The Pep Boys Service

I been receiving work on my 1996 Ford f350 at the Lancaster CA location. They have been working for about a month on my truck and Everytime they release it I have the same issues and have to return it also parts that were paid for in full were not received, causing my truck to catch on fire. This has been very inconvenient and costly on my family being that were constantly getting rentals Everytime we drop the truck back off.I been receiving work on my 1996 Ford f350 at the Lancaster CA location. The Pep Boys workmanship/customer service

On April 28, 2018 my vehicle was inspected and it was shared with me that my slave cylinder and clutch need replacing.
May 4, 2018 I left my vehicle with pepboys to do the work. When I picked up my vehicle I was told, " it's a new clutch, it's going to be tough getting into the gears, go easy and give it some time"
Approximately a month later, things got worse, I returned the vehicle to the same pepboys (chino, ca) where Don, the manager was very contrary and disobliging; explaining that my dates of repair were wrong and that regardless of what the estimate done on April 21, 2018, it did not matter and it was not pepboys problem.
He said, the clutch goes into gear just fine as he grinder into 1st and then reverse to take to the stall to take a look at the work.
When I got my truck back, it was not operable; it doesn't go into gear without a fierce fight and it sounds like the clutch is going to fall out of the vehicle. This is by far the worst repair job ever.

The Pep Boys my car has been at pep boys since may 25th for a new motor.

I took my car in for a oil change on may 25th, found out I needed a motor, I called my warnety people Silver Rock they came out to see the car and approved the motor on the 31st the manager Don said the motor had come in on the on the 5th of June my car is still sitting in the parking lot in the same spot were I parked it at, I have been very patient but now it has been to long a wait, can I take my car to another pep boy's to be fixed. the manager at pep boys name Victor is an unprofessional, ignorant person and shouldn't be in any leadership role dealing with the public. He should be retrained on how to deal professional with the public. I will never go back there for servicing on my car again they ripped us off and I don't know if the service they so called did was warranted.

I entered my appointment online and received a confirmation. When I arrived at the location on Warwick Blvd, I was informed that the online appointment system does not send the information to the service department and that I would need to call them if I wanted to make an appointment. A year ago, I made an appointment online and it was in their system. I'm not sure what the problem is but I have been a long time customer at this location. My service has gone down in the past year. Since then, it appears that the service staff at the counter has completely changed.

The Pep Boys poor workmanship & they have not replaced my center caps they destroyed 2 months ago!

Purchased 3 tires from Pepboys on 04/14/2018. Came in to buy 2 tires, but a third tire that I purchased from them 2 months prior needed to be replaced. Got the 3 tires replaced and they tried to get me to pay for the third tire that I had just purchased 2 months prior until I advised them that I had purchased a warranty on that tire. They would not have checked for that or prorated the purchase of a new tire if I had not said anything. So after i paid for the tires, I start to leave the Pepboys parking lot enter the street. As I come to a stop at the edge of the parking lot before going into the street as there is traffic, I heard this clunking around my car. Next thing I notice is two of my centerpieces of my rims flying into the middle street where they were ran over by oncoming traffic. I backed my vehicle up and when inside. I informed the manager on duty at the time, he came out and looked at my car, apologized to me and told me his staff was having trouble putting my centerpieces on, but allowed me to drive my car with them not securely on my vehicle. Manager tells me he is going to order a new set of centerpieces and would call when they came. This was 04/04/2018. It is now 06/08/2018 and I have not received a call from Pepboys regarding my centerpieces. I have been over there on 4 different occassions and been told that they don't control the dealerships inventory. Which I find funny, because I have been to the local Plano Hyundai dealership and they have the centerpieces in stock and they are available online. I placed a complaint with Pepboys under case #568466 on 04/21/2018 and was told the Plano, Texas District Manager George was supposed to call me on 04/23/2018. It is now 06/08/2018 and I haven't heard from George. Now I am left to get the Attorney General involved, the Better Business Bureau involved and Small Claims Court involved. Very poor service. No professionalism and no follow up.

