Walmart - Weed Eater / poor after sales service!

Purchased Weed Eater (R) from walmart. After two months the battery went dead/ Model WLT24/ Original
power, Inc customer service [protected]- the "customer service" lady states we have to call their parts place/ [protected] tried for two weeks ALWAYS BUSY. Their service dept will feel your pain and show condolences, and that is it. Also their web place originalpower.com./weedeater doesn't really help either. They really don't do anything.

I bought a Weedeater WLT23 from WalMart on March 30 2007, used it maybe 10 times. Today is Aug 4 and the batteries are dead. Called the # on the instruction manual (800-540-5688) and was told that someone from customer service will call me back in 48-72 hours and that this rep. will probably offer to LET me buy new batteries at 50% off. WOW what a deal. Then in 3 or 4 months maybe I can do it all over again. I'm going to buy a new trimmer and it WON'T be a Weedeater product.
