Walmart poor service!

I just recently had my first child and she was 5 weeks old and my nephews were here from out of state and I wanted to take all of them together and have their pictures made since they won't get to see her much. I went and bought them new outfits that were beachy for the summer and thought it would be fun to have some backdrops of the beach... Being that we are all beach lovers being from florida.

Well upon arrival Whitney and another employee, I don't recall her name but anyhow they were sitting there talking about another customer that was coming in for pictures and were talking bad about her and her children I assume they are regular customers... I found it to be very unprofessional. The other girl even made a comment that she shouldn't be talking about clients like that well that went on for like 15 min. finally she acknowledges that we are still standing there- she wasn't creative at all in finding different poses she kept asking us what we wanted to do? I was only in one picture with my baby and nephews the rest were of my nephews - she was just taking random pictures they could of had done at school in my opinion- she even put hats on them purple and red from the red hat club and they are 7 & 10 I found it to be so unprofessional to put womens big fluffy red and purple hats on kids that age- or any age for that matter! Then we asked for the beach background and that was a problem she could only fit the 3 of them in it- and the ones she did take with the beach background she didn't include any props like most photographers do... no sand buckets, star fish, beach towel, nothing and then my nephews bought these necklaces that most surfers wear she told them to put it in their shirts to hide it! What was supposed to be a fun experience turned out to be a nightmare- the pictures were nothing to brag about I haven't even given any out yet... then she rushed us out so basically she alloted 30 min we got 15 min of her time and there were 4 of us- because she chose to talk about another client during my time. Also my daughter was only 5 weeks old so she slept through all the pictures but this girl was putting some germy dog squeak toy in her face.. I kept thinking okay don't loose your cool you have the boys with you- but I mean come on common sense people she was a newborn and if she was sleeping let her sleep and then the toy all in her face it was all I could do not to show out! The service was so bad my nephews were even upset when we left because they have had better experiences having their pictures taken at other places so I being the aunt apologized for the way she acted.. and that it wasn't what we thought it would be. Just a total bad experience and will not go there again- they ruined our day and they had to leave the next day so I wasn't able to get them in anywhere else before they left. It is sad they don't take a better look at the employees before they hire them I mean they are working with families!

On Feb.17, 2013 i went to the Picture me Portrait Studio at Walmart in Neptune, NJ and i have still till this day not received my son's pictures. I'm so mad i can spit.
This company is the worse and should be ashamed of themselves for taking my money, not giving me my son's pictures and lying to me that i would received them soon.

Wow ! Talk about horror stories. Well Im not gonna gripe. Im gonna give a couple tips. Pretty much all of us know other people who have gone to take pictures right? Ask them where they went and about their experience. If it was positive, ask who the photographer was. Call the studio and ask for your appointment to be with that photographer. Make your appointment the first or last one of the day. Then the photographer is pretty much all yours minus the interuptions and waiting. Bring your own props. Keep them small ie a favorite stuffed animal, toy, blanket. Never be in a hurry, especialy if you have a baby. They are some of the hardest subjects to photograph, and that perfect picture is gonna take time. Be nice . You would be amazed how far a smile, please and thank you will go. If your not happy with the vibe of the photographer its ok to leave. Try another photographer or studio. Pictures should bring up happy memories, not frustration.

I agree with PictureMe being an awful place to have your kids pictures taken! I have a 7 month old who we have taken to Wal-Mart every month to get the $4.99 package deal. For the first month, we got family pictures taken and spent about $180 on one of the large packages. After that, it was only our son for the $4.99 package. We always use the same girl because she really does well with our son. But, we just can't afford the huge packages each month. We just want good, affordable pictures to put in his baby book. Well, my biggest complaint is that the photographer keeps forcing us to accept the first pose taken as our package. Right on the advertisement for the $4.99 special, it says, "Choose your favorite pose!" How can she then force us to use the first picture for our package? I think this is so inconsiderate. She tried to tell us that 90% of the time, the first pose is the best. NOT! My son took some great poses towards the end of the session, but we had to pay for those separately because she forced us to take the first pose as the package.

My other complaint is that, as a Smiles Club member, we have the option of 10% off our order or Buy 1 Get 1 Free. I went ahead and bought a sheet of 2 5X7's of one of the good poses and my Mom wanted to use the B1G1F deal to get an 8X10 of that pose. The girl wouldn't let us. She said it had to be the same exact pictures as the one you bought. Why do we need 4 5X7's? It was completely ridiculous. My Mom tried calling the main number and they told her that it's up to local managers to decide how those options are offered. WTF? Why wouldn't they have consistant company policies across the board.

PictureMe needs to shape up or ship out!

I am not at all impressed by their rude behavior. I pre-puchased a collage (one for each of my children) and sheduled an appointment. They proceeded to tell me i had to make two appointments on seperate days because they only do one collag per family per day. Remember I pre-purchasedand this was never mentioned. I had kids in the car and I saw I had a voicemail. I thought better check quickly. Guess what it was walmart, their camera wasnt working. I tried to reschedule that was another nightmare. They told me they will not do two aapintment back to back. She then asked me if I was planning on buying a package in addition to what I already purchased. I said no and she said then we can only do three pics in one collage not the five. She said we dont make any money if you dont buy anything else. She was not explaining why I could not make two appointments at once and they I realized it was about the fact I was unwilling to spend more money. She was rude, uneducated and completely lacking any form of effective communication skills. I also had a bad experience at another walmart 30 mins from this one. Selinsgrove and Lewisburg Pa. They should be great for having a job. Some pay is better than no pay. If they dont like the pay scale they are working under than they should do what any other motivated individual would do, CHANGE it. If they choose to stay in that situation than they need to accept it for what it is and not take their feelings out on others (who are paying their salary). You dont want to work for 8 dollars an hour than do something to Change it. Stop being the victim.

