customer service employee carlos
I was in Acme of Runnemde Nj and I was in the soup isle with a neighbor. I was looking for chicken noodle soup it was a young man a few steps away scanning .I said hey can you tell me where Campbell chicken noodle soup is I asked the ? 3 times. As I found the soup he then said "Were you talking to me you didnt say excuse you" my next words were excuse who? And who are speaking to .. He proceeded to tell me to go ahead and i said would you like to talk to me outside? He proxeeded to laugh we walked on to continue shopping. I had to grab tea bags which are I'm the front aisle 3 away from where we were @ he comes right to the aisle that I'm @ and continues to bully and pick. He states he is 32 years old and can do what he want. I walked up to a young lady working self check out as I was explaining she was laughing the whole time I asked for a manager she never said a word. So now where in line and he threatened me and said he was calling the police. He was talking to 2 co workers who worked customer service and when he walked outside I went up to the lady explaining Suzzane she didn't seem to interested. Then turns me in the direction of a manager Anthony. I explain I also tell him I'm a cook and if a customer came up to me no matter what I would be polite and kind towards them. I am a black female.I feel I was bullied and I will never go back to that store but also believe he may have followed us as we left the store. This woke me out of my sleep not 1 person offered asdistance they stood around and watched as this employee followed me I never went back once I walked away from the soup aisle. Imagine if I had my grandchildren.I have never seen a man be so nasty at work to a customer as i was treated. Runnemede is mainly white. I rarely go in there because they all look as if they have never seen a black person. The deli people have been very nice the few times I have been there. But this concerns me and woke me out of my sleep.People no matter color age gender should be treated like people not dogs.
thanksgiving dinner not fresh made at all
I shop at Acme 2-3 times a week. I drop about $800 plus/month in your store. However, I was very disappointed with my recent experience in purchasing a Deluxe Signature Turkey dinner for Thanksgiving.
Your brochure led me to believe that the dinner was being made fresh (memorable meals prepared for you). Not.
When I stopped by to pick up the dinner on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the turkey was frozen! I said how am I supposed to thaw this out before tomorrow? I thought this was being cooked and handed to me warm or cool. They told me that is how it is. I made a comment that I was not taking a frozen precooked factory turkey for tomorrow. They eventually found one that was more thawed.
Here's my beef. I have ordered dinners form Wegmans, Shop Rite and others who actually make the dinners on site and all of the sides are freshly made.
Your ad said the dinner would feed up to eight. Not. Maybe four would be more accurate. A huge box was given to me that was missing some of the sides and then they ran to the frozen food aisle and got me some sides. I don't eat that kind of food.
I could have purchased a turkey breast and made the sides myself for half the price ($69.99).
Why didn't the store/brochure indicate that the turkey/sides were not cooked fresh?
Why did they not ensure that the turkey was thawed before my pick-up time? I ordered it the week before.
I must say I am very disappointed at the false advertising and the "frozen" Thanksgiving dinner.
I'll be thinking twice before I pour anymore money into your overpriced store.

