Chrysler 2023 chrysler pacifica glove box door "lift assist" cord.

What a joke. The idiot "designers" (or the pointy-headed intellectual accountants who told the engineers "no" to save a nickel) FAILED TO INSTALL A RETAINING DEVICE on the glove box lift assist cord. When you go to change your cabin air filter and unhook the recoil cord nothing prevents it from flying back into the cavity behind the glove box and getting stuck on something so that it cannot be retrieved! Luckily, the box still opens and closes fine so this little "convenience" isn't necessary at all and was an obvious waste. Why Chrysler, WHY?!

Recommendation: Do yourself a favor and just eliminate it from the get go ;)

It's understandable to feel upset when such a small detail creates such an inconvenience, especially when changing something as routine as a cabin air filter. It's baffling why such a design oversight would be allowed, and it’s disappointing that it has affected your experience.

Luckily, your glove box still functions, but you’re right – it’s a flaw that shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Hang in there, and I hope Chrysler takes note of these issues to improve their designs in the future.

Chrysler Dealership deceptive practices

On May 30, 2024, I drove from Las Vegas, NV to Envision CDJR in West Covina, CA to purchase a vehicle. I communicated with Jarvis the sales representative. The listed price was $78,694 on auto trader. It was Memorial Day weekend, and I asked the sales representative about holiday and veteran discounts. I received a text stating "after taxes, fees, roughly $60,515." I agreed to the price. Once I arrived at the dealership, I have a witness along with a text message stating the agreed price. Unfortunately, this was a bait and switch, and I was charged $ 81,000 for the vehicle. I was given my contract on a thumb drive, and I did not see the changed price until I arrived back to Las Vegas. I contacted the general manager and the sales representative to solve the issue and no response.

Claimed loss: $20,000 difference in the stated price

Desired outcome: $20,000 refunded because I did not agree to $81,000

Chrysler 2023 ram 3500 limited longhorn

I bought a new Ram 3500 on the 16th of January 2023. On the way home from the dealership I got a check engine light. It took over a month to get the issue fixed ( particulate filter). Within a week of getting that one fixed another check engine light came on. Once again after two weeks it made it into the dealership to be cleared. Within a day the check engine light came on again. One w again waited over a week to get it into the dealer. After a month they had the part in to fix it (csv sensor). Over all I have had the truck 5 months from new with 3 check engine lights . I have 4000km and 2500 km were driven with a check engine light.

When I called the dealership I bought it from looking for a solution the sales manger Wes said he did not like the way he was being talked to. Guess it is not normal to be a little frustrated when you buy a 120k truck that has never run correctly.

When I gave him time to build a solution in only gave me the cancellation information of the additional warranty and insurance that I bought.

I have over $6000 into accessories and will not buy another Ram.

Desired outcome: I wanted a solution from the dealership a different truck and transfer accessories and insurance at no cost.With their obvious disconcert I want my losses covered

Chrysler GPS updates from Here (company who is responsible for updating) all Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep GPS units

I have a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and noticed on the screen when driving on the lower right side of screen the "Speed Limit" shown were off by either 5-10 MPH. I contacted Jeep dealer and was told I had to purchase the updates. I did and received an update for U-Connect and for Maps. I installed them and noticed same problem when driving. I called "Here", and was told they only update maps and not the speed limits and they didn't know who did.

I talked with Jeep U-Connect yesterday and they called Here and was told the same thing that I told her. Seems like a waste of money on my part purchasing an update that did not resolve my issue. I think you need to find another provider for updating units.

Desired outcome: Fix Navigation updates so they update roads and speed limits shown on screen.

Chrysler 2015 jeep rubicon

I purchased this vehicle new from a dealership. After moving up to Oregon in September 2023, I have been experiencing a leaking problem on both the front passenger and front driver's sides of the vehicle. The floorboard area is saturated with water when it rains. I have researched this and come to find that there are numerous complaints about the same problem and very difficult to fix. Chrysler needs to make good on this. I cannot continue to drive this vehicle in this climate and a car should be watertight. Especially if it's just sitting. I can only use the defrost and foot settings for heat in the winter because if I use the others, the windows fog up from the moisture in the car.

