Costco samsung smartphone (cell phone & services)

On Saturday, February 11, 2017, I went into Costco store to return a cell phone that I purchased from the cell phone department. I bought the cell phone as new at this Costco branch and was returning it because it was malfunctioning. I went to the cell phone department and they gave me a new phone and told me to go to check-out to finish the process. As I was going to the check-out counter, a female Costco employee proceeded to (1) stop me; and, (2) ask me did I come from the outside and did I get in the store without a member's card, wondering if I was in the process of stealing the phone. First, Costco has very strict security. A person cannot enter a Costco location unless he/she present his/her Costco card, which includes a photo I.D. The employee automatically assumed that I was stealing the phone because of my ethnicity (I am an African American male). Second, any products purchased in the store cannot make it past the check-out counter without having your receipt check by a person when you leave. So, she made false assumptions. If she still works there, I can identify her. As far as resolution, I was insulted and humiliated, so I am looking for fair damages (punitive).

Costco sample lady

I went into the Turlock, ca Costco on Thursday afternoon (1:30)with my 3 kids just to get waters& milk. My daughters love coming to Costco they get excited...especially for the samples. We walked by the pretzel samples and the lady was really nice, talkative and really selling the pretzels. Across the way was the Giradelli samples and I was there litterllay 3 feet away and my 4 year old daughter that followed my 11& 9 year olds. All while watching her. I figured since it was not a hot item she would be okay with keeping an eye on her since she was just 3 feet way. Well my daughter was excited that she got her own brownie and it fell as she tuned to walk back towards me. I walked towards her and picked up the brownie and threw it in the trash and as I did that the sample lady looked at me as if I did something Extremely bad telling me I should be with my kids at all times when getting samples. I was taken aback because I was not rude, I picked up the mess and I was there watching my daughter who feels she can do everything her older sister can do and then have someone make me feel so bad was uncalled for! What really made me upset was the way and tone she said it. I did tell her I was right here with my other kids and she didn't have to say it so rude! I also work in customer service and there are ways to say certain things and when it comes to peoples kids and a stranger saying something it really can bother.

Costco can be extremely crazy at times and it just seems odd because I ALWAYS see kids grabbing samples on there own also because it can get crowded and now this lady says something! Just ruined my Costco trip today! Customer service needs to on check! Especially when members pay $$ a year.

The people giving out samples at Costco, I believe, are called "demonstrators". Just to let you know, they are NOT employed by Costco, but by another firm. If you like, I can try ti get more information. Please let me know

Costco membership employee

The lady selling the membership told me if I bought the $100+ membership the next yr. I would receive a $70. CK to pay toward my new membership. I told her I didn't have time to read the fine lines, and she assured me she was telling the truth. Well, I received a check for $11. Cause I didn't read the info, and that's okay. I will never renew my membership. I already have a new membership with Sam's and I already like it so much better. Thanks

Costco optical dept.

Today, I was picking up a pair of $400 frames which Costco optical had put lenses in. I noticed they had made a tilt of about 20 degrees in the frame. When I complained, the attendant took some big plyers to them to fix it, but after a lot of bending the wires back and forth, she made it into a 30 or more degree tilt. I told her that she's made it worse and too much playing could break the delicate frame. She said "well you know the Costco policy if that if we break them, you'll have to pick one of our frames". In other words, she was threatening me to shut up and that take what they were giving me. I find this appalling and abusive behaviour from a Costco employee.

Costco found a foreign object in butterball ground turkey

On 5/1/17 I purchased a butterball ground turkey 4-pack at the Costco at 517 117th st Manhattan NY. The meat was frozen in my freezer chest. On 5/17/17 I thawed the a pack of ground turkey and while seasoning the meat for preparation I found a paperclip. I have never had any problems with
butterball or Costco. Please improve safety check measures . Attached are the pictures. Thank you.

Costco frankly fresh chicken breast burrito bowl

On 5/17/17, I removed the lid and protective plastic from my burrito bowl at my desk. I did not heat the contents up, I began to eat the contents cold at my desk. After several bites, I bit into something hard. I removed whatever it was from my mouth, thinking it was a black bean. After inspecting it, I realized it was a piece of plastic. I could have swallowed it. I was so disgusted, I did not eat the rest of the meal and went without lunch that day. Please be more careful when inspecting products for consumption. I request a refund of the Frankly Fresh Chicken Burrito Bowl package I purchased from your Merced, CA Costco location. My member number is: [protected].

