After having and paying for this service for more than a year, I realized that it is better to cancel my 4 trackers due to the frustration and the lack of accuracy.
Once the cars stop in a intersection and it takes more than a minute. You loose their location the entire day or night. You don't know where the cars are for hours. And you are suppose to have that service to know their locations. It is crazy, a joke and very frustrating.

The systems arm itself constantly. We had to unplug it in order for it to stop. We had a service call. The guy came out to change the panel but reset the entire system. He stated a new panel wasn't needed so he reset the entire system. Two hours later, the system started doing the exact same thing. The 2nd panel isn't working at all. We have requested another service call to come out. It's very frustrating to be paying for a service that isn't working properly especially security.
Desired outcome: We just want the service to work.

Several years ago I orderer a product from them and could never get it to work. The directions were written by a person who's second lanuage was English. I contacted their technical department that was located in the Phillipines and again was working with individuals whose second lanuage was english. After seven hours, I completely gave up and stopped doing business with them. After several years pasted I decided to give them another try. After using two tracking devices for months I cancelled, but they insisted that I would receive another month free and continued to bill me for several months after that and refused to give me a refund in either money or time in the future. I am a private detective for 25 years and will never, ever use this company again. I do not do business with people like this.

I am extremely disappointed in this company. I have spent the last year (yes I said year), attempting to fix issues with a device and have thus far gotten absolutely no resolution. My eon 3 battery drains within 10 days at best. When I first purchased the eon 2, at least that would last 6-8 weeks (which is still less than the 3 months it claims to last for), but at least that was acceptable based on the amount of activity. But for the last year I have spent endless hours on the phone with them, troubleshooting, monitoring, adjusting etc, and no change. I have demanded over a dozen replacements and they are all exactly the same, which leads me to believe that maybe they are sending back the same unit I sent them. At this point I am incredibly frustrated and feel that this company is an absolute scam! I feel like i've literally lost maybe over 300 hours of my life on the phone with them only to never reach a resolution. If they can't stand by their product, then they should shut down or stop selling it.

I have never used this service and the gps and I was taken advantage of my age and disability check your records as to if it was ever used because I did a search and I am at fault for not reading my emails and the small print the fact that I have been charged $600.00 to date for a service for a device that did not work and you were told that case #658625 and all the while you have been charging me for something you put on automatic to take advantage of people like me, I am sure the ftc will listen to my story.
The gps device never worked and I never used the service you kept on automatic and $650.00 later because of my age and disability and mental state you took advantage of me and I want my money back all of it because it didn't work and I never used the service.
selling obsolete equipment 2G is gone
they are selling nano 3 a gps tracking device that uses 2 G tecnology--obsolete in southwest florida. ALL these nano 3 devices, they are selling will be obsolete in a year or 2-- mine never had a clue where it is.

We purchased a Nano "child tracker" from Brickhouse Security to protect our pre-school child. It stated that it would allow parents to track their child in real-time, and allow the child to send a panic signal to parents through their smart phone or email. Elizabeth Smart is shown on the website touting it as a way to protect children from the kind of abduction she experienced, and they have promoted it in the news as such. When we purchased the product, we were disappointed to find that it would not track from inside a structure or send alerts in anything like real time. When it arrives, the instructions state that you should initially drive around with it on the dash of your vehicle, but it turns out that the device won't work going forward unless it is similarly exposed to the sky (at least according to their customer support). What I can tell you is that in practice panic alerts arrived many hours later (sometimes the next DAY) when they arrived at all. The "real-time" tracking with minute-by-minute updates showed a single ping from the previous day and would not do anything further. If your child was missing, you would be every bit as out of luck as if you had not had the false sense of security of having bought this device as your child's frantic attempts to press the panic button would be useless, the tracking ineffective unless the kidnapper had him riding up on the dash of his getaway vehicle. I contacted Brickhouse "tech support", everyone I spoke with when I called on the weekend was apparently in India. They knew nothing about the product, variously telling me that I had to drive around with the product on the dashboard for it to work at all and that even the panic button would not work "without a signal from the sky". Asked why there would be any link between the passive GPS signal and the phone signal that sends panic alerts, they were again ignorant. They then told me that I had purchased a "vehicle tracker" and needed to speak to "sales" who they said could advise me of the right product for MY application. I asked which product that could be since the ONLY child tracker advertised on their website is the Nano and it became a circular argument going nowhere. When I said I wanted to return the product, she told me I was subject to a 40% restock fee. Shocked, I asked where I had agreed to that, particularly since the product in NO WAY works as it is represented and the company states that you can try the product at no risk. After a pause I was told I would be granted a special reduced 10% restock fee. I later reached a US tech support person who shared the same confusion about the role and capabilities of the product. In the end, they charged me a 20% fee to restock a product that I had bought based on their lies. This company is a nightmare, ignorant at best and unethical at worst- they are certainly guilty of false advertising, and the tech support is a morass of frustration and apathy. If you are serious about protecting your child, I'd advise you to stay the hell away from Brickhouse Security and esp. their Nano product- Buyer beware!

