I was sold an illegal copy of the windows7 operating system.Had no where to go after it was deactivated by microsoft.Luckily I found this place to keep others from being scammed

Scam Alert - PayPal Scam Alert - eCrater Scam Alert
I shopped for a product through google shopping. The lowest price was by a seller named M & T Sales ( or M&T Sales) on eCrater. I bought and paid with PayPal. The product was never shipped, so I commenced a PayPal complaint. The seller contacted me to tell me he was ready to ship, but company policy would not allow him to do so until I took away the PayPal Dispute. I took it away, he never shipped, I complained to PayPal and PayPal simply did not do a thing to help. PayPal's position is that once you close a dispute your options are over, period. PayPal offered no explanation for the logic of such a policy, despite the fact that I asked three times for the issue to be escalated to a supervisor.
Obviously, this seller (uses email [protected]@yahoo.com ) is aware of this PayPal policy and has set out to make an easy buck.
Oh, yeah... eCrater never answered emails at all. They are even more worthless.
DO NOT BUY FROM M & T Sales! Keep alert for seller with email [protected]@yahoo.com.

Whether ecrater, ebay, bananza or whatever, if you suspect something is not right, then get the seller in a choke hold and don't let up.

Buyer beware! Please note that eCRATER.com is a site that gives sellers a place to sell their items...Kind of like eBay. The big difference is simple, eBay has a much better set up and makes it harder for sellers to run scams on their buyers. eCRATER will let ANYONE sell anything and will not be responsible for the dishonesty or scams ran buy its sellers. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SELLER lmarirson57 with eCRATER.com. You will never receive your item. This site is not in the USA and is a scam out of China.

He scammed me out of $80.00 for a laser (drop shipped from china).
He is located in Washington and he said the item was "in his warehouse".
Laser pointer was said to be 200mw but was more like 30mw.
said that I had to pay to ship it back to china AND pay to have it re-shipped to me AND pay a 20% restock fee.
Shipping was only $7.12 but he charged $25.00. Laser was only $13.12 but he charged $55.99.
He refuses to accept returns to him (even though I bought it from him).
The china company that he works with (also on scams.com) is called "chinavasion" known for shipping fraudulent items or keeping your money and saying that item was lost in transport.
eCrater said they are not responsible AND they allow anyone to sell on their website "WITHOUT CHECKING FOR FRAUD"

Company never delivered camera, never responded once purchased. Paypal was only able to retrieve 36.00 of purchase after they never responded to paypal. I left a complaint in there reviews and now its gone. What are you guys supporting the crooks now?
I took a $100 loss on that company and no responses. They must be a scam.

Awful experience
In the span of 5 days, I ordered two different Wii systems from two different sellers/stores from ecrater.com I never received any product and when I contacted ecrater to file a complaint, they told me that neither seller nor store was an ecrater seller/store. My experience with Florence's Enterprise through Overstock.com was terrible and i would urge others to avoid purchasing anything from Florence. I had ordered a new item, and what i received was clearly used and damaged to the point of being worthless. Twice i notified Florence's Enterprise of the problem and have yet to receive a response.
Although complaints have been filed with both Overstock.com and Google Checkout, there is still no response from Florence's Enterprise.
The item i purchased is a hand held sewing machine. The crippling damage to the item could not have been due to shipping since the broken power switch is recessed. The real problem is that this item was knowingly "used" and broken; as evidenced by the fact that it came fully assembled with mounted bobbins, thread and a half stitched practice rag caught in mid stitch; bound in a tangled mess into the needle mechanism of the machine.
The previous users practice cloth was ragged and dirty; the machine similarly blemished and scratched. The machine was inoperable due to a clearly damaged power switch. It looks like the switch broke in mid stitch, perhaps due to anger management problems when the jammed and tangled practice rag got caught up in the needle mechanism. Looks like the previous owner simply slapped it back in the box to be resold by Florence's Enterprise as a "NEW" item.
I definitely would not purchase anything from Florence's Enterprise in the future. And i would advise others to avoid any dealings with Florence's Enterprise, also doing business at http://neo-image.ecrater.com.

I placed an order on May 9th and it’s been almost a month and still haven’t received any shipping info. I reached out to the seller and I got a response saying that he would start shipping immediately. And after some time passed I sent another email to the seller just to check to see if there are any updates and have yet to receive a response.
they are aweful. after i paid for an item, with out contacting me or explain,they canceled my order.
they did not even answer my emails. Now, i should wait 3 to 5 business days to recieve my refund.
it is waste of time and money. Never trust this website.
I ordered a pair of shoes and never received anything! Ecrater is the worst ever. They Don't Know NOTHING about running an honest business. Ecrater stoled my money and I never got my shoes!
I'm on the other hand had a totally different experience with Florence. I purchased MAC cosmetic from Florence Enterprise and like the seller alot for authentic products, fast shipment, quick response, and great price. I disagree 100% with your comment.

Is EBAY a scam as well? or just an individual seller there? How about Amazon... etsy & all the others.I don't care WHERE you shop... you should check out sellers first. I have bought on ecrater & never had a problem.
I don't see how you people are all getting scammed so easily. Are you just blind or illiterate? Do none you of dare to take precautions before buying?! Scams are everywhere! Go with a secure payment source like the standard PayPal for eCrater. There is also a well known PayPal email address Verification Program. Do your research. It is simply a link to type in the e-mail of the seller to see if they have been Verified by PayPal. If the seller will not give up his e-mail address or is Unverified, I'd stay absolutely the hell away from that one. Ask for some credentials to make sure you are not at a liability if something happens. Be smart. Do your research! Don't just go on clicking randomly and saying "Ooh I want that and I want it now! Buybuybuy! I'm so rich and happy!" Well no, cuz this is exactly what will happen.
eCrater has nothing to do with it. Find a trusted seller wherever you go and get the best deal you can. Caveat Emptor, and remember if it is too good to be true it is and it's your own fault if you are too careless with your money wherever you buy. If on the other hand, saving money is not important for you, you generally get a good deal on Amazon.com, or why not just buy it from a retailer that marks it up 20% higher and in exchange gives you peace of mind. Me? I prefer to shop around intelligently, pay my money, take my chances and then get a coronary when someone sticks it to me...which hasn't happened for a while after pso much practice to be savvy, but could happen again any minute ... such is life and saving cash is important. Just ordered a product on eCrater/Google Checkout for $20 - the identical one was on eBay/PayPal for $26.50, both postpaid.

eBay-PayPal monopoly: $4.21
It is on sale on Amazon.com via a third party (the only possibility with Amazon) vendor for $22.00 ppd, with a temporary $5.25 discount. Since it is a third party, I figured I'd give the eCrater format a shot.
Will let you know how it goes. The eCrater is an "A" company (range A+ to F, I believe) with the BBB in its state, has over 8000 positive feedbacks on eCrater and has a 98.9% feedback rating. Will see if all this translates into a good experience for me.

Agreed. I just received a counterfeit Windows 7 64-bit disc from a seller (Lapland Multimedia) on eCrater. Luckily, I noticed it was phony before I installed it. Just avoid eCrater entirely and go with a trusted seller.
