Safeway pharmacy

I called to fill four prescriptions, put in all the info, said the items would be ready after 11 am the next day. I went to pick my prescriptions and was told they couldn't fill it, I asked why, they said it was already filled by some other place but couldn't tell me where. Said I should call my insurance company.

Don't you think a person with enough smarts to be a pharmacist would have enough smarts to call the customer to inform them that there was a problem.

I made a special trip to the store in 110 degree heat just to have her stand in the back, not busy, and yell out, they couldn't fill it.

Went home, called insurance and was told it was an online company but they wouldn't be able to fill it for a few days. Unacceptable as I was two days from being out.

The store was at the
Safeway
pharmacy on Alma school and chandler heights blvd. In chandler, az.

Safeway poor customer service/bathrooms locked after hours

7/12/16

Had to do some late night shopping or go without eggs and milk for breakfast. Chose to shop. Normally I don't shop late at night, but this is Alaska and summer subsistence activities are a priority. I had my 4-year old and 2-year old with me because their dad is working out of town. My 4-year old had to go potty. We walk all the way to the other side of the grocery store and the public rest rooms are locked. I holler, "Is there an employee who can unlock the restroom door? Hello? I need an employee to help me! My little boy is going to pee his pants!" An employee checks through an employee's only area doorway to see who is yelling, pays no mind and goes back to whatever he was doing. Customers look at me like I'm crazy. My son has to go potty bad and I see that the normally locked after hours entrance is unlocked. I take my son outside and instruct him to urinate on the wall beside the doorway. I am humiliated. I go back inside the store to see a young employee. I am angry and inform him my 4-year-old had to pee outside the front entrance and ask for the manager. Other customers are still gawking. The manager and employee both claim they did not hear me yelling. They tell me that there is another bathroom next to the pharmacy way in the back of the other end of the store. The manager apologizes and blames it on the junkies that the store now has to lock their main public restrooms. I leave and abandon my groceries in the store. My 4-year old and 2-year old sons are upset and crying because there were things in the cart they really wanted. My 4-year-old begs me to go back in and buy the groceries. I don't want to ever spend another dollar in that store, but decide to pay for the groceries because I don't want to go on another shopping trip to Walmart. It's late and I'm tired. I decide that I will use the reference number on my receipt and raise awareness that locking the public restrooms is ridiculous. Walmart doesn't lock their restrooms preventing customers from using the bathroom. There are three available restrooms at Walmart for customers and they are never locked to stop customers from using them. Wasilla Safeway management is stupid.

Safeway thomas english muffins

Saturday, June 18, Back of store, Bread Department, Thomas English Muffins marked at $4.39, "Buy One Get one of Equal or Lesser Value Free." Clearly Marked, various assorted 12oz and 13oz Thomas English Muffins. Cashier charged my wife $4.39 each, instead of Buy One Get One Free. After we got home, I noticed that they had cheated us out of $4.39, as they had charged us for each the same reduculously high price for each 12 oz of muffins. That is, the store charged us $.73 for each of 12 muffins, or over $8.78, rather than the $4.39 as advertised. Simple, right? Go back to the store and see the cashier, get a refund of the my $4.39, no big deal, right?

Except the cashier does not take my word for it. She needs to go to the back of the store and CHECK to see if I am not telling the truth, as I seem like I must be a liar to this cheating cashier. She states that the 2nd item I purchased, although priced at $4.39, was NOT available on this promotion. I tried to get her to see the truth, that the price on the product I had chosen was $4.39, makred for sale "buy one of Equal or Lesser Value for FREE." I do admit that I said to her, "You people here at Safeway just do not seem to understand that one someone reads the price and it says get one of equal value Free, that..."
NOTHING! She walks away in a huff, all bent out of shape because I had used the phrase "You People" and she thought I was being rude to her. I was just trying to get her to see that I was only asking for what the sign says. So she begrudgingly gives me back $4.39, like as if I am robbing the store. A Manager comes out to work a Register, so I try to say to him what the sign says, but she says that the other Thomas Muffins are NOT on sale, while clearly, the sign did not say "Except for the Blueberry Muffins" which WERE on sale for $4.39. The cashier comes over and tells the Manager that I was rude to her and that he should lecture me on how to be more polite. I had to leave the store. I need an apology from that rotten store clerk and I need Safeway to stop cheating all the customers who read English.