the deli department
Good afternoon. I am a frequent visitor to the Acme in Easton MD. On Friday morning, I went to get some food from the deli and witnessed a very dirty and concerning kitchen. One of the deli workers wheeled out two very dirty carts filled with tortilla chips. There was no cover on them and the bottom of the cart was filthy. The floor was gross and the background appliances were horrendous as well. I have attached a picture. I will not be shopping here again anytime soon unless this issue is addressed.
Did you try to report it to a manager while you were there?
an employee
Today I was at an acme shopping plaza in Browns Mills nj 08015 to be exact 18 Broadway st., my daughter was having a temper tantrum she’s 3 and one of the employees turned around and came around the counter and said “have fun with that†not only rude but this isn’t the first encounter with her ! I believe she is the manager ! All I know is she has short blonde hair and she’s an older lady . So unprofessional . Really disappointed being that this is where I normally do all my shopping ! The other encounter was when my father returned a bottle of Tylenol and her reply was whoever left it should have swallowed the bottle instead of leaving it behind. Not only am I appalled but I spend hundreds of dollars for me and my family to be treated like garbage and disrespected . Never in my life would I think someone in a corporate business would speak to someone in this manner ! I’m beyond frustrated and upset .
store manager
I'm a delivery driver for KeHE distributors I was making a delivery today at 8am to Acme store 2424 100 route 22 goldens bridge N.Y. 10526. There was no receiver so I called the stores phone numbers and there was no answer. I walked around to the front of the store and nobody was at the customer service desk. A cashier called the manager to. Go to the back room for a delivery, I waited 10 more minutes nobody came back so I opened the door to deliver the products on my truck when I was done about 15 min the manager came back and I asked if he was the manager. He said yea I'm the [censor]ing manager who the [censor] ARE YOU and who the [censor] do you think you are opening my door he was very unprofessional I do not feel I need to be yelled at when I am making deliveries to a store I am just trying to do my job I was afraid that he was going to get in a physical altercation with me and I do not feel safe going back to that store if he is going to be there maybe he should attend some anger management classes I do not know what his name is because he was not wearing a name tag he just had a gray Acme shirt on.
weekly circular sale items.. denied to redeem
I recently visited the Acme Supermarket on New Bridge Road in Bergenfield NJ, specifically, for their 4-Day "Special" Circular sale items.. After I spent close to 45 minutes and went on line to check out, the cashier stated they are not honoring the circular sales because the store will be closing.I asked to speak to the manager, who just repeated the same 'speal'. The directed me a sign and then advised me to go to another location, which was at least a 1/2 drive further! I questioned, if the items are in stock in your store, why they would not be on sale, and furthermore that the sign was absolutely useless because one wouldn't know this "Special" notice unless you actually visit the store. I've never heard of such poor advertising techniques or customer service policy. It's no wonder they're closing! With all the competition out there, the least they could do is not deceive their customers.
clayton acme store hours
I am beyond aggravated with my hometown Acme. I have been on 3 different pages online and all 3 are showing different closing times. Apparently they close at 9:00 pm, 9:30 pm, and 10:00 pm. I guess it depends on what you click on. The ad I received for this weeks 4 day sale says most stores close at 9. Again I look it up and it says they close at 9 and it's the Labor Day hours. Low and behold I pull in at 8:00 to find a sign in the window saying they are closing at 8. This is not the first time...I stopped after work another night at 9:30 because of the site that said they close at 10. As soon as I walked in they made a closing announcement and the cashier and bagger were making comments about people coming in at closing. I told him the site should be updated to reflect the proper closing time. I understand your employees have families and a life outside of work. I also work full time and have a life and family outside of work. So I depend on the internet and apps to plan my shopping trips. So now, because of work and 3 different closing times online, the time on your circular and the time in the door I have missed out on things I needed for my daughters first day of school tomorrow. Had I known the true hours of my hometown Acme I would have managed my time better this weekend with work and back to school needs. Thank you for your time, however I doubt very much I will ever go back. While I live in Clayton, at the end of the road it is on actually, I will drive to the next town and beyond if necessary to fulfill the needs of my family around my work schedule.
Self checkout
I had Scanned and bagged three Gatorade and was told I had to wait for an assistant, for whatever reason, after 5 minutes of waiting I finally had to just leave, meanwhile"employees" are just standing around talking. Needless to say I'm not ever going back in to that dump, nor will my family or friends. Not that anyone cares about theses but I thought someone might want to know.
customers service
I was told by Mona at customer service that she could not check me out because there has to be 6 people in each express lane. Then she proceeded to check out employees. When I asked her about it she said they were a priority over customers because they had to get to their breaks. I feel as though customers should be a priority in the customer service line.
watermelon
the past 5 times I have been to acme I have purchased your seedless whole watermelons at 5.99$ a piece. We go through 2-3 watermelon a week, out of the 5 I have had one good one, all the rest are flavorless and inedible. Very disappointing. 5.99$ is a good deal but I've now wasted 23$ on bad watermelon from your establishment. Who can I contact to

