well then he should just double them and what kind of person am I to need a sub-prime lender and that I was not even smart enough to know my own interest rate. On and on he refused to transfer me until I told him I was recording the conversation. He then transferred me to a supervisor that was friendley but told me how their phone conversations were not recorded and how it was my word against the employees. I told him I was going to report them to the BBB and to corporate in which I will do after this! Do not expect to be treated with courtesy when talking to this company they are not run honestly or professionally. Lets all ralley to make our complaints heard!

Westlake Financial Services Rip off

I had recently paid off my Jeep after receiving a letter from Westlake stating that they were disappointed that I hadn't sent my last payment in yet to satisfy my loan. So I sent it in expecting in return to receive my title 30 to 45 days after. Now, I have had some hard times keeping bills paid on time as everyone else nay have experienced and they have threatened me a couple of time with repo ect. I called them after 3 months to check on my title and they said "I would not get my title until i have paid all late fees and an almost repo fee" what the *** is this. What kind of crap compnay have I gotten involved with. So if I want my title i have to pay them another $500 and they charged off my vehicle! I am so ticked off that I have contacted the BBB (Better Business Burea) and anyone else I can think of next I am going to the local news stations. These people are out of control.

I just had a problem just a couple of months ago where they had been calling seven to eight times a day some at six or seven in the morning and as late as ten at night. ( the first time i was late in two years) I contacted my attorney after them talking to my roomate who wasnt on the loan and who told them twice in front of me that they cant give her the information. then when she hung up they called back and put my account number and ss# on the voicemail. My attorney told me that they have personaly screwed him over and he has never found a lawyer who has fought and won. he said they are a very shady company and find the very smallest loop hole out of everything. In the future i will not use them at all i will go to a completly different dealer no matter how much it costs me.

Wow, sounds like these guy's are part of some sort of Mafia.

We have been going thru hell with them also with our son had purchased a car just before going to college (against our intentions) and since could no longer afford this car.

We had contacted them to let them know that he is giving up the car and for them to tell us where to take this car and get it out from under him.

He is aware of his financial responsibilities towards the repercusions of the repo, but they continue to call (3 times a day, every day of the week) and we have sent letters (4) fax letters (2) were they can pick up this car and to stop calling.

God I hope soon or we will have to have our phone numbers changed, nobody seems to want to help and these jokers dont care about anything except acting like jerks or Loan Sharks...

Westlake Financial Services Poor customer service

I have recently fallen behind on my payments, I'm still making them but I have been late, due to losing my job and having to relocate to another state so I can work. I've contacted Westlake Financial Services several times to speak with a loan counselor so I can make some kind of arrangements and to let them know what is going on. The only thing that I've been told to do is to "call back on the 1st of the month." I call on the 1st of the month, and still do not recieve any help. I am told that my payment is late and I need to pay right away! Well, I know that, that is why I am calling. The letters that I recieve from Westlake Financial gives a phone number to a loan counselor if you need help with your loan. The phone number is a fax line and I'm not able to speak to a person. Customer service is so rude! No one will let me speak to a loan counselor or willing to help or give any answers. I'm being threatened to have my car repossessed. I don't know what else to do. Westlake Financial's website is even worse. It's not user-friendly at all! All I want to do is speak with a loan counselor and get back on track with making my payments. Why is Westlake Financial not willing to help?

Westlake Financial Services Scam

I had an auto loan For a 2008 Chevy Aveo 5. We had automatic payments set up with them. We had no problems till the car became a total loss in an accident. The insurance company settled with full payment to Westlake. A ten day hold was put on the account till all paperwork was signed. Westlake agreed to these terms and took ten days interest added to the total owed. Three days after the agreement was in place Westlake automatically took the next car payment from my checking account. Which was $338.87. This date was 9-20-09. They received their payment in full from the insurance company 2 weeks ago and they are only going to refund me $265.47. They claim that that is the interest owed even though they are being paid interest by the insurance company.

It takes over 30 days to receive my refund even though it is not the correct amount. They will not pay me interest even though they hold onto my money they had no right to. I could be collecting interest if this money was in my savings account.