The Pep Boys lied about service they provide/bad customer service

The pep boys Murray Utah location is the absolute worst. I arrived at their store at 7:10 and their door was locked and said closed even though their store hours read they closed at 8:00 pm. I walked to where the garage doors were open to find two employees that looked irritated to see me and hesitated to ask me what I needed. My trailers tire needed to be patched and without even looking at the tire told me they didn't patch tires. I've never been experienced such bad customer service in all my life

The Pep Boys tires, cv axle boot, intake hose

On April 17 I stopped at Pepboys in Gallup, NM to have air but in a tire. I was told there was a nail in the back right tire but due to the low tread they could not fix the tire. Then I was told I needed to replace the tires, all 4 since my 2008 Buick Enclave was a all wheel drive car because if I didn't have the same tread on all tires it would messed up the transmission. I was prepared to replace 2 of the tires but since I was given this information I knew I couldn't afford to have my transmission go out. I waited 4 days before going back and ordered 4 tires. On April 21st I went back and paid for the tires to be ordered. On April 25th I went back and the tires were placed on the car, then I was told I have a torn CV axle boot which would cost over $420.00 to repair. I was upset that now I would have to spend addtional money to replace another part on my car and told the sales rep I would have to call my son in AR to discuss this before ordering any additional parts.

In March I had the front end suspension replaced a Jiffy Lube in AR and ask the Sales Rep & mechanic (Pepboys) if this would have been seen the at that time. Their answer was yes. The next day when I got off work I went to Jiffy Lube with my warranty. They placed my car on the rack to check the front end. I explained I had just had tires replaced. The mechanic took me out to show me that my car was not an All wheel drive it was a front end drive and there wasn't a torn CV axle. I also had the oil changed and later found out that all that was done was the oil was changed, no fluids levels checked.

The next day I called to speak with the Manager at Pepboys but he wasn't working. On Sat 4/28 I went into the store and discussed the lie I was told and the miss information I had been given for his Rep Michael Nez. He apolized and he said he had pulled the tires and said I did need the 4 tires. This wasn't the point I was Lied To in order for there to be a sale made. My car was placed on the rack and checked, he agreed and told me it was a front wheel drive and there was No torn CV axle boot. Alex (the Manager) said he did find a heater core hose line that was leaking and offered to replace it for free but he would have to order the part and would call me when it arrived.

He did call and leave me a message the next week May 4th that he still had not gotten the part but would let me know when he did. The next week I called but he wasn't at work but the person there said the part had arrived and I could schedule an appointment when I wanted to come in. I scheduled it for May 14 and took my car back in to have this replaced. Again he wasn't at work when I went in after I got off work and the hose was replaced but they broke 2 other parts when fixing the hose. I am not sure what those parts were. When I ask if my car needed coolant added, I was told no only to find out yesterday it was indeed low.

On Sat May 26 I got out and drove down the street and my car lost power. I had to get somewhere to have this checked and stopped at the Jiffy Lube, the intake hose was not connected, which is above the hose Pepboys replaced and they had tied it with a zip tie to the brake fluid reservoir.

I am an RN on a travel assignment for 13 wks to help the Navajo Indian Reservation and I live over a 1000 miles from my home in AR. I thought that I was going to a Trustworthy Nation Wide Company that I could trust and use in my owe state or any other but after the service I have received and lies I was told here in gallup nm I do not trust nor I will ever go back to any pepboys to have service done.

I would like a Refund on the Road Hazard Warranty $107.36 + tax and if my engine has been damaged from the intake hose not being properly placed I will be seeking an attorney for the damages incurred. NM is know for its high winds & dirt which could have already caused damage to the motor.

I will also be informing All woman & the people of Gallup of the unethically behavior & poor quality service of this Company.

Very Disappointed in Pepboys!