customer service area
On Sunday, July 7th, [protected]@9:59 am, I went into to Acme 1001 N Dupont Hwy, Dover, DE 19904 to receive my MoneyGram; a cashier named Vonda asked for my ID and informed me that the MoneyGram was in another last name; she asked me for a State job ID and I showed her my State ID from Deltech College which is a State job. She insisted that I was not staff and it was not a State job, and stated any student could get an ID if they are 21 years old. which my ID clearly said, Staff/Faculty on the front along with my picture, and I told her that I was 54 years old not 21 years old. Vonda refused to accept my State ID with the same last name on the wire/transaction.
I proceeded to call my son to change the MoneyGram to my current last name so that I could receive the funds sent to me because Vonda was acting in a discriminatory manner towards me and being unreasonable even after I provided her with everything she requested of me. Once she processed my transaction she handed me the money along with a receipt without even looking at me which I thought was very rude.
I would like for Vonda to attend a customer training that includes diversity training as well and maybe a store policy and procedure, and sensitivity training as well.
I love Acme and I shop there all the time, this is unacceptable.
Sincerely,
Gwendolyn Foy

customer service, availability, product quality
Hello, I had very high hopes when Acme took over A&P in my area. I do have to say that I am extremely disappointed. I feel that some of the cashiers are the most unfriendly young adults I have ever experienced in my life. The produce which I had very high hopes on improvement has actually gotten worse. EVERYTHING IS WARM AND SPOILED. My wife looks every week for the Diet Pepsi sales and they are constantly out. I just went there tonight and every shelf was fully stocked and there was no Diet Pepsi. I hate to do it but I feel almost forced into driving 30 min. to got to a competitor. Please do what you can to improve these issues. I would love to continue to support ACME.
Thank You,
Michael Brennan
alec at yorktown heights
I apparently pissed the cashier at the Yorktown Heights acme off real bad by going to him on Saturday 6/10. He was scary, he was like slamming stuff and threw my stuff in the bag and was muttering curses and when I told him to have a good day anyway, because i was too confused and shocked to do anything else, he muttered something, I'm pretty sure he told me to get out. He was incredibley rude. This is the only time I've had a bad experience with ACME so far, and I don't normally like complaining, but he really took it too far.
gas rewards program
On May 25th, 2017 at 12:20, I attempted to get regular gasoline at the Sunoco Gas Station at King's Highway and US Route 40 in Pilesgrove Township, Salem County, New Jersey. I asked the attendant to please enter my telephone number before filling the tank as I am an Acme Markets Gas Rewards participant. I have previously used the rewards program at this station but the last time was told my number did not come up, which I disregarded as a fluke. However, on the 25th, the attendant entered the number then told me I could not fill up unless I paid cash. No credit cards could be used. As I do not carry cash, I had no recourse but to drive to the Wawa Gas Station 2 miles away. But as the attendant was addressing the customer on the other side of the pump, who was also providing a telephone number, the attendant took his credit card and inserted it into the pump. My question is WHY was that customer allowed to provided telephone number and credit card but I was declined? Is this a double standard? I reported the incident to the Acme and was asked by their representative, to send an email of complaint to both companies, in an effort to get resolution. I should also mention that I tried to use the gas rewards at the Hopewell Sunoco station earlier in May (they were flying banners that indicate they are participating) and was told by the attendant that he "...didn't have time for all that, so did I want gas or not?" Initially I felt this was a great combination to team Acme and Sunoco. Now I'm wishing they would team with another fuel provider. Sincerely, Linda Massey

management
Hello,
I work at Acme Markets in Bala Cynwyd, and I have a complaint about the assistant store manager. Her name is Liz Thomas. She gave a customer information about an employee; as far what time this particular employee came in for work and what time they gets off. I know that's against the rules. I feel very unsafe working here if she gives out employees information to customers that don't know me. Also she is very racist and she has an harassment problem . I do love working for the store but I feel very unsafe if she works there
Unethical behavior
On Saturday February 20th 2016, I stopped by Acme in Fort Lee, to pick up something to eat, I passed by the sushi counter and notice they did not have the eel sushi. So I asked the sushi men if he can make me a package, he hesitated but after a few minutes he made it. I also had to pick up a lottery ticket for my elderly neighbor at the customer service. I put the sushi on the counter and got the lottery ticket. I started to leave the store and all of a sudden this sushi men came right on my face asking me for a receive, and insulting me in front of other customer. I have never been so insulted in all my life. I will never go back. When I got home I realized the customer service person never charged me for the items, so in less then 15 minutes I went back to the store to customer service and met with the store manager, and explained to him that I was not charged for the items, and how I was insulted I gave him $10.00 but he refused to take it. I won't be going back, very sad.