Safeway deli sandwich

I purchased an All-American Sub last Friday, 06-10-16, at the Safeway at Hampden and Logan in Denver, Colorado. The crust was crunchy and had hard raised bumps that I believe broke my tooth. I had a filled tooth break while biting into it. The tooth was broken at the outside edge of filling. I have had a hard time contacting Safeway via phone [protected]) to initiate a complaint process. I talked with Jay Hollingsworth, the store manager, the following morning about this situation and all he could recommend was to call the 877 phone number at the bottom of the receipt. I took pictures of the large, ironically, pointed "tooth-like", very hard formation on the remaining bread. This formation must have gone into the middle of the tooth and acted like a splitting wedge to break my tooth. Please advise and contact me via phone or email, [protected], [protected]@cheerful.com. I tried to upload photo of this bread from both my computer and directly from my phone and it said "can't upload photo". I know I can attach it in an email to you, if you give me the contact email and person to call attention to it. Thank you, Marshall Lefford

Safeway customer service

I went to safeways today and only grab a few items seen a register not real busy and placed my items on the belt I then got told by the person serving me they could not serve me as I was a family member. My heart sunk I thought had I done something wrong like why was she not able to serve me so I headed up to self serve and seen a safeways staff and ask if this was true instead of answering me at first she ask who which made me feel like whats going on I told her who and without saying I am sorry this is our policy she said yes she cant serve you. I felt horrible, discriminated especially when in front of people I had to collect my items from the belt as though I did something wrong and go to another register. I have love safeways for years and had never shop at coles but this had made me feel so uncomfortable I am not sure I want to go back

There are very few retailers who do not have a policy like this. It is an integrity issue. Honestly, to claim embarrassment or discrimination over not being allowed to have a family member check you out is ridiculous.

Safeway monopoly game

I entered the Safeway Monopoly game when it started and shopped there so I could collect the tickets. On the last three days I shopped at two Safeway stores, Bonney Lake, WA and Auburn, WA. Both stores were out of tickets. They could not tell me of any local stores that still had tickets. What is the point of having this contest when you don't supply the tools to play? I feel that I have this was a waste of time. I also feel that I was misled to shop at Safeway to participate in this game when the stores knew they did not have tickets available. I believe Safeway and Albertson stores should demand an explanation from the game promoters.

Sincerely,
Diana M. Walton

Lmfao. People like you just BLOW MY MIND... completely RIDICULOUS [censored]s. Who don't really understand how things work and just [censored] and complain about EVERYTHING/ ANYTHING.
So, smart one. How long did you want the game to continue for, forever? It just lasts until they run out of tickets.
Also, that's how the game works. For each set, there are ONE or TWO rare pieces/semi-rare pieces. The rest of the pieces are super duper easy to get. Then they will make just a handful of the rare/semi-rare pieces and send them out. In result everyone ends up with all the same pieces and is missing 1 or 2 for every set. You were not close to winning, don't worry.
It's to make you FEEL LIKE you are about to win. Which makes you shop there over other places, and they make more money. Which is why they even do the game in the first place. As a promotion to make money... thats the only reason businesses do anything. If you didn't make them money and promote their company they are not going to do it. Most companies, at these the ones still in business, don't really like just giving away free money for no reason.
The game is BS i agree. The entire [censored] show but the things you are complaining about ARE RIDICLOUS.
Let me get this straight... you expected them to stop working (checking people out etc.) and go call each store for you to see if they still had tickets? Let the line build to 50 people, and say sorry the queen needs me to do this for her because she is the only person in the world. No... it does not work that way. Lmfao. Entitled. lol.

I hate things like this - but I got a handful of these tickets and now feel like I must check to see if I have a rare one before tossing them out. Very annoying! I was quite happy shopping there until they attacked me with this time wasting racket. I signed up for the app on my ipad - and keep encountering "temporary login" problems, which are apparently the norm judging from many bad reviews.

I'm inclined to take my business elsewhere in future in retaliation.

This is worse than the last monopoly game, not enough prizes and crappie ones at that (like Safeway doughnuts).

Completely agree! Total scam! Even the small prizes like a free can of tomato sauce or free gravy mix, etc, they never restock. I’ve been going back every week to look, and it’s always empty, and the manager said he doesn’t know when it will be restocked and he refused to write me a rain check. So basically these prizes will expire by May 29th and I won’t be able to claim it. I think this is a form of “false advertising” / bait and switch disguised as a game to get people to come into their store to buy, which is illegal.