Chrysler Reman. Trans failure

We are a chevrolet dealer that installed a chysler reman transmission in a customers 2013 jeep grand cherokee. The transmission was purchased from zeigler in kalamazoo. We flushed the trans cooler using the gm approved kent moore tool and it had a satisfactory flow rate. The trans was installed and filled, trans fast learn procedure was performed. The vehicle was roadtested and after 11 miles the transmission began to slip. Chrysler powertrain was contacted and we were informed that the selling dealer never registered the trans for warranty coverage. We contacted zeigler and the trans got registered. We again contacted chysler powertrain and initiated a claim. We sent the requested images and information, and the claim was denied because we did not replace the cooler. We were never informed that the cooler had to be replaced when we purchased the transmission. Our supplying dealer got a hold of Chrysler powertrain and a lead advisor called us and said he would cover under warranty if we would purchase and install a new cooler and lines and email him proof of purchase. We as instructed and the proof was sent. Receipt was not acknowledged but we proceeded with repairs to satisfy our customer. Another powertrain employee continued to ask for more images and i finally informed him that carl had already approved the repair. Carl sent an email asking why we proceeded and we replied that we thought he had granted approval with the condition that we replaced cooler and lines. No one will reply to our email

Chrysler My ram 2500 hd 4x4 with utility box I bought back in dec 2023

I went into Normandin Chrysler deal in San Jose Ca. I told them that when I put some lumber on the racks and went down the highway. the truck would sway side to side. They told me they didn't know why and said I was overloading it.

Then I stop by the dealer Morgan hill dodge, which had a lot of trucks just like mine. They said that they knew the problem and told me what I needed to do. that I needed to replace the stock shocks with air bags. and that would stop the problem. I am not Happy, because when they sold me the truck no one told me about this problem. From what I am understanding that this has been going on for some time. Now it is costing me $4,150.26 to fix the problem, which the service agreement will not cover. what I am asking for is will you help pay half to make this right. The company that can fix the problem is Advance Trucks Inc. In Morgan hill Ca. This is a very dangerous problem I could have had a accident and been hurt very badly.

Chrysler Recently purchased a pre-owned 2013 dodge dart

recently (one month ago) purchased a preowned 2013 Dodge Dart from

McDonalds, located in Bridgton Maine 04009. After two weeks the car would not start. I called MacDonalds and notified them of the problem. The car was approximately 2 miles from my home requiring a neighbor to come and pick me up as I was stranded several miles from home. So, I had it towed at a cost of $90. The problem was the clutch switch which had snapped upon pushing on the clutch to change gears. It thus It needed a replacement, The part is no bigger than a box of cigarettes. The repair Tech Craig repaired it and did not charge me for it as it was a defective part. One week later in my driveway the ar would not start again. So, another tow to MacDonalds at a cost of $80 for the tow. It was the same part (cultch switch. that failed again.) This time I was charged $355. One week later it happened again. I called Craig the repair mgr. at Macdonald for assistance. Craig said he would send a contract repair crew Thy arrived immediately. It took them ten minutes at NO CHARGE to fix it. He showed me the part that had been replaced at MacDonalds with electrical tape wrapped around the switch. ($355) for electrical tape? I have I had indicated to them that I had a disabled wife at home, and I am 78 years old living on a meagre pension. The had no loaner to give me during the entire process, thus putting the burden on my neighbor to offer rides. I returned to MacDonalds and asked for the Manager. After explaining the above and he claimed he would have to charge me again or give me several free oil changes. The Manager absolutely refused to refund the $355 for the electrical tape repair, and treated me with no respect. I have bought since my retirement for 14 years every car from MacDonald's. Frustrated I left and said "I will no longer buy future cars there. His response was "See what I care".

There were the witnesses of the Asst. Sales Mgr. And Repair tech.

Chrysler Ram truck radio delaminating

I purchased a used 2018 Ram 1500 ECO-Diesel in the fall of 2022 from a dealership in Michigan. Noted over the last 6 months that the radio would go into scan mode and would not stop scanning until I turned the engine off. (known issue with this radio) The dealership stated not an issue with Chrysler as they know of this issue and will fix the problem. I contacted the FCA Chrysler and spoke with a woman who speaks broken English and advised me that this truck in a Canadian truck and I would need to contact FCA Canada Inc., I did and received an email back from them stating that I'm not a Canadian citizen therefore they can't help me, I would need to contact FCA Chrysler USA. I tried to contact the first person I spoke with who stated my case was escalated to somebody else. I've called 4 times now over the course of a week and a half, 2 times asked to speak with this agent and twice to speak with a supervisor each time I was advised I would get a call back that day, No call back. I just want my radio fixed, it's a known issue with Chrysler it shouldn't matter where the truck was made or sold the issue is the issue.

Chrysler Dodge Ram Eco Diesel 1500 3L

Vehicle was purchased in August 2022 for $40K with 118000 KM. Oil change was done at the 8KM mark. Shortly after the oil change the motor went on truck in April of 2023. Put $17K into the truck for another motor, it went in November 2023. Warranty covered the second motor but we paid $4K to have it installed. Motor went again for the third time at 151KM.

