hotel reservation under false pretenses
Hello.
I am very, very upset! I did a google search yesterday for a Hilton hotel in Tallahassee, FL. When i selected the 'call' button, somehow apparently it contacted me to priceline, rather than Hilton. I still dont know how that happened, but regardless, the fact is that I continued with the call and was NEVER informed that I was speaking with priceline rather than Hilton. I was 100% under the impression that I was speaking with a Hilton representative. Not once did the representative say that he did not work for Hilton, despite the fact that I ask him multiple questions about my Hilton Honors rewards and about making reservations with Hilton discounts! The only thing he did say when I questioned him about looking up my honors number was that they should have no problem whatsoever looking up my honors number at check in, and have my rewards credited that way! What a blattant lie!
Plus, though he gave me a confirmation number, he never actually emailed me my confirmation like he was supposed to! I've never seen such blattant lies and bait-and-switch in my life! I didn't discover that the reservation was made through priceline until I arrived at the hotel, and of course since this is a 3rd party, my honors rewards can't even be used!
I am beyobd irate! I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever use priceline in the future (which is a shame for you because i did used to use you and i travel A LOT). And i will make sure that NONE of my friends and family ever use you in the future as well! Have a nice life getting less business!

no confirmation rec'd, charged for trip. no return call back
I'd give them a zero if possible!
In March 2018 I was trying to book a vacation package from Toronto to Orlando. The site would allow me to pick my hotel and flights, and input my name and my sisters names as passengers and it allowed me to put my credit card information in. Unfortunately after hitting submit I would receive an error message indicating that they flights I had chosen we no longer available and I would have to pick new flights. I attempted to book this package over multiple days as the flights were continuing to show as available to only ever receiving the same message "flights not available". I contacted a customer service representative looking for some assistance in booking my package only to be advised that the Customer Service Reps only assist customers after they have booked and received a confirmation number for a service through the web-site. The agent couldn't help me book a trip. I asked about the error message I was receiving and he indicated that I just needed to keep trying or I had to choose other flight times. He confirmed that the flights while they appear on the web-site as an option may no longer be available. I hung up and tried again over different dates as per his suggestion to book my vacation, still with no success - still receiving the same message. I gave up trying to book through Priceline as any of the other flight times being shown didn't work with my schedule (and really who knows if they were actually going to be available). While I was unsuccessful in booking my vacation package there was still a hold put on my credit card for the money. I contacted the customer service team to find out why there was a hold put on my credit card given that I was unable to book through the web-site. The customer service agent confirmed that no trip had been booked under my name and my credit card would not be charged. However I have been charged $1298.15 for a trip that I was never able to successfully book. I never rec'd any other message other than the flights you were interested in are not available….I did not receive a confirmation of a trip booked.
I booked my vacation package through another company as I was not successfully in completing my booking through Priceline. The trip is for the same dates, hotel and people - why would I have booked a second trip for the same people and dates?
I contacted customer service team on April 23, 2018 and spoke to George who indicated that he was sorry I was no longer satisfied with my reservation. I told him that was not the issue, my issue was that there was no reservation as no confirmation was ever sent to me. I spoke to supervisor (Max) after being given a run around who stated he would escalate my issue as a travel service/web-site error issue and provided me with a case #*** . He stated that I would be contacted within 3 business days. Today is May 1st and I have not been contacted by anyone from Priceline regarding my issue.
I have no clue how they are still in business
online package booking problems
May 1, 2018. I just wasted 45 minutes of my life trying to book a flight/hotel package online. When I got to the payment page the web site rejected my payment stating "Your CVV Code must be 4 digits." I entered the 4-digit code multiple times and got rejected each time for the same reason. My card is perfectly fine - I just used it last week to book online with another web site with NO problems. When I called Priceline to get assistance I got a call center in the Philippines that was of NO help. I spoke with two different agents and all I got was the canned response they read from a cheat sheet. "We can't take payment over the phone ..." blah blah blah. So how am I supposed to book my trip? "I'm sorry that we cannot assist you ..." more blah blah blah. I asked what the agent would do in my position. What would YOU do if you are using the Priceline site and it is not recognizing your VALID card? It is YOUR computer glitch, not MY problem! More apologies, more blah blah blah, barely understandable (and I am good with accents) and absolutely NO resolution. I am pissed. Waste of time and I still do not have my reservations. Screw Priceline. Never again.
hotel reservation
I booked an express deal with Priceline.com when the hotel was reviewed knowing it's condition I called to be transferred to another hotel that is not an express deal. I was basically told that there was nothing they could do. The last person told me they are putting me on mute even after explaining my situation and reason of not wanting to stay there. Now I have to basically stay in a scratchy hotel or lose my money which they said they couldn't do anything about. I know of friends and family who have had express deals cancelled due emergencies but mine even after complaining was disregarded.
