Vanilla Gift Cards Visa

I was given a 50. Vanilla gift card for my birthday 12/21/2020.

I saved it for a special treat. I went and had a manicure and pedicure done in August 2021. When it came time to pay they told me my card had been declined. I was not expecting to pay for the service myself and put me in a bind. I have called about 6 times since then and gotten no response other than to fill out a form and send it back which I did in August 2021. No resolution. The card number had been used 4 times with Amazon Prime and was still in the cardboard casing!

Desired outcome: Refund or another untampered with card!

Vanilla Gift Cards Prepaid gift card

Sending cash through the mail as a gift is more secure than this card.
I sent a $75 card as a birthday present. It arrived in the sealed envelope as I sent it, but only had about $2 left on it. The rest had been used on several Google Play purchases. I filed a formal complaint requesting a refund. Customer service said it is the retailer's responsibility, and they take no responsibility for it (after about a month). Obviously, this was an electronic hack, something you can't do with cash. I have never had this kind of problem with VISA card purchases, or any other gift card, and I send plenty of them.

Desired outcome: Refund full amount of card

Vanilla Gift Cards Gift card

I purchased this card for my grandfather, I put 300 on there the next day I gave it to him to find out someone used my card at Walmart.com and Amazon. Vanilla told me I had to dispute it, I did that. They made me wait almost 4 months to tell me that it is resolved and they are denying my claim! Wth excuse me, so anyone can use your gift card and take your money and get away with it and you get no help! They are horrible they keep hanging up on me and clearly don't investigate anything

Desired outcome: Denied

Vanilla Gift Cards Gift card

I bought 6 vanilla gift card from Walmart for giving to my employee
After I gave, my employee call an activate but there are 0 balance on the card. I try to call the number on the card. There is only lady (Alashy) who pick up the phone and it will took about 40min for waiting line to talk to her. I try to claim the card because look like I got cheating. She said the company will send the form to e-mail to fill all information but to get the letter, it will take 10 days (what? 10days just only send e-mail) and after that will take 90days to investigate what going on (OMG 90days)
I try to ask her that do the card have money on 20 December THE DAY THAT I BOUGHT FROM WALMART, she said yes there are money come in on that day after that someone used all money (OMG)

Until now I still didn't get any form that she said she will send to me

I would like to write the review because I don't want this kind of company try to take advantage from anyone. Please don't buy gift card from this company, you will get cheating cheating

Vanilla Gift Cards Card fraud

Vanilla visa purchased at Walmart on 12/19 at 11:32AM. Checked bal at home and it was $200. Mailed it to AR for granddaughter Christmas gift on 12/20. It was sealed in a box. Received on 12/24 and bal checked, only 35 cents on card. When checked showed purchase made 12/19 @ 9:25 pm for $199.65 at wodearl on line. THIS IS FRAUD! It was not uses by me. Very upset with this card. When trying to report stolen to Vanilla Visa stayed on hold 30 to 45 min before someone answered. They would not resolve. Daughter in law filed claim but they would not resolve. I am angry that $200 of my money was stolen by this company and my granddaughter is out of gift.

Desired outcome: To remove all Vanilla Visa from stores

It is certainly a Scam supported by Visa that lends its name for this steal. They stole $200 from us. Attached, is how the card came from the package. It was missing 2 numbers. The problem with that is that you can not make any online purchases, nor can you sign in to the website or even interact with the automated phone number bc every where they ask you for the Gift card number. After many tries and not getting the option to spoke to a person on their [protected] number, I requested the stolen card option and stayed on for 30 minutes and finally a person came on. However, what this person said is that she did not have on her system all the numbers. First she said she would put the funds on hold and open a case number for which I gave my contact info. But then I clarified that there was no need to put the funds on hold if I could just swipe the card and that all she needed to do was to make the funds available. After going back and forth to speak to her manager, she finally came back and said she would delete the case number and make the funds available. I thought we were all set. However, the following day I get an email saying that they needed the receipt in order to be able to make the funds available. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS.

