Hitachi / Poor product durability!

I live in Chennai Annanagar and I bought Hitachi AC just 2 years back, as my friends recommended it. Just after 2 months we noticed that there was a gas leak and the remote also stopped working. I could not believe such an expensive product can start giving problems in just 2 months.

I contacted the service center. They asked me take AMC, but I thought a good product should not require AMC. The service person came to house and tried to correct the problem but he could not complete it. He brought few more technical persons and they decided to take the AC back to their office for repair. It looks like the Chennai Hitachi technicians do not have enough skill/knowledge to solve such problems. For every visit they change around 250 rupees, though the product failed just in 2 months. The replacement remote was working functionally but it had a damaged LCD panel.

It was really shock to me to see such poor service for an expensive product.

Now my AC fails almost every 3 months, the service person comes to my house for repair and collects fees for his visit. I don't understand whether they really solve the problem completely or introduce new problems in my AC every time they repair.

They take close to 4 to 5 days to repair (I wonder why they should take such a long time. If they really believe that their product is good, they can replace the faulty component by a new one quickly).

I don't know why Hitachi is not taking any steps to improve their service network. Now, I plan to sell off and buy a better AC from other brands (definitely not from Hitachi).
