Subject: Re: MIGRATION FROM POSTPAID TO PREPAID & THE PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE [|BAL|[protected]|[protected]|]

hi prabhakar,
I thought it is
just the customer service agents who are making a mistake, but now from your
mail i understood where the problem lies in... In-spite of me, mentioning my
contact number (in the end of original mail & also in my mail signature)
clearly in my mail, you are saying that you tried to contact me many a times in
my old no..
Now regarding your
request to clear my bill amount ... i cleared all my bill dues when i gave the
first request on 26th may but its been your representatives mistake of not
taking any action on my request and so my monthly rent & hello-tunes
got accumulated and now I've a Outstanding of RS. 1077.76 /- for the bill for
last 4 months and unbilled amount of Rs.30/- as on date.. this clearly being a
mistake/ error from Airtel's end i cannot pay the bill for that..
I'm now living
at Bangalore and none of the relationship centers here accept the request for
postpaid - prepaid conversion for TN phone nos.. i'm
in Bangalore from February'10 but i paid my bills till may, even though
i dint use it because they didn't accept my request here in Bangalore and so i
came back to Trichy mainly for that matter. This being a complete mistake on
your end i request you to take corrective action and convert my postpaid to
prepaid without me having to pay anything as i don't have any usage on the
card..

Thanks & Regards,

Subject: migration from postpaid to prepaid & the pathetic customer service

hi,

I'm writing this with regards to my TN Airtel phone # [protected]. I
gave
a request for migration of the postpaid no to a prepaid as i'm not using the
no
very often since I've moved out of TN. this request was given in the Trichy
cantonment AIR CONNECT showroom on 26th of may after clearing my outstanding
bill of around Rs. 1563 with all the required documentslike my photo, written
request and my ID proof. On monthly basis i still get my bills. and they still
renew my hellotunes and charge me a late fee also.my number is still not
converted to prepaid and they say the reason is i've outstanding now.your
executives made a mistake of not converting it to prepaid when i cleared all
my
outstanding and later they accumalate my hellotunes and monthly rentals &claim
i've usage and cos of that they cannot convert. this is ridiculous, every month
i'm calling in to customer care repeatedly and every manager says something
different and they promise that it'll be done in 48 hrs or so but i never hear
anything back from them within the time they promised. My bills come on time
without fail, but not any resolution.

Also your collection agents are calling in to my friends, whose no i've given
as a reference at the time i got the connection.and they never call me in
my Bangalore no though my friend gives my contact no to them. they never call
me and ask for a bill instead they keep disturbing my friend every 10 days in
spite of he giving my no. last 10 days back even i spoke to the collection
agent thro conference call and gave my Bangalore no to the agent to call me
in
that no but i never got a call from him, but then they still keep calling my
friend. he is also furious with the Airtel service and might be cancelling his
connection too.. i've been using many airtel nos from the very beginning for
the past 6-7 years and i've never faced any problems but now i'm having issues
with all the airtel connections that i'm using. your customer service had gone
down. if this continues to happen then you might loose all the customers and
the top position you claim to be in INDIA.

I'm thinking of cancelling my TN postpaid all together, my Bangalore
postpaid,
my Airtel DTH and also my mom and dad's airtel service altogether and moving
to
a different service if this is not been taken care of within this billing
cycle
making sure i'm not getting any more bills with the prepaid conversion been
done.
Any communication regarding this should be in the no [protected] or to this
mail

If any one has got the mail address where this can be escalated further than the 121@airtelindia.com// appellate@airtel.in // nodalofficer.tn@airtel.in

here goes my mail to 121 regarding the same issue

hi,

i don't understand the reason why you people don't read the mails properly
... I've mentioned clearly that you can contact me only in my alternate no
that is mentioned in this mail but regardless of that you have
tried reaching me in my old TN no and telling me that i'm not reachable. please
make a note of my contact no [protected] ..so any communication or
confirmation contact me in this no. i don't understand the fact that when your
agents are able to call me in my Bangalore no (mentioned above & also in my
previous mail ) asking why my usage is almost nil in my TN no..why not you
people who are trying to get this sorted out have my Bangalore phone no which
is mentioned in every mail and cu care call of mine.. this is
mere negligence or you people are trying to avoid resolving this dispute..
1. Request date::26th may
2. Request location::AIR CONNECT, Cantonment, Trichy
3. New SIM number::no new Sim was provided and was told that i can use the same
old sim card ( old sim card # [protected] 8)
4. Amount paid ::1563
5. Receipt number:: i don't have the receipt no as its been too long but your
records have been updated about the payment..

i hope this would be my last mail and my issue would be taken into serious
consideration!