I believe they out right stole this money from me and there is no way to prosecute a company. They would not even accept the phone number to my attorney.

I was 6 days late making a payment once and when I called THEM to make a payment a wanna-be ganster a-hole started saying things like, "What kind of man are you that you can't pay your bills?" and "What kind of father are you... I feel sorry for your kids" and things of this nature. I repeated myself many times that I was trying to MAKE A PAYMENT but he went on for 20 minutes until I finally hung up, called back and got someone else who was simply ready to take my payment. This is the WORST company, the MOST unprofessional company I have ever experienced in my life. I would advise ANYONE and EVERYONE to avoid them, do not do business with them at all. Like someone else noted on this site, they do call your references, even if your not in collections but just late. They called my girlfriend while she was at work and completelty hasseled her. They wanted to contact me, which was weird because I received no calls on my cell phone (the only number they have for me) and the guy named Issac kept telling my girlfriend, "I think you know how you can help me. Why don't you give me the number that he's at"... and creeped her out completely. She is calling the police and better business bureau to make a formal complaint. When I finally got a hold of a "nice person" at Westlake Financial, this person said, "Yes we get tons of complaints. Some of the people here have been here a long time and simply don't care about the customers at all and they say horrible things to them". When I read about people getting extra charges and fees on their statements I don't doubt it. I will have to go back and thoroughly go through my statements now... they are incredibly disorganized and the people that work the phones are obviously uneducated. crass and use bullying tactics. What's worse is that they seem to simply enjoy hassling their customers. I really hope they get investigated and shut down.

We paid our truck off with these ###s and they still put it as a charge off on our credit, they never gave us the titles and that was 04/13/09 so I went to the title office and got a copy of the title.

Now if I did not pay them off how was I able to get the original copy of my title. I called and asked if they could remove the charge off and it has to be approved by a Mgr why. Currently awaiting for a call back from the Mgr 3 days tops.

I spoke with a so called supervisor here at the company named, Mr Campos, he was too scared to give me his first name! This company repossed my vehicle after missing on 1-2 payments and I had some personal belongings in the vehicle, they threw them out and would not allow any of my family members to come and get them, they are full of ***, I would stay away from them. In the beginning they were all nice and happy to have me as a customer, then they got ***! NEVER USE THEM OR YOU WILL GET BURNED!

Westlake Financial is a third rate, garbage financial company. My husband and I had no choice, but to use them because the vehicle we picked out is a 2002 with over 250, 000 miles on it. No bank would finance it. So, like I said we didn't have a choice. Anyway, these people are stalkers. We couldn't make our due date a couple of times. They will call you 9-10 times a day. STALKERS! It is not like we were even 30 days late. I mailed out the payment. This wasn't good enough. They just demanded their payment, so I had to stop a payment on a check. They will do nothing about waving a late charge or anything! Most good companies will do this. So now we are stuck with a $15 late charge from them and a $33 stop payment fee from my bank. If you can avoid this third rate company at all please do so.

I've had westlake for over a year now, and I must say they are very disrespectful and they lie. First off they call your house and talk to anyone who answers the phone. One guy called my house and asked for my husband by just the first name like they were friends and when i asked who was calling he said that doesn't matter tell him to quit ducking me. I let him have a piece of my mind with some very good choice words. Then they have this indurance scam going on. They say the term is 6 months at a very low rate, but when the 6 mths is up you are still paying for this insurance. I called to ask WTF is going on they told me they don't renew the insurance but you have to pay for it for the life of the loan. The 1 rep told me we only have collision and that's why we the payment was so low and couldn't be renewed and another rep told me we have full coverage and they don't renew policies it's a one time deal but we broke the payments down to last the life of the loan. ### they are scam artist and I will take your advice and go to the BBB.

Westlake Financial Services Fraudulent company

Well I see I am not the only one in this situation. I have been receiving my calls up to 20 a day. I refuse to answer since it is on my cell phone. I am not behind but I do go into my 10 day grace period depending on my bills to pay what payday. One day this dumb Mexican, probably illegal in our country, tells how many times they have called me...Guess...250 times. I have filed numerous complaints with the FTC, of course they can't do anything until a petition is signed.

