This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I was promised the price of $9.95 and $39.90 was taken from my account electronically for regcure software which I never even downloaded. I never will download it and demanded a full refund as they had advertised was available... to no avail. Please help me as I am on a fixed income and can not afford to line their deceptive and fraudulent pockets. I was given a receipt #YSBLT6DD, password #57860c12 and ticket ID #MSD668861 respectively, which I used in my attempt to obtain a refund as was originally offered prior to the purchase. I have not received no response as of yet.

I haven't paid for it yet, but on the page it clearly states that it's $29.95, and then below, it says $9.95 also for web browser and cleaning optimization YOU GUYS ARE GETTING CONFUSED, thinking the whole thing is $9.95, when for a single computer it's $29.95, and then IF you want the web browser and cleaning optimization, it will be $9.95 more.
After reading these reveiws though, I don't think I'll be buying it!

I bought Reg Cure on 15th Jan 09 as I had problems with my Bios which this company stated it could fix. I downloaded as it said it was $9.99 and was charged $39.99 what a lie. Also it did not fix my Bios problem. On one site I read a review which placed this software as one of the best. After getting ripped off I don't know what to believe. My computer is still working at the moment although have not checked all my programmes yet.

First of all, I appreciate being able to go into this site and get so much information about bad products. My computer has slowed down significantly over time. I’m busy and don’t want to dump my hard drive since my computer is older and all the software will probably need new drivers in order to re-install.

Well, I should know better, but I downloaded this RegCure program into my computer just because their site looked professional. Then I did a scan. It found all kinds of problems. But when I clicked on the button to have it remove the problems, a message appeared stating that it would only remove 2 problems unless I registered the software, (in other words, purchase it).

That message reeked of bait and switch. I tried to "X" out of their screens from my desktop, but they wouldn’t close. Every time I clicked on the "X", there were repeated messages stating that I had to finish the cleaning procedure. So I physically disconnected my internet access from my computer then the program shut down with no further problems.

Then while still offline, I went into my Add/Remove Programs and took out the RegCure installation. I re-connected to the internet and then found you guys. If I cannot find a decent registry cleaner at a store, I’ll just have to break down and clean my hard drive. I’m no geek either, so it’s a lot of work. But it might just be the only answer.

So, does anyone know of a good product?

I also purchased regcure for $9.99 which turned out to be $9.99 + $29.99 when the receipt went through paypal (although this did not display the total price when purhcased on paypal). And what a load of rubbish, it didin't even work I ended up formatting my computer as a result!

P.S. all of the others are not much better, and few trials of some actually cause your machine to slow up, unless ( lof course), you actually buy their cr*p products, worst of all on my experience they are almost impossible to get rid of completely, what a fraud all of this market is...

I bought RegCure, it screwed up my machine and my e-mail completely, I had to remove it, I have since lost the registration key and can not get a response from them, about a refund or a copy of the product registration I paid for, I use Vista, and wonder why microsoft have no decent registry cleaner and optimizer as part of this software, so we have to pay, and pay and pay...my advice is do not pay either again but opt for another operating system next time, try Linux...

Hey... I forgot the worst thing this damn software does... It covertly removes ALL your "RESTORE POINTS" so you CAN NOT do a SYSTEM RECOVERY to a time BEFORE you loaded this RegCure Disaster... I could kill them for this maneuver!

TERRIBLE PRODUCT, DON'T BUY IT, IT WILL SCREW UP YOUR COMPUTER!
This 'cleaner' also cleaned out my 'document' viewer file so that I now get an error 1706; "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD ROM or other removable disk. Insert DOCUMENT VIEWER disk. Then the INSTALL WIZARD tries to install (over and over again, I can't get rid of it) then tells me the same thing. Further, I can no longer turn off my computer without holding down the OFF switch.

I also was quoted $9.95 for regcure, but was charged $39.95 on my card. Some false advertising perhaps?

I tried Regcure In January 2008 and immediatel experienced problems. In particular my HP Officejet 4315 and Omnipage 16 software components were completely mucked up and had to be re-installed. Also, I have lost the ability to perform a Windows Restore operation and I have been unable to correct that yet. Another irritating problem is the appearance of a warning message each time I start my computer telling me that an installer programme cannon find the required file, so there must be another corrupted program somewhere which I have not found yet. To be fair, Regcure providers ( Parentologic) responded quickly to my complaint and made several recommendations, including undoing all the Regcure 'corrections', none of which worked, so I asked for my money back and they appear to have set that process in motion (it takes 5 days). I received a final e-mail from Regcure on the 1st Feb. which includes the following

"We apologise for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

RegCure is an effective Registry Cleaner that, when used properly, can increase a computer's performance. We have many satisfied customers including those in the High Tech Industry who have experienced no problems using RegCure. Unfortunately RegCure is not designed to recognise every possible program or how a computer can build it's Registry. Due to the uniqueness of each computer it would be impossible to do so. What RegCure does is provide the computer user with a list of probable Registry Entries that are not needed and allows the user to remove them. As Registry Editing can be problematic, users are advised to ensure each entry is invalid before removing it. For more information about the Windows Registry please visit the Microsoft Support Site at the link below;

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/256986

We have appreciated your business and regret that you have decided to discontinue our service.

We are committed to providing our users with the best software, and are always looking at ways to improve and be more innovative. We hope you will keep us in mind for the future.

Your request has been submitted to our Refunds department for processing."

Unfortunately, that does nothing to solve the problems the use of Regcure has caused and I desperately wish Regcure had issued the above as a Health Warning BEFORE I used their produce.

BTW I am now using RegistrySmart without any problems whatsoever. I am not an expert but I believe that in their publicity seeking motivated attempt to design a programme that indicates it has found the most errors/faults in the Registry etc, Regcure have created the problems. Registrysmart only notifies a much smaller number of faults but only ones which are probably real ones it even warned me of two items which arose from uninstalling Regcure!

If anyone wants to see the full correspondence then please ask me.

To William A Adams

For the most part the Registry Key "problems" notified by Regcure are NOT problems. They are simply blank items left over when Windows completes certain processes and do you no harm whatsoever. Regcure treats EVERY empty key as a problem, when it probably isn't.

All, or most, registry cleaners are free to download and run. The freebie is a report that identifies how many problems were found that COULD be cleaned (if you purchase a license). Few, if any, actual clean anything until you purchase the software.

I don't have a complaint, but I don't think that the people at RegCure, explain their operations to the
general population very well. I subbscribed to it and paid $39.90 for their software. Now I see that you can get it free. What's going on here ? Plus, I do not know what empty registry keys is all about.
Thank you.