I will say that i work for PictureMe portrait studio and I do agree with a lot of the comment left here, and I am quite appalled by some that I have seen as well. I am very sorry that those of you that have had bad experiences with the company have had these thing happen to you. I also agree with some of the other messages that the stores hire some really bad apples, while there are some really great ones too. I believe that customers and employees alike should be treated with respect and courtesy. As a photographer I do try to give my customers what they want after all you as the customer have to hang those pictures on the wall. I also believe that no matter what package you buy the picture should still be something that everyone can be proud of. I come from a very low income family and I personally know what it is like to not be able to afford expensive frivoulous things such as pictures. Yes, our goal is to sell you whatever we can, but I also think that as employees we need to be sensitive to our customers and what they want, need, and can afford. I will always take the best possible picture I can get, because not everyone can spend a ton on pictures. After all, we all want the memories, I know I'm one of those people. My customers mean everything to me and I hope that I can make my customers happy. There are times that cooperate rules get in the way of what I'm allowed to do, but I assure you that if I can find a way to do it, I will.

Ok as for Picture Me being a crappy place to work for I agree. I was sick with the flu and throwing up and because I couldn't find anyone to work for me they wanted me to come in. I am a manager, as a customer I wouldn't want anyone sick working with my child or myself. The place is all about making money. Who isn't? It's the companys poor ethics that is the problem. Picture Me is the same corporation as Sears Portrait studios..all a part of CPI. Corp. The training I received was less than two days and I was trained to be a manager. I have been a retail manager for a number of years and I'm wonderfull with customers. However you have customers who are always out to cheat you. They call customer service and make false complaints in the hopes of getting free stuff. No matter how nice you are you will still get parents who get upset with you because they don't like the way THEIR child smiles. Or if you can't get the baby to wake up and smile. Or if the child will not sit still long enough to get a picture. We put up with a lot. I like my job but not the company or their policies or the horrible customers who make false statements just to get something for free or a job themselves. We truely DO NOT make enough money to put up with even half of what we do.

Well let me start out by saying that i have been a photographer for almost seven years. I have worked at many studios (the picture people, olan mills, lifetouch, sears, jc pennys, portrait innovattions.) and they are all the same their goal is for you to spend as much money as possible. I love my job and enjoy every second i am at work. granted the company dose not always treat their employees right but that is just part of any job. what really makes me mad is people get on these sites and complain about how the photographer could not get their 3 week old baby to smile or how their three year old was throwing a fit and the photographers pictures came out bad. we are there to get you the best pictures possible and that is the key word there. If your child is in a bad mood or Dose not like getting pictures done how can we make them listen to us more than you can after all we are strangers. and yes we want you to spend money because well thats our job. So take it easy on the photographers cause there are some good ones out there and if you help them during your session you will see that you get better pictures

now as for the comapny's well they are all the same. they are intrested in money. Not all because the picture people was the best place i have ever worked, but most treat their employees like crap. we can not call in sick or leave early. we deal with all the complaints under a strick set of gidelines that we have to follow...like no refunds, no free pictures, no overtime, certian props for certian ages. things like that and it makes our job hard to deal with at times. i try my hardest to do everything i can to make my pictures the best i can and have very faithful customers who only come to me because of that. so the girl on here was right just cause you had a bad experience with one photographer in a corporate owned studio dose not mean we are all horriable. you just have to find one you like and stick with them.

as for pictures me i am about to start working there and it is a graeat studio. They have their flaws i am sure just like all other ones but hey when you come in with a cuopon for a $3.99 package and thats all you get or if you come in wioth no cupon and buy$500 worth of pictures it is the same to me. and you would recive the same services no matter what. i would still try my hardest to get you to buy but once again that is my job but i would not snap crappy pictures just cause you are getting a smaller package.

so be nice to the photographers and maybe they will suprise you...

Walmart go somewhere else or you will regret it

I wanted to complain about the walmart in renton, wa. When I went to get my glasses I noticed that I had to get them fixed about every two months because they kept getting loose or bending. They was good about getting them unbend to fix my face again. But about two years later I noticed that The coating they put on the glasses were coming off and I was getting scratches everywhere. Notice I got glasses that were suppose to be scratch proof. But that was not the case My glasses were poorly made the right side arm of the lens just came off one day. I was just sitting on my couch and I took them off to clean them off and I noticed part of my glasses were missing. The arm part was on my ear. Theres nothing they can do about them, I didn't wear them everyday, so I really don't know how that could of happen. So now I'm just walking around with clue on them till I get my new ones. The coating if so bad that its making my eye sight worse I can't see clearly out of them no more.

People always asking why my glasses look like that. The patches are getting bigger every time I clean them. I suggest not going to the walmart in renton if you need glasses. Please go somewhere else or you will regret it.

Walmart this store is disgusting!

If you want to return some article , purchased online, they never do it straight, will ask you other questions , there is not specified in the invoice of online purchase that you have to prove your identity while returning articles, which are sent to you wrong ( or not the same you ordered), after paying shipping charges at customer's account.

This is regarding customer service at walmart store #3420 , westbury long island new york 11590.

