I am a married stay at home mom with 3 children and like most hardworking families we shop at walmart to save time and money. What a joke! Have you ever stopped and actually looked at people shopping in walmart. No one is smiling or happy because shopping at walmart has become equivalent to having your teeth pulled or going to the DMV! When you walk into walmart it is like a vortex has sucked all human decency out of everyone who walks through their doors. For example I was at our local walmart customer service desk at 8:30 am on a weekday morning with my 2 year old son, I was the only customer standing there. The women behind the counter was a supervisor and was helping another employee fill out paperwork. She finally acknowledged me after a few minutes and then told me "I will be with you in a minute" after 5 minutes had passed I finally told her to forget it because apparently helping another employee fill out paperwork was more important than helping a customer! She never apologized or tried to help, just let me walk away. I have never run into an employee that is actually helpfull, acknowledges you, smiles, or does anything to imply that not only are they decent human beings but they deserve to be paid for doing their job! Because being a friendly, helpful, customer service reperesentative of walmart is not what they teach their employees to be. The store disgusts me and unfortunately so many people are forced to shop there because of economic times but at what price? Is a dollar cheaper than the leading store make it worth the trade in good customer service? I am beginning to think not.

Purchased a lawn mower to keep my japanese garden looking good. There was a bag that was attached to it, but it had a tear in it that i didnt see.

and what do you know? The grass and weeds blew right into my koi pond, killing the main male fish, which for years I breeded!
I contacted Walmart, and they laughed at my face and didnt even apologize for my poor dead fish.

I dont want a refund.Just some sympathy.
I've been a loyal shopper at walmart for a long long time, but I've decided today, Target can have my business!

On Sunday June 22, 2008 my children and I were shopping at Walmart in Florida, University and Oakland park Blvd. My son leaned on a rack and the sign flew off. An employee named Maria (from lingerie) came charging at my son yelling at the top of her lungs “why did you touch that, you are not suppose to play around here, don’t play around here!” My son 8 yrs old started to cry, I asked Maria not to yell at my son and told her as she walked away he was not playing with the rack. I proceeded to ask another employee for the manager, she immediately called for the person in charge of lingerie. Vanderlin asked to speak to me over the phone, she sounded like I was bothering her and did not bother to see me in person after I asked to speak with her in person. I spent over $300 that day and I was appalled with the customer service I received, not even the cashier Erica acknowledged me. I love to shop at Walmart and I do so biweekly, sometimes weekly. I will never shop at store #1349 again. With the rising cost of economy these days Walmart should feel privileged to have such a loyal customer as myself. Please see that this situation is remedied, so other loyal customers do not have to be subjected to substandard customer service.

Thank you,
Beatrice Pilarte.

I am furious at WALMART because of their POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wanted to check to see if something that I ordered on line had made it to the store since that is where I was going to pick it up at. I was transfered from line to line and I had to hold for about a total of 45 minutes. I had to call back numerous times because I was hanged up on numerous times as well. It was just ridiculous. I just had a simple question that would have taken one minute to answer. Finally, after an hour I got a manager on the phone. She answered my question in less than a minute. All I have to say is that I wish walmart would take better care of their customers because if not they will go out of business in houston just like K-Mart did. I definitely will not order anything from there anymore.

1-Customer service(Lack Of)-- I went to return a book that I bought and already had one at home. The customer service rep said that policy is that books can ONLY be returned with 24 hours. I had my receipt and the binding on the book did not even have a crease or fold on it. Then I wanted to return a defective light sensor. The rep told me to go to the department and find another product with the same UPC on it; she could not return it with just the receipt! So I went to the electrical department, found the product, and stood in line again to wait for the next customer service rep. She then refunded my money on the light sensor only. ( KMART had just refunded 3 books that I had bought 4 days previously and already had copies of. NO QUESTIONS ASKED) At most stores if a Upc is needed, the customer service rep calls an employee to go and check on it, not ask the customer to go retrieve it. 2- Pharmacy problems. I called in 1 week ahead of time to ask Walmart to transfer a prescription from another pharmacy. When I arrived to pick up my drugs, it was not there and Walmart did not know where my prescription was. I called the other pharmacy and they said that they had transferred the Rx to Walmart. Walmart did not do anything to resolve the problem(they should have called the other pharmacy again to transfer the Rx information, and then filled the Rx) Another time I called ahead of time to ask for the price on a medication and to make sure that the drug was in stock at Walmart. A few days later I went to Walmart to fill the Rx. They did not have the drug in stock and said that it would take a week to get it. In the meantime, my Rx would expire before the drug came in, so I had to get the Rx filled at another pharmacy. Each time I had called ahead of time to give the pharmacy time to process the prescriptions and they were not ready and the employees seemed not to care to resolve the problem.