Dear Sir
I have prepaid connection of AIRTEL. I always keep minimum balance of 30 rupees but 2 days back they charged me 16 rupees for java game downloading. I have checked my laptop and mobile both but there is no downloading and I remember I have not downloaded any game and today again they charged me 30 rupees for airtel wap download. no downloading further from my side.

I have contacted customer executive of AIRTEL but they replied you have downloaded. How it can be possible. Either they are playing a chitting game or they have wrongly mentioned my name in the downloader list.

Please suggest me the solution. I generally use intenet through this connection so I want to continue this connection. Please help me.

Thanking You

My mobile number is [protected].From 1st Feb to 9th Feb, there was a deduction of Rs. 300(apprx) despite of not making calls. When I complained about it to the executives almost 7-8 times, I got only one answer that there are calls being made from your mobile.I have deactivated outgoing calls due to this reason.I am enjoying the service from last 10 years. I want the solution. Please do the needful.

Airtel security deposit not returned after account close

I was holding a postpaid Airtel number in pune for around 4 years which I closed my due to various reasons (The most important one is that I moved to navi mumbai from pune and signals were very week in this region) on 23rd of Jul 2010. For this number I have submitted an amount of Rs. 249 as security deposit. I was informed that I will receive a cheque for my security deposit amount after 45 days of closing the account. Its been around 55 days I have not yet received any such cheque.
I tried to reach out to airtel customer care and the harassment begins.
At first place, Airtel IVR does not have any option for a customer to select when the account is closed. I tried to go via 'non-existing user -> to buy a new airtel connection' and got a chance to talk to there representative, even when I selected English as the communication language the customer care rep talks in Hindi (that too is hopeless :( ). During conversation I was informed that I was connect to Airtel prepaid department even though I dialed postpaid number (pune - [protected]). Prepaid team dont like to deal with postpaid customers so they simply disconnect. After trying same number for around 10-12 times finally it gets connected to postpaid department and the rep informs that the system is down, they cannot access the information and make a call after an hour. After 1 hours again I had to repeated same process and still the system is down, and this continued for the whole day. Again next day when I repeated the similar process and the system was up the reps were not having any solution to the problem and the simply disconnected the call and this happened for 4 times.
Finally, I decided to drop a mail to customer care services ( [protected]@airtelindia.com ) to look into the matter, I received a system generated acknowledgement mail with the reference number for further communication and the message that they will get back in 24 hours. Its been 4 days and I have not received any further communication from airtel.
I have send a reminder mail but still there is no answer. I tried to call them again but its going in same loop. I faced similar problem with one more number of Airtel that I was using around 6 months ago and finally I stopped sending the reminder mails for that number. It seems to be a habit of Airtel, not to return security deposit. I dont know how to escalate it and get my money back from Airtel.

Airtel airtel fraud

Hi,

I have a serious complaint against airtel broadband and people who are involved with it. I am a victim of ur executive's mistake and irresponsibility!

I have taken airtel broadband connection a/c no - [protected] plan & ndash; rs799 for 256kbps speed.
I have paid advance rental for 5 months.

I was not happy with the speed and service from airtel hence decided to cancel the connection. As per procedure,
I called up customer care to request for cancellation and spoke to cancellation department. They gave me an option
To change my plan, which was a time based plan!I have denied very clearly saying that I dont need any plan change!
I have also sent an email to airtel saying that I want my braodband to be cancelled.

But to my horror, airtel has forcefully changed my plan without my confirmation and changed to time based plan!