Costco product packaging

I love shopping at Costco mainly because I find the quality superior to most. However, I am worried about what we do to our environment. I have started to avoid buying products with a lot of packaging, especially plastics. Some of our favorite things from Costco come in excess plastic packaging. I no longer buy apples from you and I won't be buying the barbacoa taco meat, Chinese chx salad kit or the sukki's chx masala even though they are favorites of my family and make easy delicious dinners. None of these things actually require the packaging they are sold in. I hope you will consider alternatives to buying products that are packaged irresponsibly. You effectively introduced organic to your customers now take on packaging!

Costco rib eye meat bought at costco in, winchester va

We have purchased whole rib eyes from you in the past and have never had a problem. We purchased one on Sunday and when we unpacked it the meat had a lot of fat, so much so that each steak that we cut has a half dollar size peace of pure fat toward the end. We are very disappointed with the quality. After paying over $120! We usually get about 10 - 22 steaks out of this cut of meat, we only got about 12 and they are very poor quality.

Costco person who checks receipts at the exit

So I went to the Costco warehouse on 1600 El Camino real in South San Francisco I walked in and I walked around for a few minutes and then I decided to go get something to eat at the food court so I got something to eat and then when I left I was walking out the woman who checked my receipt said oh the food court that's it and I said yes and then she was looking at me like I was some kind of criminal like I was lying to her and she was looking at my son's stroller up and down like if I had stolen something and then she comes around some of the other side of the stroller and says oh the backpack we need to check the backpack and you know that my son is 3 years old she was checking a three year old kids backpack to see if something was stolen I mean give me a break okay and she humiliated me and wasvery rude to me and if it happens again I'm going to make sure she gets fired so please have your employees not treat loyal customers this way

Costco clerk/cashier

A specific cashier named Charlie I have had multiple negative encounters with. Specifically treating my mom poorly when she wanted to pay with a check. Also, We both have the same membership yet he would let her pay because it was my card he scanned. Another incident was when my sister was handing him money for part of a purchase I was making. He made her hand me the money and then I paid for it. Every time I see him he seems grumpy, arrogant, judgemental, and extremely rude. He has even said to me, are you sure this is you and made me show him Id to prove it was my membership. I had just had a baby in that photo and the Costco photos are not great quality either. Thanks. Another incident nearly four years ago clearly sticks out in my mind as I was 9 months pregnant and he was giving he a hard time about my membership. It was so hot in the store and I felt like I was going to pass out. I eventually asked for a manager and she let us leave. I have always let these incidents pass but when he was so outwardly rude to my mom today, I have had enough. Every time I go, I avoid his line because he is so terribly unfriendly and horrible!

Costco no child restraint seats in women's or men's restrooms, new flex tech kitchen drawstring bags, stopped carrying kirkland brand women's camisoles.

When mommy and daddy need to use the potty and the child is too young to stand in the stall and the carts are far too big to fit in the restroom, it would be really nice to have those child restraint seats mounted to the wall or door of the handicapped stall. Plus it would also be nice to have an area to be able to get warm water to mix formula for bottles, besides using the bathroom sink. Next, I have to say I loved the kitchen drawstring bags prior to this new"flex tech, " now the bags have to shape and tear easily. 😔
Lastly I loved the Kirkland brand 2 pack of women's camisoles, (with modal ) I've been checking periodically for the last 2 or more years, they were the best quality and value. Please bring them back! Other than that, I love Costco and everything you carry. I spend thousands there annually. It's a real plus that you treat your employees well. It's telling by the great customer service! That's all, good day.

Costco costco cash reward on new iphone offer through verizon./

I bought an iPhone 7Plus from Costco Wholesale Corporation in their Wireless department St #1199, 4100 Quaker Bridge Rd, NJ-05522, There was an $200 Cash Card reward on this phone when I signed up new phone in Dec 2016 now we are in May 2017 month five months now I bought this phone and till this day they have still not send me a cash card or any refund yet I have spoke to so many people and so many emails sent to the kiosk#119 still no outcome, one of the staff working there NICHOLE FIRSTBROOK CRUZ who took my order and she did not do her job right she was little rude and all the time she keep giving me different excuses I am totally disappointed and very upset with their service. Please look in to this matter thank you I can provide you the proof of all the email transactions Thank you