I am living in Willcox Arizona and the once busy and somewhat famous singing cowboy town is almost a ghost town now. Safeway is the only major food shoping store left here. The rest is truck stop and quicky mart stores. But to the point.. I decided to try the game out and after three weeks trying to keep the damn tickets stuck to the funky fold out board I gave up. Unless you have room to pin up the playing board on a wall and use glue to attach the tickets forget it. I am putting all the tickets in a plastic baggie and will give them to someone else who has the time and patience to mess with it.
In the mean time I am only checking for instant winners for which I have only recieved instant winners for a couple more free tickets. No way will I give all the private information they want to play online. So much for the easy lick-um stick-um. I guess my spit aint sappy enough. Jesus loves you even if safeway does not... I noticed today that the cheaper soda went up a dollar on the half case. Why are they raising the prices? They sure aren't giving away any prizes or money. Don the Baptist

Safeway rotten produce... again!

This is the third or forth time that I have purchased produce from Safeway which turned out to be rotten. Even though the label on the food indicates a later sell by date, the contents of the produce is not edible. This has happened previously with bagged salad, strawberries, sugar snap peas, and apples. Safeway, don't sell food with a false expiration date or food which will expire before the consumer may eat it.

Safeway almond safeway select ice cream, 4 pack

Yesterday 10/03/2016 I purchased Safeway select almond ice cream, 4 pack. Last night I had one before bed, it was as yummy as the first pack I brought last week. Today I had another at 6pm, over half way through whilst enjoying my ice cream I noticed that there was one seemingly piece of almond that wouldn't break between my teeth. Upon pulling it out of my mouth I realised it was not a piece of delicious almond at all, instead it was a piece of wood, or bark, IN MY ICE CREAM! Obviously I am horrified! I have two little sister who easily could have gotten the wood chip instead of me. I have friends who have children that are free to help themselves to our fridge and freezer, one of them could have also easily gotten the wood chip. I am now very paranoid about the remaining two ice creams. They will not be eaten I will most likely throw then away, unless you wish to test them. I expect a recall on all Safeway select almond ice cream.

Safeway open nature lamb loin chops sk# [protected] 2

Flier ad: on sale. Opened to prepare and meat smelled bad. One piece had turned partly brown; this was under the info/price tag. Clever, but short sighted.
Packed on 2/23/16 Sell thru 2/25/16 Purchased on 2/25/16 and opened to prepare immediately upon returning from the store, about 8 minutes. This exact same thing happened about 3 weeks ago, when I had guests...
I have been shopping at this safeway since the 1970's, when it was the old store with the great arched wood beams in the ceiling. I have had this sort of problem occurring for about 3-4 years including: unfrozen items out of the freezer, refrozen lousy ice cream, moldy vegetables at same day of purchase or after1-3 days in fridge (esp. broccoli, 'fresh' strawberries, ) apples and lemons developing rot in 1-2 days, watery tasteless shrimp/crablegs, fruits that go from rock hard to immediate center rot (never ripening), rotten watermelons, oranges, etc. I do not blame the person in produce; she is a busy, focused person who takes pride in her work. These problems have to do with extending shelf life... a call by Upper Mgt.This safeway services Manitou Springs, (5, 000 residents) and the west side of Colorado Springs. From this store there are 3 other grocery stores; King Soopers, 7 minutes; Super King Soopers, 9 minutes; Albertsons, 10 minutes. There is also a full sized Walmart 7 minutes away. All of these alternatives are on the west side of Colorado Springs, and both King Soopers and Albertsons are larger stores with more stock and selection.
I have already stopped doing most of my weekly grocery shopping at safeway. Your store is mostly a well stocked 7/11 convince store to me. Heck, I even joined Costco... If you don't want this store to die, I suggest you take action on this growing problem; I don't believe you are unaware of it, just have a look besides crunching numbers. The upside to all of this is that this store would make a great skate rink, the others are 40 minutes away.

Safeway racist female caucasian employee at self-checkout machines

After shopping at Safeway, Kensington, #410, 10th St NW, Calgary, I decided to use the self-checkout. The Safeway employee responsible for the self-checkout machines at that time was a Caucasian female, about 5' 8" in height, medium build with long curly blonde hair. The racial profiling occurred between 1:45pm - 1:55 pm on January 31, 2016.