airline
Ii bought 2 tickets from St. Louis to Phoenix for April 28, 2018 due to medical reasons my youngest son cannot fly. I was informed that I could not get a refund which is fine so I asked can I add a different passenger. I've paid my money for these tickets and I'm not sure why that would even be a issue. I was trying to add my nephew. Now if I'm having a hard time processing your policies because that makes no sense. Then I was told that I can pay 25.00 to get a refund, like really? So why not deduct the 25.00 from the 120.00 ticket I purchased? I'm wondering how many people have lost money dealing with your services. I'm sure plenty
hotel booked online [protected]
Booked hotel online which I thought I dealing with the Hampton Inn Brenham TX had a bad storm in Northeast had to cancel hotel 151.42 for one night. Confirmation shows all of hotel info including there phone#. When I called hotel they said they could cancel but the card on file was not mine so I won't see a credit on my card will have contact third party...This is fraud...Priceline gets credited plus takes the customer money after not receiving the product. I want my money back... The hotel reservation says 24 hour cancellation.
claim
I booked a room that was not used because I Didn't make it into town cancelled immediately and was still charge hung up on by customer service as of 20 mins ago...Alex 5260139 and or Bryan and until today was rather please with but never again I constantly used this service but the willingness to either just say hey unfortunately we cant do or we can help rather that blatant rudeness shows me any and everyone can work there and I GUESS I SHOULD USE SOCIAL media to spread the word
regular priced hotel.
We ordered hotel for 4 nights from April 28. Trip number is [protected]. Hotel room costs more than 1000$ and we ordered it from a retale prise page (not even express deal). I got a discount 10% 2 days later which I want to use. So I decided to cancel hotel as we ordered not Express deal. Than I was going to order hotel again and use my 10%off coupon. However I found that we still can't cancel it. That is very unfair because I could order without Priceline and have a normal cancellation policy. I can totally understand your policy if I buy express deal or name your own price. Please help me to use my coupon discount or help me to cancel my retail price hotel so I can reorder it and get my 10% off. This is very disappointing and no sense in future to order from retail page. Hope you can make it. Thank you
express hotel
I booked an express deal hotel with Priceline. It was advertised as being a 3 star hotel similar to Courtyard of Hyatt. The website says that I should expect solid service, extra amenities, and well decorated common areas. Yet, when I book the hotel and go to the companies website the reviews tell a different story. Their are complaints about broken toilets, leaky roofs, poor housekeeping, even theft. I don't feel comfortable staying at the hotel and feel that I was deceived.
best price guarantee
I booked a hotel today on priceline.com at 1:12pm EST. My priceline itinerary for Baltimore, MD - Friday, May 25, 2018 (Itinerary# [protected]). I went on priceline.com this evening at 9:40 PM to show my fiance the hotel that I had booked and priceline was showing the same exact room for $139.02 per night instead of the $144.10 that I had paid. I contacted customer service via a live chat and then I called customer service. I was told by both separate representatives that they could not verify the price discrepancy. I offered screenshots as proof. I don't understand how the discrepancy is possible. I searched from two different devices and my search yielded the lower price, yet your representatives could not find the lower price that I was seeing. I am very upset and disappointed and I don't see myself using priceline again.
car rental
I rented a car near Lake Tahoe. Got to the rental place and my reservation was slated for the next day. I cancelled my request. A couple weeks later, I was billed for the cancelled car. I wrote to AMX to have the charge deleted.
AMX deleted the charge. Priceline fought back and AMX re-charged me. Priceline is an unethical, lying enterprise... Very similar to the current state of affairs in D.C. Do not use Priceline... for ANY reason.
hotel
I booked a room at a hotel in England. There were many options and I booked the "Family room" instead of the Double room because I have children. After I booked, I received an email from Priceline that it is only valid for two adults and the hotel may charge me for more people upon arrival! I contacted Priceline via the live chat and was told there was nothing they can do and when I said I was going to file a complaint. They said suit yourself and hung up on me!
hotel reservation - price match
I booked 2 rooms using priceline express deals for the dates 8th Apr 2018 till 10th Apr 2018 on April, 2 2018 around 8p.m. EST. but once the resort name was revealed I realized that the rooms offered are much cheaper on the other website. I contacted priceline chat agent and shared the details as well as I called customer care number and shared my details.
They refused to do price match as they are not able to find it but I was able to find the same deal on the same site.
After spending 2 hours in follow ups over chat and call, priceline agent did not believe my prices but, "in other way round I have to believe them when they say that they are not able to find the same price" which i my mind either proved me a liar or the process of finding price on their end is unethical .
Either priceline should remove the price match policy or they should honor when a customer is sending details about price match.
Please find attached the prices that I found which priceline agents were not able to find it.
travelweb
I unknowingly booked a hotel room at the Radisson in Fargo, ND. through Travelweb. Reservation # Q05XDM9. I was charged immediately for the room ($649.15) and a booking fee ($7.99) and was not given a credit even though I cancelled this room on March 12, 2018, far before the cancellation date of April 23, 2018, by 4:00 p.m. Cancellation # C5247979.
I've called the following numbers: [protected], [protected] - they just instantly play music. I called another number I found on the Internet which only rings and never answered. Likewise an email to the Internet address was bounced back undeliverable.
