[Resolved] Etihad Airwaysdept airport manchester uk in transit abu dhabi delayed flight

Dept man Dec 18 EY16 0810 arrived Abu Dhabi 1930. Ey862 supposed to take off at 2210 actual take off 2300 due to a technical issue. Flew 3 hrs and had to return back to Abu Dhabi due to a technical fault. We were the last couple off the bus went through security with no idea where we should be going ended up going through security twice ! Went to premium lounge and asked them what we should do as we did not know when the next flight was going to be. Went to Etihad desk was told flight was now 10 am 19th!! Changed boarding cards and just hung about for nearly 12 hrs!. We should have arrived at Pudong Shanghai at 1010 19th but in fact we were just getting on the plane then. We eventually arrived Pudong Shanghai at 2300 12 hours later. Which means we have missed a full day off our holiday!. The fact we got no assistance baffles me and truly disappointed.