return policy and product quality
The hidden camera speakers w/recording (dvr) did not work. I placed a call to customer service. They could not help me and told me to contact the manufacturer. I did. The manufacturer wanted me to go through more than I thought necessary. Installation should not be this difficult. I received an rma for this product and another that I though was cheaply made and returned them immediately. They were in the same box when I returned them. I received a credit for the second product but not the speakers. They said the speakers were in a damaged box. The box was in excellent condition when I mailed it by ups. I received the speakers back the next day by fedex - in that damaged box. I took pictures and refused the package. I have left three messages with a manager at brickhouse and have not yet received a return call.
I have filed a dispute of the charges through my credit card company. Oh, and they charged me on the return package of the speakers in the damaged box, which I am also disputing!

Quality is horrible. Nothing provided to hang the smoke detector camera, and upon them cutting out the back of the camera, there is hardly a surface to adhere velco, as they recommended. The SIM card is extremely difficult to get in and out even with my small petite hands, let alone a mans hands. The manual DOES NOT explain the product, customer service is horrible...I have NEVER spent so much time on hold. The camera just simply DOES NOT work. I have spoke with 3 different customer service people, and non of them can properly explain even what the only 2 lights mean. You have to have a TV to actually set up the device, being this is for a business I had to make multiple trips home to set up and re set up this device. The time didn't hold. There are not specific instructions in the manual on how to set up motion detection. They were not honest about the life of the battery, or the recordable hours on the SD cards I purchased in addition to the camera. When I received this camera the packing job was poor, and there are plastic shavings inside the device where they had cut to put the camera in. The quality is extremely poor, the saudering (or in this case hot glue) is not holding, and the velcro strip for the battery is not holding either, and I have only takin it out 2 times. I AM DONE...received my RMA on my 15th business day after receipt of product. It has seriously taken this long to finally be so frustrated, and I am not normally so technologically challenged. It just simpy a piece of $488 crap. I hope they refund my money, but I am very doubtful that all of a sudden they are going to become an honest company. I have a feeling that my frustrations are not done yet. DO NOT DO NOT PRUCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY..they are a sham.
fraudulent advertising
I purchase what was advertised as a security camera system with a built in lithium battery back up.
The system does not have the ability to take any batteries and cannot operate as advertised.
They won't issue a refund and still have the fraudulent advertising on their website.
Stay away from these thieves.

Fraudulent Advertising! Attempted to purchase a monitoring device for an elderly relative. Falsely accepted order and said would ship right out. Now almost two months later, still don't have device. Repeated emails, phone calls, etc. no help. Promise to return calls and don't.

I recently bought the child locator from Brickhouse security. It is advertised to help you find your child if they get lost. It doesn't. I tested it out on my husband at the mall. We split up and I tried to find him using the locator. It didn't work. It is advertised to work within a 600 ft radius. It doesn't work out of a 2 ft radius. It was a big hassel to return it, and then they charged me $50 to return it. I am so upset.

I have called Brickhouse 35 times regarding our order. I have asked for a supervisor on each occasion and been told each time that no one is available to speak with they were either unavailable at the moment or were out for the day. Today I was told by their CSR, Oliver, that the person who would be able to help me does not speak with customers, that I have to go through Oliver. I have been lied to and passed off since I received their product. I was told when I purchased the product, they would bill us by mail, not the credit card monthly. I have sent in their credit application twice by fax and 3 times by e-mail. It is absolutely ridiculous that I have had to call 35 times and still have gotten no where. I have done everything in my power other than driving over 1900 miles their office and standing there while they get the billing issue fixed. This is the absolute poorest customer service that I have ever received. I am not impressed with their company, employees or services provided.
Yes, I must urge everyone on the Internet to not deal with this company. Brickhouse Security is the most blatant purveyor of false advertising and poor customer service I have ever encountered in my life. What they're doing seems to be borderline criminal and I really think someone should look into their business practices. They are beyond dishonest.
I purchased a product from them that did not work anywhere near as advertised and it is impossible to get them to rectify the situation. To get hold of a live person to voice your complaints to is impossible. I think the whole thing is just a sham and front for something sinister.
Do your wallet a favor and do not deal with Brickhouse Security under any circumstances -- no matter what the "too good to be true" advertising says!