Well so far I have saved all my messages from them and the past 2 days have been the best, they act like they are a recovery company on a walkie talkie on their way to pick up my vehicle. They tell their name of their company but they make the Nextell walkie talkie beeping sound to block true name. I went through all my saved messages an wrote down all the numbers they leave and you can tell it is the same people. Today this Jackie calls and uses a number from my state which is Tennessee, and she leaves a number for me to call back. She instructed me that her driver is going to be here at 3pm and if the vehicle is not here then she will know I am hiding it.

Well DUH! We do work! And she instructed that the vehicle is to be clean like in the way of spotless. How funny! The other day she told my daughter I gave her the vehicle, and my daughter tells her she doesn't know what she's talking about. Well these people are so abusive with this, and it is getting out of hand. I want someone to contact me concerning the lawsuit because I have my hard evidence on them also. I am due on the 17th and I get calls on the 17th saying I am late.

My bank sends out the payment through them due to the fact Westlake has stolen my debit card info and took money out of my account without permission not once but 3 times They said the clearinghouse gave them my information. I have had to change my bank account and kill my card, and they try very hard to get me to give them my card again, DON'T EVER GIVE THEM YOUR CARD! I personally think they illegal in the US. They might can get by with those tactics in Mexico with their DRUGLORDS pushing them to do it.

I even sent them letters back and gave them the info on my account of what I owe, and they are trying to make me pay more than what is suppose to be. They also charged my dealership the money which I got that $3200 charge. I only have a $7000 dollar note now, but the harassment is not worth it. I called back the number that the lady this morning called me, Jackie, well the 888 number was a fax and the 615 number was a disconnected number. So how are they spoofing these numbers and getting by with it? Isn't that ILLEGAL? Now if it was us Americans doing that we would go to jail!

I ABSOLUTELY THINK THEY ARE BEING RUN BY A DRUGLORD AND THEY ARE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS! I ask who ever is filing this lawsuit to please count me in and I can provide the voice mails.

I have about 4 payments left on my 36 month term. My payment is due on the 7th of every month. The first of the month my phone starts ringing off the hook through out the day and the 7th has not yet arrived. One day i decided to answer the phone and they say we are calling about your payment due. I said well considering my payment is due on the 7th and today is the 2nd why are you calling its no wear near pass due and its always paid on the 7th online via debit card. She says well you can give me your card number today and ill hold it until the 7th. Instant hang up. The company is very unproffesional at times. I wish i had not cosigned for this car as im stuck with a 2nd car note for a car that just sits in my garage, but its better than having my credit damaged as they were the only ones to give my partner a shot on buying a car with his credit history. The calls throughout the day do get extreamly annoying however ive learned to work the Call filter on my phone so they never get thru to me. It picks up the phone and hangs it up right away. There was one incedent to where the payment was about 17 days late which i was unaware of. I got a phone call and i said i had no i dea im the cosigner ill make the payment tomorow when i get paid. The lady said ok. Hung up the phone and i got a call from another company saying we are coming out to pick up your vehicle you need to call us back right away. There reasoning for calling the repo man was because they can have the vehicle picked up at any point and time if they feel like it. I said the account is not even 30 days past due its at 17 days you just finaly called the cosigner today and i offered to pay it in the morning when i get paid. she stated thats not her problem and you need to pay it now or we will come pick up the vehicle. I couldnt belive the rudeness and the lack of professionalism in the conversation. I just told her well do what you have got to do and hung up the phone. I called my x and asked where he was and i asked to use the car and he never got it back and its been in my garage since about an hour after i got off the phone with her. Good luck finding it. I will not deal with this finance company again nor would i recomend it to anyone. You would be better off doing the buy here pay here mabye or even catching the bus until you can get your credit together or cash together to pay cash for somthing. Every month they call starting on the first and every month they get automaticly hung up on since the due date isnt until the 7th. They will call back to back to back to back. Mabye somone will start a class action against them in the near future. ALSO Check your monthly payments. Today i went through and added up the total payments so far and compared it to the contract its over paid about 1500$ however westlake has no explination of this and is not willing to assist in the matter just wants to know if they can have my payment right now thats due in 2 days. A complaint has been filed with BBB and they wont get another dime from me