The way you deceived me into booking through was criminal to say the least. I want a full refund of the money I spent on this room immediately.
hotel reservations
I booked a hotel through Priceline's website on 3/16/18. Unfortunately I needed to cancel this due to a death in my immediate family on 3/18/18, well before their stated timeline for cancelations. I have tried repeatedly for three days to cancel. I spoke to the hotel manager, Michelle, at The Shiloh Inn in Mammoth Lakes, CA who did inform me she spoke to Priceline and was told it was their discretion to cancel and reverse the charges. Priceline lied to me and told me it was the manager of the hotel who refused. I have spoken to a supposed supervisor at Priceline, Oreo, who in turn transferred me to her supervisor, Riley (refused last name). This person stated she was told the manager of the hotel requested a birth certificate for my deceased sister (she was 60!) before they would cancel the reservation. I have never encountered a more insensitive, unfeeling, crass group of employees in my life! The manager of the hotel was kind but told me it was at PRICELINE'S discretion to cancel and needed to hear it from them. Do not ever use any priceline contracted vender, establishment, car rental, travel facilities. They are horrible people to deal with. Please please please, spread the word about them! I want my credit card refunded the charges and an apology from the rude personnel.

counter clerk was insistent that I purchase additional insurance even though I repeatedly refused. Then she told me it was an additional $15 per day to include my wife as a driver. Additionally, when I told her I wanted the return full gas option she wanted to debate whether I purchase 1/4 1/2 or full tank. I told her to cancel reservation and took an Uber from airport to Enterprise rental.
hotel booking misrepresentation
I booked a hotel room using Priceline's booking feature where you agree to pay a certain amount in the general area of where you are wanting to stay. The twist is they don't tell you which hotel you are going to get until you book the reservation, only that it would be at least 4.5 star. As it turns out the hotel was only a 3.7 star. Big difference in quality for sure and obviously a misrepresentation of the hotel offered. The facts are as follows:
- Agreed to pay $204/night plus taxes for 4.5 star hotel in Miami Beach (South Beach area) for 3 nights
- Book the room and then found out it was the Royal Palm
- Upon arrival at Royal Beach Hotel was told buy the Hotel Staff that the hotel was only 3.7 star
name your own price tool
Hello. I just booked a car rental through the Priceline site for the first time. reservation [protected]. Prior to booking, I searched - and found - instructions on the Priceline site about how to 'Name My Own Price' - I have since taken screen shots of the pages on the site, as proof it was live when I was looking.
As it was my first time booking, I couldn't figure out how to use that tool, so thought I had to select a car that had the red '40%' notice on it - book it, then the 'Name My Price' button would pop up.
It did not - so I contacted 'Gwen' on the live chat.
Gwen told me this tool no longer existed - and when I asked to cancel my booking as it was falsely advertised on the Priceline site - she told me 'policy' and how the reservation was not able to be canceled - and how I 'agreed to the terms' -
I pointed out again - that I followed the instructions ON THE PRICELINE site - and how I (and I'm assuming others' are under the impression this is an active tool... but Gwen simply thanked me for bringing it to her attention - that it was still noted on the website - and said they were 'actively looking' to remove this.
I took a snap shot of her also admitting the verbiage is still live on the website - therefore, agreeing that I did see the instructions on the Priceline site.
I am quite irritated - and am looking to cancel my reservation based on false advertising on the Priceline site.
I would like to have someone call me - to ensure this is being cancelled - or I will be taking my complaints online everywhere I can possibly post - and include my screen shots of the pages from the website as well as Gwen's comments acknowledging the verbiage is still out there.

hotel booking
I purchased a reservation for a hotel room through Priceline.com to attend a Senate Hearing at my local state capitol building. 2 days prior to my planned stay, the Hearing was cancelled. I tried to cancel my hotel reservation, first through my hotel (who said there was nothing they could do for me) and then through Priceline. They informed me that there was no cancellation policy available for my booking. How is that even possible? There should NEVER be a "No Cancellation Policy" as long as you are cancelling your booking before 24 hours prior to your stay. I am a teacher. I can't afford to pay for a $100 booking for a hotel room that I will not be staying at. This is absurd. Wonder how Priceline makes their money? By gouging customers with abhorrent customer service policies. Ridiculous.
If you had bothered to read the website terms before buying, you would have seen their no cancellation policy. But no, you were in too much of a hurry to be a cheapskate and try to save a few bucks.
false "best price guaranteed" advertising
On March 5, 2018 I book an Express Deal hotel room on the Priceline app for 3 nights at $91/night on the site which is available to the general public.
On March 7, 2018 I book the exact same room type, check-in/check-out dates, using the same form of payment, currency, and from the same point of sale as specified in the much touted "Best Price Guaranteed" rules but this time for $68/night.
I do not expect a refund. I wish to keep both reservations but feel its only fare that the price match be honored. Nowhere is a "price fluctuation exclusion" or "Express Deal excluded", or "Priceline.com excluded" or "Hotel name visibility exclusion" mentioned in the rules as falsely claimed by the two customer service representatives I spoke with on the same day of my latter purchase March 7, 2018 @ 10:10pm. This was inspite of him independently verifying the price of both my purchases on their website.
It makes me wonder whether the Priceline mantra is: "The only price we will not match is ours; at Priceline we find more innovative ways to gyp you than our competition"