I have experienced not 1 or 2 or even 3 situations of poor customer service within 2 months from this walmart store. I wrote to the company and they could not even reply to my complaint. I am proud to say that I spent all of Black Friday in every store EXCEPT walmart. I would rather pay $1 more and shop at a store that understands customer service. Thank you for the opportunity to let others know you don't have to accept being treated like that. There are always other places to shop. Vickie

I took a prescription to the walmart pharmacy, the attendance in the pharmacy told me that it was going to take a long time, then he said that i had a bad lock because they didn'.t have the medication. I went to k-MART they order the medications for me and I have them the next day.The people are not helpful and the customer service is very poor, They always have long lines and take forever for a person to get their medications.

Every time I'm in that store after midnight the cashiers are so rude. The management is worthless because once I'd complained to the manager and he didn't seem to care making excuses for the employee rather then actually handling the issue. After talking to co-workers they have had the same problems.

One more point...Walmart "Low Prices" causes "low income" its math. the manager of my local WalMart explains that most of the employees that work in his store...must economicaly shop at the store. They get 10% discount and this furthers the destruction this company does to your community...10% discount hurts the economy? yeah buddy...Walmart is courted by local polticians. when they build they hire misplaced employees from busineses that go out of business...they then put the nail in the coffin by encouraging the employees to spend the money they make back into WalMart...So when they enter your town expect nothing in return...NO EXTRA EMPLOYMENT, LESS TAX RECIEPT, MISERABLE SHOPING EXPERINCE. see Low prices are very expensive...

Melissa253 Walmart enters a town, destroys local competion by leveraging China manufactures to bring maximum profit to the executives that decide company policy...yes your right its a choice to drive 51 miles for a oil change due to Walmart putting Express Lube and Vavoline one stop out of business by using generic filters to change oil for 24.99. you right Melissa no victims here...not the customer that was lied to...not the local goverment that gave Walmart tax benefits just to build. Not the local business owners...no not one victim... the truth is Walmart is a disease...yes we are spreading the disease. the only cure in Knowledg
THE FILTER PICTURED BELOW IS THE FILTER THEY PLACED ON MY CAR! ITS GENERIC YET THE RECIEPT SHOWS FRAM!

i am a diabetic that takes insulin, i called my script to Wal-Mart well before i needed a refill, Wal-Mart called me back the following day to confirm my order was ready, i went there the next day, only to find out that they (the drug store) had given my insulin away. Asking what do i do now? The woman i was talking to, raised her hands in the air, like 'OH WELL" needless to say, my last time ordering at a Wal-Mart i'll pay the few extra dollars to insure i get my medication.

not only do they sell out dated items they also sell factory reconditioned items that they don't let the consumer know of I believe this is the law the consumer has the right to know if they are in fact buying a factory reconditioned item I only found out I had purchased an out dated item when I called black & Decker about a faulty food processor that I used only once in the three days I had it to my surprise the Black & Decker co. said their is no way you just made this purchase because we stopped making that model about three years ago. I was so pissed at the Black & Decker CO. at first then they said well we don't know why walmart would sell outdated products however we promise you that we have not made this model in more than three years I said so what do I do with this outdated food processor they said my best bet would be take it back to walmart where i purchased it . walmart has become a nightmare people think they are saving so much money there well I have news for you they don't double coupons in fact coupons seem to offend them they make fun of handicapped people and think they can just through you a gift certificate to pay for your dignity, respect, pride and moral as long as people keep shopping their than walmart will continue to get away with the mistreatment of patrons, handicapped, elderly, and all other consumers.they always brag how they are a billion dollar company well wake up walmart without patrons your company is not worth crap so keep pushing your luck because those same people you complain about make fun of and falsely accuse are the ones that made your company