I would like to tell the person in charge that this particular place is very unpleasant for the business, you cannot find the customer complaint's form , which should be available there at right place, i saw the folder was empty and nobody tried sincerely to find one and give to me, one employee tried uselessly to print from the computer and wasted precious time of me and his, and answered me that he cannot, no specific answer if you ask for manager, almost every employee roaming around trying to avoid the questions.

This store is disgusting.

Very, Very surprised that the manager at this Walmart store # (3420) in westbury NY
didn't display her ID tag nor give her name when I asked for it. ( I got name from greeter at door) ...Le Fay, but dont know if it's the first or last name.

Manager "Le Fay" did not honor a store policy that clearly stated that an advertised item will be replaced with a comparable one when it is not available for the stated reason.

She looked to her minions to side with her.
Needless to say I got nowhere fast.

Walmart stuck with a product that I cannot afford to fix

I bought a portable dvd player from walmart. The player was made by philips. The player was purchased in 2005. When the player started acting up, I took it back to walmart. There I was told that the warranty was only for 90 days. In order to get help I would have to call a number for philips. Well, I called, told the warranty was only for a year. That I could buy another one at the price of 119.00. The thing is, the first on cost me 202.00. So, I told the person on the line I did not have that kind of money. She basically told me that was my problem and that she could not do anything else. So now I am stuck with a product that I cannot afford to fix. There is no way I will get stuck like this again.

Walmart unsatisfactory number of handicap carts

My mother was recently injured in an accident that has caused her to be in a wheelchair. We went to go shopping at Walmart and discovered that they had an insufficient number of motorized handicap carts. Because of this, Walmart lost over $200 of merchandise sales from my mother and I, along with the five other people we saw as we were leaving that would not be able to find another cart available. Not to mention the others that we did not see.

Upon asking for a cart, we were told rather rudely, may I add, "You are more than welcome to wait for 2 hours until a cart becomes available." Meaning, there were only 2 carts working at the time. One was in use while the other was charging. Where were the other carts you may ask? In the shop.

Walmart is a very large corporation. By not having a sufficient number of wheelchair accessible carts, they not only lose business but also give themselves a bad name. I was treated very rudely by the workers, which in and of itself is not right. Especially when those rude workers were the greeters standing by the door.

Walmart probably lost a few thousand dollars simply because they were not fully prepared for business that day to handicap people. That may seem like a drop-in-the-bucket for such a large company, but it is going to become a ripple effect. Because my mother and I are no longer going to shop there. Nor are our friends. If Walmart does not become more prepared to handle customers such as my Mother, they are going to continue to lose business.

All it will take is to buy a few more rolling carts, and Walmart will have much happier and satisified customers.

I'm sorry for your mother's situation, ma'am, but stores aren't required by any statute (or moral, for that matter) to provide a motor scooter for anyone. If your mother isn't terribly mobile, why don't you take the initiative of purchasing a motor scooter yourself. Walmart providing them is a luxury, not a right.

On my last 2 trips to WalMart in Granbury, TX. 76048, there were no riding carts available, and another customer was waiting for one. Granbury is a retirement community, and WM should be prepared for more than normal handicaps.

I could not find a customer service section on their Home Page.

Walmart clothing & cleanliness of store!

I shop the Walmart in Springfiel Tn. It is often dirty with trash on the entrance way floors. The quality of clothing has gotten to the point that I will no longer be buying school clothes there. The clothing rarely last past two washings & often stretches out of shape or comes apart. I once was able to get most of our clothing there but no more. It is a shame to see Walmart getting to this point. Why can you not get a better grade of clothing merchandise? You did at one time. Even the jeans come apart. The Springfield store often has several empty shelves & never has enough personnel. I hope to see some improvement soon.

Walmart store don't have less price doodles

The Store is big... But about kid's doodle (magnetic writer) they used have many varieties... recently no varieties.

While shopping we could not find any doodle so asked a salesperson , then he searched and gave us a old high priced doodle which was kept very up and mostly becoz of the reason of not sold so there were very few and with cover tear .That means not maintained... If that salesperson really want to sell items he could give us with better cover... As it was very up we could not see other And price was almost 2.5 times so my husband said no... I could make him say yes at least if the cover was in good condition...

Walmart was believed to be with good brands but cheap rate But My opinion is totally changed.

I would like to complain about our local Walmart in how the customers are treated at the entry/exit doors in Jonesville, Virginia. This is a small rural area, but these workers treat everyone as if you are a theif for any item too large to fit a buggy or a bag. Just this week I was stopped to check if I bought a plastic storage container that had the lid off with the Walmart bags of others items I purchased sitting it in! Then the next day we bought a bike and a few items, once again we were stopped to check us for stealing the bike with us standing with a Walmart bag in the other hand! My husband said we w0uld drive an hour to other areas to shop before we would be treated like this again. I have never stole and never plan on doing it and hate to be treated like a theif everytime we go to Walmart in Jonesville, Virginia and I have heard other people comment on this same topic too. The manager does nothing about complaints about this, you would have more customers in Jonesville, Va IF people would be treated with some respect!