This was my complaint to the BBB on Westlake Financial and its affiliates…I have a problem with a car dealership that went bankrupt and a financial institution relocation without notification to a consumer that is still running a bad business practice. On June 2007 I had traded my 04 Chevy Impala Vin# for a 2001 Dodge Durango (lemon vehicle & was on Recall) which were both purchased at Glendale Car Connection. When I had inquired to trade in my 01 Dodge Durango my credit report was pulled up and I found out that Glendale Car Connection & Colfax Financial did not pay off my 2004 Chevy Impala that all along it became a repossession on my credit report for about $20, 000. When I purchased the 01 Dodge Durango they did not put the trade of the 04 Impala on my bill of sale which they only gave me and i never received a contract from Glendale Car Connection because they said they would keep it. I question it first but they talked me out of receiving 1 at the time. I also asked why the 04 Impala was not on the bill of sale that does have a trade column on it, my sales person which his name was Lalo Sanchez saids its OK we will fix it for you and not to worry. So I trusted him and his manager name was Domingo. The main manager at that time was Cathy which approved the trade as long as I had put $1000 down payment so I agreed. I needed a bigger vehicle and I had traded a vehicle with them before and they had previously paid that which is in Colfax history because they were the dealers at the time that did this, so I thought its OK. The 01 Dodge Durango was financed thru Westlake Financial. When making this transaction Colfax Financial was nowhere to be located and their office was replaced by Stan Credit along with their phone number and so at that time I advised if they were affiliated with Colfax and they said they were replaced by them and so I advised Stan Credit that the 2004 Impala was being traded and the vehicle was at Glendale Car Connection lot and that Glendale Car Connection would call to pay off the vehicle. So they said it was fine and not to worry about it and that they would contact them also. I had called Stan Credit about 1 hour after I had traded the vehicle and they said the process of transaction was underway. So i did not bother until 3 weeks into the month of July 2007 I took my 01 Dodge Durango in for repairs and GCC had closed down without notice and i had my vehicle scheduled for repairs they left without a trace. No forwarding address or phone number. Because of this I tried calling Stan Credit to see if my 04 Impala was paid off, they advised me that my information was no longer in their system. Stan Credit had my information during the trade and how is it that they dont have any information on my vehicle anymore. So I figured OK my vehicle is paid off. I was confused for a while but went along with my business, not knowing of whats going to happen to my credit report UNTIL NOW. I recently called directory assitance for Colfax Financial and they found 2 locations 1 on Bell Rd and the other on 3302 N 35th Ave Phx AZ [protected]..Their previous location in Scottsdale is 7607 E Mcdowell Rd #107 Scottsdale Az [protected]. I had recently called Colfax and spoke with a manager name Veronica which during my trade in she was just a regular employee. She states that it is a repossession of the 04 Impala and that they cannot do anything for me due to Glendale Car Connection Bankruptcy and they never received payment from them for the vehicle. So we exchanged words but everytime I talked she would talk over me so she would not listen to word I even said to her. It seems to me that Stan Credit and Colfax Financial is running a bad scam business along with GCC. It seems that they dont care about anyone's credit report especially me and my wife's which still shows $20, 000 REPO. My request is all i ask for is my credit report to be fixed the correct way because the REPO shouldn't even be on there at all. So overall WESTLAKE FINANCIAL never paid for my impala as a trade in? Possibly whose fault it was for the bad deal? Questions remain until I know the truth behind these hypocrites companies that are still in business. An yeah you miss 1 whole month and the so called repo people will get you, had them do that to me before but they never came. Still paid it they got their money. About the late fees I thought I paid it but its still showing on my online statement. What a joke this Co. is and it will be the last time I will deal with them again. UUUrrrGGGhhhh

