I would like to start out by saying that I am an account holder with Barclays Bank in London and in the process of cancelling. I can not believe a bank can operate under the disguise of serving the public when in fact the only interest they have is there own. I have personally been treated like garbarge by them. They have lied, deceived, misrepresented and have been totally negligent with regards to communication and handling of my funds. I have contacted a lawyer who was found scared of them because of their large law staff. What a shame when anyone is so big that no one wants to take them on. Well, it is our God given right to do so and the people can be heard. I will be heard if I have to make it my life's work to stop them from doing it to others. I am sure a class-action suit might wake them up just a little and we the people need to unify against them.

Barclays Bank goes much further in their attempts to undermind what is right and decent. They have supported dictator Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe with 1 billion in funds that was used militarily. In other words, Barclays has done their part in the genocide of innocent people and starving children to death. Running 100's of thousands of good people from their homes.

The word needs to go out on Barclays Bank and people need to cancel their accounts immediately. If I would of known what I now know I would of never had any dealing with such a monstrous bank. I have caught them in lies and incompentency and all they say is "sorry", then never do anything to make it right. A better name for them would be "Barclays Genocide Bank", proud supporters of regimes that murder and starve innocent people of the world. Now I know how just an account holder could be treated like garbage.

Whether you care how they treat their depositors or not. You must care what their true motives are with respect to human rights.

    I fully agree with all that you have said. I myself have been a Barclay's Customer for over 17years until things got so bad with them I had no option but to move to another bank. The Collections Department at Barclay's is rude, offensive and thoroughly incompetent. They have ruined my credit rating through no fault of my own, to which they have now verbally admitted but do not have the facility to write to me and apologize as my situation does not fall under there 'standard response format letters'.

    The whole situation has left me physically ill with stress and worry and Im left fighting a giant who just dont care about there customers. My most recent conversation (today) was cut short as the operator did not have the time to continue with my case, leaving me completely lost yet again. I have asked for her manager to phone me but this is not possible apparently.

    Barclay's you are the worst bank in the world!

    In 2007, while traveling on USAIR, I was persuaded by an employee of USAIR to apply for frequent mileage account. I didn’t know at the time, that this was a cover for a Barclay Bank Issued Credit Card. Two months later, I received a bill for $24.95 for a magazine subscription on account. I called the number on the bill, and told the employee of the Barclay bank that I never received a credit card and I never ordered any magazine. I then told the employee that I don’t want a credit card account and I wanted the account canceled. She said that to cancel the account, I have to pay the $24.95 weather I ordered the magazine or not. I reluctantly agreed to pay. I didn’t hear from them again until a month ago, when I received a bill for $272. When I called the Barclay bank in Delaware, I was told that the $272 was for a $1 late fee. I paid the first bill on time and there was no reason for a late fee. This is dishonest and fraudulent. The USAIRWAY has PARTERNED WITH BARCLAY BANK TO DEFARUD ITS ON CUSTOMERS. If you want to lose your customers, this is the way to do it. I will never fly with USAIR again.

    I have been victimised too, I am cursing my self having fallenin their sales trap and ava'iled personal loan in

    india (New Delhi) they are a bunch of illogical people .they dont have any human feeling for their customers

    it is a fact that whatever can be solved mutually, they still prefer slapping frivolous court cases just to harrass

    and humiliate their clients to spoile thier credit score and take undue advantage of their deep money power.

    Can any power on this earth can set them right ?other wise they will not stop from inflicting casualities on

    innocent and hapless customers like us .they are very destructive in their approach?Can any body help me out?

    I think I have an account with one of the world's WORST BANK CALLED BARCLAYS BANK. They have given me the worst nightmare. I am still with them but shopping for another bank and I will move pnce I get another bank.

    They are only interested in their interest and how to feed their fat stupid self. They have the worst customer service in the world and they have contributed to destroying a lot of their customers credit rating.

    Wow, what a joke of a bank. Barclays Bank's customer service department is by far THE worst I have encountered. I am surprised Frontier Airlines has not moved on to a different bank to administer the frequent flier credit card offer. The customer service at the bank is the worst I have ever experienced.

    If I did not love Frontier Airlines and want the mileage credit I would have dumped Barclays Bank long ago.

    Seriously, I do not understand how a company (Barcays) can stay in business with the poor customer service, lack of follow through, incompetent employees, not well-trained employees on their own products (e. g. stating they don't offer a "Pay Pass" credit card through Frontier Airlines, when they do!!!), weak supervisors, not calling back within 24 hours as they state a manager will do and managers not even aware of what the problem is.

    This goes back to mid-May when I was sent a new credit card because I was "upgraded" to a better card. Two months later and nearly 30 phone calls and I don't have resolution and continue to get incompetent customer service employees who give me incorrect information and do not seem to care to fix the situation. Stay clear of getting one of these cards if you can help it. (I read the negative post by a person who "was roped" into one there at the Denver Airport.)

    I am so disappointed in this product, Barclays Bank, any Barclays cards, especially the Frontier Airlines Barclays MasterCard, the incompetent call center they use in Manila, the uniformed bank customer service personnel in the U.S. who do not follow through and seem uninterested in helping, Frontier Airlines.

    A yatra Barclay card issue me by the bank and i paid all the bill of card my disupted bill is paid by on 30-9-2008 by recipt no 2635, 2634, 2633 but they did not deposit 10, 000.00 (ten thousand ) in my next statment andI also deposit 1680.00 on their request to clear all amount due and clear the balance by recipt 257210 dated 21.11.2008 but they neither depoist our amount nor clear any balance now some Mr. Rahul Nagar and Ravi kapoor call me and threantned me to face dire consequences and verba abuses by telephone 0120-3366425
    These people are more than dacoit and cheater

    PLEASE NEVER DO ANY TRANSACTION WITH BARCLAY BANK - INDIA. BARCLAY CREDIT CARD ARE BIG TRAP... Even if you make the payment before due date you'll be charged interest for delayed payment.. They intentionally pick the cheque dropped in the drop box at their whims and caprice and later give a call telling we have made the payment after due date. THEY ARE BIG CHEATERS

    I had an account with them for some years. I always was under the impresswion that they were next to God.
    Sadly recently, A girl I spoke to, she pestered me to transfer some of the money I held to earn some money. now, at 75 I need not money, and the money I had in saving was towards my burial. Now when this tart did transfer the money, she transferred TWIC the amount she talked about, and at the same time she wrote off the oney I had there in the first place. Yet when I wrote to them they ignored me.
    My next step is foir me to place my complaint with the police and accuse them as thieves. masoppropriating my money. I suggest run away from Barclays and their expensive, non sensicat adverts which cost is millions.