My complaint to the main headquarters (if there is one) is that I feel that I was treated immorrally; not to mention having had medical problems at the time and being disabled on top of this really topped the visit to Walmart off on this particular day. I have already chosen not to shop at my local Walmart store in Jackson, Ohio (where we have very little other choices), but I have not had that many positive experiences/mosyly negative. The day I am specifically upset about was mid July; I had arrived at the store at about 8:40, my sister and I had just returned from seeing my brother who was in the hopsital very ill with Infection through his blood stream (Sepsis). We had been gone for almost the whole day (10:30am-8:30pm). We had met in town to drive together, so I thought I would make a quick trip in the store to get what I needed since I was close. I am disabled but sometimes by looking at me, some people would not recognize it. I parked in the handicapped parking space as
I usually do when able and entered in the main doors. I opted to use a shopping cart although I was in a lot of pain and very tired and fatigued, so after finishing my shopping and checking out (the cashier was great): I started toward the doors to go out. I was stopped by one of the CM's and told that I could not go out the main doors, at this time-it was 9:10. I said Why? She replied with a slightly sarcastic reply (like I should have known) "The doors are being remodeled, there was a sign outside."
I asked if there were anyway I could get out the doors because I was parked in the handicapped parking. She replied that there was not any way for the doors to be reopened. I said that means that I have to walk all the way down to the other end of the store and then back up to my car again, and I am worn out. Why didn't you announce they were closing the doors. She looked at another worker and said they announced last night, didn't they? I said, thats not tonight and I did not see a sign. My problem is that there were 2 people and namely the CM who knew that I was disabled, it was dark outside and there was not any offer of assistance to me. I got to the other side of the store and rode the electric WC to my car and then noted the sign on the door was not on the door at all, but a sign written on white posterboard (light black) between the doors about 14"x14". My diabetes has been out of control really bad lately and that is one of the major problems I was having, not to mention my other problems from my disabilities. I feel that the people working in these positions should be more considerate to others and be able to offer assistance to those as they need it, or delegate to others. If this is unavailable in Walmart stores, then all the more reason for me to continue to go other places to shop. Thank God for Krogers, Big Lots and the Dollar Stores in our town;not to mention CVS, Walgreens, Peebles, Catos, The Shoe Store for other needs as needed. My daughter will help me if there is a lot to do. If I do not here anything from anyone about this, then I know that Walmart does not have the morals that Sam Walton said. Patricia Landrum

First of all, you all need to get a life and learn how to spell. How about you go to Walmart and get some hooked on phonics? If they still sell it, although in your redneck towns I'm sure they stockpile it. I agree with Kubbi, you have NO IDEA what it's like to work for Walmart. I was a manager and I have dealt with some of the rudest low-life idiots during my time there. People complaining over the DUMBEST things. Don't you realize that those people have a job to do? Like tasks they are given everyday that they need to complete, but they can't because people like you bother them about where the magna-doodles are? Ever wonder why the salesfloor associates give you an attitude when you ask them for help? BECAUSE THEY ARE BUSY GETTING THINGS DONE AND YOU ARE TOO LAZY TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING! WALMART IS NOT MACY'S AND THEY ARE NOT THERE TO KISS YOUR FEET! As far as people complaining about prices? Are you on drugs? The store manager has no control over the prices, they come from the home office you [censored]. Go complain to Sam Walton if you don't like it. Stop complaining over stupid little things and get a hobbie, and I hope the next Walmart employee you give a hard time to...tells you where to go.

I'll bet all of you complaining here went into your local Wal-Mart Store and RAISED TOTAL HELL with whoever was TRYING to help you. Most all Wal-Mart stores are understaffed to give good customer service or even do a presentable job. It was never set up to give the customers a "individual grooming". It is a DISCOUNT STORE. As a manager, they out you on a roller coaster to control expenses mostly through cutting payroll. It depends every week on percent to sales of the previous year. The manager has a "Store Manager's daily recap" that is printed every day that will give you the big picture of everything happening daily. If your numbers are out of line you will usually get a call from the Market Manager telling you to be "payroll friendly" and cut your people back. Hell, you can't even finalize schedules until everything is in line. Then they dangle the carrot that maybe you'll get a bonus for keeping your expenses in line and doing good on sales only to find out that they change the rules as you go. Go ahead and call 1-800-Wal-Mart. It won't do you any good. All of those calls are re-routed back to the store manager of the store that you are complaining about. It's called a "Letter To The President". As far as working for Wal-Mart? I would be an hourly worker any day of the week as opposed to being a salaried manager. You are treated much better believe me. The reason why is a great fear of unionization of associates. Wal-Mart has thier own team that will dispatch to any store in the event of any type of union activity. They take the store from the store manager and run it themselves until the threat has been neutralized. As a salaried manager you can't join a union anyway so they treat you like ###. All price changes are dictated by Home Office. The store manager and associates can't help how high or low their prices are. Yes, "store initiated markdowns" are closely watched as well. You have a certain amount of "markdown money" that can be used if authorized by the Market Manager per quarter. Once again it goes back to percent to sales for last year and the current sales goals. As far as returns, if you take something back past it's Wal-Mart Warrant date (depends on item) you put your job at jeopardy. That's right, you can be FIRED for that! After the Wal-Mart warrany is out it can't be returned to the manufacturer for store credit. That becomes part of "shrink" which affects the bottom line (profit). What I'm trying to get at here is that it is a hell of alot going on at once and not enough people to handle the load. IT IS NOT EASY! You can't even compare Wal-Mart to any other retail chain. It's apple to oranges. No other retail company does the sheer volume of sales that Wal-Mart does. Before anyone complains to any Wal-Mart store associate, including managers, you should relly realize what is actually going on. They are in no position to change anything whatsoever. I will tell you that it is one hell of a challenging job. I would rather work somewhere else myself.

