I didn't beleive that msg. but i wanted to know what behind it so i called that num but there was an error in connections so i called that num. which sand me the msg. (+[protected]) & some guy answered me he was speaking a weird english accent .. i asked him about the msg. & if it's For real he tolD me : sure Sir & gongratulations!, then he gave me the Email with the num. asking me to send him my info.
I was dubting that he telling the truth so I desided to search about this NOKIA PROMO thing .. and here I am ..

My mom received one of these msgs telling her that she won EUR 150, 000 for the ongoing Spain/UK mobile promo. They asked us to send an email and they told us to select a courier service provider. The fees were huge!

Think it is a scam.

I am surprised after reading the complaints that the offenders are still trying their luck. I too have received a text, however the text lacked creditability for the following reasons:-
1) Grammar;
2) the email address, yahoo address for Nokia?
3) country code of the text is in Nigeria...mmm; and
4) I have not entered any competitions;

Out of curiosity (and ensuring my identity is protected), I responded to the email: the response as follows:-

To make the email look like it comes from a creditable source they use a link to the Nokia website as well as using Nokia logo’s (this is in itself easy to copy and paste). Don’t be fooled and don’t for a minute think that this is a valid competition. The least Nokia can do is post a comment on their official websites acknowledging that their good name is been used for fraudulent purposes and to warn existing and future customers.

I received a sms from Nokia Promo saying that I won 170, 000.00 pounds but I m sure its a scam, they ask me to pay the delivery of the money . I personally dont understand how come Nokia allowed to these people to play with the company name .

I got the same message today on 28th march 2008.
i dont know what to do with it.

i called on the number and they even answered my call. they told me to give them numbers so that they could start verifying my details.

how could they do that if its fraud.
