For the second time in 3 years I've left something in my Hertz Rental Car at dropoff. I've called Hertz and every time have found it extremely difficult to reach the outlet to tell them what I've left in the car. Nevertheless, once I've reached the proper people, they claim that "nothing was found" in the rental car. On both occasions I knew that I left the item in the car, but I've received the same baloney that they "searched and found nothing". "Our people are honest and turn in whatever they find in a car". The company has a useless lost and found, and a nearly non-existent customer relations.
They should have an incentive program for their employees to turn in items they find, not steal them. The run around for lost and found is unacceptable. Enough with Hertz, I'll rent from others.

My rental got towed 0n 11/9/2022 and followed protocol on how to claim items you left in the vehicle. I have been following almost every other day to no avail. Today, upon checking on my lost items, my case was deleted and not a word from them. I know my properties are not lost because they were the ones that towed the vehicle. This establishment operates on greed and profits lacking moral values. They do not give you any slack on anything which makes them a hypocrite! Their support system are one or thee worse ones i have ever encountered. The branch I got the vehicle from never pickups their phone intentionally. I witnessed it!. They never sent me a copy of my contract either. I requested a few times to no avail. Don't fall for the fix rate on their ads. My weekly rate was suppose to be like $450 and that they would only a debit charge to your account once a week! What a joke! They were debiting my account almost every other day for different amounts!. It is a good thing I have my account on fraud alert, so my bank does not pay right away. They call me first to see if I authorized it! They attempted to charge my card for as much as $2800. Attached is my proof! The one before that was $1584! All random amounts with no explanation. I am convinced they intentionally not send you a copy of your contract which allows them to charge your account for any amount they feel is justifiable. In other words, get payment now and explain later kind of tack tick. They obviously have no intentions of returning your properties either. THIS IS A GREEDY OUTFIT! GOD ELSEWHERE! AVOID UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT WITH THESE PEOPLE!

Worst experience ever. Since the day I returned my Hertz rental I am trying to contact BCN Barcelona airport to ask about forgotten iPad. The reason why I forgot the iPad in the first place is that I was rushed. I went to Terminal 2 to return the car after 4 days of trying to reach the Hertz office by phone with no success. When I got to terminal Hertz office in front of the terminal 2 was closed with note sorry for the inconvenience. I went inside the terminal and that office was closed too. All the other rental car companies were open. I had no other option but to go to terminal 1. I lost time trying to exit terminal 2 and get to terminal 1. When I finally reached Hertz I was in rush not to miss the flight. I forgot my iPad in the trunk (with light green cover). When I came back for days I was trying to reach Hertz at BCN with no success. I went online and submitted missing report. I received auto reply that my email was received but no follow up after that. I contacted US based team and they were useless. I called international team at [protected] and rep was useless too. She was incapable of any help and disconnected the line when she tried to connect me with office in Barcelona. Am I going to get any help from Hertz? My name is Suzana Znaor Janjic, my rental record number is [protected]. The rented car was Peugeot 2008 with license plate 8100 LNN, my email: suzanajanjic@msn.com and larajanjic@live.com, my phone number in USA [protected].

contacted Hertz less than 30 minutes after I turned the car in, I left my toll transponder attached to the windshield.
I told them the car, make, model, color, plate number . All they needed to do was walk over to this car and retrieve this toll transponder for me, their customer. Three days later they still haven't found it. I was in line at TSA inside PHL airport when I contacted them, I didn't have enough time to go back to their building and get it. I really did expect someone to complete this minor task right after I called, it would have been so easy to do. Hertz just didn't care.
I'm disappointed in their customer focus and lack of follow through on this simple request.

They called me and told me they have my keys (house and car) at the Hertz St. Louis Airport office -- but the number they gave me routes to the same corporate voice directory that's so impossible in the first place. their customer service line gets you to an endless string of advertising. I filled out the online lost and found form - and it says my items have not been found, so no use there.

I can't seem to get to the actual office - and talk to a human being. Nightmare.

I left a brand new ceiling fan in the trunk. We were in a hurry to load a truck to move and return the vehicle and totally forgot about the fan until later. When I finally reached someone in lost and found they had already rented the "crappy" car again and said nothing was found. I know it was there and someone stole it. We will definitely not rent from Hertz ever again. Enterprise seems to be best for overall good cars and service. Best thing is to always check and make sure you leave absolutely nothing in the rental car that you want to see again.

They stole a Park Canada pass that was hung on one of the mirror. Said they did not find it: obviously it was stolen.

I think it states right on the rental agreement that the agency is not responsible for things left behind. It's been awhile since I rented a car but I seem to remember that being there.