The Pep Boys today I saw they sell paint to a man who obviously uses it to get high

Store manager on duty name is Jerry
He refused to give me his last name when he became aware I noticed him selling white paint to a man who was using it to get high in the parking lot

Even worst he knew the mans name and addressed each other like this was a very common occurrence

To my belief it is completely illegal to sell paint to people who are going to use it to get high
This should not be tolerated and hopefully a district manager can address this matter seriously

Next time I see this man in the store buying paint to get high with store manager aware I'm reporting it to channel 12 news and los Angeles times news paper

The Pep Boys oil change

On 1/27/18 I had a scheduled oil and a front headlight change at your location on 1739-41 E Joppa Rd Baltimore, MD 21234. My car is a 2004 Black Lincoln Town Car ultimate in excellent condition. About 2 weeks after my oil change, I noticed my oil light flickering and my car would over heat. This was scary, because I didn't know what was going on, so I popped my hood. I notice fresh oil all around my engine and other parts. I had my car towed to the dealer and my engine was totaled due to losing 4 quarts of oil and severe internal damage. I called the service dept. and spoke to Sunny, once my dealer advised me that a filter/cap was left loose during my most recent oil change. I freaked out. I'm now out of a car that I have to pay monthly payments and insurance that I can't drive. All due to a faulty oil change. How am I going to get my kids to school and work now? Sunny advised me to contact customer service and file a claim. I did and when Brenda Bay left a message 3-5 days later and denied my claim, I cried. My heart was breaking. No one wants to take any accountability to my oil change nightmare. How can you deny a claim with no claim# after I sent the results from the repair shop and pictures of the fresh oil in front of my door? Ms. Bay was a highly unprofessional customer service rep, rude and wasn't trying to understand my issue nor cared. She pointed fingers; lied on husband, never returned any of my calls after the 1st one and she didn't give me any options. How can a supposed to be good company do their customers so wrong? Easy, just like they did me with no problem. I paid $3500 for a replacement engine, $1500+ in car rentals which includes lyft. I filed a case at my district court and it was denied after paying for certified papers to be sent to your corporate office. I submitted my issue on the BBB website. I contacted your office and someone was to get back with me in 5-7 business days and as of today, no one has contacted me. I need all my money back for a problem your company caused. I trusted you with my car and paid deeply and you lost a good customer. This has been going on too long; please would someone contact me asap to compensate me. That's all I want.

I copied the name and part# and sku # from the website of pepboys. I pasted it in a chat with rachel. Then she kept asking me if this was the right item while I told her that I copied all the information from their website. So what else did she want to know.
If the information I gave her from the website is wrong then the website it wrong. I felt like I got the treatment from a young girl like I am the idiot. This rachel person needs to go back to school before she takes a job at customer service. What a joke. I will go some where else to buy my thing and not at pepboys.

The Pep Boys car service

On March 12, 2018, my Volvo S60's Check Engine light went on followed by hiccupping on the highway. PepBoy changed the fuel pump for about $1600. After the repair, fuel leaked twice. The Check Engine light was back on the third day after I took back after fuel leaking. The car quit running when stopped at traffic. Now the car is in un-drivable situation, Pepboy told me that they have fixed my original problem. Volvo told me this is a interface issue related to fuel pump change. But Pepboy refused to be responsible. We have been there almost every week.

I called the company, the regional customer relation director responded the first time but not any more after they cannot fix my problem.

The Pep Boys cooper's landscaping

Mark Alan Cooper owner of Coopers Landscaping has been making his employees get extra work order forms signed by Pep Boys to get paid for work that was never done . But still he has been getting paid for it . Because of rain days or because Mark had yes do something more important then your property we would skip it and in the long he wasn't worried about it because he would get those extra papers signed two to three at a time week after week . I quite doing his dirty work for him and result it helped me get fired . Please make sure that this information gets to the right people . What he is doing is not right thank you for your time.

The Pep Boys pep boys employee pulls gun on customer for complaining about car not fixed right

I witnessed a employee pull a gun on a customer at the pep boys on Abercorn street in Savannah, ga. I had no idea this was so ghetto. The person only talked to the manager about fixing the car and the manager was going to fix it but the employee of the manager started talking mess to the customer. I could have called the cops. I recorded the entire thing. Should i notify the cops, i knew neither party. I hope the person who this happens to reads this. I will testify in open court of the employee going to his car to grab a weapon.