We are now into this truck for almost $65K and it cannot run. I have spoken to countless mechanics as well as the Manager at Dartmouth Dodge who told me he is also out $20K on buying this truck.

It is a very well known issue that the 3L engine cannot support the turbo and I see there is a class action suit filed in BC with this exact issue.

I have called Chrysler Canada but was refused to be escalated to a supervisor when I was told there is nothing they could do.

I have since contacted a lawyer and will be going to the media regarding this.

It has financially ruined our family considering we require the a truck to conduct our contracting business.

Desired outcome: Where this is a well documented issue with these trucks, recalls/compensation should be given. I would like a response regarding this issue/complaint either by email ([protected]@hotmail.com) or by phone at [protected]

Chrysler Uconnect -grand cherokee 2023

Purchased a Jeep Cherokee 2023, in December 2022. Since the moment it was driven off the lot, the Uconnect system has never worked. The dealership kept advising that a software upgrade would be available Q1, Q2 , Q3 and Q4. Q4 for 2023 came and went and still no updates. When we purchased the vehicle there was no mention that there were issues with the Uconnect system. After doing research there have been issues and lawsuits for this same reason. The backup camera stops working, the screen goes blank during navigation, calls are dropped and all that I have been instructed to do is to do a soft reset. How is it even possible that we are now in January 2024 without a software update? I feel like we were duped in purchasing this vehicle with no mention of all the issues with the Uconnect system.

Chrysler Loss payout payment of $28,000.00

Sent out payout payment of check to chrysler capital, on october 30, 2023, was taken out of my bank, on october 31st. Never heard from chrysler capital, called a customer service rep by the name of roslyn told me that my check was found and being processed. She lied to me... Check was never found. Had to wait 5 weeks before my check could be cancelled. So, my payment was considered late. Chrysler told me I had to pay a late fee of $35.00... I have leased 3 jeeps in 9 years, and was never late with a payment, but because of horrible service at chrysler capital, I had to pay $35.00.

Claimed loss: $28,000.00 check that was never found...

Desired outcome: Because of being told my check was being processed, and it was not, my payment for my jeep was late....$35.00 should be sent back to me, due to Chrysler Capital mistakes.

Chrysler Repair parts delayed dodge ram 1500 bighorn

To whom it may concern,

I have been waiting over 5 months for a repair to come in to fix my 2022 Dodge RAM1500 Bighorn through Rife Autobody Westerville Ohio (Nathan Combs). We are told every other week that the part is in transit and will be here on said day...and on said day IT DOES NOT COME IN! We have been told this over 10 times and I have had to use over $600 of my own money to cover car rental fees, WHICH IS UNFAIR. And I understand the supply chain issues have been difficult since COVID but to set a false expectation with the customer and repair shop over 10 times in 5 months is very bad business and weakens your brand and confidence in your buyers who chose Dodge over Ford and Chevy! I am a very disappointed customer and would like to know what Chrysler/Dodge is going to do for me to improve this situation and restore my confidence in their products?

That said, when the part does finally come in, I now have no insurance money left to cover a rental that will be needed for 2-3 weeks while my truck is being reapired...and have already wasted over $600 of my own money renting a truck in the beginning of the repair request/delays so i think Chrysler/Dodge should cover my rental and re-imburse me for my out-of-pocket expenses!

Chrysler Loss of warranty

Aletter was received from Chrysler in Sept 2020 saying to keep the waranty active on the paint protection it needed to be re applied prior to Nov 17 2020. We contacted to dealer (Bayside Chrysler Meaford Ontario) who informed us they didn't do this, so we cotacted the other dealers in the area who also declined to carry out this service. We ended up contacting Chrysler HQ in Windser who told them to do it. In August this year someone ran into our vechle while it was parked. We have had the damage fixed and when we whent to th dealer to have the replaced panels re sprayed with the paint protector they informed us our car was no longer covered by waranty, when we qustioned this and produced proof of the spray being aplied they said it isn't in the computer as hving been carried out. We contacted Chrysler in Windser and was told the same thing. We can prove the work was done to extnd the waranty for th 5 years ending Nov 2025 but no one whants to honour thier waranty.

Chrysler Oil filter housing/oil cooler

When we noticed an oil drip took it to local tire and oil change found out oil filter housing/oil cooler was cracked. They had seen this before and said part was made of plastic but replacement is made of metal which tells me that chrysler knew they had a defective part. My pacifica van is a 2018 and only has 24,000 miles on it. Total cost to replace this was $820.00. I have read that others have had the same problem. This should have been a recall since if we had not had a battery change and noticed a drip it could have effected our transmission. I heard that some got this work done free under powertrain warranty. My van had just past warranty date.