Same EXACT thing happened to me. I bought a $300 vanilla gift card to put away for a couple weeks so i would definitely have my electricity bill money. Well i went to pay yesterday and the $300 was 74 cents. I bought it in a box so how could someone have gotten the numbers? And just like this the review said, mine was used for $299.26 around 9pm too. Not only do they have the cars numbers but they luckily buy something online for almost the exact amount the card was purchased for. Mine was used by someone in New York (I’m in Louisiana) and used at “Austineccommerce LLC”. Vanilla Visa sent me a form to fill out and send in all the info then they said it will be 45-90 days until i find out IF it will be refunded. In the mean time, the Louisiana August heat will be pretty bad since my electricity bill won’t be paid atleast until my next paycheck. I hope whoever did this, and whoever hasn’t secured these cards gets their just rewards for this horrible evil theft.

Vanilla Gift Cards Not able to use ccrd

Received a Vanilla Gift Card from my employees and when I tried to us it twice at different stores it was declined. I call the number on the back and it tells me I have money on it. Tried to wait on hold for 47 minutes for someone to pick up but I gave up. Went on line and I can see the balance but again I tried it and it will not work at any store. This is a joke. I have to tell all my employees the thought was kind but I can't use this ccrd. So so sad. I just can't get any answers.

Desired outcome: help using this credit card

Vanilla Gift Cards Card-visa

My Grandson gave me a Vanilla VISA Gift Card for my birthday and I went to Walmart and tried to use it but it was rejected. I went to another Walmart and tried to use it but again it was rejected. I called the Customer Service number on the card 5 Times and went to the entire directory and after putting in the card information it said my balance was "0". I pressed the number to find out what the transactions were and it took me back to the main directory and would provide no balance or transactions that have taken place. I have the card and it was only $25.00 and of course my Grandson did not keep the original receipt so...
I tried to work through the website but when the card information is inserted the page just stalls and does not change.

Desired outcome: Replace the gift card.

Vanilla Gift Cards Purchase vanilla visa gift, card for $500, but no money on it

I had almost heart attack yesterday when I opened the Vanila vis gift card which was loaded with $500, at Walgreens store and received the receipt for $500, activated. In reality after I called and speak with customer service, she told me the card was loaded for $20, and miraculously used 2 months ago.

I explained that I have the receipt for $500 loaded on December 6th, 2021 and I want to know where is my money. She said "we have no information about it all we will do is to block the card"

Please anyone, what can I do to get my money back that was never put on this card?

Would I just go with police at Walgreens and with the card and the receipt and request my money back because they lied that they put the money on the card, and this card even though was sealed it appears that was used 2 month before I purchased it?

Desired outcome: My money back

I bought a $500 vanilla visa on Tuesday, receipt says activated for $500. I try to use it and it is not activated. I did notice something on the back of the card though. Where the bar code is there is a sticker with the numbers that are printed on the bottom of the package, with a bar code. I wonder if that sticker is redirecting the money to a bank account somewhere else. Another observation... the sticker is bigger than the window in the carton...fraud seems to be in house.

Vanilla Gift Cards Gift card

I purchase a gift card of $100 and someone else used the card to buy a game for $96. I was originally using the card to pay for my life insurance which was declined, unfortunately I had to pay 3 months ahead to keep my insurance. I am very diappointed. It has cost me tremendously, been awaiting a reply for about a month. I was told it would be about 90 days. This is disgusting also. My confirmation number is #[protected]

Vanilla Gift Cards About giftcards

I had purchased a Visa gift card Target in Dc for a $100 and when I tried to used the card it was defected. And so I contacted Vanilla Gift Card and they told me that they would send me another gift card. All I had to do was provide a proof of the receipt of where I purchased the gift from. And proof of my address to send the giftcard to. So they gave me this case number which is [protected]. And the gift card number [protected]. And so I sent them documents to them. And they kept saying it wasn't clear and that my proof of address wasn't accurate. Which I explained to them that I only have the letter with my proof of address on it. Because as far as a bank statement or doctor statement I couldn't provide them because it has my previous address on it. Not my present address on it. That is the only proof of address letter that I have is the letter I emailed them. I emailed them this information about 10 times. They have ignored me hung up the phone on me. And will not cooperate with me at all. And I want my gift card as soon possible or my $100 returned. Because I don't have any money to throw away. Anyone she understand that.