Obviously Merideth works for them. I am 8 days ...yep 8 days late on my payment. I mail it in every month without fail - and my payment went out on friday. It takes 5 days or less to get there. Today a make believe repo company called me. Stated they have been by my house and my vehicle wasnt there. I explained to them I mailed the check off friday but that wasnt good enough - she wanted me to pay by phone today. I said No because you will get my check and cash it and I dont have that kind of money to pay twice. They got billigerant and I said your the repo company right ...she said right ..I said then where are you now because my vehicle is right here at work with me which I am sure is listed with my account. Next thing I know she has me on hold and then I hear a westlake rep ...I said I didnt ask to speak to a westlake rep ...she said well you seem like you want to keep the vehicle ...I said makes no differance to me because I have been dealing with you ###s for 2 yrs now ...the chic from westlake still insisted on me making a payment now ..I said you can either wait 5 days to get the payment in the mail or come get it. I then advised her I needed to know which one she was gonna do - she said we cant wait ..I said ok then ..come pick it up and I will stop payment on the check ...I hung up and cleaned my vehicle out - I have been talked to like a dog sooo many times in 2 yrs ..threatened ..belittled ...and on and on ..yeah my credit may suck but I wil ride a bicycle before I lower myself to there standards ...Oh did I mention my car payment for an 05 suzuki is almost more then my house payment? Yet I accepted it because I knew my credit was rough - I paid 14000. for the vehicle ...double that is what I will finish paying. Yet ..I knew that before I bought it - what I didnt know was I would be dealing with such rudeness and arrogance ...so today after 3 calls from the "repo" company ...to which I said COME GET IT ...HERE IS WHERE ITS AT ..TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE CALLERS ...I am done with this company ..go back to driving my old truck ...and save that massive payment a month until I have enough to buy something out right - which wont take long - these people are just NOT worth the headache - DO NOT FINANCE WITH THESE PEOPLE ! RUN RUN RUN

Yeah I am defaulting. I told them I was headed into bankruptcy and offered to refinance at a fair price. (I was going to offer 5000 at 10% interest on 7000$ at 20% interest but they didn't want to hear about it.) A couple a weeks later reason set in and it went to 4000 at 10% interest. A couple of months later the brakes started grinding so I am calling them to have it picked up or for me to drop it off. If asked I will tell them that I am now willing to pay 3500$ at 10% interest but I don't think they will bother. For some reason my attorney is taking a really long time as he hasn't given me a draft yet and its been a month now. That means I can take my car off the assets page I guess. They did call like 20 times a day for the first month and it is all Mexican but now its like 1-3 times a day. I guess I would use them again. Heh.

I am glad that I am not a customer of this firm. I did have the misfortune of dealing with theses ### however. They contacted my home phone in error, a classic wrong number. I did not know the individual they were seeking nor ever did and I never owned a vehicle like they described. They refused to listen to my wife or I about them reaching a wrong number. They harassed us for a little over a month. I got so fed up with the situation that I reported them to the authorities and had all calls on my phone traced. Interestingly enough the harassment ceased when the traces began.

Woah! Such ignorance! First off, you need touch up on your grammar and spelling. Second, the owner of Westlake is White old fart, and so is the VP, the SVP and half of the people there...so check your facts before you speak.! Third, at least those "Mexicans" can afford to pay their bills! Remember they are calling you because you obviously purchased a car you cant afford. Don't be upset because those "Mexicans" have more $$$ then you.

Westlake Financial Services Bad service

Im going through the same problems as the person that was told to make the payments and the car was not going to get repossed then when payments were made they said they couldnt help. They would see what they could do then every time I asked to speak with a supervisor I was either hung up on or interrupted and not transfered, finally when I spoke to a supervisor he just commented that I would not be in this situation if I had made my payments completely unprofessional, then when I asked for corporate infromation from the supervisor they refused to provide me wit it and completed changed the subject. All of the people I spoke where completely rude from the straight beginning even when my payments where on time and I called just to verify other information. I would like to try and take legal actions against this company because of the false statements and the violation of my privacy rights when account was not paid in full. I understand how collections work but no one has the right to disrecpect or look down on anyone for any reason specially when you end up having to pay each month a hefty amount of your hard earned cash.