First of all I totaly agree with all the above complaints. You buy up property to place one of your stores and push any store in sight out because your prices are lower - IN THE BEGINNING - after your store is in business less than a year all your prices raise. How indecent is that? YOU are the biggest thieves in the country! My husband has made numerous complaints to the manager in the store closest to us (we live in a very small town and almost HAVE to shop in your store) which is Jonesville, VA. We have had to return stale bakery (if you want to call it a bakery) items, stale bread, etc. The prices for fruit and vegetables are out of sight; as a matter of fact, we have seen many times, an employee sorting out everything by throwing away rotten items, even flowers and plants. Three (3) dollars for one (1) green pepper is a bit much, don't you think - or do you think at all? It is discraceful by all means. There are more poor and struggeling people in this town than people that could afford your products. The manager at this particular store should be fired and so should the assistant manager, she struts around as though she owns WalMart. They actually yell at the employees as well as fire them for any little "thing" while they are worse than any of their employees! You are a VERY POOR EXCUSE for a business and ALL your prices STINK !(that's an understatement - I'm being nice) If you would just stop and think about lowering your prices you would most likely have more business - in the produce departments, at least. People would buy (that department is always empty of customers) and you wouldn't have to pay an employee to throw away all the rotten items. What a discrace you are! Start thinking about being a service to the people instead of being a robber - besides if you have only an ounce of religion, how would you not know that you should treat everyone exactly like YOU want to be treated, never any less.
Thank you for allowing me to send my comments; I sure hope to see some improvements in your stores.

Mary Frances

Do you have a spouse that works at WalMart - Beware their fraternizing policies are not worth the ink that they used to print them with!!! WalMart in NC allows open fraternizing of married employees and management/salary with hourly. Management even tells the employees to not talk or say anything about it to the public and turn their heads and ignore it...

Walmart dissatisfaction service

On Sunday June 9,2007 I went shopping at Walmart. At the register I gave a blank check with my signature to pay my bill. The clerk gave my check which was blank and a receipt for my purchase. I ask the clerk to void my check and redo the transaction at another register where the printer was was working, She refuse and so did her supervisor refuse. I had to go to the assistant store manager to complete the transaction properly. I was so irate that I called 1800-walmart to make a complaint. I spoke with someone from customer service but did not receive satisfaction. I tried to make a complaint on the computer but the computer kept knocking me out so I could not complain. I feel top mgmt needs to be informed.

I bought a Weedeater WLT23 from WalMart on March 30 2007, used it maybe 10 times. Today is Aug 4 and the batteries are dead. Called the # on the instruction manual [protected]) and was told that someone from customer service will call me back in 48-72 hours and that this rep. will probably offer to LET me buy new batteries at 50% off. WOW what a deal. Then in 3 or 4 months maybe I can do it all over again. I'm going to buy a new trimmer and it WON'T be a Weedeater product.

Walmart not so private, not so professional

Yesterday, I was called by Co-Manager Rod (last name withheld) of the WalMart in Alabaster, Alabama to come in on June 8, 2007 at 10 a.m. for a part-time interview. I arrived at 9:45 a.m. Another female applicant arrived just before 10 a.m.

The female was immediately seen and set up with an interviewer.

For more than 25 minutes, Rod was paged by the Store to come to hold my interview.

Rod showed at 10:30 a.m. and with no greeting or apology, looked up my name and then called another person to interview me... I waited 10 more minutes and no one showed.

Insult to injury... professionalism and privacy. During my time, I overheard the exchange of more than two social security numbers of individuals, that persons were taking time off and one lady was handling everything.

On top of that, Connie (last name unknown but another manager) had quit and the night before and just walked off the job.

I was so disgusted by the lack of privacy and professionalism that I just left.

Lesson... WalMart Alabaster, Alabama is broken.

I used to shop here all the time. But after seeing so much of this behavior from the management, and after the way they are squeezing our favorite brands off the shelves for THEIR brand; I'm done for good. I will NEVER shop at wall-mart again, especially for groceries. Heck, when I switched to Food World, I didn't even notice a difference in total ticket price.

I completely agree.

I see that those employees who, I suppose are hourly, work on the floor are generally nice and good natured. They are generally older with most I guess being retirees.

I guess the managers are in the back hiding from the public. I never see them on the floor as I shop. After talking to some of the store's employees my guess was correct. After speaking to these employees I found that many managers at Wal Mart are interested in just keeping a paycheck. They don't want there higher ups to realize they are not really that good at what they do. They are not very good in employee relations. They tend to only think for themselves. Have you ever wondered why over the loud speaker they always ask for a "member of management" like it is a club you have to be a really good but kisser to join. I tend to think many of these managers should feel very lucky that Wal-Mart as a whole is too large to manage and they can go about their lives earning their not to well-earned paycheck with the understanding that there is little chance anyone out there will rock their boat and find out that they generally are not that good at what they do.

Walking through the Alabaster store have you ever wondered how empy the shelves are?

Walmart awful customer support

I just walked out of a walmart in Neptune, NJ with a rather weird experience. I walked in to buy a hard drive for my game system. When the teller ran the item at the register it rang up for 177.00 but the tag showed it at 100. When I told the clerk of the error they first observed the tag and complied it did say a different price but they kept fighting the tag. They took the sku off the display and brought it to the counter and told me "o the sku's don't match so this isn't the right price". I asked about there honoring a shelf price even if it differs from the ring up price and I got a bunch of different excuses. The first of course was the sku doesn't match, I will get to the rest in a few. After that I decided to keep my cool and just go to customer service and ask for a manager. Once the manager accompanied me to the department I showed her the product and the tag. The original salesman came over to try and fight my claims. At first he told her that its not the right size hard drive, I pointed out to her that the tag said "xbox 360 hdd" and made no mention of a size. His next argument was the sku, I told her that the item was behind a glass and once you ask for a product they bring it to the counter to ring it up so there is no way to compare sku. Then she said the hard drive was in fact priced but the tag she pointed to was for a dvd player not the hard drive, once i informed her of the error they paused. Then she said since the product is about 6 inches out of the spot of the tag that they can not honor the price and when i pointed out there is no other tag with a different price anywhere in the department she said that they just don't have a tag printed for it. I was forced to leave the store since I only had 130 in my account giving me not enough for the product. If a store has a policy they should honor it now I'm out of the product they had in stock that nobody else did and with awful customer support.