I get to know from customer care my cancellation request is not processed just because I have agreed to change my plan!
Which is clearly a lie! Airtel is desperate to keep the customers but they cant keep cheating!

Now I would like to know if this is how airtel works! I have written sevaral mails to mr ashish, but no avail! He seems that he doesnt want to respond! Now also when I see my bill, there is dsl usage charges? When my plan is unlimited y the hell usage charges? I am not here to do a charity for airtel, if u think u can cheat customers and make money, that just a temporary solution! Well internet is a strong medium to spread across messages, like the airtel fraud which would definitely make people think before going for airtel!

I have spoken to rakesh from airtel corporate office, delhi and he had promised that there would be absolutely no mistake from their end, but as usual, airtel wants to keep cheating!

Airtel bad network

Network connectivity of airtel has gone at worst level at new delhi and airtel is busy in minting money by offering new plans but not worried about grievances of customers already using airtel for 5-6 years and stuck up with airtel due to phone number widely circulated. My office is on 14 th floor at delhi in all 20 storey building for the last 3-4 years I am not able to get connectivity for poor network in luxmi nagar area and in kalkaji area too at first floor. We are making complaints but airtel people, all stupids are busy taking 10 days time on every complaint but result nil this is what happening

So guys avoid airtel, they dont require customers they want only takeovers in other coutnries dont know what type of service they will provide

Mr Rakesh Ranga
My contact no is [protected] and i want to remind even today that my complaint is not adhered to, Airtel is just jockeying with the customers. My point is Airtel is not able to solve the network related problems for years along in a stretch then instead of giving solution u are making customer care calls chargeable? height of lax attitude. Since u are replying this query i once again make this point that even after my complint in August 2010 and thereafter to nodal officers till date as on 10-01-2011 zero improvement is there in network position in Kalkaji Govindpuri extension area i therefore request u remind u once again do something if u can.

Airtel cheating the public

In 2007, the company sold two plans in mobile prepaid catagory named " 251RC - 6 yr validity and 252RC 6 year validity " and the same was also publicised on their website.

lacs of thousands of customers like me went for the same and the company initially extended the validity for 3 years and as explained by the dealers the validity was to be extended once more for 3 years after the first term expires .

Now on the eve of the first three years I wrote to airtel about the extension of validity for three more years as already promised and on the basis of which the plan was sold to the customers .

The co has now stated that the validity will cease after three years and the customers need to recharge for further validity thereby refusing to keep their promise they made while selling the plan to the customers - they all have been taken for a ride and the company has pocketed crores by cheating and false promise

The company' s action as above is nothing but cheating of lacs of customers- highly unethical, illegal and fit case of action by all the customers who bought the plans on their false promise

all of the customers who has brought the above plans 3 years back are requested to
a) lodge complaints individually against the co in the consumer court
b) they should write to telecom regulatory authority of Govt of india
C) should help me by sending the e mail to all your friends / addresses as much as possible for concerted mass action by all those affected

Airtel top up forgery

Subject: Airtel M-check Prepaid Top Up Failure

Mobile no: [protected]
Name: B Chandrasekar, Karur, Tamilnadu

I tried to Top-Up my Airtel Prepaid Number through Mcheck application for Value Rs.333 using my SBI Credit card. I recieved all successful messages from SBI card with a Auth code and successful message from AIRTEL. But my balance was not updated.I approached the customer care for the first time and i am asked to wait for 3 days if it is not reflected it was advised as the amount will be credited back to the bank account but it was not happened. I contacted the customer care after 3rd day it was told that it was problem with the bank, i am asked to confirm the transaction success. I contacted the bank and the transaction was 100% successfull. I again updated the same to Customer care executives and supervisors. It was very clear that the transaction happened and it was fault with Airtel but i am still not able to recieve my money in my balance or in my bank account. It was more than 10 times i contacted the customer care. But it seems to be very careless handling. I lost my money Rs.333. It was 30 days and no action has been taken seriously. Is this the service airtel is giving us and i am using this number for more than 6 years.I am totally uncomfortable woth this service recently i experienced with AIRTEL.

