Pizza Hutnew flashy menu & website, same old lame service

Well Pizza Huts shiny new website with all these new and improved items supposedly aimed at helping them get some business is a FAIL. On Saturday 12/27/14 in Copperas Cove, Texas we decided to try some of the new stuff on their menu and have it delivered. It was about 20 minutes past our local stores' opening hour of 11am for lunch and the website kept saying the store was closed. This went on for about 50 minutes while we tried different browsers and things, figuring it might be a setting somewhere blocking something. Nope. The entire process was so aggravating, especially trying to make changes empties your cart out completely, making you start all over every time - unlike the old website which was much more user friendly. Finally we just called Papa John's.
Complained to Pizza Hut online and got generic empty thanks in response, which dear Pizza Hut, is kind of a slap in the face once again to customers who 1) went to your website 2) attempted to order 3) Took the time out to contact you about the issue. NEWSFLASH...improving your sales can go a long way starting with customer service. Instead you add some new stuff to the menu and throw together a flashy new sub-functional website and miss the entire point of why people who are giving you a second look with our hard earned money these days are passing on your previous crappy product and continued lacking service. This time, I WONT be back. Oh and just a little friendly heads up - you need a a website that actually works to sell product. Wouldn't you think? Wouldn't you care? Yea I didn't think so. RIP Pizza Hut. In the 80's and part of the 90's you were great.