This is Walmarts way of making a few extra bucks. It is called bait and switch and in unethical no matter what the former Walmart employees states.

Yes customer can switch product on the shelf to confuse the next customer, but I have seen many many instances where the correct product rang up a different price than the shelf. It also seems bizarre that if it wasn't common place that customer service would just hand out cash for the difference when it is caught by the customer at checkout.

Walmart is gambling that we (customers) are just too stupid to notice or too busy waste 20 minutes in the service line to get the refund.

This exact thing happened to me in the Zion, IL Walmart on Tuesday 8/24/10. I spent time in the service line to get the refund, and then the guard (as I left the store) had the nerve to stop me to produce the receipt for the item. They think everyone is stealing from them when they are the ones being unethical.

I called the Asst. store manager who was a useless front to field these calls (obviously has had a few of them too since he had no empathy left). They need a policy that if it doesn't ring up correct it is free before I shop there again.

If Walmart expects the Customers to compare the SKUs on the pricing label / tag with the SKU on the product, then they should PRINT the SKU large enough on the label so that it can easily be compared! Then the Customers will not have a legitimate argument about the pricing discrepancy, when shown the label / tag.

I have learned to compare SKUs / UPCs from the label / tag and the product when I find a price that I think is too good to be true.

However, Walmart has a tendency to show one price on the label / tag, and then the POS register rings it up at a different price (usually higher, of course). This has been occurring more and more lately, over the past 2 years.

I think ALL STORES should go back to placing a price tag on each and every product, not just a label / tag on the shelf and leaving it up to the Customer to verify the label / tag against the product.

bait and switch is a common practice in the world of free market but sad to say the wal mart world monopoly also has started to practice some of these same hard sell tactics. For example one of the more common practices of this is to place merchandise over the wrong shelf price as your complaint suggests but the more deceptive practice was disclosed to me by the stores management only after my formal complaint was addressed to him through the CEO MIKE DUKE IN ARK. AND HERE IS WHAT I WAS TOLD: "It is wal marts practice to place merchandise in a discount/closeout section of the store without a discount price marked on it while awaiting a reduced price to be sent down from the main office". Hopefully this is not an example of what is to come in the new world order of monopoly because it is an absolute deception to miss lead shoppers into assuming they can receive a discounted price at the register only to be humiliated as a spectacle to others when you are debating why you are being charged the regular price with no discount offered to you. well needless to say I found out the hard way while standing in the check out line for nearly 30 min. as the debate continued leaving those viewing to conclude that I was trying to get something for a reduced price when the store intended to get full price by way of this bate and switch policy. Whats worse is the fact that wal mart acknowledges this practice but refuses to change there methods by keeping the unmarked supposed discounted item of the discount shelf until they can properly display a discount price on the item.

If you haven't worked retail, you don't know how it is run. I've worked in retail for over five years and that is a common mistake that happens with customers. Most of the time the customer did NOT read the tag correctly. For example: If a tag says "buy more and save" it means that you have to buy more than one to get the deal on the item that you want. Walmart is known for having scanners throughout the store so you can verify the price. A LOT of retail stores don't have these-and it tends to be a big draw back when dealing with someone who is trying to "get a deal" that does not exist. And if you are at a store that doesn't have a scanner, the least you could do is try to figure out how they label their products when putting it on the shelf so that you will know if it is the correct price tag. In the end, if you tell an employee (specifically a manager) about a product that is in the wrong place, let them know. Whatever employee put it their needs to make sure that they know how to do their job correctly.
It's a shame that walmart treats their employee's like garbage. It's a great place to shop for what you need. I'd like to be able to get better customer service when I need help looking for something.

when walmart makes a mistake, don't let it go, fight them all the way. chances are you might not win, but there are the times when you can. take them all the way. my boyfriend has won more times than not with these people at walmart when they are in the wrong. you just need to know a little bit about consumer protection. there are a lot of litty bitty laws that they have to abide by. look them up. we as consumers let walmart get away with making too much money as it is. don't forget the wrong scan price law. its a % of the price of the product up to $5 plus the refund of the product. i forget what the name of this policy is but they don't advertise it. i just call it "i want my $5 for the incorrect scanning policy"

I live in South Texas and can tell you that ALL the Walmarts down here have horrible customer service especially the one in Palmhurst, Texas. Finding an associate to help you is like pulling teeth. I have had price discrepancies of a few cents that they refused to honor. Make sure that you look at the register as they are scanning your merchandise.
Every single time I have shopped there at least one of my items does not match the price on the shelf, and they wont change the price. If you do decide to argue the price, it becomes a big production. I bought a 10 lb package of ground beef that was marked down from $10 for about $4 because it was due to expire. I looked away as they were scanning it and didn't realize until I had payed that I had been charged full price. The cashier told me that I would have to go to customer service to get a price adjustment. I asked to speak to a manager and asked her if they had a fast fix option at the register like Target does and was told that they were too busy and I had to go to customer service. After standing at the service desk line for 45 minutes, I returned the beef and got my $10 back.(It was the principal) As I was walking out, I noticed the same "busy" manager returning an item from another customer at a register. I was so pissed. Long story short...Walmart sucks. Shop at Target instead.