I am very much worried to find the complaint service is not toll free and i had lost more money in making complaints. This is really making a negative impression on the provider. No one is following up the complaint raised to tyhe customer care.

Airtel poor and worst customer care & services

I have an issue regarding my number [protected]. My sim is in inactive state although has lifetime validity. On calling custome care @ [protected] from chennai. I was said the validity is over and i need to recharge with 47 and then top up with any amount, and this can be done through easy recharge(can be done from chennai too) or online banking. As instructed recharged(transaction was also successful), but it was of no use. Nearly called thrice i was said the same. Forth time when I called, I was said nothing could be done to activate the sim later I was transferred to the senior representative who instructed me to send photo and address proof so that the sim could be activated (can be sent through post to the corporate address of airtel) or come to orissa and submit those documents to retailer . Being resident of chennai, i have chennai proof of address. even if i send it through post what is the guarantee that my problem would be solved. if they have my address proof why should i send it back ? (all info given was wrong even the senior rep)

Nearly I have spent more than 100 rupees on calling the customer care from chennai also recharged as instructed with 47+50 on Aug 11 of 2010 what is the use of doing all this things, Even when we delay to pay postpaid bill airtel people charge 50 rupees, what you give your customers for providing wrong information or information even which they are not aware of?.

Am concern about this number because with great difficulty running from pillar to post, i got this sim with my uncle's residential proof . I still wonder why sim is not provided to other state people. although we are willing to submit the proof of address. the customer relation center make a clear point that they will not issue unless orissa proof of address is given. “hum ko yeh sab nahi maloom jao bhubaneshwar waloon se pucho”( We dont know anything about this issue go speak to bhubaneshwar people) this is the reply i got from the jagatsingpur customer care person 2 years back on showing a copy of ECI card and passport for photo and address proof, airtel mobile postpaid bill for address proof. if it is so why airtel people provide temporary address and permanent address column in their enrollment form?

Later on 13 Aug 2010 called the nodal office of airtel @ [protected]. Told my problem and I was said they will make a call back the same day with the status. 4 days passed still there was no call.

Again i made a call to nodal office on 17 Aug 2010 and stated the problem from the A-Z. executive Mukhtar was assisting me. Again I was said they would make a call back. Finally i did get call stating that they need 2 days time for investigation and would make a call back, i asked for ref # for my complaint. i was said that i dont have mobile # how can a ref# be given. 7 days past still no call.

on 26 Aug 2010, I made a call again to the nodal office it was a kind guy Anshuman who assisted me he tried this level best but could not assist without ref#. again stated the problem from the A-Z on request. later he said the concern person Mukthar who took your complain will make call in few minutes for further assistance . After few minutes Mukhtar made a call. he stated that the number was sent to market and was sold out to customer and activated on 11 Aug 2010 the same day when i recharged. then I asked him for refund for the amount which i had recharged due to the wrong information provided by the customer care executive since the fault was on their part for providing wrong information. i was said even refund cannot be done. they do accept their fault but finally blamed me(no Apology for wrong info provided before)

I frequently used to call my number and check if its activated but i used to get same IVR message "out of service" i made a cross question i was said the number was bought by a person and did not submit proofs so they had to disconnect the number temprorally, the reply was not at all satisfactory because every day when i made call the IVR message was same "out of service" and if any one who would have activated his number and later switched off also i would have got some different IVR message.

So Finally called the Appellate office got the some what same reply with some different information. As usual had to state the whole chronicle again and request for refund and told all the problems which i faced right from buying sim to the recent problem from the customer people to the nodal office support. She did give me a great information, that is if you have lifetime validity sim and is not recharged for two months it denotes the validity is over and the number is taken off. i asked why they are called life time validity sim when its validity gets over in two months. Now this speaks the well about process knowledge of the Appellate officer(hope officials of airtel when they see this they can understand).on cross questioning them the answer differ each time on the same call just imagine they them self are not sure what they say. I also placed the question why they have quality check when the information was given all the time wrong and every time they did not even bother to give a proper answer. again excuses with unacceptable answer. the information i got from Appellate officer initially the sim was sold out into the market and was activated twice she confirmed on this. Even verified with the nodal officers answer she said it was “its not like that” on cross questioning again she said it is sent to market but yet no one has bought it. Conversation went 19 mins i guess . God better know which info she gave is right (both answer given by her did not match with the information given by nodal officer) And a clear point was stated recharged money wont be refunded even though fault is on their part.