Now I keep track of all my bills each and every month: they are 1st written out, next to the amount due, then followed by the "due date". When the bill has been paid, it is noted, along with the date paid in red ink - every bill...

Westlake Financial Services Monthly payments

I was 1 day late for a payment and not only did I receive 3 calls from them...my references that I had placed were all called and harassed and threatened! They told me I had a 6 day grace period..B.S. Wouldn't recommend them at all! They have called family members and co-workers! They have given my information out to other people and have violated the FDCPA. Disrespectful, undignified, unfair and untrue. Stay away from WESTLAKE FINANCIAL, they are a pain in the rear and will give you false information and have been threatened by them!

Westlake is giving me until the 30th of this month which is nov. to make my nov. payment. I call them early to let them know that I would not be able to make this months payment. I'm on a fixed income, normally I make my payment on time but this month I could not make the payment. Now one month behind they want to send me to collection. You are right they are very nasty people. I wander what can be done about this situation, so if anyone can help me with this I would like a response please. I am disabled and on a fixed income, but my bills has never been late with them except for this one time, as a matter of fact I made a double payment in one month and never got payment for it. Can anyone help? Also I stll have the receipt for it. Once again, they are full of BS. I agree totally and I think we all need to petition them, because they are scamming everyone. My recommendations are that no one do business with them at all. What would you all say about taking them to the BBB. I don't understand why they cannot make that double payment towards Nov. payment.

obviously, susy has never had westlake financial as a financial lender. This company goes way beyond anything normal when it comes to collection attempts. I pay them every month, before their due date, at Bank of America with direct deposit to their account. I continually recieve harrassing phone calls from them every month for over a week after payment has been made. They must have the slowest "system" on the face of the planet. They routinely contact relatives and friends and are very rude. they have given my account balance and told them that my vehicle was going to be repossessed, when all the while they have payment already. they jump straight into attack mode. there is no friendly "maybe you forgot to send your payment" letters like with other lenders. My credit is poor due to a recent divorce. i WAS forced to use them as a lender. But my credit is getting fixed. I will refinance or pay off. I do not know GLO. but i do know westlake financial. They need to be sued.

A grace period is a courtesy that a finance company may offer & revoke at any time, it is not required by law. If you are unable to make your payment on time don't expect the finance company to just sit around waiting for you to decide to make a payment. You signed a contract and if you fail to comply then be aware that the finance company has the right to collect from you because guess what?!?! YOU OWE THEM MONEY! No one forced you to finance your vehicle through Westlake! There are many finance institutions you could of choose from. Next time don't sign a contract if you cannot honor it! Seriously? How many days past due were you?

Westlake Financial Services Unprofessional service!

My father is sick and requires massive health care. It's expensive. I fell behind by 9 DAYS in my car payment and Westlake Financial called me. Mr. Romero asked me what was going on and so I told him. He then proceeded to tell me that my father being sick has nothing to do with not making my car payments. I asked him, "Why did you ask if you don't really care?" Then Mr. Poyton and I agreed to stagger the payments. He asked that I fax over several documents to prove my residence, workplace, income, and a letter agreeing to the staggered payments that THEY suggested. I did that. Later that day a "Repo" man came to my home seeking me. He did not have a business card or identification. My father asked him to leave our property. I called Westlake and asked him what was going on. Mr. Romero said that he did not approve the letter and my car was going to be repossessed. I asked for his supervisor and he flat out refused to give me the information. I called seven different departments, seven different times and I was directed to Mr. Romero each and every time. I eventually had to write a letter to the President of the Company. He has yet to respond. What a surprise!

The previous post is right on. This company is terrible and I would not recommend them to anyone. If an auto dealership offers you a loan from Westlake Financial, run as far away as you can. You deserve better customer service and professionalism than this company.

