I am a single working mother of three children. I put down 3, 000 dollars on a car and not even within 28 days my car was repoed.Talk about not having patience then was not allowed to catch the one payment I was behind.

I had signed the buyout paper with American car center and they went out of business before I revived my title showing them as lien holder couldn’t tag vehicle was months before I heard from west lake I’ve tried to get my title so I could tag my car couldn’t drive it so I didn’t make payments I feel they defaulted on the contract they now have repoed my vehicle I feel like there needs to be a class action suit taken against them nothing else will help they are just stealing from us and getting away with it
They just took mines after I made a payment. I have always stayed in communication with them and all. Never went out of the 30 day mark and now I have lost my car at 2am in the morning. And when I asked for the original order they didn’t have it.
It was still under us auto sales at DMV but they repo it an sold it at auction Westlake is wrong nothing little me could doo

Just happened to me today as well I paid 1500 down payment I mixed up the date for my payment they called last week and I told them I would have the payment by the end of this week they said okay, I made the payment last night they repossessed the car this morning and said there’s nothing I can do because they ALREADY SOLD IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. I call the dealership they want me to come in and pay another down payment and take out another loan to get my car back
I put down 3000 dollars had car for 40 days was hospitalized but made pmt twelve days late they repossed my car. Called them they told me they didn't do it to call police report it stolen! Give days late now they still say they didn't I have the paperwork in hand they still says loan active and in good standing but I can't get my car back. They are crooks in my opinion I plan to take legal action

Of course Westlake FINANCIAL services violated my rights as a Consumer natural person. Purchase a car 2/18/22 , complaints went out to the company after I saw many violations of several laws. Sent cease and desist, debt validation letters and contact the company with no regards to human life. So as of now my car was repossessed 11/13/22 no judge to sign the repossession writ ! Down payment or a credit transaction. Fraud, no Installment contact. File repeatedly with the CFPB, and FTC. at this point I seeking remedy, car and title. For one missed payment.

Rude aggressive repod my vehicle before it was ever delquent paid half my bill on the 8th that wasnt owed on the 10th car was repod on the 14th while I was trying to pay them then they went from 242 to 2095 fees for repo paper work for using a flat bed tow truck for the tow for everything never contacting me at all wyf that’s robbery where I come from they strong 💪🏼 armed my truck after 20 on time payment
Worst company they are harassing and rude and want to charge for everything.

Due to me having COVID I had missed 1 payment by 22 days it hasn’t been 30 days yet, even told them that I would be able to make a payment the same week which would bring my account up to date but they still want to process getting my car taken away. They are inconsiderate and rude and don’t even work with people nor are they understanding smh. Normally banks would process a repossession if you are late 3 consecutive payments.
My car we repossessed over a week ago, I paid the repossession off the same day, it was taken...now two weeks later I still don't have my car. They have not sent the release papers to the tow yard. My kids have missed school and I have missed work. This is very unprofessional

I paid online with the same credit I been paying with June & July and I have confirmation to prove it .each time the payments where rejected they blamed my bank I called my bank my bank disagrees they have no reason to do so .
They picked the car up yesterday evening without a notice or email or call best part is I have now paid a over the amount of $1297 I was told that was due in order to obtain the vehicle back this company has not sent release form to Par North America and the Cease Towing company to release the vehicle I was told prior to paying the amount it was $1001.00 and it would only take four hours once I paid for release form to be sent out I waited the time now they are stating in real time form takes 24-48 hours . Had I would have know this I wouldn't have continued with this company. The second month of me having this car a issue came about similar. Last night I was told $1001. To clear and gain vehicle back this morning as well when I paid after contacting Par Noth America and cease Towing to confirm everything westlake Financial increased the amount to 1297.28 but also took 1,302.28 out of my account today my payments are only $367 which I paid June & July of 2022 and I truly have confirmation numbers , westlake financial blames there system verbally but still has the car on hold though I have never paid them with another credit/debit card. I was also told I'm 54 days behind with late fees . 367 x2 =$734 how did they get $1300 plus dollars this company scamming there customers and blaming there system designed to either reject payments or not accept hoping to do what has been done to me extra fees and money tied in a wire . Not to mention the owner of the company is tied in with support with Wellfargo 3 years after wellsfargo got in all that trouble [protected] . Not a good look he's worth 5.5billion and has a online system and app system that doesn't work properly . Makes no sense.WellsFargo is a Scamming Bank who took 9k from my account 2week ago and has not yet returned it . Yelp is also tied in with wellfargo and are partners. Folks we Gotta Be Careful and alert ... the owner Hankey has reps from India and the Philippines running his rep side and it's not a good call if ever you have to make one Westlake does not care about the issues they have .on there end it's geared to fault the customers as if I didn't make the payments initially worse part the will report to credit bureaus as if I'm incapable of making payments on time . SMH we need to come together and sue westlake financial