Costco flowers

Ordered roses to be delivered to my grandma for her 90th birthday and then Mother's Day flowers for my mom. First grandma's flowers never arrived. Costco never contacted me. Then I called customer service where a very rude lady told me I was "mistaken" and they would only be delivered on Mother's Day? Well, I had heavily researched and made sure I had a confirmation for the date.. Then she later admitted they were having "difficulty" with a third party flower company... Then why accuse me of being "confused"? Which I wasnt... Many emails later I got customer service to ensure my Mother's Day flowers would be delivered on Friday before Mother's Day? I even told them just "let me know because I can order through Amazon" which I did with my grandmas missing birthday flowers.. But no I stuck with Costco because they assured me. Then Mother's Day came and left again no notification that the flowers never arrived! My mom had to tell me! I call customer service 3 day later and say"why can't you guys call me!?" And another rude lady says"multiple emails and calls were made" ohhhhh you mean when my grandmas flowers didn't arrive, that was me calling you! ?Never ! was I notified but twice now I have been blamed for not getting my flowers delivered! I think you need training in truth telling! Still no flowers... Still crappy customer service.. I wish I didn't love Costco for everything else..man they need to retrain staff...

Costco customer service handling of refund/incomplete refund

I am sending this message for the 4th time as the situation has STILL not been resolved. We have NOT received our refund on the second kayak.
I have communicated with Lindsay, Shawn, Alicia, and Jennifer, already, and we are extremely dissatisfied with this situation, the constant reassurances with no real action taken, and are unlikely to ever again use or recommend Costco Online:

"The first refund was processed, the second was not. And we are still waiting for it.

This has been an unnecessarily unpleasant experience because apparently Costco either has no systems or processes in place to keep track of multiple customer service conversations with one customer, or C.S. associates are not using them. I have spoken to several people, all of whom assured me BOTH refunds were being processed. Wrongly, one was still being processed as an exchange. This has happened over and over again.

We will take this as high up in the company as we need to to ensure we are refunded properly and fully for the second kayak. We do not, under any circumstances, want either of them. There is no exchange. We have returned both and want refunds on both. Period.

Please fix this profoundly inefficient, ineffective, and frustrating glitch in your Customer Service systems/processes.

Costco floral

Costco is being cheap and it's not right!
This passed mother's day I decided to purchase an arrangement of flowers from costco. I was assuming that costco had the regular HUGE bouquets with MANY varieties of different flowers. Instead what they had during this mother's day time were half flower arrangements.
I have been a member of costco since before costco was costco. it was price club back then. As a long time member, I am disappointed that costco did not deliver the consistent quality I am used to. I, as a Costco member, deserve better.

Costco employee

Yesterday is a beautiful day. May 14, 2017. After lunch with my family to celebrate Mother's Day my 8 year old son asked me if we can get his eyeglasses at Gateway Costco Imperial Ave. San Diego, Ca. It's been 2 weeks and the promised call that we will get when the eyeglasses is done, was never received. It's ok. Everybody can be busy sometimes.
But what happened to me with one employee at this optical should never happened to anybody. I bought 2 eyeglasses for my son. While the other girl was repairing one eyeglass, I asked for an extra cleaning cloth for my son's eyeglasses. Myesha Macklin (the other employee) was hesitant to find one and I don't know why because there is no other custumer at that time and it seems that she doesn't want to look for one. My son is only 8 years old and I just want an extra cleaning cloth as his glasses are always dirty and he always lose this cleaning cloth. I don't mind if there is really nothing. But to show that she is lazy to look around and the worst is when she gave me a used cloth. She opened one drawer and pull a crumpled, not in a plastic wrapper like the one that I got that is unused one. To give a used cleaning cloth to a child to use for his eyeglass is very unsanitary. We are talking about eyes here, the most important sense in the human body! And Myeshia Macklin gave me a used cloth! Yes, as an employee, probably they can use it. But you never give it to a custumer and tell me that it's new! If there is camera on this part of the store, please check it and you will see when she handed me this used cloth and where she got it!
And the worst is when I asked for a manager because I told her "Why are you giving me a used cloth?" She answered, "No, it's not used!" Again, when I asked for the manager, she looked around and this time she gave me a new cloth, a new one inside the plastic! I think this girl is not motivated to work with custumers as there is no respect for a custumer! No motivation to work and no custumer service at all!