All the machines were being used, none of the self-checkout machines were working. A middle-agedfemale finished using one of the machines, the furtherest way from the female employee I just described. This customer had no problem with the machine, as soon as she finished, the female employee placed a sign on the machine to use the next available one. I was next in line. Once the female prejudiced employee placed that sign on the self-checkout machine, the next available machine was right next to her. I refused to move even though she came up to where I was standing and told me that that check-out was available.

I allowed the lady behind me to use that machine and patiently waited for a machine closest to the main aisle to become available. While I was scanning my items, the machine that had been "closed off" no longer had any problems and was being used. Also with the change in staff at the self-checkout machines, were two female employees I think are from the Philippines.

That racist female Caucasian employee looked at me waiting to use the self-checkout and wanted to "make sure" that I did not "steal" anything.

She should be fired.

Safeway stocking issue

Today, I was shopping at the following Safeway store: 9620 28Th Ave Sw, Seattle WA 98126 I went to the toilet paper section and wished to purchase a Safeway brand searched through all of the Safeway toilet paper selections. I was very disappointed to see that all but one product had a hole in the packaging obviously made by a digit of the hand of the stock person. The person who made the hole had done it purposely, not respecting the Safeway customer by breaking the packaging in order to make his.her stocking go by more quickly. I found one package that was on the bottom (probably there before the shelf was restocked). It wasn't the type that I had wanted, but it was the only one without a hole in the packaging. Mr. Glass

Safeway two out of 4 deliveries with issues, gave it a final fifth try and it was a disaster!

Nov 29, 2015 I set up delivery on Nov 25, 2015 to be delivered Nov 29, 2015 between 4 PM and 5 PM I have been shopping at Safeway for over 20 years and I have used the delivery service just starting this year (2015). The first two deliveries were great and no complaints at all. The third delivery was late but I did receive a call saying that they would be 30 min late prior to the end of my delivery window. The fourth delivery was missing items that we were charged for and we had to get a reimbursement, as well as being a little late. The fifth delivery was such a disgusting experience I will not be using the delivery again as well as I will not be a customer of any Safeway anymore. I set up a delivery 4 days in advance and paid the extra $12.95 for an hour window delivery 4 PM to 5 PM. At 5:14 PM Nov 29, 2015 I called customer service and sat on hold for over 8 min until my call was taken. I asked if my delivery was still coming and the customer service rep was not able to provide an answer. He put me on hold to try to call the driver and when he returned to the call with me he said he could not reach the driver and he will not know where he is until the driver receives his voicemail. I asked what could be done due to I have already waited 30 min over my hour window (which I paid extra to have) and his response was there is nothing that can be done. I informed him I had obligations to get to that I will lose money on if I was not able to make it soon. He still could not help me. I then asked to have my delivery changed until later that night so I could still make it to my obligation and not lose my money. His response was he can ask but it will be denied and there is nothing he can do about that. He was unable to change my delivery time, unable to tell me how late the drive was running and unable to provide one solution to help my situation. I asked to have my delivery canceled and he said he could do that but my money has already been taken and it will be 7 to 10 business day before I would get my money back. I then explained that this will not work as I am a single mother of 3 kids and on an extremely tight budget and I do not have the money to cover that loss and my kids need the food for school lunches the next day. Still there is no help provided, other than “I’m sorry and understand your frustration but there is nothing that can be done”. He attempted to call the driver again and was unsuccessful and once again did nothing to help. I at that point asked if he could at least refund my delivery charge, he said he could take care of that (still have not seen that refund). At 5:36 PM I finally received a call from the driver saying he could be to my house between 6:15 PM and 7:15 PM. I explained that did not work and the driver was nice and said he would come after I was able to get back. David (who was very nice) finally delivered by groceries at 9:15 PM that evening. He informed me that the drivers do all of their calls when they are running behind (but they are unable to use phones when driving) and that they have been behind for 2 days and extremely backed up. I do not know all the items missing due to my receipt not being provided at delivery. I do know a few items that were not delivered but I am not able to find out if I was charged for the items I ordered but not delivered. I did send an email to customer service first thing the next morning asking for my receipt to be emailed and have yet to hear anything from them. When I do get my receipt I will be checking what I was charged for and what was actually delivered. (I have been charged for items not received so I am going off of actually service provided before) Take away frustrations – - Why have customer service that can do absolutely nothing? - Why have the drivers make their own calls when they can’t use a phone when driving? This makes absolutely no logical sense at all and makes for the worst delivery service I have ever had. - If you know your deliveries have been late the last 2 days why didn’t anyone call the customers to let them know? - Why did I have to ask for my delivery charge to be refunded? That is standard customer service to offer the money paid for a service that was not performed back to the customer. The fact that it isn’t an automatic policy shows that there is no integrity in the company or care for the customer. - 3 times out of 5 my deliveries were late. This shows a lack of competence in the delivery system - Why am I charged for items not delivered? This system is a complete joke and has managed to destroy any like for Safeway.

