coupon promotion
I shopped at the acme in cape may on August 11 2018 and forgot to bring the 8 dollar off a $75 dollar purchase that was given to us in the vacation welcome package. We spend $83.00 qualifying the purchase under the terms and conditions of the coupon . I returned to the store last night on aug 15 when we returned for more food items. I went to customer service and requested the coupon refund . The man behind the desk refused to refund the coupon and honor the promotion .His name was William and he said he was the manager and refused to let me speak to someone else in charge . We spend another $63.00 last night along with other small purchases during our vacation week here in cape may .the intention of your coupon is to market and promote a positive customer service relationship with your store . I have never had any store refuse to honor a coupon if I have met the terms and simply forgot to bring it with me . I believe I was treated very unfairly by this decision .
customer service
On Sunday, August 12th, 2018, at approximately 9 pm while entering Acme Market located at 3200-09 Red Lion Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19114 I noticed an elderly woman sitting outside alone with a shopping cart full of groceries. After shopping for approximately 20 minutes, I AGAIN noticed the same elderly woman sitting outside with her cart of groceries. After loading my groceries into my vehicle I became more concerned and approached her and asked, " Are you okay"?
She responded, "I'm okay, " so I continued exiting the parking lot.
After unloading my groceries at home I called [protected] (the stores number on my receipt) and asked to speak to the manager. After a few minutes someone answered with the following, and I quote. "What, " I was a little taken back so I asked if this was the manager, and he said "YEP". At this point I became agitated and asked him his name and he said Kyle. I notified Kyle that I was concerned about the elderly woman outside and asked for him to make sure she was okay. I got another "YEP" and that was all. I am upset that ACME would allow this type of behavior when calling for assistance.
cashier
I was at Acme in Woodbury NJ this morning. When I was ready to checkout there were only 2 registers open with 5-6 people in each line. This line was shut down and we were moved to another register. Still only 2 we're open. Not one employee opened another register but I know they noticed the long lines. This is ridiculous. There are maybe 10 registers. I don't understand why another was not opened. You are getting as bad as Walmart!
Complaint about gm
I am always in your store at 146 foxhunt dr. Bear, de. 19701... Anyway, I wanted to make a statement about your gm mr. Springer, he is such an ignorant rude person that shows no respect towards his employees I heard him pretty much threaten employees to quit, he just talks to them as if they are his personal slaves... If it was me I would walk out in the middle of the shift... But first I would probably spit in his face. I look at those employees and see the frustration and anger in there faces... But I guess they need the job so they put up with it. I approached one employee and said why don't you file a complaint with hr... She said she was afraid to get fired.
cashier
I am uncertain of my cashier's name as i was upset and can not remember and i did not receive a receipt because i was using WIC checks. The WIC checks seemed to be the problem. My cashier rolled her eyes and sighed when she realized i was using them and than made a few comments about the fact i was using them and that it was more than one. I do not think she realized she was even offensive and tried being nice after the fact but i was already feeling uncomfortable and found myself apologizing for something i shouldn't have to as i was doing nothing wrong. I do not wish to get anyone in trouble but i do not think someone should be made to feel bad about trying to get food for their family.
customer service
I recently went to the acme in Richboro Friday night around 9:30 with my boyfriend. Now I normally use the acme close to my house in newtown but I was at his house so this was closer. We got a few thinks: sushi, boxed water, and a cupcake. My boyfriend ended up accidentally dropping the cup cake on the floor and the container opened getting iceing all over the floor. We went to the customer service desk to let a lady know so it could be proper cleaned. When we approached the lady to let her know what happened she snapped at us yelling at us telling us to go find someone else to talk too. I work in retail and I know that if I'm busy or an employee is too busy to help a customer we find someone else to help not snap at them to walk away. It's important for costumes to feel wanted there and important.
produce spoiled and wet.
I bought a bag of potatoes and of couse the bag is wet. Go home, peel potatoes more than half of bag bad black inside. This isn't the first time. Why would you purposefully wet all your produce? I know the single produce wetting them makes people think they are fresher. When in fact it spoils them quickly. Also, I have asked when they are getting Johnsville precooked breakfast sausage. I am told next shipment. Been waiting since June. I find the employees very nice and helpful.
check out line
I was waiting in line at the Wildwood, NJ Acme. The lady in front of me said the items I front of me were not hers. Next thing you know, a lady shows up with a cart filled with items and claims the items in front of me were hers. She demanded she go in front of all the people waiting to her other items. So she put some items to hold her spot while she went and shopped some more. Your cashier let it happen too.
This is unacceptable to let people leave items to hold their spot in line while they shopped some more.
I'm a cashier at a Acme and I'm getting in trouble because I tell costumers they have to many items for express ! DAM IF YOU DO AND DAM IF YOU DON'T ? What the heck ? I do my job and i get in trouble for it ? There are a lot of Nit-Nat's out in this world ... I had a customer that wanted to beat the [censored] out of me because i told her that she had to many items for express, she said she was going to call the cops on me ? ( She had 35 items on a 10 item register and it was RUSH hour . All I said to her was, MAM, do you realize this is express ? OMG she stared yelling on top of her lungs . ( She said: this is the 3rd time you said this to me and i said "why are you coming back to my register ? UGH ... Why can't people read right ? EXPRESS is EXPRESS !