Vanilla Gift Cards 248 dollars was stolen from a 250 dollar visa vanilla prepaid gift card

I am outraged at Visa Vanilla prepaid gift card. I bought the card at a Shell gas station, I still have the receipt. Next day I registered the card on line at the Visa Vanilla prepaid card website. I did this so my funds would be protected, or so I thought. The next day noticed there were 2 transactions made on my card. These transactions were made by 2 different people, I could the names, the id numbers and also for both it said pay pal pending. That means they tried to register the cards at pay pal and they were successful. I spoke with 3 reps at the number I was given on the back of my card. The first 2 said they would do and investigation and it would take 8 days. The 3 rd said I had to file a dispute and she would email me the forms via my email. I am utterly disgusted with this company, Visa Vanilla prepaid gift card. How dare they allow this because they obviously have. The thieves, stole the money off my card, oh sorry, they left me with 2 dollars and 12 cents, off a 250 dollar card. Please change your process Visa Vanilla prepaid gift card. You have caused me a great deal of pain and suffering. It should not take 90 days and you should not be selling these cards or you should at least tell me the customer, they can not be used on line. Many like me, are having the same problem.

I truly hope they catch the thieves, that committed this crime. Theft is a crime and it's happening, far to much on line. Visa Vanilla gift card must change their policies. They are very confusing and do not seem to know what they are doing, they too need to be held accountable.

Vanilla Gift Cards gift card

My husband gave me a Vanilla Visa gift card for our anniversary. It had a balance of $200. I immediately registered it online because I thought it would be more secure that way. However, I was wrong. My card was hacked and somebody spent almost the entire amount, leaving me with $3. At the urging of a Vanilla Visa representative, I had my card "frozen". Even though the account was supposedly frozen right away the money is gone. I discovered the company where the fraudulent charge occurred and even have the transaction # but can't get anybody to help me. Vanilla Visa said they would send me a digital form to fill out but that was over a day ago and they still haven't e-mailed it to me. I have called them twice. This isn't right. They need to better secure their system and they need to have better customer service. When you call their 800 number, you get people with thick accents who couldn't care less about helping you. I would recommend that you NOT buy Vanilla Visa gift cards!

Vanilla Gift Cards I purchased 2 gift cards $500 & $200 neither card worked

I was advised by their corporate office there was nothing they can do and I was hung up on and blocked. After calling the 800 number on back of the card the agents were not able to see any funds deposited to the cards and said it is under investigation should have taken 7 to 10 days it has been 30 days. I received a claim number for both cards that were invalid. At this junction I am no longer able to discuss the card numbers because they have been deactivated. I am at a loss of $700.00 I am going to report this incident to the better business bureau next. I am so disgusted!

When I call customer service they tell me they going to sent dispute form in my email. Wait for few days. Nothing receive. Call again. Same answer. I have called 15 times. Still have not receive form yet. Now I give up. That is why never buy this Vanilla card again. Very easy to hack and terrible customer service.

Vanilla Gift Cards gift card

Absolutely useless, most places don't accept them then you find the balance has disappeared by them taking £2 per month admin charge and considering the only admin is them taking money, surely this should NOT be legal!
Has anyone managed to get these outrageous charges refunded?
Also is there any associated gift cards that behave like so so as I can ensure I advise everyone I know to avoid them?

Vanilla Gift Cards Card activation error

Never ever think of buying this card. Purchased a $200 card for $206 and it failed to activate. It can't be activated over the phone. You have to give your name, submit the purchase receipt and card photos in order for them to even start investigating. Imagine the inconvenience if you are on the road. The sales reps are rude and don't care that you basically paid your money for nothing. This is a pure case of false advertising, as they offer this product as an anonymous credit card, but you can't activate it as such. Although this activation failure is purely their fault they don't want to do anything to help you resolve this, let alone to compensate you for the inconvenience.

The company that is hiding behind this horrible product is called InComm Solutions

Yup exactly same thing happened to me when I tried to buy a gift card for a friend.
I was on the phone with a rep for 40min and in the end, he asked me to send in a bunch of receipts/proofs.
Apparently the activation error happens often enough. The store I purchased my card at they saw it happened to customers TWICE a month and it usually take MasterCard a month to refund you the money.