Hi folks,
I have had similar experiences at the Hornell, NY Wal-Mart. However, if you are ever in Bradford, Pa definatly shop at that Wal-Mart. The employees are the friendliest, most helpfull I have ever encountered in a retail store. If they have a pricing mistake, you usually are given the item at the price displayed. I got a 45.00 radio controlled Airplane for 15 bucks from there because of a pricing mistake. I was not made to wait any longer than it took for the employee to check out the mistake for the manager. Being a small city, everyone that works there are our neighbors and friends, and I think that is why the service is so good there.

Walmart complete waste of money!

At the walmart store located in trinidad, colordado, there is very poor care regarding the garden center. There is a greenhouse set up at walmart with hundreds of plants in it. On the week of April 6th, 2007, we had freezing drizzle and temperatures fell below freezing. I noted that a portion of the greenhouse siding was down and the plants exposed to the cold. Of course, no one was in the garden center to report this to. A few days later when i returned, hundreds of these plants were frozen. These plants are not salvageable at this point. Also noted some of the plants that are part of the garden center connected to the walmart store also suffered frost damage.

What a waste of money, and totally disgusting to let all of these plants just freeze. I would like to know who is responsible for this or does anyone in management care. It's probably just a tax write off so it's not a big deal, however, i think it shows very poor management and lack of responsibility, plus such a waste.

Why should Walmart care about killing all their live garden center stock? They (along with Lowe's, Home Depot, K-Mart and most other big box stores) get their plants in on consignment. If they kill them, the grower is the one who takes a loss, not the store. If they let them freeze, it doesn't cost them anything. If they don't water them and they die, oh well. In fact, most of the growers have merchandisers who go to the stores and work the plants instead of the store itself doing any work with the plants.

Walmart walmart - think again, and quit advertising lower prices!

I bought a LexMark Z645 printer at WalMart 3 months ago. The thing has barely ran a fourth of the black ink out of it and already the paper guide or automatic feeder is broken on it. I have to hand feed each sheet to get something printed. What a major hassle!

I heard that WalMart will no longer receive returns. Is that true.

Purchased at Woodward, Oklahoma.

Also purchased for us at the Woodward WalMart for Christmas by family members:

Two years ago we received a Mr Coffee coffeemaker with the alarm brew set button that made the coffee start perking at the time you specified. Of course you had to put the ingredients in it the night before, but it lasted 2 months. It was one of the expensive models and since we had no receipt, we couldn't get another one. It just quit working, no visible reason, and we are not that hard on our things.

Everytime I have to go into WalMart, it just irritates me. I would rather spend my money at any other store in my area than WalMart. Their groceries are not as good as our ShurFine brand at the Venture store locally at Buffalo, Oklahoma. And the Venture store has great sales on their merchandise and what is advertised IS in the store.

Atwoods Town and Country stores even have better quality and lower prices than the WalMart store that sits next to them on the highway!

WalMart - think again, and quit advertising lower prices, ha ha. You suck.

Walmart complete dissatisfaction of the order!

To Whom it May Concern:

After I talked to the customer service agent on the telephone for over 30 minutes, I was told that I would get a refund for one complete sweatshirt that was placed on back-order and then never shipped, plus a shipping refund of .84cents twice. I don't think a credit in the amount of $2.11 adds up the cost of the Black NBA Sweatshirt that was never shipped because you were out of stock. I ordered these items for a X-Mas present for my Son & my three Teenage Grandchildren. When I ordered the Four NBA Sweatshirts I was told that they would be delivered before X-Mas. The sweatshirt I had to re-order was delivered December 28th, 2006. (Three days after X-Mas) My original order less the black sweatshirt was delivered January 2nd, 2007. (Seven days after X-Mas) When it was all said and done, one sweatshirt that I had to re-order because the Black X-Large was placed on backorder was never delivered. Furthermore it was not on backorder, you just simply didn't have it, and notified me via email 4 days later and said it was not available. Trying to reach a customer service agent for the great Walmart is almost impossible. When I finally reached a customer service agent today January 26, 2007., she was rude and tried to cover up the entire issue of trying to solve my problem, and never did explain why my X-Mas order was not delivered on time for X-Mas. She also kept saying they were "T-Shirts" not "Sweatshirts" and was very rude each time I corrected her.

You would think a customer service representative would know the difference between a sweatshirt and a t-shirt. Another thing that I don't understand why you ask for all the information such as a phone number, address, etc., etc., because according to your customer service agent you only use emails to notify the customer about a problem.. Why don't you just ask for an email address, because that is apparently the only contact you use with the customer. I could complain for hours about my complete dissatisfaction with this entire ordeal, but I will not. I was a K-Mart Store Manager for a long period of time, and if I would have treated my customers like I was treated, my District Manager would have fired me on the spot. I think I have no alternative at this point to contact the President of Walmart and let he or she know about my complete dissatisfaction of this order.