Happens all the time there. Cashiers are afraid to do anything about it. Complain to corporate.
store manager mark davis
The store manager Mark Davis is very rude and not helpful . I asked a question about a coupon in the circular and he pushed me off on a young kid at Acme. Not the first time I've had a run in with Mr. Davis. I never have a problem with the employees that work in all the departments. It seems like management at this acme Store in Chester Springs Pennsylvania is lacking management skills .
I knew Mark when he was a young store employee in Paoli, have not seen him in a long while. I will go to his store and reconnect and speak on this later.
kenj124578, I concur with your opinion of Mr. Davis. An arrogant man with a blatant case of Napoleon complex. He has no people skills and should have never sniffed a management position anywhere.
promotion and discounts
I brought a pack of 12 1l of Glaceau Smart water on Thursday because it was on sale.
However, I did not realize it had charged me per 1 bottle price of $1.99 each.
I requested a refund today, but the staff said the discounted price was only put up yesterday ?
I was sure l brought it at the discounted price but the staff was unwilling to check this for me !
I do not find that is fair. Please look into this.

checker stated he was unable to place an order in a reusable bag
Today I purchased eight items at the Acme Market, 2400 Delaware Ave., North Wildwood, NJ 08260
Store # 2838
Checker # 122 - Name Daniel M
I went to the Express Check Out for 10 or less, I handed the Checker an Acme Reusable bag.
He looked at me and said "Sir you will have to put your items in the bag as I don't know how to use that type of bag".
I told one of the associates that I know is Year Round Acme employee and she said when she asked him about the incident, he wouldn't answer her.
This is not the type of service I expect from an Acme Market Associate, as I shop 52 weeks a year in Acme Markets.

Went to macdade blvd acme in glenolden PA. I went to the money order counter to see if I could recharge a prepaid card for my mother. I explained to the lady at the counter tha t I was trying to recharge the card but I didn't have it with me but I had the information. I guess the lady decided to judge me because the look that she gave me wasn't friendly at all. She just told me that she count do that went up the counter while ignoring me, shooed me away and just and didn't even try to help me if she could help in another way.
dairy - milk
Within the last couple of months we have noticed that the milk products particularly organic Valley or anything organic expiration dates have exceeded and the product is still on the shelf. Didn't notice this till I came home poured milk for my families cereal didn't look at the date and noticed it was already a week old after I noticed the milk come out clumpy. We have since stopped buying milk in all Acme stores because of this. As of today we still see not Best Buy but expired products on your shelf. We have gone to other stores to include military commissaries and they seem to have no problem keeping current dated items on their shelf. If you want customers like us and our neighbors to continue shopping in your store, this will allow us to feel comfortable buying products without having to look at every expiration date you put on the shelf. Just so that you know we didn't mention this not want your staff but management. Especially when one of the guys said I'm sorry I just work your part time I'm just helping them out I don't know what you're talking about. Or management says will look into that. So thanks for the possibility of getting Upset stomachs in my family.
store staff bensalem pa
How disappointed 90% of the time I shop here! Lived in this area over 25 years. Every time I shop here day shift staff not as friendly as night time staff. Think the ones that been there too long get too comfortable. Finally after cutting coupons which is a job. Wanting to get food order over with. Have to go day because kids in school work 2 Ned shift. How's this: giving up on Acme going to shoprite or Giant. Deli people and cashiers need improvement on day staff! Really miss a good manager. Like Mike Moyer long time ago.
midland park new jersey
, I'm not sure if you receive my previous complaint, because the system seems antiquated to submit, so I am going to repeat what I had said in the previous email. I am a customer of the Midland Park New Jersey store . I shop there frequently and a iamb very dismayed about what I see going on there. The customer service is dismal at best, the morale amongst the employees again is dismal. I don't see any leadership qualities from management personnel, it seems as though everyone that works there could kind of care less if the store succeeds or not. It is a shame because it was a stellar supermarket for years. I was at the customer service counter and the two women working behind the counter were about is unfriendly as jail guards. This was this past Sunday, May 20th. Not only were they rude, they were very unkempt, not great representatives for the management team for your store. Also while standing in line, I overheard one register clerk speaking to another about how they shop at Trader Joe's. I find it quite ironic, and a bit insulting, because perhaps that is where I should be shopping. Their customer service is stellar, and they were people constantly asking if you need help with anything. Perhaps your corporate management team can take a note from their Book on how to run the store. I'm writing this because I feel as though the market seems to be sputtering, it is in a great location, but unless some serious 911 Takes please, I don't see it surviving. Anyways I thought you just like to know., Sincerely, John P Dolan.
perdue chicken thighs
On 5/12/18 I purchased a package of the Perdue chicken thighs. These must have been frozen then thawed out and sold as fresh. After cooking them, they had a very 'bloody' taste and all of them had to be thrown out. Needless to say, dinner was ruined for me and my family.