Chrysler 2016 300 AWD

I spoke with someone at Chrysler on Monday October 30 as I was having some issues that sounded first sounded like a faint ticking noise and then 2 weeks later sounded so bad we had to park it! When I spoke with Chrysler they told me to take it to a certified dealership to have it looked at and if it was any of the recalls on the same year, make and model they would replace it since it was a VERY dangerous safety recall. They also told the certified dealership that I was taking it to the same day! When the dealership called me and told me it was in fact a recall of the same year, make and model he reported it to them and the woman told me she was going to escalate the case so it could be taken care of! I called back to Chrysler 3 days later and spoke to a very rude man who told me it would not be paid for and that they didn't even have Documation that I had called on the 30thth when in fact they did because they also called the certified dealer I took it to and said they would pay for it! Now i have a $2800 bill...

Claimed loss: $2800 plus the amout of time I (single mother) have been without a car and a way to get my kids to school and myself to work!

Desired outcome: Pay what you said you were going to pay! We pay good money to have nice cars and we would like you to honor your word!

Q: WHAT IS A SAFTEY RECALL?

A: Safety recalls include any problem encountered with an FCA US LLC product related to the safe operation of the vehicle or the safety of the occupants. FCA US LLC will correct the problem, at no charge, even if the vehicle is out of warranty and you are not the original owner. I screenshot the FAQ that is on EVERY single Chrysler page and they would not let me post it.

It was in fact the driveshaft of my car which DID put myself and my child in danger, SERIOUS danger.

Chrysler Stonecrest jeep chrysler service (lack of) department

There really isn't enough space to include everything that went wrong. I have a case that is still open and I am waiting for Whitney to call me back, but time is definitely of the essence here. I made an appointment, one week later and after many tries to get an update, I had to go to the dealership to get an update, many excuses and a discussion from Keith on how customer focused he is...(not), the car was still not serviced. Weeks went by and a few visits back to the dealership to no avail, I called corporate. By the time the case was activated, I received a message that the car was ready, paid $500 for diagnostics and an auxiliary battery, drove for a week and then...at 3:00am this morning, the battery light came on, message displaced that the car was cutting off and the rest is history. It will not charge, will not start, had to be towed and there it sits. My daughter works from 5pm-3am. being stranded waiting for a tow truck on a vehicle that is still under warranty and just been in the shop for a month is not what we expect when paying for your product! Unacceptable, poor and perhaps deliberately horrible customer service no matter how you slice it. No loaner car was provided for the month. I work opposite hours and have had no sleep for a month due to this car situation and the complete lack of urgency and skill to repair what should've been easy. No return phone calls during the jeep's stay at the dealership. Only to be told that he had other customers. Well, I am a customer and understand that I am not the only one, but I am one nevertheless. I at the very least deserve the service that comes with the purchase of your product. This is inexcusable and deserves some attention immediately. I will not return the car to this dealership in hopes that you have one that understands the importance of customer care. I am requesting that someone call me immediately, escalate this issue, provide a loaner car or pay for a rental and repair the car correctly/quickly so that we all can rest well knowing that your product transports my daughter from point A to point B without breaking down. Can that be done? I am livid and will contact an attorney if not responded to within 24 hours. Clock is ticking. Your product is a lemon or your service is. Your inadequacy is costing me time and money. Prove me wrong.

Chrysler Warranty department

I had the transmission replaced in my work truck several months ago, it has since gone out again. It should be covered uulnder the part warranty service. It's been at my mechanic where it was originally replaced for 3 weeks now. They've been jumping through hoops with forms, procedures, diagnostics and testing at Chrysler's request but apparently what's being asked of them at this point is beyond their ability. It now needs to be towed to the local dealer. I've been told that Chrysler will not pay for the tow from the mechanic to the dealer much less the tow to the mechanic which was over $1200. I'm also told by the dealer that he doubts he can even look at it this week. This is my work truck and I've been out of work for over 3 weeks now!

Desired outcome: Cover the towing and expedite the diagnostic and repair.