After reading so many negative comments, reviews and complaints about Brickhouse Security from so many different websites, I have decided that our company will not be using their services.
I'm having a problem with Brickhouse Security as well. I just bought one of those self-contained micro video cameras from them. It is supposed to feature sound activated recording. Mine is not working. I have already emailed their technical support department twice - once last week, and once this week. No response so far. I'll be giving Tom Duffy a call.

I purchased a product that didn't work as advertised and tried to return it. Could not talk to a person, only was able to email them. Customer servcie was absolutely no help. Finally got it returned but they charged me! I was going to purchase something more expensive... Not any more! You shouldn't either, they're horrible to deal with.

Brickhouse security is in the business of coming up with unique products, producing them way below par and over-charging. Either the products do not work or they are junk. For instance: the child locater device, usb media pens, cameras, etc. Their return policy requires an rma number to be obtained within 5 days. This means you probably wont know if it needs to be returned until it is too late. They know they make junk, so they will not stand behind it. Beware of brickhouse products!

Do NOT DO IT! I was broken into TWICE and the alarm did NOT go off or dispatched local PD. The police officers were in shock when reviewing the camera how long the robber was in the house and the ALARM did NOT GO OFF. BE SAFE AND STAY AWAY FROM BICKSHOME SECURITY!
I purchased the Camscura Micro video Covert cam from Brickhouse Security and have had nothing but problems with it. The ad on the BrickhouseSecurity website did not specify that a Class 10 SD is required for this device. After purchasing an SD card and going through the set ups the unit did not work. The troubleshoot page in manual said the steady red light indicates an SD card is not detected. Called customer service (which is outsourced overseas in my case) and the rep advised I need to get a Class 10 SD card ( again which is not specified in the ad or in manual) Went out and exchanged the SD card, installed it and still was not operating to record after power up. I called tech support again and the second rep (again probably overseas and not at all polite or understanding) now said the card had to be formatted. Did the format, still the same.. not recording on power up. Going to return it and from what ive read in other posts here, my return process may be just as frustrating. Dont waste your time or hard earned money with these products, ill be continuing my search for something reliable.
I bought a GPS device, it's been two years, I have been having all kinds of problem, one think for sure it is not accurate not even 100 feet . and always behind at least 45 minutes .

Do not buy from them! Total rip off! Anthony Rios comes across as a great customer service agent but is really just heavily baiting you to spend more money on products that will not do what they say. Our vehicle tracking devices constantly freeze up. I notified brick house of this problem and Anthony suggested maybe it was just a faulty device. I was convinced to buy another one to test this theory and am now stuck with 2 devices that do not do at all what they suggested. DO NOT GIVE THEM ONE DOLLAR!
Ordered a GPS that you put into your vehicle but it never worked. Call tech numerous times but it didn't work. Tech sounded like they were Indian so communication was bad. Returned product but was still charged monthly monitoring fee after I told them product never worked.

Canadian customers, beware! I purchased an item priced at $29.95 USD, they charged me $32.95USD for shipping costs, and then I had to pay $16.53 CAD in UPS brokerage and duty fees! Given the outrageous shipping costs, I was sure taxes and duties would be included, or at least that the company would reimburse these brokerage fees. When I complained to the company, they advised me that they would not reimburse me for the duties. How does a 6X6X2" box sent from Indianapolis to Canada, arriving one full week after the order was shipped, cost $32.95 in shipping? So I ended up paying more than double the costs that an American would pay, simply because I am Canadian. This is outrageous gouging of Canadian customers. I will never shop at this place again and plsn to complain about them all over the Internet so that no other Canada or international customer gets gouged as I was. I posted this complaint to their Facebook page and they promptly deleted it. They proudly display a consumer ratings website on their Facebook page but when I visited that site to post a negative rating, it would not allow me to post a rating.