This is not the first time this has happened with your chicken products. I have noticed that when I take them out of the original packing, the bottom still has ice on it. Also, the bones have a dark red/blackish color to them - not appetizing at all!
I like shopping in Acme but I have to confess that I will no longer be purchasing from the meat/chicken department, since this has happened more than just once.
I purchased them in your Bronxville, NY store (#2437).

parking lot trash
Trash! i am so embarrassed to have anyone come to my neighborhood and visit your acme. The trash is a constant source of cringe. Over the years, i have submitted complaints in writing and by phone; however, to no avail. I have taken lots of pictures of the trash. I'm done. I am no longer giving the acme a pass. You say you will address it. Well, month after month, you failed. On monday, i will be contacting licenses and inspections. Who do you have cleaning these grounds? even an impaired person can see all of the missed trash in your brushes, grassy areas, up on your hill, germantown ave, sedgwick street, all of the cart areas, and your disgusting bathroom is not fit for a dog.
Please note, i will demand l&i fined you for this property and if they choose to inspect the rest of your store, so be it . I am done with this!
service
Good Day,
I was on my lunch hour went to the Acme in Saddle brook for a few items. I went on a line with my produce when the cashier very nasty said this is a 10 item line. I only had 15 items and there was no one after me. I placed my produce on the belt anyway. Once again in a very nasty way said to me this is express for next time. I bit my tongue as not to tell off the old bag whom should not be working with the public! I was not only anger but embarrassed. I am not a child to be continue saying the same thing. Then as if I was doing monopoly, said yes and she oh trying to win something like making fun of me on doing the game...I was so angry but still keep my composer, like the profession woman that I am. Cherly V should not be working with the public with that nasty behavior. Store no. 1992 oper 127 time 13:29.
service
I have just had the worst experience ever for my first time in two plus years of going to the 440 location in jersey city. My first complaint would be that's as soon as I walk through the door the manger or supervisor of the time was very unpleasant. She had a very bad attitude and not very welcoming. Then me my sister and mother went to cash out in the express lane that says 15 items or less and our cashier muaree was very unpleasant. She first got upset that my sister didn't want to spend an extra $25 to get the deal for the polar spring water. Then as my mom and I were separating our stuff because we used one cart Mauree caught an attitude and said oh you can't do that. Then the same woman that was unpleasant when I first walked in the store ( manger/supervisor) at the time came up to us and was like you guys can't do that. I kindly told her that it's different trancastions. She just kept repeating that you can't do that this is an express lane it's 15 items or less. To remind you I had 9 items and my mother had 9 items and the lane allowed the max of 15 items per customer. The only reason we spilt the transaction because we were all using our own cards and we all live in different household. I even informed her of that information. The manger/supervisor attitude just got worse and she then said well y'all ant do that in here and that I'll let her ring you up now but next time y'all can't do that. Which I was very confused cause we did nothing wrong. She was also very loud as to where the whole store could hear and she did it right in front of mauree and autum (employees )that were switching register. I have never felt so embarrassed in my life and Im a very loyal customer I go there with my mother and sister every Sunday. I'm at the point where I don't want to return to that location because of how embarrassed I felt. I would like to be compensated for my terrible experience.

rude, unprofessional behavior
While on my way to visit a sick relative last night I felt I needed to bring something to the Hospital. I thought of flowers, but felt because she would need someone to do her shopping for a week or so until she was back on her feet so I thought to myself, an ACME gift card would be perfect. This would make it easy for the person doing her errands. What a mistake. I stopped in to the ACME; it was empty. Great I could be in and out. I looked around for a bit to find them without one soul asking what I needed, then decided to go to the register in front "customer service/register" to purchase an item and ask about gift cards. The Associate Olivia, who was waiting on me was more fixated on the customer behind me looking to buy a pack of cigarettes listened to nothing I said. I told her I wanted to purchase chocolate and gave her the $2.00 and I would like 2 $50.00 gift cards put on my Debit. While I'm explaining this I'm listening to "Do you just want to buy cigarettes? I can ring them"" He says yes, but that's okay I'm fine. " Is that all you're getting? " (a minute later) while she's throwing my candy in a bag and sending me off. I said again, I need to purchase 2 $50.00 gift cards. She scanned them, she swiped them, again and again and again. I could not figure out what she was doing? and all the while repeatedly asking this man about his cigarette purchase and if he needed anything else. He said both times, "I'll wait". She must have retried the transaction 4 times and moving a mile a minute. The person with me even said what's wrong with her? When she finished I said to my friend, she's more concerned about a $6 dollar pack of cigarettes than a $100.00 purchase? There hasn't been a time I've gone in to this Acme and not seen anyone standing around conversing with each other while customers are waiting for service. I would have been better of going to CVS and getting a Visa Gift Card.