Now which information i should believe the one which Nodal officer told me or the Appellate officer gave me or the customer care?...

even i use airtel mobile, tele-media, dth, dsl services in chennai and i don't think i ever faced such problems. even if there is a problem a single call is enough to get problem solved even while roaming over other states for mobile services. Never even once i faced such problem in my 12 years connection with airtel since from the time it was skycell in chennai. Opted airtel for its quality service it provides but i find it reverse in nature in orissa and above stated problems.
Worst thing everybody called me with my first name with a prefix Mr. What else we can expect from airtel orissa? Such a beautiful customer care, nodal officers, Appellate officer. And what a respectful hospitality in customer relation center. Award winning crew over all.

People better think twice before buying a airtel orissa gsm connection.

Hi All,

I am still waiting to resolve the following complaints. Along with the
following, I have registered 2 more complaints about the same issue for Jun and
Jul Months where the recharge did not happen. It is now 4 months, I am
registering complaints every month.

The complaints numbers are as follows,
[protected] - Today - Jul - 2010
[protected]
[protected]
[protected] - May 2010
[protected] - Jun 2010

Kindly ensure that I get the compensation for the trouble given to me on time
to time basis for resolving the same complaint again and again. Every time I
get the response that the complaint will be resolved in next 7 days and it did
not get resolved till today.

I need to know whether Airtel nodal officers do have some responsibility for
customer complaints resolution?

I do not want the Rs. 100 now onwards as it is not provided up till now (except
once for Rs. 110 and that too after 10 calls). I want my money back for all
pending 11 months. Else I have to go to higher authorities. After that the
final call will be to go to Consumer Grievance Cell if it is not addressed
there.

Regards,
Deepak

Dear Sir,

I have taken a Airtel broadband connection on 17-Mar-2010. The plan is as
follows,

1. 256 kbps - Unlimited internet connection
2. Free Rs. 500 - Airtel To Airtel Calls
3. Free Rs. 100 - Any Prepaid Airtel mobile recharge.

I am having the benefit for the above 2 points as of now. The 3rd benefit is
not received even after my several complaints to the 121. You can check the

Airtel non-receipt of deposit refund

I had obtained a postpaid mobile two years ago (No.[protected]). I had paid a deposit of Rs.500 at that time. A few months ago, I converted it to a pre-paid category. At that time I was promised that my deposit would be refunded to me by cheque. So far the deposit has not been refunded.

I was told that a cheque for Rs.417 was sent to me by courier. However, I have not received it. Please verify what happened to that cheque. If that was not delivered, and returned to Airtel, please arrange to send me a new cheque at the earliest.

I am writing this email because I was being asked to keep calling several numbers, but none of them was helpful.

Thank you.

Airtel airtel dth after sale service pathetic.

Hi,
I have a airtel dth connection customer id: [protected].
When I turned on my tv on 18th august, I got a error message b001 on my screen. This error message suggested checking the dth cabling, I checked the cables to the best of my knowledge and that did not fix the issue.

I called airtel dth customer care on 18th august at 10:30 am, they registered my complaint (Complaint # 3591734) with an assurance that an on-field technician will visit my place and fix the issue before 3:15 pm on the same day. However there was no call/no show by any airtel representative that day. I tried calling the cell phone number provided by airtel in their customer complaint opening confirmation sms, and the person disconnected my call after a couple of rings. I called back
Airtel dth customer care the same evening around 5:00 pm for a follow-up on my complaint, the customer service representative had nothing to offer other then asking me to wait for another day and he logged another complaint for the same issue (Complaint # 3595133) with a assurance that my issue will be fixed on the following day before 4:19 pm.