Costco tire shop

Dear Costco;
We've been happy Costco members for many years and it really pains me to be writing this letter, but I'm pretty mad at my local store on Research Blvd in Austin TX.
My wife's car needed tires and even had a puncture in one. I wanted to replace them with Michelin Premier A/S. We arrived at the tire department to find several people queued up and nobody at the counter. After a time, a Tire Guy rushed up with a customer in tow and asked the now restless people if anyone was picking up a car. No, nobody was. After about 25 minutes we made it to the counter and were very unhappy to be told that only two Michelin tires were in stock. The Tire Guy told us there were two more in Cedar Park, and he could replace two and send us up there, but the gift card couldn't be issued t until we returned and showed proof of purchase for four tires. (why couldn't the Cedar Park Tire Guy have done this?) This was after flogging his computer for 20 minutes. I noticed that the crowd behind us had grown and they were getting restless despite the other Tire Guys running back and forth trying to deal with the crowd. This was not a happy place – it had a bad vibe. Our Tire Guy said that there was a Bridgestone tire that was wonderful and even cheaper and if we didn't like them they'd change them out within 30 days. We gave in. There was shopping to do and this store is a madhouse most of the time. We wanted to be done with what we expected to be a simple task.
We did our shopping and then waited another 20 minutes for the job to be completed. We expected this type of delay and fortunately didn't buy anything perishable.
But we were back a few days later when I noticed that one of the tires was on backwards! They're unidirectional, and clearly marked “THIS SIDE OUT” and the idiot who mounted it did it wrong! When we returned the Tire Guy was clearly exasperated and apologized. They fixed it as quickly as possible, but it was still 45 minutes sitting on your metal bench.
Free flat fix is a “seller” with Costco, so when I had a flat last week, I inflated the tire back to 30lbs and headed right over. I found a sullen gallery of about eight or so people queued up. This looked familiar. Nobody at the counter. A Tire Guy rushed in with a Customer in tow, and noticed the bad vibe right away. He apologetically announced that there was a minimum FOUR HOUR WAIT for anything! The crowd was speechless. I observed that I had a punctured tire on my car and was a returning Customer for the “free flat fix” service. Four hours to get a flat fixed? I politely asked about the appointments, considering I had a pump and could conceivably make it back tomorrow. “We're fully booked for the week” was the reply. “You can come in and wait.” I didn't give him the chance to tell me four hours, sitting on the Costco metal bench even if I arrived at opening. So I walked out.
I used my phone to locate a Lamb's Tire store within a mile. I inflated my tire again and headed over there. That Tire Guy apologized and said it would be 90 minutes. I accepted, and 45 minutes later he handed me my keys with a smile. When I handed him my credit card he said “no charge”, and noticing my surprise added, “it's always free at Lambs, we make Customers this way”. So somebody has a clue, don't they?
I will NEVER, EVER buy tires from you again! This is among the worst service experiences I've had in years. Additionally, my wife HATES these tires. We both had business trips and the car ran over the 30-days before we could get rid of these. Whoever is running the clown circus tire shop at the Research location needs to be doing something else, maybe collecting shopping carts.
I would have paid more money somewhere else, but I'd have gotten the Michelin Premier A/S I wanted, they would have been installed right, and my flat would have been fixed in a reasonable manner.

Costco cashback

I had the worst time with Costco and the same problem as many others. I was supposed to get my cashback but got nothing but empty promises. I went to Costco almost every day, called them, spoke with their manager and nothing.
They always told me that I have to be more patient and that cashback is not a fast process. I know that, but in my case it took over 4 months and 4 month is way too long for a cashback.
I am very disappointed with Costco and I will not deal with them again, they gave me a hard time. These people highly unprofessional.

Costco gas station attendant

Just now at the Costco gas station in Capo Beach Dana Point, CA the attendant told my son and I that we were not allowed to throw our trash away in the trash can. We had a single slice pizza box, and my son was making it smaller. The attendant actually walked over and said, "You can't throw that in there." I responded, "So, you're saying we really can't throw our trash away". He said, "No.". I said, "I never even use these trash cans and my son was just trying to help me--I can't believe that you're not letting me throw this piece of trash away." The attendant just shook his head at me.

I did tell the Manager Named Ross who said he would speak to the attendant. He did not ask me for any information. Based on his reaction--not sure if he was really going to speak to the attendant.

Also, about two weeks ago, another gas station attendant was actually outwardly getting angry with customers at 8:50 pm stating, "I'm going to go home late because you people need gas!"

I have never had any issues with Costco employees and all others have been very kind. I do think that because I was dressed down in my gym clothes--maybe the first attendant was judging me as I am half Hispanic--like I'm dumping all of my trash in the bins. It was very upsetting to end my Mother's Day on that note

Costco chris frontend at 1709 automation pkwy, san jose

Chris Frontend at Costco cashier was very rude to me and did not have any patient. Yelled at me because he did not do his math correctly. He also wanted to keep the change when we were trying to pay cash. We called for his manager, and the manager solved the problem. Even when the manager was here, his attitude was very rude. Please re consider this employee. Thank you!