Safeway poor customer service

Went in for lunch at lunch time and was told the "build your own" sandwich was not build your own that it was buy whats left over of the pre-made ones (all they had were some sad looking ones on rye bread that i dislike) The lady was VERY rude not only to us but the couple in front of us as well. We decided to just buy a pre made salad instead...GROSS! It looked like it was made over a week ago. you cant really tell how fresh the lettuce is until you open it and take all the condiments off the top...there was maybe 3 pieces of green lettuce and the rest was brown! we frequently buy our groceries from there as its close. There is however a co-op directly across the street. I cant find the receipt for the salad but I would at the least like a refund on it. my email is [protected]@outlook.com

Safeway I called them couple of times and hoped that they would remove the dumpster

I asked the company Safeway Wrecking Corp to provide the dumpster. They brought it and when their driver was in my house, he told me that he could take all these windows and remove them as well. I agreed and after he took them away, I called to the company and asked someone to come and pick their dumpster, because I didn’t need it anymore. To my surprise, no one replied. Their behaviour was strange and unexplainable.

Safeway safeway

I have lived and shopped at Safeway here in Burns, Oregon for over forty years. I have never seen this store in the disarray as it is now. Shelves not faced, products not stocked, floors dirty, broken milk cartons in the dairy section. I cannot mention the employee's name; I wouldn't want them to lose their job. When I asked what had happened to the store, I was told you have to have managers that care and want to work. When I have talked to other people I know about their experiences at this Safeway store, they have had the same reaction. The condition of this store is unacceptable.

Safeway old food on shelves, out of stock

Safeway in Clinton, Maryland always have outdate, old food left on shelves and out of stock on staple foods. Although I try to make sure I check the date on everything, I often end up one at least 1 food item that got missed and has an old date on it. It is seriously inconvenient to have to keep going back to this poor quality store to return stuff. They don't even check the date of foods on their shelves and are frequently out of stuff you want--and they don't make even effort to get the items filled quickly. It could take weeks, months before you see a restock. This store has really gone done over the years.

Safeway feeling ripped off

I wasn't able to determine whether or not they were affiliated with Microsoft, and Microsoft told me they weren't.

When I told them I didn't want to do business with them anymore, I felt like I was being ignored. I gave them 2 checks: 1 for $1, 992- and $1, 998-.

I received more phone calls from them saying I had computer problems, but I lost my temper every time they called. I don't think they'll stop calling me!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR GRANT THEM ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER! Back in March 2015 I unfortunately allowed them and paid them 149.99$ and they gained access to my computer the very same day I watched their tech support gain access to my computer without my consent not once not twice but three times and watched in horror as they pulled up with my two 6 and 8year old boys in the room. I scrambled to click out of all p sites and cut off his access to my computer! I called and was told that it would be taken care of and was harassed for now a year by continuous techs claiming my computer is messed up and if I pay an additional 50$ they harassed me so bad when I was 8months pregnant with my youngest I was literally in tears and yelling for them to please leave me alone I didn't have an additional 50$ to pay them that I had already paid them over 140$ they continue to harass me and I have requested every time they call to please cancel and refund me my money and also my husband has spoken to them as well and the techs actually have the nerve to tell me that the person that got access to my computer without my consent and watched p 3x ... well... that never happened... I am hoping this will stop any other persons to purchase this company! THEY ARE A SCAM!

Yeah, they got me too! Fortunately, I read this complaint before I was going to pay them but that was after I let them scan my whole computer. When I told their tech on the phone what I was reading, he said he would get his supervisor then he hung up. I contacted the real MS tech support and it took them hours clear everything out and install a new firewall. It cost me $149 (what those crooks charge) but I also have unlimited access to tech support and the firewall for a year. Thanks for giving me the heads up!