I find it absurd that you even have the gall to conteract the facts. Your company totally abuses, lies, cheats, scams the ones you are suppose to be working with. It is one thing to try to collect and it is another thing to make 6 calls within two hours, not to mention your call and hangups when anwered. I just loved it when my daughter sent into your company, a payment of over $2000. only to have it sent back, 'because your company policy does not recieve prepayments'. Really! OMG! Would that mean 'uh, you would recieve less interest payments?' Or would that mean you just could not have anything to harrass her on? God forbid if that happened! Yes, it is one thing to not recive payments for the car loan, that has been purchased. It is totally another thing, to have companies like you who live and feed off others misfortunes. I have never dealt with a company as corrupt as WESTLAKE FINANCIAL! We did co-sign for my daughters loan and we are appaled at your antics and totally disregard at recieving payments and then turning around, saying 'you have not recieved payment at all'. One thing, I would love to know, do you and your employees sleep well at night. Yes, I am sure your are feeding and taking care of your families, but is there a little voice in the back of your head, saying 'this totally wrong!' How can you guys sleep good at night. just remember, Karma! 'What comes around will go around' People like you will get the same as you guys give!

I find it absurd that most of you are complaining about collection tactics, its very simple to fix... Make your payment on time as agreed. You obviously signed a legal contract stating that you would do so. You received a car and balk at the attempts they make to collect on it. Westlake is a business like any other and they can not be expected to feel sorry for you whether you lost your job, became ill, or simply fail to be responsible. Westlake deals primarily in sub prime credit, typically the bottom of the barrell so if you financed with them then your most likely lucky that anyone would even give you a loan. Americans need to make responsible decisions and quit expecting government and businesses to bail them out everytim they make a purchase they can not pay for. Problems due occur yet responsible people have a savings that they can fall back on. Perhaps we should try living within our means even if that means buying a car that is not the latest, greatest gas guzzler. Let's get bck to basics and not spend money we don't have.

I pay CASH for everything; and now I know whay. I DON'T have BAD CREDIT... I have NO CREDIT, that's all. I got sucked into a car loan with Westlake Financial as I have to get to WORK. I work for the Federal Gov't (USPS), long hours loading and unloading aircraft in all kinds of weather for many years. I PAY MY BILLS...however Westlake cannot seem to get their 'stuff' together and/or my ADP/Aline account or both as the payments are not going through. I do however keep being told to 'wait' afew day for the 'process to take place' and it's the same every time, bottom line the payment doesn't go through. Still working on it though on MY end; that's all I can do.

Today when companies are falling because they have no business meaning customers. Westlake is doing a bad job assisting there customers. This company is quick to repo your car with being late a few days instead of working to keep you as a customer. ### happens this is life, if someone needs a few days or if there is a reasonable explanation for a late payment why not work with them accordingly. Unfortunate a company that states on there website they offer "World class service" is full of crap.

I have never had a car payment or anything other then a mortgage for about a year now and I'm regretting it now. Westlake is the most unprofessional, ignorant, idotic, company I have ever had to deal with I have my mortgage through HSBC who can be tough at times but they are nothing compared to Westlake Financial. I lost my job in June 09 the same month I brought my car which is financed through Westlake and scrapped up the money to pay for the first payment in July and informed them of my situation in regards to the following payment being made on time. We're now in September and they have been so direspectful and uncooperative I told them to come get the car just so I don't have to deal with them especially because this is my first time ever paying a car payment. One of their Collection Reps. even calle dme ridiculous for not being able to make my 2nd payment and losing my job when I explained to him that I held my job for 6 months before being let go unexpectedly he laughed and said "What are you kidding me 6 months why did you purchase the car if you didn't have a secure job?". I asked for a Supervisor and he just went on and on until I hung up then he had the nerves to call the number back that I called from which was a place of business that I just use the phone and harrassed the person who answered swearing to her that she sounded like me. I then spoke to another Rep. who wasn't as bad but refused to place in notation on my account that I would be making at least one payment by the end of the month because I just started a job and should be getting paid this week and again before the end of the month. I asked him for a Supervisor he claimed they we're in meetings but provided me with an extension upon request so for all those going through what I am or worst just hang in there in the end you will come out the winner they need your money more then you need their service.

I purchased my vehicle in 2006. I was paying my car note on time. I then came into some financial hardships that cause me to fall behind. Bottom line, the representative told me that I could bay a certain amount, and then pay the other amount 2 weeks after. Then when my payment came I would only pay half for that month. I wasn't able to pay on that...