Someone HELP PLEASE , I was in an accident, my payments are current, this company repo my car (without telling me )the next day after my accident, and now they refuse to give me the vehicle back to get it fixed by my insurance. My insurance was willing to pay the tow fees but this company kept giving us the run around and it turns out they sent my car to get auctioned the same week. So I lost my car , the insurance wouldn't pay me because they couldn't get the estimate on the damages of my car. And to top it off I still owe the car! Even though I didn't want them to take it!

Me as well I even aid the entire balance of my loan with them yesterday and the tacked on extra fees and have yet to release my car they say call back ever hour but the should really be sued

Can I give them negative 100 stars, literally having the same trouble as others car was repossessed for unpaid late fee? wtf? a late fee that I was never told about when THEY posted a payment a payment to the account late, it was taken from my bank account on time but according to the worker that told me if I was responsible and took care of my obligations I wouldn't be in this situation, ummm my payment was taken from my account the day it was due then you apply it to the account late and then take my car for UNPAID LATE FEES WTF, and workers on the phone so hateful unprofessional, I have no words for how horrible they ALL are, none of them had the same story on when I can get my car back, i was told if i did a money gram i can have my can that same day, if i pay with ATM i have to wait at least 72 hours, so i rush down to get a money gram so i can get the car back today, payment is processed they have my money and still wont release the car, now a different person said i will have to wait 24-48 hours even though my payment was made as instructed. all the workers have ZERO customer service and tact. they are a total nightmare, hd the loan 2 of 3 years and they WILL CALL YOU THE DAY THE PAYMENT IS DUE even if it has been paid just not updated in their system. like WTF all the workers a trash in my book. fraud company get away from them as soon as possible.

This company is full for it for real the lie and they don't know how to talk to you at all, , ok I have paid to get my car and have don't all that is need it it been 24hours and still have not got my car, , I have called and talked to the people that have my car they even email and called to see when will my car be released .I have ever heard it going to 1-2 days I'm to the ends for my rope's with them and I only missed one payment really, , I need to find out who I can talk to before.i call a lawyer
The first word that comes to mind is HORRIBLE! The customer service is awful. They don't seem to know what they are talking about. They do not do what they discuss with you on the phone. The person who was dealing with them sent them a payment almost a week ago to get their car from reposesson. Everyday since then, he has called many times a day to see if he could pick up his car. However, their answer every time was " the paperwork is processing." He called again today to find out after paying $750 almost a week ago, the car was still sent to auction. Paying the $750 was to avoid this happening. He was told on top of all the fees he has already paid, he will now have to pay an extra $400 to get it out from auction. Had Westlake Finanicial processed the paperwork in time, this would not have happened. Westlake Finanical's customers service response to this happening that was, that it was not their problem, he will need to pay the $400. They also said, the paperwork is still not done being processed, he will still not be able to pick up his car. This company is horrible, they are rude, and even if you pay them on time, they screw you over. It's terrible what they did to this person. They are a complete nightmare.
My fiancée had a car financed through them. We were going to Wells Fargo and making the payments on time and she was hospitalized. While she was recovering we fell one month behind. We were staying at a hotel. They repoed our car and stole identity information. Since then our daughters bank account has been killed by theft. We had some of her stuff from college, they took it all. We never received a report to claim our property, in fact their report states we were combative and they will not answer calls, even the ones we were making to pay them that payment over the phone. Now they have all of our identity information and her computer, tv and have caused issues that have required us to contact the FDIC and Federal Reserve. They don't only ripoff your car, they steal your identity.

This company is rediculous! They can't decide how they want there payments, I pay them one way for months at a time and then they call saying they don't accept payments like that however I send them. So t where is my money going? Once my truck is paid off I will NEVER go through them again! Also they need to hire people that speak English everyone I talk to I can not understand. They are not an understanding company and they act like they never have a hard time. Just very rude people!