Chrysler False and misleading advertising

On 10/06/2023 we found a vehicle advertised by Orlando Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. We went through the process for the vehicle to be approved online. We were approved. Went into the dealership and was told the vehicle was strickley cash. They do not have financing for anything under $7000.00. They tried pushing us into a more expensive vehicle. None of this information was on the web site. The loan application was right with the vehicle online. Nothing is stated in the disclaimer they have posted. Went home thought about it and tried calling the manager, Dominic, would not give me his last name and was very rude, stated that was their policy and hung up on me. They say they record their calls so if so you can hear it. I am 72 years old and my family has always been Chrysler dodge owners. NO LONGER. This treatment is totally unacceptable. I have file a complaint with the BBB, Federal Trade Commision, and the Attorney General's office here in Florida. I have photos of the ad and disclaimer statement from online. Dealership address is 4101 W. Colonial Dr. Orlando Fl 32808.

Desired outcome: Their advertising practices corrected, and their bait and switch antics stopped. Business owners like this give Chrysler a bad look.

Chrysler Recall info for 5.7 hemi manifold bolts

I own a 2015 ram 3500 with the 5.7l hemi. It is currently at my local dealership having the manifold bolts replaced, for which the dealer is charging me $1600.00

I understand that in 2019 you recalled the same manifold bolts on all 1500 series trucks with the same 5.7L engine so my question is why are the manifold bolts in my 3500 with the 5.7L engine not covered? I talked to one of your customer service reps and they insist that my vehicle is not covered by this recall due to the vin number regardless that it has the same 5.7L engine.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and was refused.

To say that i am unhappy with your company at this moment is an understatement. I have been a loyal mopar customer for the majority of my 66 years and have always been able to resolve any issues concerning my vehicles. For some reason this time is different.

I would appreciate your prompt response and attention to this matter. My vehicle information is below.

Chrysler Sales and service

Bought a 2016 Jeep Wrangler sold as is apon purchase we were told that before we pick it up that the vehicle will be looked over front to back the noticed a fresh inspection sticker on the Jeep the sales person spoke with the other sales person who took it in on trade he indictates that they havent had the Jeep in to look it over yet. Second day we have it the change oil indictor comes on we call to inquire and were told the oil has been changed just have to reset it come to find out the oil wasen't changed we were leaving for vaction the following day and were told we should be okay until we return no we would like to have it changed before we leave so the sales person was able to get us in the following morning quickly call us and says can you get here right away yes no problem 10min drive apon arrival we were greated by a not so nice person in service who indicates to us that we were supposed to be there right away I said it takes 10mins to get here he say's well your going to have to wait 20 mins I'm not holding a bay for you I said do not speak to me like that I went to speak to our sales person which looked after the situation on our drive home we hear a clunk from the front when you hit a bump and a squeak from the rear we get home I call my mechanic to get it in right away cause the dealer would have been a few days most likely he looks our vehicle over tells me the rear rotors are gone the e brake needs pads and the hardware kit also 2 front U-Joints drivers side and passengers side so I call the sales person they say I will see if I can source out the parts in the mean time I tell my mechanic order the parts just incase which he recieved in 30 mins 2-1/2 hours later I call back I'm still waiting to hear back I said he needs the parts asap or the jeep will be holding up his bay all weekend so after along wait I got my mechanic to go ahead with the work the sale person said the parts are apid for and will be there in 30 mins well thats way to late he needs his bay today cant wait until monday so they say we can offer you a loaner for the weekend well no the jeep will be ready today so they say I will call you back Monday and we will do something to help out in my opinion should have covered the cost of having the jeep repaired my wife speaks to the sales person and told her how disappointed she was with them for not doing what they said and having the jeep looked over before letting us take it and is told what did you want me to do shut the dealership down for you. Thats why there called inspections had we not had the jeep looked at and kept driving it this case could have been alot worse i called to speak with the sales manager as we haden't heard back from our sales person due to health reasons haden't recieved a call back in 3 hours so I went into see him I waited an hour to see him we had a meeting and I said put yourself in my shoes how would you feel after spending $35,000 on a vehicle and having to put $1200 worth of work into in a month not very far he said well you did signed a paper saying it was sold as is thats fine but do you not look them over before selling them this is not a $1000 vehicle its $35,000 should have been looked over not over looked we feel that we should have been priority as we are a customer and customers are #1 we were told to have it inspected due to the fact that they had no way to get us the yellow copy for the inspection sticker which illegal not to have due to faudulant stickers going around took the jeep back to my mechanic more money another $400 for front shocks and labour costs now the dealer paid for the first round of parts and offered to pay for the inspection or give us a gift card well in my personnal opinion they should have paid for it all you can't put a price on someones life we were looking to upgrade my 2016 Honda for a newer vehicle but we will take our business elsewhere where we will be treated like customers not a door mat

Desired outcome: They paid for the parts but we feel they should have paid for everything which in the end came to just over $1200 after the true inspection and having to replace the front shocks