Never call up to a walmart. They have the worst phone service out of any company I have ever dealt with. I think they are taught to not deal with the customers and focus on keeping their area stocked. This would make sense because I have called more than one walmart and was put on hold for at least 15 minutes each call to each store. I didn't have the gas money to be driving around to each walmart to see if they had a popular item thats always sold out (their website would tell me they had this product but when i got to the store it would be sold out) I ended up calling best buy and they actually put that product to the side for me to make sure no one would buy it. Go there are somewhere locally thats more service based versus low price based.

Walmart is the worst shopping experience. Too bad I'm forced to shop there. It is so upsetting each time I go there. If you can find anyone to help, or if they speak English at all, they are rude and nasty. A terrible place to shop. I stopped going to the drug store because of so many mistakes and nasty people.

I agree with everyone. The drug store is a horrible disgrace. I will not go there ever again, even if it costs a little more.
Most all employees are rude and incompetent. HORRIBLE!
But like you, am forced to shop there because of the economy.
It isn't the nice place it was many years ago.

what type of operation are you running anymore you use to be a great store to shop in, not anymore, we live in Rapid City, SD and your super wal-mart is getting just crazy. by that i mean items that are selling good and should be increased in amounts to sell are being taking off the shelves instead, what's with that.? now i know that the people that are giving you these items to sell aren't just all of a sudden taking them away from you so what's up.? items like egg rolls use to be could buy 10 count boxes of them and then they were gone all of a sudden so only choice was a 5 pack of chicken or salad type roll then all of sudden one day they are gone asked a clerk if just sold out for the day or what he says no, we don't handle them anymore, what;s with that.? also mentadent tooth paste we used it all the time and bought it from you like lots of other people cause you had to be fast to get it before sold out and then one day asked when next shipment would be in cause we were out they said don't handle anymore just that easy. there are several different items that don't remember right now but i know it's like 4 more that don't handle all of sudden that were selling good i know seen lots of people use and so did we and then all of sudden gone. i bet if a person paid the extra money to shop sams we would find our stuff that you don't have anymore over there but don't need to have to pay to shop for stuff have to pay for anyway. So, why don't you just shut the doors on your super store cause you are losing a lot of customers they are all going to K-mart and other stores to buy their groceries cause they don't want to have to buy half at your store then have to go to another to buy the stuff you didn't have so we shop all at one store now and will until things change that is for sure. We have talked to lots of other people that are doing the same thing better get with it or doors will close we are getting a lot of discount stores here in town that want to keep their customers. thanks, Rod and linda Rath.

The West Memphis, Arkansas, Wal-Mart has got to be one of the rudest in the Nation. I have complained several times to management and have even written letters to Bentonville about the rude employees, but who cares? Wal-Mart has gotten so big, they can live without my business. Unfortunately, we don't have an option in this town, it's either shop at Wal-Mart or go to Memphis, which is a hassle. We need a K-Mart or a Target badly.

Yeah - the employees at Wal-Mart certainly set the tone. Occasionally I will get help from the people at Wal-Mart, but many times they seem to barely have any hint of a personality or brain. How hard is it for someone to smile or walk you to a product that you are looking to find. Just this past Saturday evening I was their with my cousin and we were joking around, having a good time and even tried to crack jokes with the cashier who was not having any of it. My cousin repeatedly tried joking with the cashier, but she acted as if she was being tortured. I guess maybe working at WalMart is not a dream job, but it is a job and if you don't like it, go do something to improve yourself so you can get a better job instead of being miseable to the people that are helping you keep your job!

I agree with what you say, but Walmart and the dollar store are the only places I can afford to shop at anymore.
I only go once a month to get my groceries because I just
couldn't stand any more than that.
