Receiving chemo infusions at Helen Graham Center for over 5 months. In the 6th month the RN put the IV in wrong and ran the chemo under my arm instead of my vein. This caused my arm to swell and become very painful. Christiana Care knew what had happened and told me to go to the ER. Only concern at the ER was getting money. I filed a complaint with Christiana Care and it is apparently my fault that the IV was inserted wrong. I have endured weeks of pain and multiple doses of antibiotics due to this. Save yourself the pain and the ignorance of this place. At the end of the day, they do something wrong and blame it on you. Don't bother filing a complaint because they will find it is somehow your fault and expect you to pay the copay. Again, the complaints department does not and will not help you. They are there simply to tell you they did nothing wrong and the patient caused the problem. Funny how this occurred at infusion, and it's noted in all my patient records, and I was instructed to go to the ER, but it is my fault.