Store manager
The store itself is great, but the store manager is a [censored] bag. I over heard him talking to a few of the employees and I was embarrassed for them. Especially when he was speaking to the Canada Dry guy. COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL. i believe his name is Charles or Charlie. I will NEVER shop at the ACME on Oregon Ave again. He is a disgrace to that store and people in general. We are all working human beings trying to make a buck. No one deserves to be treated like a failure, especially in front of customers... Says a lot about his character!

bad practice
I had bought a series of products that was discounted in the fish department. The value was not very much and I prepared two of the items for dinner, and had one ready for the morning since I usually must rush out and needed a quick meal. When I opened the package the fish was spoiled. I threw it away. Taking it to the store is a problem since I have a bum...

I have frequented the ACME store located in Avondale, PA over the past couple years since the stores grand opening. At that time, it was clear that the employees in the store exhibited positive spirits and provided good customer service to the patrons. The store was new, clean and the employees seemed happy and excited to provide quality customer service.
It is with much disappointment that I am writing to you today in reference to the poor customer service I have witnessed during my last two shopping experiences at the Avondale store, in particular with the employees staffed in the Deli and Hot Foods department.
I do not know their names, but on both occasions, I have found the older gentleman with the glasses who handles the ACME fried chicken specials to be extremely rude to the customers. Likewise the older lady with the glasses behind the deli case is equally rude, snappy and short with customers. Please note that this is not age discrimination by any means; I am simply stating the facts based on recent experiences from a customers point of view. I expect that you will take a customers feedback into consideration for the well being of your store.
Last Saturday evening on May 22, there were no customers at the deli counter. I headed over there and waited to be waited on, as these two same individuals were talking behind the counter, along with who I believe was the Assistant Store Director in charge that night. All three of them were talking amongst themselves and did not make any acknowledgement that there was a customer waiting. As such, I took a quick moment to tend to my young daughter who was fidgeting in the shopping cart as kids normally do.
It was only for a few seconds and next thing I know, I hear the woman snap loudly at me and say, I look up only to witness her rude demeanor and impatient stance. Meanwhile I see the other gentlemen and the assistant store director share a smirk. I understand that this is my perception of the events that unfolded, however as someone who has also personally worked in the service industry for almost a decade many years back, I would consider this type of behavior as inappropriate, rude and unsatisfactory customer service.
On another shopping experience, it was a Friday evening, and I was waiting for the next batch of the fried chicken special which the same gentleman was tending to in the fryer. I noticed that he was rude to all the customers as it was evident that he was frustrated by all the chicken orders every customer was requesting. The same woman also comes over and demands that I grab a ticket to be helped. Then, as I waited by the deli counter, it took almost 20 minutes before she serviced any of the waiting customers. When she finally got to my ticket, she then became distracted by her colleagues request to look for a particular deli meat on sale. Instead of apologizing and acknowledging the customer she was working on, she stops what she was doing and walks all around the case for the next 5 minutes trying to find this deli special. I remember looking at a couple of the other customers who were all patiently waiting and sharing a Can you believe this sentiment.
I do not know what kind of store you are running, but I would certainly hope that it is not to send customers away. Perhaps these employees are acting up and when you are not on duty. No matter, I will choose to shop at the other Acmes and Giants where I am treated like a customer and provided quality respectful service.
I ordered books and never received them. They are not returning my calls.
yeah everyone should know acme is crap, wylie coyote is the only customer that keeps buying their merchandise, you should have known it was crap from the beginning i mean did you never watch roadrunner?