ABSOLUTELY WORST PRODUCT ON THE MARKET.
DON'T BUY IT.

Vanilla Gift Cards Mastercard

Received the Vanilla Prepaid Mastercard for $50 card as a gift 2015. One way Vanilla Steals your money is that your purchase must be for the exact amount you have on the card, or the card will not go through. So, for a $50 card, your balance a the store is $55, the card will just be declined instead of the $50 going through, and you paying the cashier the $5 balance after your credit has been applied. The cashier tells you the card has no funds because the card was declined by Vanilla. It is not until I spent 25 minutes with Vanilla's "customer" service that I was told your balance at the cashier must be for the EXACT amount left in the card. I am “glad” I called customer service because I was about to throw the card away thinking I may have used the funds already. It doesn’t end there, I was able to successfully use $39 dollars after having to manually punch in the numbers at Target a week later. $50-$39=$11 balance. The second way Vanilla Steals your money: A week later, I go to Trader Joes and separate my purchases so I have less than $11 total and the card will go through. No, did not go through and again wasted 25 minutes on the phone where they told me they had put a hold on the $11 balance and they would not able to clear the charges and release the $11 for 8 days. Why a hold on the $11? Vanilla said the cashier at Trader Joes cancelled the transaction and Vanilla’s policy is to put a hold on the funds for 8 days. The cashier at Trader Joes did NOT cancel the transaction! He was so helpful that in fact, he tried twice, once at $11 and once at $10 in case Vanilla charged a transaction fee. Matter of fact, he told me he had the same issue with one of those cards and had no patience to keep calling to figure out why he couldn’t use his balance so he threw away the card. See the pattern here, they try to do everything possible so they can keep your money...I would call that stealing. At this point, who knows if I will be able to use the $11 in a week or add 25 more minutes to the hour I have already spent on the phone with them. Never Ever buy a Vanilla Prepaid, Ever!

Each time they respond that they have been unable to check whether they have received the emails because their email fax address of [protected]@incomm.com is inaccessible. I also regret ever picking that vanilla pre-paid mastercard :( valued at $200.00 off the rack at shopper's in edmonton. Regrettably, i paid for the card in cash and didn't keep the receipt and i wasn't even aware that any of that was important as the card states activated when you purchase. So when i paid the money and the clerk gave me back the card, little did i know that when i tried to use the useless card 1 month later at sephora, that the card would be declined. (of course 1 month later i certainly threw away a shopper's receipt when cleaning out my bag as usually i only make small purchases there.) so when i called vanilla mastercard :( the very nice sympathetic customer service agent told me that the card was never activated and shows a zero $0.00 balance! She told me that without the receipt there was nothing that she could do for me and that she was very sorry. She also told me that this has happened before and on the clerk's side at the cashier at point of purchase everything can look fine and the card can say activated... But in fact... The card was never activated! They don't even have the date that i purchased it because my card was never actually activated and the funds $200 that i paid to the clerk never went on my card! It's like buying an expensive perfume in a box and not opening the box for a month and then when you finally open it, you find the box is empty and you didn't keep your receipt. So when you go back to store with the empty box and you say that you paid $200.00 for the perfume but when you got home the box was empty no one will be able to help you and it's likely that they may find it hard to believe. It's a great scam that the vanilla prepaid mastercard :( is running. Selling empty boxes to people. How many people buy these cards as gifts for other people and the recipient of the gift card never dares to tell them that the card had a zero balance $0.00 :( how many people don't use the card until well after they've thrown their receipt away only to find that the card was never activated properly and that they gave away $200.00 for a useless piece of plastic...And furthermore...What in fact happened to my $200.00?! ...Hahaha! Ironically i just took out the packaging for the card to take a photo of it and there is a gift box on it...And what's in the box?... Nothing!

I have dealth with this before on THREE seperate occasions.
If you phone the 1-800 number on the back and selecte their option "2" for lost or stolen cards and tell them you have an inactive card they will be able to assist you.
It's a bit of a pain but three times I had to go this route.
They will require you to fax them proof of purchase, the card and your name and phone number and they will mail you in a replacement card.
Been through this with Visa twice and Mastercard once.
