I'm writing to complain about MultiCare hospital
I'm writing to complain about MultiCare hospital. I had a motor vehicle accident on September 7, and went to MultiCare ER in *** on 09/09. They sent me a medical bill for $11,194. We applied for financial assistance and it was approved, but they sent us the bill again. We told them there were no pending charges because financial aid covered it. However, they said there was no record of financial aid approval, even though we sent them proof of the approval letter. We hired an attorney to handle this issue, and the attorney requested a settlement for the bill. After the settlement, the attorney received approval from MultiCare to reduce the bill from $11,194 to $1000. We paid them $1000 by check. However, MultiCare still claims that there is no financial aid or approval for financial assistance. They sent the remaining balance of $10,194 to the *** collection Company in May 2022. I have not received any letter from the collection company about this issue. They put the bill on my credit report, causing it to decrease by 116 points. My credit is ruined. MultiCare has been harassing me for the past 3 years about this bill. I have evidence that shows there is no remaining balance. I have contacted MultiCare's billing department multiple times, but they refuse to listen to my request or respond to my inquiries. They should close their business because they don't know how to deal with people/patients.