The Pep Boys shocks and struts/ extremely bad customer service

I used the online chat to order shocks for my Jeep that is lifted. I specifically told the representative that my car was lifted, her name was Kelly and she stated that she had Monroe shocks that fit my vehicle. I went to the local pep boys and purchased the product then I had them installed. The shocks did not work at all. I called Monroe the manufacturer and they stated that they do not make shocks for lifted jeeps and it specifically says that on their products. I contacted pep boys to see if they could send me new shocks that fit and or free service since it was their mistake. The agent stated that she would submit my complaint 04/17/2018 and I would receive a call the next day. I never got a return call so I called back 04/19/2018 and the agent stated that the complaint was never sent and she would resend it and have her supervisor call me the same day. I never received a return call. I called 04/23/2018 and spoke with Ebony who states that she could assist me because it was totally unacceptable what is going on. I explained to her my car isn't working i paid for parts and service and I missed a couple days of work as well being that this is my only form of transportation. Her supervisor told me that he could offer me a 20.00 gift card and to send the parts back. I was flabbergasted. I then asked to speak with his supervisor and he refused then I asked for his name and he refused, I asked for corporate number and he hung up on me. I don't have money to waste or extra cash to get the faulty shocks off my car. I have had an extremely bad experience with this company and its customer service.

The Pep Boys oil change

I got my oil changed on Monday 04/16/2018 and did not drive my car until Saturday 4/21/2018 when my car started to make a flapping sound which I assumed was a belt needing to be replaced. When I stoped the vehicle I found out I had no oil in my car. I immediately got some oil from a gas station and and then checked the level. After everything checked out I started to drive back home when the sound started again and then my check engine light came on and the the car said to stop engine low oil pressure. I not sure yet but the only reason this could of happened is Pep Boys.

The Pep Boys the employees

I am a employee at pepboys and myself and others feel that we aren't good enough to work there cause the manager jennifer dickerson has her favorites and they can say and do what they want and there are a couple of us that can't do anything right but she praises the others weather they are right or wrong and I feel belittled working here as though I like working for pepboys this needs to be resolved

The Pep Boys oil and filter change hyundai coupe 2013

on 9/30/2017 Pep Boys performed an oil change in my car. After driving the car for 10 miles the engine started to make a loud ticking noise. According to the dealer service department the engine was damaged due to the installation of a wrong filter. The local store refused to pay for the repair. The car is still broken and waiting for repair. I filled a formal complaint with the Better Business.

The Pep Boys tire repair

I went to pep boys in Hillsborough by enterprise for a flat repair on my wife's car at 7:10, the service advisor told me he could not do the repair because he was being a mechanic to get the cars out, a service writer, and unloading 400 tires all at the same time. This is not the first time I come in and they refuse to do a flat repair but will gladly install 4 new tires if asked. I always go to pep boys to get service on my cars yet am always disappointed when I have to go in for simple repairs. It seems like they will only take my car in when I have to spend hundreds of dollars. I am done giving them chances

The Pep Boys service manager

me as well as a couple other techs feel like our manager isnt a good manager. he harps on us about following the rules, but then he never follows the rules himself. he complains to us about stupid stuff that doesnt matter, he treats one tech better than all the other techs, he treats all of the techs differently and tries to zero in on one of us and make our job a living hell. he makes it stressful to come in to work because i know that the service manager is going to be complaining about little stuff. then also, not only does he harp on us about the rules, but he doesnt follow the rules and then he harps on not only the techs, but the assistant service manager and our csa. so why is it ok for him to not follow the rules but when someone else doesnt follow the rules he harps and complains about it. such a 2 faced manager.

The Pep Boys tire service

On February 21, 2018, at the Pep Boys store (0906) located in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, 4 new tires were installed on my vehicle, a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. When I got home, I noticed that the wheels were scraped. I went back to the store to complain to the assistant manager and what they told me when they saw it was that they were like that and they were not going to accept the claim. All I want is for them to be responsible and return the wheels for me in the conditions that were before them to mount the tires. It is unfortunate since for many years I have been a client of Pep Boys.