No one called or showed up the next day till 12:00 noon, so I called airtel dth customer care back for a follow-up and this time I got another assurance that I will get a callback and an onsite field technician visit later in the day and the issue will be fixed before 4:19 pm. I also reached out to the "grievance redressal" section of airtel dth website.

But history repeats itself and I still have not been contacted by anyone, forget a technician visit to fix the issue. Today is the third day that I am living with this issue.

I have had very good experience in the past with airtel broadband customer care and thought that I will have the same experience with airtel dth but unfortunately the service is so pathetic that a cable operator would have been able to provide better service than airtel.

I have demanded a full refund from airtel and am planning to move back to cable tv.

For those who read this review before planning to purchase airtel dth, please reconsider your decision. I don’t know which dth service provider is better but for sure airtel dth service is pathetic!.

Airtel dissatisfaction on service

Dear sir/madam,

This is s. Nithya, from annanagar (W) chennai-40. Unfortunately iam ur customer and I want to get releaved from being ur customer. My landline no : 044-[protected] and I have also taken the broadband connection, currently iam in 599 plan.

Date on which I received the connection 10/7/2010.

Reason for which I want to get terminated both landline cum broadband connection is due to dissatisfaction.

Problems which I faced:
1. The landlline instrument which I received was a fault instrument.
2. From the day one, from my first out going call the problem in the telephone line was been found (During the call time a disturbance, trouble in phone was found).
3. Regarding that I made a complaint to customer care, the attended but again problem was not rectified, because problem arises only when make calls or attend calls.
4. Again I made a complaint, they replaced the old model, old instrument. Here iam dissatisfied. The service attender told that he will replace the new instrument as I requested for it.
5. They asked me to wait for some days to replace instrument. Later the instrument was not replaced. Now this instrument also has the same problem, during out going and incomming calls we find distrubance in line. For that again I made a complaint to replace a new perfect instrument else asked to terminate the connection.
6. From the retention department they told that they will provide a new connection and asked me to continue in the 499 plan and for which I agreed. But as they said they did not replace the phone instrument. So due to dissatisfaction again I filed a complaint to terminate the connection.

Please refer my database as how many complaints I have filed and check whether those complaints were checked and rectified.

Please sir/madam - understand my situation. For a new connection is this my fate to accept an old serviced instrument which again has the same fault in the line. Really iam fedup with your service. So I request you to terminate as soon as possible and relieve me from this tension so that I will switchover to other telecom and get connected with it, to have a peaceful service and continue my work.

Here after I d'nt wish to be with bharti airtel telecom limited.

Thank you...

From: [protected]@hotmail.com

Dear Sir,

With due respect, I would like to bring in your knowledge that I am using the captioned connection since last 2 years and recently about 2 months back (June 2010) have got the same number transferred from post to pre-paid. At the time of conversion, I had requested for conversion of post to pre for 2 numbers i.e. [protected] & [protected] and have signed, submitted the complete docs at your Model Town, Ludhiana showroom to Ms. Vanita Bhanot [protected]). She had cross checked all the documents and got my sign on the account opening form as well.

The captioned number is used by my mother and while she went to Dehradun for 2 weeks ago, when her number was active. There she switched off the phone and she came back to Punjab on Sunday (15.08.2010), where she was not able to access her sim. After conversing at 121-helpline, they were not able to solve the complaint and directed us to visit nearby showroom, where yesterday I went to your Model Town, Ludhiana showroom and met Ms. Vanita. As promised by her she called up today to confirm that my number has been permanently blocked due to non-submission of proofs, where I told her that (a) nobody has called up to demand for proofs and (b) that mobile was switched off from last 10 days and (c) also that I have given my alternate number the form submitted to you and (d) also that the other number which I got trasferred simultaneously i.e. [protected] is working fine and nobody has demanded any documents in that.

I would also like to appraise you about my relationship with AIRTEL is about 6 years old and following numbers are running in my name and being used by my family members i.e. [protected] + [protected] + [protected] + [protected] + [protected] + 2 landline numbers and also about 10 numbers are running in my fathers name (monthly billing consolidated not less than Rs.30, 000/-

I therefore would request you to kindly look in to the matter and get the captioned number activated.

Regards,
Amardeep.