I tried to buy a car from a dealer in NYC who uses Westlake Financial. I have excellent credit (high 700's) and about 30 years of excellent credit history. The dealer told me that Westlake turned me down! OK, so I get that Westlake is a subprime lender, but I wouldn't have expected that they are ONLY a subprime lender. Apparently my credit is too good! It appears they only want to lend to people who have little to no credit or poor credit in hopes that they will get to repo the car again and again. The car I was trying to buy is a repo and we were told we would get a discounted price if we "qualified" for a loan with Westlake for enough to cover the previous owner's loan. Lo and behold they tell me I don't qualify, but I can still get the car if I pay $5k more! Nice. I'm in the lending business myself and, when I talked to the girl at the dealership about why I was not qualified, it turned out she was completely misreading my credit report. For every account she named a balance on, she was not reading the current balance (mostly $0's), she was reading the HIGHEST balance each account ever had--- ever --- from when the account was opened, in some cases >10 years ago. My husband and I concluded that this is some kind of scam where they get to keep repo'ing over and over again. After reading all this, I'm kind of glad not to be involved with Westlake, but am still thinking about whether to take any action in terms of complaining about Westlake and this dealer. If anyone does start a class action suit, please keep us all informed!

the other $4435. Goes to westlake they basically triple their profit while hard-working poor pay 21thousand dollard for a 4thousand dollar car they sold you for 10thousand
that should be illegal and their practices are illegal
you have to send a letter to cure allow the custome to pay back balance
send a certified letter to say you are in default and in danger of repo state the amount and due date
when you dont make that payment they send a letter of repossession
they repo car
then they cant sell it
they have to send you a notice of the costs for repo and owed money and give you time to answer and pay
then
they have to send you a notice of auction
and tell you the date time and place where the car is being auctioned so you can go see what they sell it for
minus a open insurance claim they did not allow to cont. Or repair the car
and then
send you a notice of accounting for the auction price the car was sold for
and deduct the auction sale, from the owed balance
if they do not do the above legally you do not have to pay them and they can not put it on your credit report
keep emails and pictures of your accounting payments made balances owed, disputes in amount owed and payments made etc.
The more you know about the law the better suited you are to deal with companies like this
start a class action lawsuit enough people join and send in documented proof the more likely this company will not longer be able to do what they do

Nah fr tell me y i got a car through westlake and i was supposed to make my payment december 6 2023 and i called the to tell em im have issue with my bank that i can i pay at a later time 2weeks and the supervisor said yeah that it he put it in my file but i will get charge interest for of 25 i said fine idm tell me y i made the payment in a week and come to find out im suppose to make another payment for January 6 2024 and and the dealership i bought my car called me today to tell me they i need to bring my car in that it has been repossessed and called westlake to let them know and they told me the dealship paid off the car cuz i missed my first payment it that normal pls cuz im confused asf rn
They are all very rude and unprofessional, I called trying to be extra nice, just wanting to ask a question and could hardly get the question out before they were cutting me off and raising their voice. There was absolutely no reason to be so rude and argumentative. Even when I was able to get the question out, it seemed as if they didn't understand English!
My boyfriend and I are having the same problems it seems everyone else is having. These people call like the very next day your payment's late. And they call like every 3 hours. And I repeat myself over and over again asking to change our due date to the end of the month because that's when we both get paid. I've asked them to look at the previous monthly payements they all fall at the end of the month. I get, well Ma'am we can only put it to such and such date after that we have to call but if you'd like to leave a credit card we can take it out automatically, uh hell no! Which to me is poor customer service, I'm at least trying to work with them. Oh and I've gotten well you're account is in default because you are 5 days late. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! 5 DAYS LATE! I can't wait to pay our vehicle off so I won't ever have to deal with these idiots EVER again.
I have paid three months in advance and they posted my payment to someone else account. I am now receiving calls that I am late. Frank a poor customer service rep was rude as with every individual that I have spoke with except for one. They keep saying they are working on it. I can not log in to my online account because they have it listed as past due. I am thinking the Better Business Bureau may be my best chance other than contacting my back for fraudulent charges. They are using my money to pay someone elses account.