My complaint with Walmart started several nights ago, in Paris Tennessee. We are working on the new bowling center, trying to get it open by Thanksgiving, and we are working in the neighborhood of fourteen hours a day, everyday. By the time we get off work at night, there is no place to buy the things we need for the job the next day open except Walmart. Since we are working out of town we depend on this service center for all our tools, groceries, miscellaneous hygiene items, and clothing since we came unprepared for the cold snap that came through here this week. This week alone, we have spent more than $500.00 at this store and the night time security man that watches the door, was the rudest man I have ever had to deal with. Since I bought a bagful of saw blades and a half inch drill the other night, the cashier didnt demagnetize the tools and the alarm went off as I was leaving the store and since I was there as soon as I got off work and hadn't cleaned up yet, he thought he was a real Barney Fife. he accused me of stealing something even though I had my register receipt. When I showed it to him, he wouldn't accept that I just purchased the things. I had to wait until he checked everything in the computer and verified each and every item. I was so mad by the time he went through the list, I had to just take my stuff from him and walk out! The next night, I was back in there, because I didnt really have a choice,to buy a new pair of boots. The next day, the fastener that holds the string popped off the boot so when I got off work, I went to the motel to get my receipt so I could take them back to exchange them, but the maid apparently threw the receipt away, but I went there anyway to explain the situation. I told the lady that I had just purchased them the night before, and that I just wanted to exchange them for a new pair but she said without the receipt, she wouldnt do anything, that I was just out $59.00 If this complaint just sits here and I don"t get any kind of reply, or satisfaction, I assure you that I will never shop at Walmart again and I am very influential and affiliated with numerous shoppers and will do everything in my power to stop purchases at this business. Thank you

I have been shopping with you for the past 10 years I believe. I have a credit card account with you which at this point I do not know what is going on. I have attempted to use my card for the past three months and it does not work at the register. for the past two months I have made purchases with other credit cards when I've been told i have credit available in my card. This past Friday, October 12 i shopped at your stocoton Superwalmart. Since the walmart card did not work I had to use a providian credit card. This inconvenience has thrown my budget off since my purchase was over $200.00 To make matters worse on exiting your security clerk became very rude, confused and just plain harassing me because I could not find my tag. I was treated like a criminal. I asked your employees questioning me to go back with me to register 19 to the clerk who had charged me. The clerk was not there, she went on her break. The manager who had assisted me,(not very helpful before and somewhat rude continued to show rudeness. I have spoken to you phone service about changing my address to no response. I have not received my statement for the past two months and called the number on the credit card. Still no response to my request. At this point I do not know where I stand with you and my account. I would very much like to continue to do business with you. As a teacher for the past 20 years your store has great items and prices. But I am very very humiliated upset and distraught as to the way I am being treated. I'd be most appreciative at a quick response to this matter.

Thank You,
Martha Tachiquin.

Hey guys,on Sunday October 7th,2007,my car was hit in the Walmart parking lot at Walker Springs in Knoxville, TN, somewhere between 12:00p.m. and 1:30p.m.I called the police, and as suspected, couldn't do anything but take a police report, giving my I.D. and car insurance information, which will cause my rates to go up, when they find out,so I decided not to file one. I went back in the store to see the outside cameras, so that I could find out who hit my car, and they refused, claiming that they needed a warrant or official order from the police. So,the next day,I called the Knox county police, stating what Walmart said, and as expected, they wouldn't help me,because I wasn't robbed, or my child wasn't abducted. They (police) advised me to make a hit and run report, and file it to my own insurance.I'm not doing that, just so my rates can go up (it's a Pontiac Firebird and is already $140/month). As lowdown as this person that hit me was, I'd like to take a moment and let people know that Walmart is even lower. All they would have to do,is just take a moment of there time to allow me to see the 1 1/2 hour of tape needed to find the culprit, and then file a police report against that person, but no, they claim their video cameras are for private use, not to help justice in any way. Anyway, f the person that hit my car ever reads this, I want him/her to know that I forgive them for what they did, but I pray that God keeps them from ever doing this to another person, and if they do, I hope they get caught in the act.

I completed the long and involved questionnaire and I had to accept 4 different items. I took two credit cards; ordered Boca coffee and applied for an on-line business with Ebay. When I got to the last screen, it did a round robin on me and would not go to the last screen so I could receive my $500 Walmart card. It kept telling me to go back to page 2. ...

If you had gotten a job and paid them, then they wouldn't have forwarded you to collections - if you can't afford it, then don't buy it. You deserve to be harrassed for trying to cheat them out of the money you owe them.

Did you tell the people at walmart you were going through bankruptcy? From the moment you apply for bankruptcy all collection calls should of stopped, if not when they call you again you tell them you have filed for bankruptcy and give them your file#, Once you have done that, they are not allowed to call you again or they can be sued, let them know that too! As for your job, once you request the company to stop calling your job, they must stop or can also be sued. Write them a letter requesting they stop calling you at work, so you have proof that you told them, I hope this helps .

Walmart does not carry wonderbar german bologne

After shopping 2 years at Walmart Super Store and ordering a pound of Wonderbar German Bologne every week this week they informed me they NO LONGER carry that brand. In the past they had mentioned how popular it was so it is to my dismay what happened. The Manager of the store said all Walmart's will not have it any longer. Why?

I think that it is a shame that when a person finds somthing really good like Wonderbar German Bologna that a great big store like Walmart has to discontinue it. I get so sick of things like this! Another thing, Walmart doesn't keep their shelves stocked like they should. Somestimes I go there for things like bread and they don't even have the brand I like.

The Big wiggs in Arkansas should think about trying to please the people instead of just lining their pockets.
They keep raising prices all the time. What we pay for milk in there is just rediculous especially when it is supposed to be a discount store! We can always buy milk cheaper at the local convenience stores or at the gas station! Portage, IN

I have identical comments and feelings about WalMart in Stuart, FL.

There were many times that I could not get the Wonderbar because they were out! ! ! You would think they would carry a product that sells out all the time. Who are the EMPTY SUITS making these decisions?
